Obama Shamelessly Using Trayvon Martin To Rekindle Gun Control Debate

If this weren't so infuriating, it would be absolutely laughable.

The President of the United States unexpectedly enters the White House Press briefing room to give an impromptu statement on the Trayvon Martin verdict.

Really?

With everything else facing the country (the economy, unemployment, the IRS, illegal, immigration, Syria, Benghazi, Fast & Furious) , this is what the President feels he needs to weigh-in on? The need to put in his two cents on a made-for-Oprah trial that, arguably, should have never been brought before a jury?  Way to focus like a laser on the important issues!

Note: To give credit where credit is due, Obama did make his remarks without the aid of a telepromptor.  Unfortunately for him (and for us), he comes off as tired, and someone who does not have a grasp of all the facts about which he speaks, rather than the leader of the Free World.



Obama starts out by mentioning the family of Trayvon Martin:

First of all, you know, I -- I want to make sure that, once again, I send my thoughts and prayers, as well as Michelle’s, to the family of Trayvon Martin, and to remark on the incredible grace and dignity with which they’ve dealt with the entire situation. I can only imagine what they’re going through, and it’s -- it’s remarkable how they’ve handled it.

I have no issue with this, in that I also have respect for the feeling and emotions of the Martin family, and what they must be going through.  I cannot imagine, as a father, losing one of my children, whatever the cause. It would be devastating.

It is notable, however, that Obama never mentions, not even once, the family of George Zimmerman, and the ordeal they have endured, also with grace and class, during the course of the investigation and trial, as well as dealing with death threats and threats of violence, which they continue to deal with to this day. Apparently, Obama's well of compassion only runs so deep.

Obama then goes on to essentially give a wink and a nod to all of the protestors and agitators, saying:

You know, when Trayvon Martin was first shot, I said that this could have been my son. Another way of saying that is Trayvon Martin could have been me 35 years ago. And when you think about why, in the African- American community at least, there’s a lot of pain around what happened here, I think it’s important to recognize that the African- American community is looking at this issue through a set of experiences and a history that -- that doesn’t go away.

Well, why doesn't it go away, genius?  Could it be that race-baiters like you, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are constantly telling the black community that racism is still the same problem that it was 50, 75, 100 or 150 years ago? That blacks are still in a state of slavery, and that the deck is stacked against them.  Hell, they might as well be living in pre-Civil War America!  Or maybe it is because we have the so-called civil rights leader, Jesse Jackson is doing interviews saying that Florida is "an apartheid state"? Martin Luther King must be rolling in his grave at the way Jackson, his protege, has hijacked his message and completely bastardized it.

The comment that Trayvon "could have been me 35 years ago", is just Obama (once-again) shamelessly inserting himself into the mix.  It's always about Obama.  Even when it isn't, its about him.

My question for Barack Obama is this: Which you of 35 years ago are you talking about?  It is the Barack Obama of the "Choom Gang", or is it the budding Marxist Obama sitting at the knee of your Communist mentor Frank Marshall Davis?

Mr. President, you claimed to be a "uniter", but you prove, everyday, to be nothing more than an agitator and divider, a role that your time as a community organizer trained you well for.

"Never let a crisis go to waste"
It is not until about 4 minutes into Obama's little "impromptu" remarks that we discover his real reason for his appearance, and it has nothing to do with Trayvon Martin, or this trial.  It turns out they are merely the vehicle that Obama has chosen to use in order to rekindle an agenda item in which Obama suffered his first major defeat several months back - Gun Control.

Barack Obama has little interest in this, or any other "crisis", save for how he can use it to advance his socialist vision of America.  Like the families of the Children in Newtown, Barack Obama is using the family of Trayvon Martin to gain sympathy for an agenda item in which he suffered a stinging rebuke from the American people.  What was worse, it was a rebuke from those Americans which he really despises -  the one "bitterly clinging to their guns and religion". Remember the press conference in which a visibly angry Barack Obama called the defeat "shameful", said that the NRA "willfully lied", and declared that Senate Republicans decided it "wasn't worth it" to protect the lives of children.  Ouch!

