New Trier, Ill - Northeastern Cook County, Chicago suburb
Tired of hearing lies, half-truths, and being referred to as Nazi's and Chihuahua's, a man identifying himself as a veteran stood up and educated a group of snide, elitest Chicago Democrats drawing cheers and shout of approval from the crowd who had shown up to forum billing itself as a "space for real conversation", only to be told to "shush" time and again.
Don't take my word for it. Watch the video. Pay attention especially to the guy at the 15 second mark, who addresses the room in a tone of voice normally reserved for a 2-year-old. This is the voice of the elitest who views himself as intellectually superior to those around him, and is disgusted to even be in the same room to people he views as lower than primordial sludge, and thus addresses them with a voice that drips with contempt.
This was not a forum to have a "real conversation", as advertised. This was a lecture, put on by leftists, to allow them to tell everyone HOW things should be, and how they are going to be. Unfortunately for them, a US military veteran, along with a whole bunch of pro-Second Amendment, pro-Constitution people showed up and told them how things are.
Remember. There are a whole lot more people like this veteran, who love our Country and our Constitution, than the media and the leftists want you to believe.

Sen. FrankenFeinstein Already Calling For New Gun Control Laws Only Hours After DC Shooting
Posted by Brian
Three days ago, Dianne Feinstein wanted to be the arbiter on who she feels is and isn't a reporter, and thus protected by the first amendment. A month ago, she defended NSA spying on American citizens. Now, the reptilian Feinstein again crawls out from under her rock, wanting to limit 2nd Amendment rights for ordinary Americans. Is there anything in the Bill of Rights that she does support for average Americans?
Molon Labe Senator! Molon Labe!
Feinstein calls for new gun control laws again after Navy Yard shooting
6:19 PM 09/16/2013
California Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein is renewing her call for new gun-control laws because of Monday’s deadly Navy Yard shooting. “When will enough be enough?” Feinstein said in a statement Monday evening.
“Congress must stop shirking its responsibility and resume a thoughtful debate on gun violence in this country,” she said. “We must do more to stop this endless loss of life.”

Ehhhh!! 'The Fonz' Jumps the Shark Again! Pushes For Gun Control as DC Shootings Still in Progress!!
Posted by Brian
Henry 'The Fonz' Winkler is apparently an acolyte of Rahm Emmanual and his "never let a crisis go to waste" philosophy, as he tweeted out his pro-gun control thoughts while some of the victims were still bleeding out.
Henry Winkler, whose Happy Day's character 'Fonzie' was arguably the coolest guy in America for a few years until the famous "jump the shark" episode, couldn't wait for the facts to come out before weighing in. That he weighed in is not a shock. It was only a matter of time before some Hollywood leftist would. What is shocking is that it appears he beat Michael Moore to the punch. As of this writing, Moore is still hung up on Syria and Larry Summers removing himself from the FED job.
Winkler isn't as prolific in his bashing of pro-Second Amendment folks as the faux conservative David Frum, who took to Twitter with the following:
Hey! Frum's entitled to his opinion but don't, as The Blaze did, call him a conservative commentator. Even Frum has had to admit that his views no longer align with conservatism on everything from healthcare reform, monetary policy, social spending to aid the unemployed, man-made global warming, and as everyone can see, that pesky old Second Amendment.
What's truly sick is that these ghouls don't have the decency to wait until all the facts are in before turning these types of things into political hot potatoes. You won't find Frum, Winkler or their ilk, of objectively looking at the numerous killings of young blacks in Washington D.C. or Chicago, and the tough gun control laws they have there which prevent law-abiding citizens the ability to protect themselves in those cities.
Nor will the subject of allowing trained and licensed people to used concealed carry weapons on military and government installations. I guarantee you, if our trained men and women of the military were allowed to carry their own personal firearms legally on base, incidents like today, or the Fort Hood shooting either wouldn't occur, or the carnage would be much less if these sicko's knew that nearly everyone on the base was armed..
That would make too much sense.

