Senator Feinstein unveils her assault on the 2nd Amendment!

Today, Diane Feinstein introduced a Bill that would Ban the Sale, Manufacture, Importation or Transfer of more than 157 different firearms, many of which are used for legitimate sporting purposes and competitive events....but make politicians exempt from it!

"Mrs. Feinstein's measure would exempt more than 2,200 types of hunting and sporting rifles; guns manually operated by bolt, pump, lever or slide action; and weapons used by government officials (read: politicans), law enforcement and retired law enforcement personnel."  These people have some nerve...Disarm the honest citizens and keep themselves safe.  When will American wake up and say ENOUGH is ENOUGH?!?!

Vice President Joe Biden is scheduled to begin his propaganda tour across the United States to sell the American people the poison fruit.

Here is a brief summary what this ban would require:

Ban any magazine with a capacity of more than 10 rounds
Require that any rifle or magazine owned by law abiding citizens be engraved with the date of manufacture. (impossible to ascertain in many cases)
Ban various types of firearm accessories.
Ban sporting semi-automatic shotguns that contains any of the following characteristics:  Folding or telescoping stock, pistol grip, fixed magazine of more than 5 round capacity or a forward mounted grip.
Ban any Rifle or Handgun with a fixed magazine capable of holding more than 10 rounds.
Requires an undefined, so called "Safe Storage" requirement for gun owners.

The Bill would ensure that no rifle, handgun or shotgun contained within can be handed down to the next generation of your family, effectively ensuring that future generations do not have the ability to adequately defend themselves or their families during their times of greatest need.

The Second Amendment was not designed to protect "Duck Hunters," as Sen Feinstein suggested in her presentation on Capitol Hill.  I for one don't need politicians, judges or attorneys to tell me what the 2nd Amendment means.  The best way to understand the Second Amendment is to know what the FOUNDING FATHERS SAID and here are some DIRECT QUOTES:

Quotes on the Second Amendment

The Founding Fathers on the Second Amendment

"I ask, Sir, what is the militia? It is the whole people. To disarm the people is the best and most effectual way to enslave them."
George Mason
Co-author of the Second Amendment
during Virginia's Convention to Ratify the Constitution, 1788

"A militia, when properly formed, are in fact the people themselves …"
Richard Henry Lee
writing in Letters from the Federal Farmer to the Republic, Letter XVIII, May, 1788.

"The people are not to be disarmed of their weapons. They are left in full posession of them."
Zachariah Johnson
Elliot's Debates, vol. 3 "The Debates in the Several State Conventions on the Adoption of the Federal Constitution."

"… the people are confirmed by the next article in their right to keep and bear their private arms"
Philadelphia Federal Gazette
June 18, 1789, Pg. 2, Col. 2
Article on the Bill of Rights

"And that the said Constitution be never construed to authorize Congress to infringe the just liberty of the Press, or the rights of Conscience; or to prevent the people of the United States, who are peaceable citizens, from keeping their own arms; …"
Samuel Adams
quoted in the Philadelphia Independent Gazetteer, August 20, 1789, "Propositions submitted to the Convention of this State"

The Founding Fathers on Arms

"Firearms stand next in importance to the constitution itself. They are the American people's liberty teeth and keystone under independence … from the hour the Pilgrims landed to the present day, events, occurences and tendencies prove that to ensure peace security and happiness, the rifle and pistol are equally indispensable … the very atmosphere of firearms anywhere restrains evil interference — they deserve a place of honor with all that's good."
George Washington
First President of the United States

"The supposed quietude of a good man allures the ruffian; while on the other hand arms, like laws, discourage and keep the invader and plunderer in awe, and preserve order in the world as property. The same balance would be preserved were all the world destitute of arms, for all would be alike; but since some will not, others dare not lay them aside … Horrid mischief would ensue were the law-abiding deprived of the use of them."
Thomas Paine

"To preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of the people always possess arms and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them."
Richard Henry Lee
American Statesman, 1788