Obama opened up his new salvo on gun control following a screed on racial profiling with this:

Along the same lines, I think it would be useful for us to examine some state and local laws to see if it -- if they are designed in such a way that they may encourage the kinds of altercations and confrontations and tragedies that we saw in the Florida case, rather than diffuse potential altercations.  

I know that there’s been commentary about the fact that the stand your ground laws in Florida were not used as a defense in the case.  

On the other hand, if we’re sending a message as a society in our communities that someone who is armed potentially has the right to use those firearms even if there’s a way for them to exit from a situation, is that really going to be contributing to the kind of peace and security and order that we’d like to see?  

And for those who resist that idea that we should think about something like these “stand your ground” laws, I just ask people to consider if Trayvon Martin was of age and armed, could he have stood his ground on that sidewalk? And do we actually think that he would have been justified in shooting Mr. Zimmerman, who had followed him in a car, because he felt threatened?

Do you notice what he does?  He first acknowledges that the Florida "Stand Your Ground" law had nothing to do with the George Zimmerman case.  Then, brushing it aside, he tells the press that we need to see if we are "sending a message" of unnecessary confrontations with firearms.

He further shows his ignorance of what Stand Your Ground is by concocting yet another one of his straw-men arguments, asking if Trayvon would have been justified in shooting Zimmerman under the law.  The answer in both situations is no.

What Obama does not mention is that the Stand your Ground laws in Florida have benefitted the black population in the state, disproportionately, accounting for one-third of the total cases in which Stand your ground was used as a defense (with a 55% success rate), or double the percentage of blacks in the state.

Meanwhile, in Chicago, black teens and men are being killed by other black men and teens in epidemic numbers, in a city which boasts some of the toughest anti-gun laws in the country.  Yet, Obama and the rest of the anti-gun proponents and race-baiters, rarely mention the entire generation of young people being murdered in Obama's adopted home town on a daily basis. It doesn't fit the racial narrative, and drawing attention to it certainly destroys their gun-control narrative.

The takeaway from all of this is that Obama doesn't really care about the pain and suffering of the Martin family, and sees their tragedy as his opportunity.  He will feign compassion, using them, as he does all of the others, to help him.

Because, it's always about him.

Obama World: Tea Party, Conservatives, Judeo-Christian Values Are "The Enemy"

It is well past time for the American people to wake up about what is going on in our country.

In the past, the enemy was defined as the former Soviet Union, China, and communist dictatorships. Not so with the Obama Administration and today's Democrats.  Todays Democrat Party is not the Party of Harry S. Truman.  One thing that both parties could agree on in those days was the defeat of communism.

Todays' Democrats, and this Administration in particular, embrace the Marxist philosophy.  The enemy of the United States today is the Tea Party and conservatism. Don't believe me? Let's look at the last five years.

The Rise of the Tea Party
The Tea Party grew out of average citizens concerned about the size and scope of government.  After the collapse of the housing market, we saw the out of control spending and calls for higher taxes, among other things, as a direct threat to our liberty.  Democrats who only several years earlier had called $400+ billion deficits irresponsible, were now calling for trillion dollar plus deficits.  People said enough is enough.  And it wasn't just the Democrats that people were upset with.  We recognize that big government Republicans are equally to blame for the fiscal mess we find ourselves in.  The system is broke.

You would think that citizens wanting to rein in the size of government would be welcomed.  You would be wrong. In Washington, entrenched Democrats and liberal "establishment" Republicans view the Tea Party and conservatives as a threat to their POWER. They no longer view themselves as public servants, but instead see their constituents as subservient to them.