Obama Shamelessly Using Trayvon Martin To Rekindle Gun Control Debate
Posted by Brian
If this weren't so infuriating, it would be absolutely laughable.
The President of the United States unexpectedly enters the White House Press briefing room to give an impromptu statement on the Trayvon Martin verdict.
Really?
With everything else facing the country (the economy, unemployment, the IRS, illegal, immigration, Syria, Benghazi, Fast & Furious) , this is what the President feels he needs to weigh-in on? The need to put in his two cents on a made-for-Oprah trial that, arguably, should have never been brought before a jury? Way to focus like a laser on the important issues!
Note: To give credit where credit is due, Obama did make his remarks without the aid of a telepromptor. Unfortunately for him (and for us), he comes off as tired, and someone who does not have a grasp of all the facts about which he speaks, rather than the leader of the Free World.
Obama starts out by mentioning the family of Trayvon Martin:
I have no issue with this, in that I also have respect for the feeling and emotions of the Martin family, and what they must be going through. I cannot imagine, as a father, losing one of my children, whatever the cause. It would be devastating.
It is notable, however, that Obama never mentions, not even once, the family of George Zimmerman, and the ordeal they have endured, also with grace and class, during the course of the investigation and trial, as well as dealing with death threats and threats of violence, which they continue to deal with to this day. Apparently, Obama's well of compassion only runs so deep.
Obama then goes on to essentially give a wink and a nod to all of the protestors and agitators, saying:
Well, why doesn't it go away, genius? Could it be that race-baiters like you, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are constantly telling the black community that racism is still the same problem that it was 50, 75, 100 or 150 years ago? That blacks are still in a state of slavery, and that the deck is stacked against them. Hell, they might as well be living in pre-Civil War America! Or maybe it is because we have the so-called civil rights leader, Jesse Jackson is doing interviews saying that Florida is "an apartheid state"? Martin Luther King must be rolling in his grave at the way Jackson, his protege, has hijacked his message and completely bastardized it.
The comment that Trayvon "could have been me 35 years ago", is just Obama (once-again) shamelessly inserting himself into the mix. It's always about Obama. Even when it isn't, its about him.
My question for Barack Obama is this: Which you of 35 years ago are you talking about? It is the Barack Obama of the "Choom Gang", or is it the budding Marxist Obama sitting at the knee of your Communist mentor Frank Marshall Davis?
Mr. President, you claimed to be a "uniter", but you prove, everyday, to be nothing more than an agitator and divider, a role that your time as a community organizer trained you well for.
"Never let a crisis go to waste"
It is not until about 4 minutes into Obama's little "impromptu" remarks that we discover his real reason for his appearance, and it has nothing to do with Trayvon Martin, or this trial. It turns out they are merely the vehicle that Obama has chosen to use in order to rekindle an agenda item in which Obama suffered his first major defeat several months back - Gun Control.
Barack Obama has little interest in this, or any other "crisis", save for how he can use it to advance his socialist vision of America. Like the families of the Children in Newtown, Barack Obama is using the family of Trayvon Martin to gain sympathy for an agenda item in which he suffered a stinging rebuke from the American people. What was worse, it was a rebuke from those Americans which he really despises - the one "bitterly clinging to their guns and religion". Remember the press conference in which a visibly angry Barack Obama called the defeat "shameful", said that the NRA "willfully lied", and declared that Senate Republicans decided it "wasn't worth it" to protect the lives of children. Ouch!
Obama opened up his new salvo on gun control following a screed on racial profiling with this:
Do you notice what he does? He first acknowledges that the Florida "Stand Your Ground" law had nothing to do with the George Zimmerman case. Then, brushing it aside, he tells the press that we need to see if we are "sending a message" of unnecessary confrontations with firearms.
He further shows his ignorance of what Stand Your Ground is by concocting yet another one of his straw-men arguments, asking if Trayvon would have been justified in shooting Zimmerman under the law. The answer in both situations is no.
What Obama does not mention is that the Stand your Ground laws in Florida have benefitted the black population in the state, disproportionately, accounting for one-third of the total cases in which Stand your ground was used as a defense (with a 55% success rate), or double the percentage of blacks in the state.
Meanwhile, in Chicago, black teens and men are being killed by other black men and teens in epidemic numbers, in a city which boasts some of the toughest anti-gun laws in the country. Yet, Obama and the rest of the anti-gun proponents and race-baiters, rarely mention the entire generation of young people being murdered in Obama's adopted home town on a daily basis. It doesn't fit the racial narrative, and drawing attention to it certainly destroys their gun-control narrative.
The takeaway from all of this is that Obama doesn't really care about the pain and suffering of the Martin family, and sees their tragedy as his opportunity. He will feign compassion, using them, as he does all of the others, to help him.
Because, it's always about him.

First of all, you know, I -- I want to make sure that, once again, I send my thoughts and prayers, as well as Michelle’s, to the family of Trayvon Martin, and to remark on the incredible grace and dignity with which they’ve dealt with the entire situation. I can only imagine what they’re going through, and it’s -- it’s remarkable how they’ve handled it.
I have no issue with this, in that I also have respect for the feeling and emotions of the Martin family, and what they must be going through. I cannot imagine, as a father, losing one of my children, whatever the cause. It would be devastating.

