YOUR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS ARE UNDER ATTACK!

The "Home of the Free" and "Land of the Brave" is rapidly becoming the "Home of the Controlled" and "Land of the Intimidated". The fundamental right of Americans to share their feelings in protest, specifically regarding those who need to hear their message the most, may now become a FELONY!

The Second Amendment has been under attack for some time and now it's the First Amendment!

Let's take a look at H.R. 347, the "Federal Restricted Buildings and Grounds Improvement Act of 2011," perhaps a better label would be the "First Amendment Eradication Act" Incidentally, only three members of the House Of Representatives voted against this, among these were Justin Amash and Ron Paul.

H.R. 347 Explained:

The law is allowed to be used against anyone who knowingly enters or remains in a restricted building or grounds without lawful authority to do so, but those grounds are considered any area where someone — rather it’s President Obama, Senator Santorum or Governor Romney — will be temporarily visiting, whether or not the public is even made aware of their presence. Entering such a facility is thus outlawed, as is disrupting the orderly conduct of “official functions,” engaging in disorderly conduct “within such proximity to” the event or acting violent to anyone, anywhere near the premises. Under that verbiage, that means a peaceful protest outside a candidate’s concession speech would be a federal offense, but those occurrences covered as special event of national significance don’t just stop there, either. And neither does the list of covered persons that receive protection!....

With Secret Service protection awarded to visiting dignitaries, this also means, for instance, that the federal government could consider a demonstration against any foreign president on American soil as a violation of federal law, as long as it could be considered disruptive to whatever function is occurring.

In short, they can assign Secret Service protection to anyone they like, without your knowledge, and simply by being in the proximity to these persons can make you a FELON if you're peacefully protesting on any given subject or in ANY area they may choose to be in.

Free Speech is undisputably essential to preserving a democracy and in fact ensures the free exchange of ideas that recognizes Human Rights under Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Let's look at how Chicago handles some basic Freedoms:

Christopher Drew thought he was exercising his First Amendment when he recorded an altercation with cops in 2009, but for the Chicago, Illinois artist, he couldn’t be further from the truth. He was approached by an officer with the Chicago Police Department three years ago and questioned about the artwork he was selling on the city’s State Street. When law enforcement realized that they were being recorded, Drew was dished felony charges under the eavesdropping law and ended up spending a few days in jail. Drew asked an Illinois judge to dismiss the hefty felony charge, but the court rejected his plea. Later this year his case is expected to go to trial, and if found guilty, Drew could serve 15 years in prison.

“In a democracy you are suppose to oversee your public servants. If they’re doing wrong you’re suppose to bring it to the attention of other citizens and to the court,” Drew explained to RT. “They have no privacy right, they are in public and they are on the public dime and doing public duty. That means that we’re their employer. We have a right to record our employees and bring that evidence to the system that they are doing wrong.”

Michael Allison has become a victim of the police state’s bizarre law, too. He was at his mom’s house in Illinois when cops showed up and questions the automobiles he had parked on the property. When Allison began recording his conversation with the cops, he was cuffed and charged with violating the eavesdropping law. Those charges included five counts of eavesdropping, each with a maximum of 15 years in prison.

For videotaping his own conversation with a cop on his family property, Allison could have served the rest of his life behind bars.

Never forget this. The 2nd Amendment UNDERPINS and ENSURES ALL OTHER CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS! You think it's outdated? You better look around and think again! Your liberties are being taken from you as we speak!

Wayne LaPierre says it like it is!

This commentary was adapted from a Tuesday address before the annual Weatherby International Hunting and Conservation Awards in Reno, Nev.

In his second inaugural address, President Barack Obama quoted the Declaration of Independence and he talked about “unalienable rights.” His words make a mockery of both.

Consider one line near the end of the president’s speech: “We cannot mistake absolutism for principle.” What is this “absolutism” the president attacks? And what are the so-called “principles” that he wants us to settle for instead?

Obama wants to turn the idea of “absolutism” into a dirty word, just another word for “extremism.” He wants you to accept the idea of “principles” as he sees fit to define them. It’s a way of redefining words so that common sense is turned upside down and nobody knows the difference.