"The great object is that every man be armed." and "Everyone who is able may have a gun."
Patrick Henry
American Patriot

"Are we at last brought to such humiliating and debasing degradation, that we cannot be trusted with arms for our defense? Where is the difference between having our arms in possession and under our direction and having them under the management of Congress? If our defense be the real object of having those arms, in whose hands can they be trusted with more propriety, or equal safety to us, as in our own hands?"
Patrick Henry
American Patriot

"Those who hammer their guns into plowshares will plow for those who do not."
Thomas Jefferson
Third President of the United States

"The constitutions of most of our States assert that all power is inherent in the people; that … it is their right and duty to be at all times armed; … "
Thomas Jefferson
letter to Justice John Cartwright, June 5, 1824. ME 16:45.

"The best we can help for concerning the people at large is that they be properly armed."
Alexander Hamilton
The Federalist Papers at 184-8

The Founding Fathers on Maintaining Freedom

"The greatest danger to American freedom is a government that ignores the Constitution."
Thomas Jefferson
Third President of the United States

"There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. They promise to be good masters, but they mean to be masters. "
Noah Webster
American Lexicographer

"The people never give up their liberties but under some delusion."
Edmund Burke
British Statesman, 1784

"What country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance. Let them take arms."
Thomas Jefferson
to James Madison

"They that give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."
Ben Franklin
American Statesman

Here's what ONE BRAVE PATRIOT HAD TO SAY ON THIS ISSUE.....

_____________________________________________________________________
God Bless Sheriff Tim Mueller and other Patriots like him!  He has my deepest respect.   This land is too full of mealy mouthed politicians and politically correct liberals who don't have the guts or the backbone to stand up and FIGHT for what is RIGHT in America.  These are the same people who have armed guards to protect them, but expect you to call 911 when seconds count and the Police are only minutes or hours away.

Remember what Edmund Burke Said, "The people never give up their liberties but under some delusion" and finally, the words of Benjamin Franklin, "They that give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."

"When governments fear the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny.  The strongest reason for the people to retain the Right to Keep and Bear Arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government."  Thomas Jefferson

The potential for tyranny exists today just as much as it did hundreds of years ago.  The nature of man has not changed and never will!  Need an example?  Germany, China, Italy, Soviet Union, Cambodia, Japan, Uganda, Spain and more than 6 Million Jews.

The Second Amendment underpins and GUARANTEES ALL OTHER CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS.

Make no Mistake - The real goal of the left is to DISARM the American People.  There are dozens of Gun Control Bills currently being drafted by traitorous politicians.  Many are stating this is a good "FIRST STEP."  The question then begs, "What is their next step"?..........!

Do you think this offers any indication?
"Our main agenda is to have all guns banned. We must use whatever means possible. It doesn't matter if you have to distort the facts or even lie. Our task of creating a socialist America can only succeed when those who would resist us have been totally disarmed."
Sara Brady
Chairman, Handgun Control Inc, to Senator Howard Metzenbaum
The National Educator, January 1994, Page 3.

"If you wish the sympathy of the broad masses, you must tell them the crudest and most stupid things." .... "This year will go down in history. For the first time, a civilized nation has full gun registration. Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient, and the world will follow our lead into the future!"
Adolph Hitler
Chancellor, Germany, 1933

Let's look at what happened when Australia banned all firearms, the liberal utopia...

I for one took an Oath to Support and Defend the Constitution of the United States and that Oath had no expiration date.  I wore this uniform for far too many years to sit back and watch our Liberty be taken from us.  The American People need to wake up before it's too late!  Never quit, Never Surrender and stand up for AMERICAN LIBERTY and FREEDOM.