Tea Party creates problem for the Power Elite
The problem was that out in the Heartland, the message of the Tea Party was resonating with average Americans. Lower taxes and accountability by our government to its citizens is a winning message. The people who were showing up at Tea Party events cut across party lines, race and ethnicity, and socio-economic backgrounds.   We are Republicans, Democrats, Independents, black, white, hispanic, Asian, Indian, rich, poor, and middle class.  We embody Martin Luther King's "by the content of their character".  I know. I have been there. The elites in government and in academe were in a pickle. They knew they couldn't defeat the conservative message of the Tea Party, so they devised a strategy to attack their character and integrity.

With Barack Obama as the newly elected, and first black President, their strategy was simple.  Paint the Tea Party as racists and rednecks. Label them as the "new" KKK (ironically, founded by Democrats). Accuse them of wanting to take the US back to the days of Jim Crow ( also a Democrat policy).  It didn't matter if it wasn't true. Throw it out there and let a liberal media carry the lie to the people 24/7 on cable, and on the networks' nightly news programs for months on end.  Send out a reporter to a Tea Party gathering of several thousand people and find the one or two idiots carrying a racist sign to back up their accusations.  It didn't matter that people at the Tea Party in most cases would identify the wacko's in their midst themselves, tell the offenders that those types of signs and graphics were not what we stand for, and ask those individuals to leave.  That didn't fit the narrative of the reporter or of the left. "These are racists, and we're going to expose them!", was the message.

If you are losing the debate, "create" the controversy. Lie if you have to.
The Democrats even stooped to fabricating controversy in order to promote this false narrative.  In a weak attempt to re-create that the 1965 civil rights march on Selma Alabama, Democrat Congressmen, led by the intellectually challenged Nancy Pelosi, marched up the steps of the Capital for the passage of ObamaCare. Rights days claimed, he was spit on and called the "n-word" by supposed foaming-at-the-mouth Tea Party members. Expressing outrage and disgust, Cleaver nor the media could not  produce one photograph, or recording/videotape of the alleged incident. (Breitbart offered $1million for anyone who could produce audio or video evidence to substantiate the allegation. The offer remains unclaimed to this day).  It didn't matter. The story was printed and run on every major news outlet, and the phantom incident became fact in the minds of millions.

Conversely, Democrats, the media, and the Obama Administration embraced the "Occupy" movement, calling them "patriotic", and praising them as "speaking truth to power", or claiming "this is what democracy looks like".  Many in this "occupy" movement are young, college-age people who are also frustrated by a lack of jobs and an all-powerful government, naively banding together with people and organizations whose last thought is to empower these young people, but to collapse the system and remake a Marxist utopia.  They are unwitting dupes to their own enslavement.

Of course, to advance the lie that the Occupy movement is a "grassroots" movement, the media and leftists in government had to intentionally hide from the American people the organizations supporting Occupy -  financially and materially - through "workshops",  media ad campaigns, computer technology, and training people how to protest and resist law enforcement.  They include such Marxist/communist groups as Industrial Workers of the World (IWWW), Socialist Party USA, Communist Party USA, MoveOn.org, People for the American Way, Workers World Party, and International Committee of the Fourth International, A.N.S.W.E.R..  Additionally, well-known communists such as billionaire George Soros, Obama's former "green Czar" Van Jones, Francis Fox-Piven, and SEIU's Stephen Lerner have been deeply involved in the funding, planning, or re-education of Occupy participants , through speeches and workshops.  SEIU's Lerner was captured on camera telling workshop attendees how to collapse the stock market, and how to "destabilize" the nation.

Fundamental Transformation
Lest anyone think that Obama has been an innocent bystander in all of this, he has not.  Occupy Wall Street did not magically bubble up as an answer to a mythically racist Tea Party. This has been in the works for decades.  The Francis Fox-Piven's, Bill Ayres', and others have been patiently awaiting the right moment in history.  Through a gradual takeover, ideologically, of the education system, those who seek to collapse the American system have been subtly and insidiously poisoning the minds of young people to the greatness of America, while promoting leftist doctrine and rewriting our history for over four decades.