Think about it. As families, when we’re broke and all our credit cards are maxed out, we’re forced to tighten our belts. But when the government is broke and our bond rating is tumbling and the president wants more new social programs, borrowing more money is supposed to be “principled.” And anybody who questions that is a no-good “absolutist” — Obama code for extremist.

We as gun owners face the same kind of false ultimatum. We’re told that to stop insane killers, we must accept less freedom — less than the criminal class and political class keep for themselves.

We’re told that limits on magazine capacity or bans on 100-year-old firearms technology — bans that affect only lawful people — will somehow make us safer.

We’re told that wanting the same technology that the criminals and our leaders keep for themselves is a form of “absolutism” and that accepting less freedom and protection for ourselves is the only “principled” way to live.

Think about what that means. Barack Obama is saying that the only “principled” way to make children safe is to make lawful citizens less safe and violent criminals more safe.

Criminals couldn’t care less about Barack Obama’s so-called “principles.” They don’t have principles — that’s why they’re criminals.

Obama wants you to believe that putting the federal government in the middle of every firearm transaction — except those between criminals — will somehow make us safer.

That means forcing law-abiding people to fork over excessive fees to exercise their rights. Forcing parents to fill out forms to leave a family heirloom to a loved one — standing in line and filling out a bunch of bureaucratic paperwork, just so a grandfather can give a grandson a Christmas gift. He wants to put every private, personal transaction under the thumb of the federal government, and he wants to keep all those names in a massive federal registry.

There are only two reasons for that federal list of gun owners — to tax them or take them. And to anyone who says that’s excessive, Barack Obama says you’re an “absolutist.”

He doesn’t understand you. He doesn’t agree with the freedoms you cherish. If the only way he can force you to give them up is through scorn and ridicule, he’s more than willing to do it — even as he claims the moral high ground.

In the very same sentence that Obama talked about “absolutism” versus “principle,” he scolded his critics for “name-calling.”

Yet he’s more than willing to demonize his opponents, silence his critics and slur the NRA — in the words of Sen. Charles Schumer, as an “extremist fringe group.” And look at how he demonizes Republicans in Congress.

When Barack Obama says, “we cannot mistake absolutism for principle,” what he’s saying is that precision and clarity and exactness in language and law should be abandoned in favor of his nebulous, undefined “principles.”

But absolutes do exist.

Words do have specific meaning, in language and in law.

It’s the basis of all civilization.

It’s why our laws are written — so that the “letter of the law” carries the force of the law.

That’s why our Bill of Rights was written into law, to ensure the fundamental freedoms of a minority could never be denied by a majority. Those are the principles we call unalienable rights.

Without those absolutes, without those protections, democracy decays into nothing more than two wolves and one lamb voting on what to eat for lunch.

Just because Barack Obama wishes words meant something other than what they mean, he doesn’t have the right to define them any way he wants. Because when words can mean anything, they mean nothing.

When “absolutes” are abandoned for “principles,” the Constitution becomes a blank slate for anyone’s graffiti and our rights and freedoms are defaced.

We believe in our country. We believe in our Bill of Rights. And we believe in our Second Amendment, all of our Second Amendment. Because we believe in the freedom and safety that it, and it alone, guarantees — absolutely.

Joe Biden - Self Appointed Gun "Expert"

Joe Biden never fails to impress me. He's now a now a self-appointed Gun and Self-Defense Expert. He advises that people are better able to defend themselves with a double barreled shotgun than with an assault rifle. Notice how he refers to people that are "untrained." Wouldn't it be more appropriate and responsible to tell people to seek Professional Training if they are going to use a firearm for self-defense? The spin and stupidity continue unchallenged!

Joe Biden's response defies logic. The Department of Homeland Security is now seeking to acquire 7,000 additional AR-15 rifles, which they refer to as "personal defense weapons,” and 30 round magazines. As you can see, when these rifles are in their hands, they're "Personal Defense Weapons," but when they're in the hands of civilians they become "assault weapons." Perhaps the DHS should consider scrapping their request and instead arm themselves with Double Barreled Shotguns?