Obama then goes on to essentially give a wink and a nod to all of the protestors and agitators, saying:
You know, when Trayvon Martin was first shot, I said that this could have been my son. Another way of saying that is Trayvon Martin could have been me 35 years ago. And when you think about why, in the African- American community at least, there’s a lot of pain around what happened here, I think it’s important to recognize that the African- American community is looking at this issue through a set of experiences and a history that -- that doesn’t go away.
Well, why doesn't it go away, genius? Could it be that race-baiters like you, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are constantly telling the black community that racism is still the same problem that it was 50, 75, 100 or 150 years ago? Obama opened up his new salvo on gun control following a screed on racial profiling with this:
Along the same lines, I think it would be useful for us to examine some state and local laws to see if it -- if they are designed in such a way that they may encourage the kinds of altercations and confrontations and tragedies that we saw in the Florida case, rather than diffuse potential altercations.
I know that there’s been commentary about the fact that the stand your ground laws in Florida were not used as a defense in the case.
On the other hand, if we’re sending a message as a society in our communities that someone who is armed potentially has the right to use those firearms even if there’s a way for them to exit from a situation, is that really going to be contributing to the kind of peace and security and order that we’d like to see?
And for those who resist that idea that we should think about something like these “stand your ground” laws, I just ask people to consider if Trayvon Martin was of age and armed, could he have stood his ground on that sidewalk? And do we actually think that he would have been justified in shooting Mr. Zimmerman, who had followed him in a car, because he felt threatened?
Do you notice what he does? He first acknowledges that the Florida "Stand Your Ground" law had nothing to do with the George Zimmerman case. Then, brushing it aside, he tells the press that we need to see if we are "sending a message" of unnecessary confrontations with firearms.

Chicago July 4th Weekend Shootings of Blacks Dwarf Sandy Hook, Media Uninterested
Posted by Brian
I don't celebrate this. It pisses me off. 74 people shot. 12 dead. Since Wednesday! Over 200 killed this year, or more than 1 per day. Yet the media are virtually silent, concentrating instead on a San Francisco plane crash that killed two people. Perhaps the fact that the vast majority of the Chicago victims are black has something to do with it.
In Newtown, Adam Lanza killed 26 people, including 20 children, and the media goes ballistic. The media also had a field day with the shootings in Aurora, CO, and at Columbine. The common theme among those shootings is that the victims were white.
The vast majority of the people dying on the streets of Chicago, Detroit, Washington, DC, and many other gun control meccas is that the victims are black or another minority. Plus, it's not white people killing blacks. It's black on black crime. This doesn't fit the media for a good story. Tip for the media: The story is not the race of the people being killed, or who's doing the killing. It's the horrendous numbers of people being killed as a direct result of strict gun control laws.
Chicago's (and New York's, Washington, DC, etc...) gun control laws, touted by politicians and so-called experts as a blueprint or the rest of the country, prove time and again that they do not make Chicagoan's safer, but actually make people targets for the criminal element who do have guns.
While Obama and the rest of the leftists in this country try to make it harder and harder for law-abiding citizens to get firearms and ammunition for their own protection, those cities where they have been successful with strict gun control laws look like shooting galleries for the criminals.
Meanwhile, in places where concealed carry is lawful, and law abiding citizens are able to own and obtain firearms easily, crime statistics plummet. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure out the connection.
We as citizens need to start pointing out the hypocrisy, and complicity, of the media in keeping Americans ignorant of the real statistics and deadly results of gun control laws.

Chicago Police, concealed weapons laws, Death, government, holiday weekend, illegal guns, injured, killed, murder, r.i.p., RIP, shot to death It never ends. Same sad story.
All this violence happened since Wednesday and through the holiday weekend. The government is working so hard with its concealed weapons laws right now and seem to be missing a big point. The ILLEGAL guns are killing the majority of people in out country.

Iraq Vet and law enforcement officer Aaron Weiss got in his two cents worth while addressing the Duchess County Legislature in New York. Impassioned and visibly moved, he makes a powerful case for the people's right to keep and bear arms, while illuminating the cowardice of those who would "stand on the bodies of dead children" to ram through legislation for the supposed "public good".
Aaron Weiss is a true patriot, and his words should be spread far and wide.