With his declaration in 2008, "We are five days away from fundamentally transforming this nation," Barack Obama communicated, not just to America, but to Marxist/socialists around the globe, that the time for socialist change in America was now.  At first it was easy to keep people "fired up", with the country in a deep recession, people losing jobs, and George W. Bush as a bogeyman to pin blame on.  Don't get me wrong, there is plenty of blame to place on George W. Bush regarding some of the financial straits we find ourselves in, but he is not the be-all and end-all to our problems.  They run much deeper.  Obama also knew this, and with the rise of the Tea Party, he had found a target.

2010: Tea Party Delivers Biggest Dem Defeat since 1928
What Obama and the media did not count on was how effective this loosely organized movement of middle American patriots would actually be.  They found out during the 2010 mid-term election cycle. Fueled by an electorate motivated by the Tea Party, Democrats lost 6 Senate seats and 63 seats in the House of Representatives in national races.  In state races, Democrats fared even worse, losing over 500 state legislative seats.  It was the biggest rejection of Democrats since 1928.  Leftists in the media were visibly stunned. How could this happen when they had the greatest President the United States, even the World, had ever seen. Their reaction was that these racist rednecks had crucified the messiah a second time.  This wasn't merely a rejection of Obama and the Democrats policies. This was blasphemy!  Worse, it was racism!

As shocked as Obama's leftist sycophants in the media were, the Obama White House was caught even more flat-footed.  Obama's tone-deafness to what was going on in the country was exposed, as was his failure to see that the Tea Party was a formidable and motivated movement.  As November neared, they knew there was going to be electoral blood when the election returns came in. They didn't realize to what extent.

Clearly, another strategy was needed in order to slow, and if possible, destroy the Tea Party before the 2012 Presidential election.

"Payback Time"

“After we win this election, it’s our turn. Payback time. Everyone not with us is against us and they better be ready because we don’t forget. The ones who helped us will be rewarded, the ones who opposed us will get what they deserve. There is going to be hell to pay."

We now know that the targeting of the Tea Party began at least as far back as June 2010. If Obama couldn't outlaw Tea Party groups, he could, through a complicit IRS, hold up their tax-exempt status, effectively preventing them from raising money for which they could use to run any effective outreach on issues, candidates, workshops, etc.  The plan was simple.  Neutralize them with bureaucratic red tape. The IRS did not actually reject any applications from Tea Party organizations for tax exempts status. The put them in bureaucratic limbo.

The strategy was a political rope-a-dope, wherein the IRS would demand more and more information, including information which was not even lawful or required for the groups to submit. They also gave unreasonably little time for the groups to gather information and submit it back to the IRS, while at they same time the IRS took excessively long periods of time to get back to these groups regarding the status of the applications.  This was a success in that some of the Tea Party groups became frustrated feeling that the whole process was not worth it.  Others who have continued to trudge through are still awaiting the approval of the application almost 2 years after they originally submitted their paperwork.

Intimidation Works
For the most part the strategy worked. The Tea Party was much less effective in 2012 than in the 2010 midterms, and of course, Obama won a second term despite continued high unemployment, disapproval of the passage of ObamaCare, increasing inflation, and lower wages and personal wealth dwindling.  Making fundraising effectively impossible, the Tea Party was severely limited in their ability to organize, print materials, or to help rally the conservative base. Romney received 2.8 million fewer votes than John McCain did in 2008. Ironically, if Romney would have simply tallied the same number of votes as McCain, he would have won the popular vote by over 100,000 votes.

Chris Christie to Obama's Rescue
Of course, a last-minute storm which devastated the Northeast, and which could have been a political disaster for Obama, gave Obama a boost in the weeks leading up to the election, along with a virtual endorsement by New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.  Christie, the one-time Republican phenom for his YouTube videos which spotlighted him taking on NJ teachers unions in town hall settings, may have been a game changer, convincing those sitting on the fence that Obama deserved a second chance.  Keep in mind also, that it was Christie at the RNC Convention, who spoke not of his support and confidence of Mitt Romney's nomination as the GOP candidate, but spent an interminably long period of time speaking about himself and how great he was, exhibiting an ego even larger than his ever expanding waistband.  Many felt that this was Christie using the moment to introduce himself to a national audience in preparation for a 2016 run for President.  A real team player.  The question is which team is he playing for?