Make no mistake, a shotgun is a very viable firearm to defend your family. A Double Barrel shotgun is however a very poor choice by virtue of it's 2 round capacity. A pump action or semi-automatic shotgun is far more capable, but is limited by range and firing rate when confronting multiples threats. Shotguns are also far more difficult to use and control by those of smaller stature, including women, and those those with certain handicaps - the very people who are most vulnerable.

As the world paused in reflection on Jan. 27--Holocaust Remembrance Day--Fathi Shihab Eddim, a key figure in Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi's administration, said the Holocaust was "a hoax cooked up by U.S. intelligence operatives." He also suggested that six million Jews were not killed by Hitler, but rather moved to the U.S. Eddim described the Holocaust as a story the U.S. invented "to justify war and massive destruction against military and civilian facilities of the Axis powers, and especially to hit Hiroshima and Nagasaki with the Atomic bomb."

Perhaps this shouldn't be surprising. The Obama Administration thinks it's appropriate the disarm the American People and instead, arm the Mexican Drug Cartels, hence "Fast and Furious!"

What happened to "Common Sense" and accountability? All of this just shows there is neither in this Administration - one that promised to be the most transparent in history!

I'll give Obama that, he's incredibly transparent in his goals, just not in his disclosure or accountability!

Communists Back Obama's 2nd Amendment Grab

Surprise! Surprise! The communist rag, "Peoples World", a mouthpiece for the Communist Party USA, has come out in support of Democrats and the Obama Administration's assault on the Second Amendment.

Calling the 2nd Amendment "obsolete", the author, Rick Nagin, says there is "no basis for claiming this amendment was intended to permit unregulated personal acquisition of firearms, including amassing military weapons and private arsenals for "protection" from the government. No government, especially one that is new and fragile, has ever authorized citizens to arm themselves against it". Well, the Founders would be surprised to hear this, because that is exactly what they authorized! Having just been through a war against a tyrannical government, and where many had personally, or were a mere one or two generations removed from family members who had fled tyrannical governments, they were well aware of the importance of a country's people to have the means to stand up to these government monarchs and despots. Even those"new and fragile" governments.

In a further rewriting of history, and a complete lack of context of the time of the founders, the author posits that the 2nd Amendment was adopted to "muster militia to put down domestic uprisings, including slave revolts, to repulse any attempted return by the British and to deal with clashes with Native Americans". (Gee! What Hollywood crackpot have we heard this from recently?) This is just as laughable as the modern statist's argument of the 2nd Amendment being enacted to protect hunters rights, thus allowing idiots like NY Governor Andrew Cuomo to claim "you don't need 10 bullets to kill a deer". This is the lie of the statist and the communist. Present spurious arguments, further dumbing-down low information voters on our history, the Founders, and the Constitution, leading them to willingly accept, and vote for, their own loss of liberty.
That the communists are coming out in support of this is not surprising. It's what they do. What is disturbing is the total media blackout on the continued support for Barack Obama from the Communist Party USA. I am convinced that the vast majority of American's have absolutely no idea - ZERO! - that Obama has been receiving the endorsement of the communists for years".
Obama's communist ties go back to his youth. Throughout his life he has surrounded himself with known communists. From Frank Marshall Davis (his mentor), to the communists he actively sought out in college, to SEIU's Andy Stern stating, "Workers of the world unite is not just a slogan anymore". Connecticut AFL-CIO President was presented an award from CPUSA in 2010, proudly claiming "Anyone who stands with me for workers' rights, I stand with them,". Notably, AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka was the most frequent guest to the White House in Obama's first term, and has boldly stated that he "talks to someone from the White House every day".
The question that I have is this: Why are so few of the American people so unconcerned that the Obama Administration is so in lockstep with the communists? So much so, that their support for Obama and his policies has been nearly unanimous throughout his first term and even earlier.

Even more disturbing is the media's sycophantic praise of Obama, their unwillingness to report on anything of substance which might be critical of Obama, thus keeping Americans ignorant of the vast majority of Obama's disastrous agenda.