OR THIS WILL BE THE END RESULT.........
One Nation, without God, With Liberty and Justice for no one

"The greatest danger to American freedom is a government that ignores the Constitution."
Thomas Jefferson
Third President of the United States

Ed Schultz Sees Dead People, "We are the Founding Fathers of this Country Now"

Posted by Brian

The only thing lower than Ed Schultz' ratings are his views of the Founders and the Constitution. The porcine pundit who once referred to Laura Ingraham as a "right-wing talk slut", and claimed that "Republicans want to see you dead", sees our nation's Founders as just a bunch of "dead guys" claiming "we are the founding fathers of the country now".
Does this mental defect know that to be a "founder" you have to be at the founding of something?  It's dubious that this vat of fat with the I.Q. of a wharf rat could make that kind of connection, though. So, probably not.

Founding Fathers Just 'Some Dead People' Spews Ed Schultz in Anti-Second Amendment Rant

Remember how liberals feigned reverence for the Constitution during its alleged wholesale destruction while George W. Bush was president? With a Democrat ensconsed in the White House, they are reverting to old habits when it comes to the blueprint for our republic.

On his radio show Friday, Schultz argued with a caller who said he usually agrees with Schultz, citing "socialized medicine" and higher taxes as examples of common ground they share. But the Second Amendment must be protected, the caller said, lest changes to it erode other freedoms enumerated in the Bill of Rights (Audio).

Austin Prof: Thanksgiving A "White Supremacist" Feast, Founders Like "Nazi's"

Posted by Brian
h/t to CNS News

Professor Robert Jenson
photo @ Jason Cato
What is it about these leftist academe's, that they are so angry and wracked with "white guilt" over virtually everything celebrated in the United States?
Whether it's Thanksgiving,  Christmas, President's Day, or Independence Day, it is assured that one of these pointy headed intellectuals is going to crawl out from whatever liberal hellhole they have been marinating in to speak of the "inherent racism" of the country. To them, virtually everything about this country is racist.  Not lost in all of this is the fact that it is men and women like this who we send our young people off to, to be "educated".
Even after electing a black man to the Presidency, not once, but twice, the left continues to pound the drums of racism.  Not only is the country and it's first citizens all racists, as are all of our founding documents, but by virtue of DNA we are still racists to this day.
The question I have is this:  IF, as this guy, the University of Austin's Robert Jensen, and so many others of the lefts' illuminati seem to believe, this country is so unbearably racist, why do they continue to stay here?  Why not move to, and become residents of, one of these so-called "tolerant" societies? Certainly, there must be literally dozens to choose from. The reason is because, contrary to these idiots' claims, the United States is the most tolerant, diverse country on the planet.  For now.
Most people in this country want to just live their lives, have the opportunity to make an honest living , spend time with their family and friends, and really don't care, or even think much, about race/sexual preference/so-called income inequality/climate change, etc.  It is the leftist ne'er-do-well's who obsess on this stuff.  If it's hot, we turn on a fan, or the A/C, drink some lemonade, and deal with it. We don't automatically go: "Wow! The global warming is really kicking in today.  I better not drive call Fred to see if he wants to car-pool in so we can lower our carbon footprint."  We also don't think about whether our neighbor makes more than we do, not do we despise him if he does. It is motivation to do better. OR, we may be satisfied with where we are. Happy that we don't have to put in the longer hours he or she does to maintain the bigger house and newer car.
Guys like this Professor Jensen are not the super-intellectual beings that they perceive themselves to be. In fact, they are small-minded, unhappy little plebes, wishing to rid themselves of their own guilt and pathetic self-image by inviting us to share in their misery.
Thanks, but no thanks.

Thanksgiving Celebrates Our 'Original Sin,' 'Views Virtually Identical To Nazis,' Journalism Prof Preaches
By Dan Gainor November 22, 2012

Forget all that turkey, stuffing and pumpkin pie, today should be a day of fasting and atonement for American “sin.” That’s according to Robert Jensen, a journalism professor at the University of Texas at Austin. Jensen, known for his hard-left politics, also calls Thanksgiving a “white-supremacist holiday.”