MUST WATCH! Black Leaders say Gun Control is Really "Black Control" [VIDEO]
Posted by Brian
A story completely ignored by the media (what a shock!).
On February 25th, a large group of African-American leaders held a press conference at the National Press Club, articulating their support for the 2nd Amendment and opposing gun control.
Addressing the history of gun control in the US, its role in slavery, and its current role in the deaths of young African-Americans.
Do yourself a favor and really take the time to watch this in its entirety, and then share on Facebook, Tweet, Google+, or e-mail. This should be seen by as many as possible!
Ken Blackwell, Star Parker, Ken Hutcherson (former NFL great, and Pastor of Antioch Baptist Church), Harry C. Alford (President & CEO National Black Chamber of Commerce), Kenn Blanchard (Marine Veteran, Pastor), Niger Innis.

NJ Senate Ejects Man In Middle Of Senate Testimony for Criticizing Gun Control

H/T Mr. Conservative
This is an OUTRAGE!
We have a 2nd Amendment to protect our 1st Amendment and all of our other rights as citizens of a free society.
The video below shows how quickly a tyrannical government official removes a man's 1st Amendment rights, simply for speaking out in favor of his 2nd Amendment rights, when that government official no longer fears the citizenry.
2nd Amendment Supporter Thrown Out of N.J. Meeting By Police After Criticizing Gun Control
Do you remember how, at least once a week during the Bush Administration, you’d hear some Progressive holler about the importance of “speaking truth to power?” They’d speak truth to power at massive rallies, where no one stopped them from speaking; they’d speak truth to power at university functions where they stole the microphone from (and sometimes assaulted) conservative speakers; they’d speak truth to power on TV, and in the movies, and in political meetings, and just about everywhere else they could think of. They were the free, the brave, and the Progressive squawking madly at conservatives who sat politely and listened.

"Confiscate, Confiscate, Confiscate" - Hot Mic Catches NJ Dems On Gun Control.
Posted by Brian
Apparently unaware that microphones were still on, several NJ lawmakers were caught saying what many of us have been saying all along, regarding the goal of gun control.
At the 0:19 sec mark of the audio, a person is heard to say what sounds like, "We needed a bill that was going to confiscate, confiscate, confiscate". A second person says, "They don't care about the bad guys. All they want to do is have their little guns and do whatever they want with them."
Pro-gun advocates angry over N.J. lawmakers' hot-mic comments
By Brent Johnson and Matt Friedman/The Star-Ledger
TRENTON — As a committee hearing on new gun-control legislation began winding down Thursday, three state senators started chatting amongst themselves.
What they didn't realize was the microphone was still on.
A recording of the exchange — which appears to be between Democrats Loretta Weinberg, Sandra Cunningham and Linda Greenstein — ended up on YouTube, and gun supporters said today they were upset by the remarks.
The recording opens with what sounds like a senator or staff member saying, "We needed a bill that was going to confiscate, confiscate, confiscate" — although it is not clear who is speaking or if this is what she is saying.

Prescription Meds: The Left's New Path to Gun Control?

(Connecticut's new gun legislation is expected to be even more prohibitive than New York's)
Now, before you say, "Yeah, we need to get the guns out of the hands of the mentally ill and those with mental issues!" Stick with me. We're not talking about people who have severe mental instability, schizophrenia, or have shown documented evidence to be a threat to themselves or others. We are talking of people who have merely been prescribed psychotropic drugs used to treat any number of things, including mental disorders. Sounds like a good thing, right? Well, under that sweeping definition, millions of Americans can be labeled as mentally unstable by a tyrannical government. Under "psychotropic" are the following drugs: Ambien (a sleep aid), Antabuse (to treat alcoholism), Cymbalta (anti-depressant),Elavil (anti-depressant), Prozac, Lunesta (sleep aid), Ritalin (to treat ADHD), Valium (anti-anxiety), Xanax(anti-anxiety), and Welbutrin (smoking cessation aid), just to name a few. (For a more comprehensive list, click here)
The opportunity for the statists in the government to run roughshod over the 2nd Amendment with this is staggering. I would venture that well over 50% of the population would qualify as mentally unstable by these standards. Add to those, with both federal and state governments calling for universal gun registration to identify every legally owned gun in the country, the prospect that they would confiscate firearms from you even because a family member in you house currently is prescribed, or had ever been prescribed, drugs for anxiety or depression (mild or otherwise). It would give a tyrannical government the authority to confiscate 99% of the legal firearms from the people. Of course, the criminals would still be armed to the teeth, as I don't expect they will be rushing down to their local sheriff's office to register their weapons.
The left is on the march, and our 2nd Amendment rights have never been in more danger of being taken away. Anyone who has the smallest interest in protecting their 2nd Amendment Rights need to speak up NOW, and get involved at ALL levels of government, as well as anyone within their circle of influence. You have not been silenced yet, unless you refuse to speak up!
Psychotropic Drugs: An Anti-gun Statists Wet Dream!
Anti-gun hysteria has reached a fever pitch among lawmakers across the country, at both the state and federal level. Legislation, which our so-called representatives are writing and passing, with nary any debate, is being proposed and voted on. As posted on April 9th, the unintended consequences (or are they intended?) of the New York state anti-gun bill, misleadingly called the NYSAFE Act, is resulting in the confiscation of firearms from citizens who have done nothing wrong, save that they are on "anti-anxiety" medication. An Attorney, Jim Tresmond, confirmed in a New York radio interview that this is indeed happening in New York. (Click here for the link to the interview)(Connecticut's new gun legislation is expected to be even more prohibitive than New York's)