Obama's Executive Order regarding Mental Health and Gun Control

On January 16, 2013, Obama signed 23 Executive Orders pertaining to gun control. At least 7 of these orders directly relate to Mental Health and Guns. The Executive Orders, as they were released, are very simple, one sentence descriptions. This affords an incredibly broad interpretation which establishes potential for some very real and serious unintended consequences. Namely, your Constitutionally protected right to Keep and Bear Arms and the inability of those who need care to feel safe enough to obtain it..

Any reasonable person would agree that we, as a society, do not want guns in the hands of those adjudicated mentally defective by a Judge or the seriously mentally ill who's past or present behavior indicates they pose a real threat to safety. Let's look deeper into the meaning, implementation and potential consequences of these various orders.

EXECUTIVE ORDERS:

2. Address legal restrictions related to states sharing date under Health Insurance Portability Act (HIPA). Opinion: Contributes towards centralized health care database that will be used to authorize gun purchases. In an era where we find it difficult to even become informed about medical conditions with spouses and children, this would now afford the Government the ability access health records about you that even your closest family members can't. This establishes a dangerous presidence that sets up opportunity for abuse and invasions of privacy.

4. Direct the attorney general to review categories of individuals prohibited from having a gun to make sure dangerous people are not slipping through the cracks. Opinion: Broadens the categories of people to be investigated, who may have their privacy unknowingly invaded without cause, resulting in their subsequent entry into a rapidly growing, Federally controlled system of databases that is without over site control.

16. Clarify that the Affordable Care Act does not prohibit doctors asking their patients about guns in their homes. Opinion: Clearly designed to identify Gun Owners for increased mental health scrutiny. Unfortunately, this leaves Patients/Gun Owners vulnerable to those who may view guns as a general threat to safety, regardless of your mental state or whose hands they're in. Asking this question about someone who's demonstrating violent or threatening tendencies is one thing, but simply asking the question without benefit of that condition has potential to unfairly and unjustly compromise a Patients Constitutionally protected Rights and reduces the confidence Patients have in being able to speak freely with the Doctors.

17. Release a letter to health care providers clarifying that no federal law prohibits them from reporting threats of violence to law enforcement authorities. Opinion: Health Care providers are already REQUIRED to make notification and take action if they believe any Patient poses a threat to self or others! This requirement is clearly explained as a matter of ethics to all new Patients. References to prosecution of Health Care Providers who fail by some standard to meet this requirement may very well lead to unjustified over reporting and again, restrict the free exchange of thoughts and feelings with Mental Health Professionals.

20. Release a letter to state health officials clarifying the scope of mental health services that Medicaid plans must cover. Opinion: Prima facie, I don't see a downside to this as it may help provide greater access to Mental Health Care. However, I am suspicious of this as Dr's should already know what's covered and not covered under various insurance plans. Without any additional details, it's difficult to reach a definitive conclusion on potential effects this may have.

21. Finalize regulations clarifying essential health benefits and parity requirements within ACA exchanges. Opinion: This ties Obama Care to this collectivist effort to use Mental Health as a justification for de facto gun control using the ACA as a vehicle for implementation.

22. Commit to finalizing mental health parity regulations. Opinion: Gun Owners voiced concerns on this back in June 2012. Obama Care would be used to flag potential gun owners and disqualify them from purchasing guns. “Centralizing these medical records will allow the FBI to troll a list of Americans for ailments such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) to deny them their gun rights, in the same way that the Veterans Administration has already denied more than 150,000 veterans their right to bear arms," said Dr. Larry Gelman of Northern Illinois Counseling Associates in Crystal Lake.

DISCUSSION:

It is estimated that we currently have approximately 110 Million Gun Owners in America. Approximately 26.2 percent of Americans ages 18 and older, about on in four adults, suffer from a diagnosable mental disorder in any given year. (1)

This would suggest that approximately 28.82 MILLION Gun Owners have some form of mental disorder in any given year.

The Pentagon has reported that Suicide Deaths exceed Combat Deaths, with 349 active-duty troops having killed themselves in 2012. This is up more than 15 percent from 2011 despite renewed efforts by the military to stem the suicide rate. How many troops have just been given a sentence, when they feel they can't get help without jeopardizing the very RIGHTS they fought to defend????

All told, 9,087,000 Military personnel served on active duty during the Vietnam War, with approximately 2,594,000 US Servicemen actually serving in Vietnam itself.