Jensen’s opinion piece “No Thanks for Thanksgiving,” appeared on the far-left, Soros-connected website Alternet on Thanksgiving eve. In it, he wrote how Native Americans suffered because of the “European invasion of the Americas.” He went on to compare the Founding Fathers to Nazi Germany. “How does a country deal with the fact that some of its most revered historical figures had certain moral values and political views virtually identical to Nazis?” he asked.

Obama Provides Clarity - His Destruction Of The Economy Is Intentional

Posted by Brian
(A Democracy) can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship.
Alexis de Tocqueville
Does the previous statement sound familiar in the context of what we see going on in government today? Does it make you concerned? Good.  It should.
With one sentence, Barack Hussein Obama provided all the clarity we need to understand that he is totally unconcerned with driving the U.S. economy over the edge of the fiscal cliff.  For those who have been paying attention to what he has been saying for the last three and a half years it does not come as a big surprise.  This simply fits into everything else he has said about "fundamentally changing this country".  He has a deep-seated hatred for the Founders, the Constitution, and everything that this country stands for.  He does not see the success of this experiment we call democracy, which has in a little over 200 years become the most successful country in human history, as something that needs to be admired, but as something to be despised.  He sees the troubles around the world as our fault.  Instead of recognizing the most of the misery around the world is in countries run by despots, he sees American exceptionalism as something negative. His worldview is such that he can't see past his own Marxist ideology that America is exceptional because of the wisdom of the Founders.  A country and government ruled by its citizens ( until recently), who are given the freedom and  liberty to succeed, or fail, based on their own self-determination and self-interest.
The end result of his hatred is to tear the system down to its foundation (fundamentally change) through turmoil - economic, class-warfare, and societal instability.
Eighteen more months of Barack Obama at the helm will, at minimum, leave the country teetering on the edge of financial collapse. A re-election of Obama will see the United States with a Hugo Chavez-style dictatorship before the end of his second term.

Obama: ‘We Don’t Need a Balanced Budget Amendment

Monday, July 18, 2011
By Fred Lucas

Washington (CNSNews.com) – President Barack Obama says America does not need a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution, and he once again blamed much of the fiscal problem on Bush-era tax cuts.

“We don’t need a constitutional amendment to do our jobs,” Obama told reporters at his Friday news conference. “The Constitution already tells us to do our jobs -- and to make sure that the government is living within its means and making responsible choices.”

Thomas Jefferson: John Adams Is A Hermaphrodite

Political commentator Glenn Beck at the Time 1...Image via Wikipedia

Keep Political Discourse In The Context Of History
h/t to NewBusters

Glenn Beck, on the Today Show with Meredith Vierra, debunks the charge that heated or violent political rhetoric contributed to the shooting in Tuscon - it was caused by the individual who committed the crime.
http://www.eyeblast.tv/public/checker.aspx?v=hd6UaGeuZu

In a beautiful exchange, he points out that Thomas Jefferson called John Adams a "hermaphrodite", and that Adams responded by telling people that "their children would be raped and their towns burned" if Jefferson became President. Of course, none of this happened.  It was in the context of very graphic political discourse during a campaign.  Today I hear, from the media mostly, that the political rhetoric has never been worse.  Based on the exchange between Jefferson and Adams, they might want to rethink that.

Roadmap For Our Future: A Return To Constitutional Government

Great article from the American Thinker.

Why Constitutional Conservatism Is Ascending
By Mark J. Fitzgibbons

If 2009 was the year of birth of the Tea Party movement, 2010 was the year of ascendancy of constitutional conservatism. In many ways, the movements are the same -- except, perhaps, that the Tea Party is a movement of political activism by people who weren't traditionally activists, and constitutional conservatism represents an awakening about the way back to American exceptionalism.

For conservatives to emphasize constitutionalism is nothing new. The greater emphasis, however, is a bit of branding that helps distinguish them from establishment Republicans who stole the brand "conservative," or those whose policies are constitutionally limited only some of the time.