Sandy Hook Elementary
After the election Obama and the leftists in our country were given a political gift in the form of a horrific tragedy - the shooting of children at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, CT. The 26 victims, including 20 children, were not even buried before the anti-gun leftists were calling for new bans on everything from guns, to magazines, to ammunition.  The Obama administration was only too-happy to oblige.  With Obama being on record as saying that he wants to keep "guns out of the inner cities", and nominating an Attorney General who is on record for draconian gun control laws, Obama had crisis he wasn't let go to waste. Obama put the full weight of his Presidency behind Sen. Dianne Feinstein's so-called "Assault Weapons Ban", traveling the country to make his push for the ban.  The bill failed in Congress, and a visibly angry Obama called the vote "shameful" and driven by "politics".  It was Obama's first significant political defeat. Hopefully not his last.

Benghazi
Obama's second term is revealing his true agenda for America.  The number of scandals are growing daily.  Even before the 2012 election, the attack on the US consulate in Benghazi, Libya, which claimed the lives of four American's , and which should have been a game changer in the campaign, was downplayed by the Administration and a compliant media. "Nothing to see here".

Operation Fast and Furious
Then there is "Operation Fast and Furious", an ill-conceived and illegal gun-running operation to drug cartels in Mexico, instituted without the knowledge of the Mexican government, resulting in the deaths of two US law enforcement officers and hundreds of Mexican citizens South of the border, virtually ignored by an incurious media. Oh, yeah.  Most of the guns that the DOJ were tracking, were never recovered and remain in the hands of the cartels. Even when the scandal has been raised on the weekend talking-head shows, they have regurgitated the Obama Administration lie that the operation was actually a "Bush Administration program", and it was Obama and Eric Holder who had the good sense to shut it down.  they said these things, even though a little investigative digging would reveal the the Bush program, Operation Linebacker ended before Obama took office, AND that the Bush program was done in coordination with the Mexican government, and all weapons were closely tracked, with none lost.  It has been surmised that the real reason for Obama and Holder's Fast and Furious operation was a back-door excuse for gun control and gun registration, blaming the flow of guns to Mexico on US gun dealers indiscriminately selling weapons to all comers, with or without background checks.

The Dam Bursts
  The IRS targeting conservatives, the Tea Party, pro-Israel groups, and conservative religious organizations. The DOJ tapping phones and confiscating the e-mail of the media organizations  and individuals like the AP and reporter James Rosen.  In Rosen's case, even the phones and emails of his parents were monitored by the government.

Lurking just below the surface of the other scandals are reports of the EPA using their unconstitutional authority of unilaterally making laws to illegally harass and intimidate conservatives, even stooping to release the personal information of up to 8 million farmers to leftist environmental groups.

Military now views Christianity and conservatism as 'divisive'
The US military is, and has been for the last year or two, been discriminating against Judeo-Christian members in its branches.  Chaplains have been threatened with sedition and treason for preaching against sin and homosexuality.  Gideon Bibles are are no longer allowed, and are being removed from on-base housing. Chaplains have been told that they must perform same-sex marriages, even if it violates their faith.

Meanwhile, the Obama team cozies up to the Muslim Brotherhood, CAIR, and Islamist groups which advocate the institution of sharia law in the United States - a sharia law which calls for the execution of gays, the beating and sexual mutilation of women, the institutions of pedophilia and polygamy (marrying and having sex with "brides" as young a seven years old), the beheading of infidels, and taxing (jizya) those who do not convert to Islam.