In the decade since the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, 2,333,972 American military personnel had been deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan or both, as of Aug. 30,2011. Of that total, 1,353,627 have since left the military and 711,986 have used VA health care between fiscal year 2002 and the third-quarter fiscal year 2011.

Simple math shows that nearly 5 Million Veterans have served in Combat zones from Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan. Of course, this does not include service in many other hot spots around the globe.

Currently, the Department of Veterans Affairs Estimates that PTSD occurs in the following percentages:

11-20% of Veterans that served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
10% of Desert Storm Veterans.
30% of Vietnam Veterans.

Based upon these percentages, that would mean there are approximately 778,200 Veterans from Vietnam suffering from PTSD, and an additional 350,000 from Iraq and Afghanistan.

This means that we have currently have approximately 1.1 Million Veterans suffering from PTSD.

(People who suffer from PTSD often suffer from nightmares, flashbacks, difficulty sleeping, and feeling emotionally numb. These symptoms can significantly impair a person's daily life.
PTSD is marked by clear physical and psychological symptoms. It often has symptoms like depression, substance abuse, problems of memory and cognition, and other physical and mental health problems. The disorder is also associated with difficulties in social or family life, including occupational instability, marital problems, family discord, and difficulties in parenting.)

^{My question is now very simple. How many of these Veterans and Gun Owners are now UNLIKELY to FEEL SAFE enough to SEEK HELP, IF they feel their 2nd Amendment Rights may be compromised in the process???}

How many of these Veterans and Gun Owners have we sentenced to a lifetime of torment and needless suffering because they don't feel SAFE seeking Mental Health Treatment? The President chose to ramrod his agenda down the throats of this Country without responsible consultation with Mental Health Professionals, just as he's shown the propensity to do with every other issue. This could have been prevented by presenting very clear and concise guidance defined within specific parameters. This would have reassured patients and allowed them to feel safe and confidential in their communication with their providers; who are ALREADY REQUIRED to take action and notify proper authorities IF an individual presents a threat to themselves or others.

How many Law Enforcement Officers, seeing the very worst in society on a daily basis, will also be prevented from getting help? After all, if you can't own a gun, it's kind of hard to be a policeman.

^{Since these Executive Orders were passed, I have had the opportunity to speak at some length with two Veterans recently discharged from Active Duty. One was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and the other from the U.S. Marine Corps. Being a Veteran myself, they were able to share with me that they've been struggling with issues related to PTSD. Both Veterans indicated that while they had considered going to Veterans Administration for help, but after careful thought, neither of them were now willing to go and potentially jeopardize their 2nd Amendment Rights.}

You do this at a time when Suicides in the Military are higher than combat deaths??? We, the American People, deserve better than this!}

Obama to Top Brass: Will you fire on American Citizens?

Dr. Jim Garrow, PhD, is a world renowned educator and human rights activist who was Nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2009. Dr Garrow is making a very serious accusation, one with potentially dire consequences. He alleges that Obama is asking Top Military Officers, "Will you fire on American Citizens if ordered to do so"?

Obama has stated over the last several weeks that he will act on Gun Control, if Congress fails to take the steps he feels are necessary. Does this mean he's considering taking action on his own, such as the forced confiscation of firearms, that would be in violation of the Constitution? Is he attempting to ascertain the military's position if he were to issue such an order?

Dr Garrow is making a very startling accusation. There are several points to consider. Dr Garrow is by all accounts a very well accomplished and credible man, not many have been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. On the other hand, he has not yet come forth with the identity of the Officer making this accusation. Without naming the accuser, I consider this suspect. If this is true, no doubt others would have been asked the very same question.

We will no doubt need additional corroborating evidence to know for sure, but just the fact this is being raised should be cause for concern.

Woman Arrested While Refusing Smart Meter

Is this what "Freedom" has come down to?......

The woman in this picture, along with numerous others, has been arrested for not allowing the utility company access to their property. The power company wants to install an electric smart meter at every home within their service area. These so called Smart Meters use radio frequencies to transmit usage data back to the power company.