You know constitutional conservatism is on the right track when the liberal literati (Lincoln Caplan) and dimwiterati (Randi Rhodes) criticize it.

Where Exactly in The Constitution Is Congress Granted Power to ...

Resolution to be introduced demanding all legislation cite Constitutional authorization
By Caroline May - The Daily Caller

New Jersey Republican Rep. Scott Garrett plans to introduce a resolution in the House of Representatives Tuesday that would require all legislation to cite an enumerated power in the Constitution that grants authority for the bill’s mandate.

Garrett, founder and chairman of the House Constitution Caucus, told The Daily Caller that the resolution is the direct result of the American people’s expressed desire for Congress to return to its Constitutional roots.

“This bill grows out of ‘The Pledge with America,’ going across the country prior to the campaign and hearing what was important to the American public and what they have told us is that we need to — as they and we put it — restore the preeminence of the Constitution in law-making and we do that by, as the rule would say, passing a non-waivable rule that would require every bill and amendment to have a citation of the specific authority in the Constitution.”

Obamas Nominee For ATF Head Supports Gun Bans

Does Obama’s nominee for head of Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives oppose the Second Amendment?
By Amanda Carey - The Daily Caller Published: 12:21 PM 12/03/2010 Updated: 2:33 PM 12/03/2010

Things had been looking up for gun-rights activists. In 2008, the Supreme Court ruled in D.C. v. Heller that Washington’s handgun laws were unconstitutional. In the summer of 2010, in McDonald v Chicago, the court expanded that ruling to apply to handgun laws in all 50 states.

Even President Obama seemed relatively open to Second Amendment rights, saying on the campaign trail: “I believe there is a Second Amendment right. I think it is an individual right. I think people have the right to lawfully bear arms.”

Now, it seems that when it comes to Obama and guns, he was for them before he was against them.

Last month, the president nominated Andrew Traver to be the new director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE). But while gun-control advocates are lauding Obama’s nominee, others are worried Traver will implement strict gun rules by way of bureaucratic regulations rather than law.

Tea Party Express to Washington - Don't Stand In Front of This Train!

Has Washington Learned Its Lesson?
by Brian Johnson   November 4, 2010
Brian's Right Perspective

"... if the Republicans go back to old form, they’ll suffer the election consequences Democrats are suffering right now.”

The war is not over.  Tuesday night was just the first battle. Do not for a minute think that the established GOP leadership is going to roll over without a fight.  However, these same people should be forewarned that this is not a single election movement.  This is a sustained movement that is going to hold both the old guard (McCain, Boehner, Graham, etc...), and the new guards feet to the fire.  The People are awake, and we are watching.

If the Republicans go back to the same old massive spending of 2001 - 2006, 2012 is going to be super tsunami year.  We are not looking for Democrat-lite.

There are going to be tough decisions, especially in social programs (welfare, food stamps, etc...).

The GOP is going to have to be articulate in debunking the false notion that tax cuts increase the deficit.  They need to illustrate that in the first year (or short-term), there will be budget shortfalls in tax revenue, but in the out years revenue to the federal government will increase due to the jump-start in new businesses, greater employment, reinvestment and expansion of existing businesses and so on.  The key though is to both cut taxes AND cut spending simultaneously.

In addition, there needs to be a weakening of the unions (SEIU, AFL-CIO, NEA, etc...) which are holding states and businesses hostage with unsustainable collective bargaining agreements, draining the treasuries of those states, and bankrupting business and taxpayers.

Who is going to be the person to lead the charge?  It's too early to say, but one thing is for sure - don't be one of those who stands in the way of the train that's heading for Washington D.C.  You will get run over.