The Army is in the process of harassing and bringing charges against a career Master Sgt. with a spotless record because of his political and religious beliefs. The member who is a musician in the world-famous Army band has been confronted several times for reading conservative books by Mark Levin, David Limbaugh and others while in uniform, being told that his reading is creating a "hostile work environment". He has also been confronted about anti-Obama bumper stickers on his personal vehicle, and his views on gay marriage, which he opposes based on religious grounds.  After this soldier went public regarding the harassment he has subjected to, the Army has brought charges against him, not for the above things mentioned, as these do not violate the UCMJ, but for "providing the wrong date for his son's doctor appointment" to a superior officer.  It is obvious that the Army is carrying out a vendetta against this man for exposing the politically correct culture that is spreading throughout the military, and not for mistakenly giving in incorrect date to his superior.

The Transformation
Barack Obama's transformation has been successful, at least in the sense that his politics of divisiveness has massively expanded the number of Americans dependent on government.  One in seven Americans are now on food stamps - 47.3 million Americans as of January 2013. In addition, 4.3 million are on welfare, and 5.6 million are on unemployment. A cumulative approaching 60 million Americans!  Obama and the Democrats see these numbers (actually people) as something to be exploited.  It plays directly into a haves and have-nots political issues which they can break down into rich/poor, race, gender, immigrant issues.  Though this kind of data represents real misery, and real people suffering that misery, a result of the very policies which Obama and statists have created and implemented, Obama and the leftists in this government use the most base arguments to turn people against the very policies which would make their lives better, give them greater freedom over their own situations, and give them real hope, as opposed to the false hope that Obama has promised.

All of the "promises" that Obama and the Dems have made since 2008 (actually for decades) have not made the lives of those who have supported him, and them, better.  They have made them worse.  Minority unemployment has gone up.  Real wealth has gone down. Unemployment among young people, especially young minorities, is at epidemic proportions.  Violence in those areas which have the most draconian gun laws are claiming more young men and women each month, especially young black males, than the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Billions of dollars are being funneled into insolvent "green energy" companies, enriching the executives of these Obama "friends", while this President punishes those energy companies which can actually provide affordable energy, driving up the cost for those who can least afford it.  His signature ObamaCare is actually increasing the cost of health insurance, while reducing the level care for those on the lower end of the pay scale.

A Daunting Task

As long as this rant is, I am only scratching the surface of the damage that this President, and the leftists in our government and its institutions, with the aid of a sympathetic media, and assisted by big-government Republicans, more concerned with their own power and status than the Constitution or the citizens whom they supposedly represent, are doing to the foundation of the United States.

ALL incumbents who have become detached from Constitutional principles, regardless of party, should be defeated in the primary elections.  This means that strong conservatives who can articulate the conservative message, need to be identified and recruited to run against these people, whether they have been in office 40 years or four years.  This is a daunting task.

The 2014 election will be THE determining factor as to whether we as a people can begin to turn this country back to its constitutional moorings, or whether the United States will become a historic footnote of a failed experiment in self-governance, by a people who have finally decided that servitude and subjugation have become preferable to the awesome responsibilities of freedom and self-reliance.

Mark Levin - "It's So White Over There At NBC, I'm Blinded"

"The Great One", Mark Levin, took to the airwaves today and blasted mainstream news, NBC in particular, over the kneejerk response of liberals to label any critcism of President Barack Hussein Obama, as racist, or having racial undertones.
Since the 2008 campaign, the media and Hollywood liberal elites have found the Klan in every disparaging remark about Barack Obama or his policies.  The final straw for Levin was David Gregory's race-baiting question to Newt Gingrich, insinuating that Gingrich's comment that Obama is the "food stamp President" as having racial undertones. The leap in illogic was stunning and Levin had had enough of the hypocrisy.