MO Turns Over Confidential Lists Of Concealed Carry Holders To Feds
Posted by Brian
In violation of Missouri state law, the Missouri Highway Patrol turned over the entire list of concealed weapons holders in the state to the federal government.
There are at least two issues here. One is that someone at the highway patrol believed it was permissible to violate state law (Class A misdemeanor), and turn over the confidential information of individual Missouri citizens. The second issue, and one which is equally or more concerning, is who in the federal government is interested in learning the identities of all individuals who have concealed carry permits?
We're not talking of people who are suspected of engaging in illegal activity. We're talking of the government collecting data on an entire group of people for the sole reason that they have applied for and received a legal permit for their own protection. Does the government now see gun owners as suspected law breakers at some unannounced point in the near future?
Keep in mind that thousands of people in New York were legal gun owners up until a few weeks ago, but are now having their weapons confiscated due to sweeping legislation on the definition of who is a mentally disqualified citizen.
What other information is the federal government collecting on the American people?
Highway patrol gave feds Missouri weapon permits data

JEFFERSON CITY – The Missouri State Highway Patrol has twice turned over the entire list of Missouri concealed weapon permit holders to federal authorities, most recently in January, Sen. Kurt Schaefer said Wednesday.
Questioning in the Senate Appropriations Committee revealed that on two occasions, in November 2011 and again in January, the patrol asked for and received the full list from the state Division of Motor Vehicle and Driver Licensing. Schaefer later met in his office with Col. Ron Replogle, superintendent of the patrol.

***BREAKING*** Obama Admin Votes To Approve U.N. Gun Control, Void 2nd Amendment!!
Posted by Brian
While the Obama Administration is embroiled in two gun-running scandals, ("Operation Fast and Furious", and the reported smuggling of weapons from Libya to Syrian rebels, which resulted in the Benghazi Embassy attacks and the deaths of Ambassador Christopher Stevens, two Navy SEALS, and a fourth embassy person), they voted to approve the U.N. Arms Trade Treaty.
Sold as a way to regulate the sale and transport of illegal weapons between countries, the treaty is a massive power grab by the international community to regulate the rights of individuals to own or possess personal firearms. It requires individual countries to maintain a national registry for the sale and possession of all firearms (link).
Somebody, please show me where any President has the authority to cede the sovereignty of our country and its Constitution to an international body. Particularly one made up of dictators, thugs, and despots. This is a treasonous act by this President and this Administration, who has stated that he is "not coming for your guns", then turns around and votes to have the U.N. do just that! His goal, along with all leftists is to disarm citizens, not only in this country, but all over the world. The only ones left with weapons will be the governments and criminals.
So much easier to control "the masses" that way!
UN Passes Sweeping Gun Control Measure
Tuesday, 02 Apr 2013 12:50 PM
The United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday signed off on a sweeping, first-of-its-kind treaty to regulate the international arms trade, brushing aside worries from U.S. gun rights advocates that the pact could lead to a national firearms registry and disrupt the American gun market.
The long-debated U.N. Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) requires countries to regulate and control the export of weaponry such as battle tanks, combat vehicles and aircraft and attack helicopters, as well as parts and ammunition for such weapons. It also provides that signatories will not violate arms embargoes, international treaties regarding illicit trafficking, or sell weaponry to a countries for genocide, crimes against humanity or other war crimes.
With the Obama administration supporting the final treaty draft, the General Assembly vote was 154 to 3, with 23 abstentions.