Residents believe these meters pose a danger to their health because of the radio frequencies involved. This technology also has the potential to be exploited by others who would be able to monitor power consumption, in graph form, and thereby enable them to ascertain when the house is vacant, occupied, etc. They believe that poses an additional threat to their safety and security.

Wouldn't it simply make sense to charge an extra fee to have someone read their meter in lieu of the smart meter? Wouldn't that meet everyone's needs in this case, rather than lock up people who feel unsafe?

The first Officer in this video appears to be very reasonable and even compassionate.

The Second Officer tells the woman taking the video that she's not been "given permission" to record him -even though there are numerous court rulings that establish it is your legal right to record any happening that takes place within view of the public, where there is no reasonable expectation of privacy.

Conduct like this by Government only damages the faith of it's Citizens

Senator Feinstein unveils her assault on the 2nd Amendment!

Today, Diane Feinstein introduced a Bill that would Ban the Sale, Manufacture, Importation or Transfer of more than 157 different firearms, many of which are used for legitimate sporting purposes and competitive events....but make politicians exempt from it!

"Mrs. Feinstein's measure would exempt more than 2,200 types of hunting and sporting rifles; guns manually operated by bolt, pump, lever or slide action; and weapons used by government officials (read: politicans), law enforcement and retired law enforcement personnel." These people have some nerve...Disarm the honest citizens and keep themselves safe. When will American wake up and say ENOUGH is ENOUGH?!?!

Vice President Joe Biden is scheduled to begin his propaganda tour across the United States to sell the American people the poison fruit.

Here is a brief summary what this ban would require:

Ban any magazine with a capacity of more than 10 rounds
Require that any rifle or magazine owned by law abiding citizens be engraved with the date of manufacture. (impossible to ascertain in many cases)
Ban various types of firearm accessories.
Ban sporting semi-automatic shotguns that contains any of the following characteristics: Folding or telescoping stock, pistol grip, fixed magazine of more than 5 round capacity or a forward mounted grip.
Ban any Rifle or Handgun with a fixed magazine capable of holding more than 10 rounds.
Requires an undefined, so called "Safe Storage" requirement for gun owners.

The Bill would ensure that no rifle, handgun or shotgun contained within can be handed down to the next generation of your family, effectively ensuring that future generations do not have the ability to adequately defend themselves or their families during their times of greatest need.

The Second Amendment was not designed to protect "Duck Hunters," as Sen Feinstein suggested in her presentation on Capitol Hill. I for one don't need politicians, judges or attorneys to tell me what the 2nd Amendment means. Even Obama's own GAO warns that current spending is "unsustainable."

Obama and his administration is full of hypocrisy. Anyone with the most basic understanding of economics knows that our Country moves closer to insolvency each and every day. He's already increased taxes on everyone across the board, in spite of campaign pledges to the contrary, but has yet to take any steps to cut spending!

Here's what he said about this very same problem back in 2006.....

Now, even the Presidents own Government Account Office, a fact that seems to have gone almost unreported in the mainstream media, warns that we're on an unsustainable fiscal path. I'm not surprised given the fact that on average, everyday we're adding $3,699,744,466.56 dollars to the National Debt. This translated to an annual increase of $1,354,106,474,762.13 in new debt last year. Current estimates for 2013 are at best the same, if not worse. This means that every TAXPAYER in America is currently $145,877 dollars in debt!

Congressional Budget Office, and others—spending on federal health 
care programs will grow much more rapidly. GAO also prepares long-term 
federal fiscal simulations which continue to show debt rising as a 
share of GDP.

Are we being told the truth about Sandy Hook?

On April 4, 2009, three Pittsburgh Police Officers were killed. Here is a portion of the story printed by the New York Daily News, amongst many other media outlets:

"Richard Poplawski, 23, met officers at the doorway and shot two of them in the head immediately, Harper said. An officer who tried to help the two also was killed. Poplawski, armed with an assault rifle and two other guns, then held police at bay for four hours as the fallen officers were left bleeding nearby, their colleagues unable to reach them, according to police and witnesses. More than 100 rounds were fired by the elite police teams and Poplawski, Harper said."