Harry Alford Says He Voted For Obama Because He's Black, Now Regrets It

Harry Alford, President and CEO of the Black Chamber of Commerce, has led the NBCC to a being powerful voice in Washington on behalf of African American business empowerment. According to his management bio on the NBCC web site, "His courage and leadership have been noted by all in the rebuilding of the Gulf Coast in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina." A big man, with a larger personality and presence, he is both a motivator to those he champions, and an imposing figure to those he sees as standing in the way of economic progress for small business.  He has testified before Congress on behalf of small business, and has been to the White House with some of the brightest business leaders in the country.
He is known for being a straight talker, and is not afraid to speak his mind, whether to other business leaders or to Senators.  Along with many others, Mr. Alford became caught up in the hype and hoopla of Barack Obama in 2008, and voted for him for President.  In all fairness, having John McCain as the other choice made it much easier for him and many other voters to pull the lever for Obama.
Now, after two and a half years, Mr. Alford is having serious buyers remorse regarding his vote, and is seeing Obama's policies for what they are.  Harmful to business, and dangerous to the securtity of the country.  He discussed this with Laura Ingraham on her nationally syndicated radio show, and pulled no punches on his assessment of Obama's Presidency and policies to this point.
Here is the interview:


Harry Alford's famous exchange with Senator Barbara "Babs" Boxer.  In this video, Boxer attempts to show Mr. Alford that he should support climate change legislation because the NAACP supports it, infering that "Look! Other black are supporting it. How come you don't."  He takes offense, as he should.  This is racism at its most subtle and insidious, as the assumption is that all blacks think alike and march in lockstep. 
In addition, note Senator Boxer's tone of voice.  It is condescending, and comes across as if she is speaking to a child.

CA Rep. Sanchez Mocks Tea Party Republicans as Slow with Bigoted Southern Accent

Loretta Sanchez, Congresswoman from S. California, is another one of the giant embarrassments of our once-great state.  This troll was elected under dubious circumstances in 1996, defeating Bob Dornan by 984 votes. I say dubious because there were numerous reports of voter fraud alleged, including: activists going into minority neighborhoods registering non-citizens and providing absentee ballots that had already been filled out for Sanchez.  A House of Representatives investigation turned up 547 illegal ballots, which was not enough to turn the election to Dornan.  But a later investigation by INS determined that as many as 4023 votes were cast for Sanchez by illegal voters.

She has also used her position to pursue a married Army Officer, John P. Einwechter, whom she is now (surprise!) engaged to. This relationship also leads to a rather stick ethics conundrum for Sanchez, as Einwechter has represented Hechler and Koch firearms, used by Homeland Security.  Guess what Committee Sanchez sits on? Homeland Security, over which Sanchez has oversight.

Then, of course, is Sanchez' election campaign last year, which she turned into a racial contest between herself and her opponent Van Tran, saying on Univision that the Vietnamese were trying to take her seat from her.

Now she comes out portraying new Tea-Party backed Republican colleagues as a bunch of slow, backward rednecks.



Loretta Sanchez is really in no position to be talking down to Tea Partiers, as her moral compass doesn't exactly point true north.  She is one more example of the elitist, racist, morally repugnent pigs that make up so much of the current Democratic politicians today.

(CNSNews.com) – The black leadership network Project 21 accused former Democratic National Committee Chairman and presidential candidate Howard Dean of “playing the race card” over remarks Dean made at a breakfast event hosted by the Christian Science Monitor on Wednesday in Washington, D.C.

Dean said the Tea Party was the “last gasp” of a 55-year-old generation and that most people involved in the Tea Party movement are “almost entirely over 55 and white.”

(CNSNews.com) – The Planned Parenthood Federation of America is signaling its intention to dominate the national sex education agenda.

Specifically, Planned Parenthood's Web site announced the group is preparing to launch a nationwide “social change initiative” to end the “stigma and shame about sex” in American culture.

The project aims to teach parents and caregivers how to educate children about sex -- from birth. And it recommends telling teenagers about masturbation, oral sex and “where to go for help to prepare to be sexually active.”

Checking Credit History Now Deemed Racist

Could it not be said that the EEOC being racist by assuming that the majority of people with a bad credit history are minorities? The problem for liberals and progressives is that they see things through a racial filter (which they call "equality"), rather than individual merit and accomplishment, or non-accomplishment, as the case may be. Washington Post's Kaplan Higher Education Sued for Racial Discrimination

Washington Post Co.’s Kaplan Higher Education division was sued by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission over claims the company rejected job applicants based on credit history, a decision which discriminated by race.