Lindsey Graham: Standing in the Way of Victory

GOP Moderates Still Don't Get It.
by Brian Johnson  November 4, 2010
Brian's Right Perspective

There is much talk of a civil war brewing inside the ranks of the Republican Party.  Lindsey Graham, who never met an unprincipled compromise he didn't like, complained in Politico that the GOP "left a few on the table" Tuesday night when the GOP failed to take the Senate.  He, and others are blaming the Tea Party for,  what in his pea-sized brain, was a poor showing. We need more "moderate" candidates.  I assume he means like John McCain, Bob Dole, and Gerald Ford.  Yeah, those worked out real well.
The GOP gained 63(!) House seats, possibly 8 Senate Seats, and gained numerous Governors.  Republicans now have majority control of Governor's mansions.  This is significant in that those Governors will oversee redistricting in those states in a year.

But, Lindsey Graham, Karl Rove, Trent Lott, and some GOP strategist named Julie Wadler, are going after Jim Demint and the Tea Party. Jim DeMint was the first to identify and get behind Marco Rubio in Florida. Not only did Rubio win going away, he did it with a solidly conservative message of smaller constitutional government, lower taxes, personal responsibility, and fiscal responsibility.  So controversial.  So much so, that the Florida voters elected him overwhelmingly over former governor Charlie Crist, who when faced with defeat in the primary, dropped out and ran as an independent.  Real Party loyalty there Crist.  Crist who changed his mind on positions more than Eliot Spitzer.  And yet, it was Lindsey Graham and John McCain who came out and endorsed Crist early on.
Want more party loyalty.  How about the "Gang of 14" with Lindsey Graham, McCain, and the other usual suspects, undermining then-Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist and the Party leadership on everything from immigration to judicial nominees, including blocking a Constitutionally sound Miguel Estrada from the D.C. Court of Appeals, which was seen by the Democrats as a stepping stone to the Supreme Court.  The Dems couldn't allow the GOP to place the first Latino on the Court as this might hurt their standing with Latino voters.  So Graham, and the rest of these pieces of human debris, ensured that he would be blocked (and smeared in the process).  Instead we get Sonja Sotamayor, a true intellectual lightweight (by her own law school colleagues admission) as the first Latina Supreme Court Justice.  Real "teamwork" by the moderate statists in the GOP.

If there were any seats "left on the table", which is pure conjecture to stir up controversy, maybe it was because we have guys like Karl Rove going out and savaging Christine O'Donnell the night of her primary victory on the Sean Hannity show.  He wanted Mike Castle, the neo-statist, to run against the bearded Marxist,  Chris Coons.  This was a race that could have been won, against a candidate that admittedly has Marxist leanings, if the elite GOP establishment, and Rove in particular, hadn't shot the horse before it got out of the gate!
There were other winnable races around the country which the GOP establishment abandoned or underfunded because they weren't the "right kind of candidates".  In other words, they were conservative. Trent Lott said, “We did not nominate our strongest candidates.”  What he meant to say was, "the voters were to stupid to know who to vote for."

There is going to be a war in the Republican Party.  I welcome it.  The Graham's, McCain's, Murkowski's, Snowe's, Collins', and others need to be defeated and sent packing in upcoming elections. They need to be taken out in the Primaries, and replaced with candidates who are grounded in the Constitution, and who can articulate that message.  Chris Christie ran as an unabashed conservative in New Jersey, a dark blue state, and won handily, shocking(!), I'm sure, the moderates.

A political war in the GOP? You betcha!  Fix your bayonets!

What the Founders Thought of a Powerful Central Government

An Excellent piece by Bill Whittle of Pajamas Media, one of my favorite places to go for reasoned debate and insight, on what the Founding Fathers would make of the Tea Party. Read and Enjoy!

REASONABLE MEN

April 13, 2010 - by Bill Whittle

There is a concerted effort afoot on the part of big-state socialists to paint the Tea Party as a bunch of dangerous, hate-filled radicals with a bunch of crazy new ideas that go far beyond the pale of the traditional American political mainstream.

Let’s ask some reasonable men – because the Founding Fathers were surely the largest collection of reasonable men ever gathered in one place at one time in history – what they thought about the issues raised by the Tea Party movement.

For instance, what did they think of a powerful central government?