This horrific crime was perpetrated against some very brave Officers who were doing nothing more than coming to the aid of those hey had sworn to protect and serve. Sadly, several of these fine Officers left behind small children. The Community did an incredible job coming together to support their families and honor their sacrifice. This was an almost incomprehensible loss to the the City of Pittsburgh, the Pittsburgh Police and most of all, the loved ones they left behind.

Within a few days of this horrific event, I received a phone call from a personal friend who works within local law enforcement. He explained to me that these three Officers were killed at close range with a SHOTGUN, not the "assault rifle" that the media continued to repeat hour after hour, day after day.

I decided to look into this further and began asking questions. After a period of time, I was able to locate both of the Federally Licensed Dealers who sold the guns used by the shooter. The owners of both stores reported to me that Agents from the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms had confirmed that the actual murder weapon was the shotgun and NOT the assault rifle that was reported to have been present on the scene. To this day even some members of law enforcement, and the vast majority of the public believe they were killed with an "assault weapon." This is blatantly false.

Let's fast forward to the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary......

Within hours of this tragedy, LT Paul Vance of the Connecticut State Police stated that two handguns were found at the crime scene, in the school near the shooter, and that an AR-15 rifle was found in the trunk of a car believed to have been driven to the scene by the shooter, Adam Lanza. This briefing by LT Vance was given in the early afternoon of December 14, 2012 and I heard it with my own ears. I have been unable to find a video clip of this live interview anywhere on the internet, for whatever reason. Later, multiple media sources also reported that that the AR15 was found in the trunk of the car and was reportedly verified by multiple sources.

Here is a video that asks many questions. I think it's important to note that during a rapidly developing situation like this, the "fog of war" is often responsible for a lot of misinformation, etc., and not intentional misrepresentation. This is a very well known phenomena.

In the big picture, what I have learned is this. The media as a whole is driven not only by their desire to increase viewership, but to further the personal agendas of those who typically lean to the far left of the political center. Sensationalizing stories and reporting unconfirmed information increases viewership, which translates directly to increased revenue through advertising. What is reported has little to do with FACT, A LOT to do with conjecture, making money and for some, hood winking the American people into thinking their Kool-Aid is not only good, but safe to drink..

Veteran Stands up for the 2nd Amendment at Chicago Anti-Gun forum

On January 20, 2013, the New Trier Democrats held a "Guns and Public Safety Forum" in Chicago. A veteran rose to address speakers and defend both the First and Second Amendments.

Here's a short transcript of the exchange, the video is below:

Veteran: Sir, sir. While you’re standing up. I’ve sat here [inaudible] and I’d like to agree with the professor. Everyone standing in this room right now, especially the veterans in the room right now, know, that we are all Americans. The problem with this country right now is it’s us and it’s f***ing them. We need to stop this crap.
Now, the thing I would like you to answer, sir. And I did go to war for this country. Whether it was for everyone in here’s ability to have oil and gas in their cars, or the banks, or whatever. I went to war for my country.
And I went to war for your ability to have the First Amendment, to say what you stood up there and said today, to write what you want to write in your newspaper, and have whatever opinion you want to have. You can practice whatever religious freedoms you want. I would like you to answer the question, since you just said that one of the rights that I went to war over to defend, that is inalienable, to every American citizen. If this discussion was going on, about your First Amendment rights, would you still have the same opinion that we don’t need that any more either.
Goodman: You didn’t hear my answer….that’s not what I said…I said it doesn’t matter what their reasons are, what matters is whether or not it’s relevant today.
Audience member: It’s an eternal truth, an eternal truth….
Goodman: When they consider any part of the Constitution, any law, they’re going to say, “what does it mean today?”

If the stated goal of the current Administration is to really save lives and make us safer, consider this, handguns are clearly responsible for the highest proportion of gun related homicides:

Of all the homicides committed in the United States, for which the FBI received weapons data, 67.5 percent involved the use of firearms. Of the firearms used in these homicides, Handguns were used in 68.5 percent of these cases, as of 2010. Source: fbi.gov

IF one takes repeatedly stated goals at face value, which is to save lives and reduce violence, then make no mistake, handguns will be next and the rest will be sure to follow. Any other course of action would be in-congruent to their stated goal.

Don't sit back and let your rights be TAKEN from you!