The lawsuit, filed today in federal court in Cleveland, alleges that Kaplan’s hiring practices have violated the Civil Rights Act of 1964 since at least 2008. The lawsuit seeks lost wages and benefits, and offers of employment for people who weren’t hired.

“This practice has an unlawful discriminatory impact because of race and is neither job-related nor justified by business necessity,” the EEOC said in a statement.

This summer Andrew Breitbart, publisher of a number of conservative news sites, found himself in the throes of a media scandal of dramatic proportions — and one which he later discovered went far deeper than a mere contextual snafu.

For those unfamiliar with the story, in July, when liberals, the media, and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) were slamming Tea Partiers as racist, Breitbart released a now infamous video of United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) official Shirley Sherrod’s speech before the NAACP describing how she had discriminated against a white farmer. Her comments were met with nodding approval by the members of the audience.

In the wake of the release, the USDA wasted no time in forcing Sherrod’s resignation, despite the fact that Breitbart says his intent was never to harm Sherrod, but rather to expose the NAACP as a racist body.

Obama Meets With Black Journalists

President Barack Hussein Obama campaigned for office as the first post-partisan, post-racial President.  Since being sworn in, we hear only of how completely divided the country is - along racial lines, political lines, socio-economic lines, and seemingly every way you can divide the country up.  I believe this is intentional, but that is up for debate.  Opponents are labeled racist, because any opposition can't be on policy disagreement. They are bigoted/homophobes/Islamophobes etc.  Are there people who don't like Barack Obama because he's black?  Certainly. There are always going to be people who are bigoted, and they should be marginalized. But to paint millions of Americans, such as those who attend Tea Parties, as all racist is irresponsible.  There are those who support him strictly because he IS black.  Wouldn't that also be racist?   By definition, they are not judging him by his character or his policies, but by the amount of melanin in his skin, so wouldn't that also be racist?  Just musing.

White House Meeting for Black Journalists Doesn’t Stay Off-The-Record for Long

The White House is usually quite good at keeping a muzzle on the media after one of its off-the-record sessions with President Obama and senior members of his administration.
But not this week.
A group of black bloggers and journalists from outlets like Essence and BET were invited to the White House on Monday for a half-day of policy briefings by the president’s advisers. The White House provided the journalists with an agenda that spelled out the ground rules: the first half of their briefings was to be on background, meaning they could report any information they learned but not attribute it to any specific official; the second half was off the record entirely.
Still, that did not stop bloggers from writing about the event and, in one case, posting a video of the president’s remarks to the group.

The blog ConcreteLoop.com posted a clip shot by a blogger for www.theybf.com of Mr. Obama’s meet-and-greet with the journalists. In it, the president stressed the importance of White House outreach to black media, especially blogs with large black followings.
“The media is changing so rapidly,” the president said, acknowledging the role of the Web in allowing his administration to reach out beyond audiences that are mainstream media consumers.
“It allows us to reach audiences that may not be watching ‘Meet the Press’ — not that there’s anything wrong with ‘Meet the Press.’ I’m just saying that, you know, it might be a different demographic,” he added, stirring a few laughs from the group.
The black blogosphere, he added, was a crucial medium through which the White House could covey its message and get feedback from the black community.

Reporting from Washington — A Republican majority in Congress would mean "hand-to-hand combat" on Capitol Hill for the next two years, threatening policies Democrats have enacted to stabilize the economy, President Obama warned Wednesday.


Speaking on Michael Baisden's syndicated radio show, Obama also made a direct appeal to African Americans about the importance of the November vote, even though he's not on the ballot himself.

"The reason we won [in 2008] is because young people, African Americans, Latinos -- people who traditionally don't vote in high numbers -- voted in record numbers. We've got to have that same kind of turnout in this election," he said. "If we think that we can just vote one time, then we have a nice party at Obama's inauguration, and then we can kind of sit back and suddenly everything's going to change – that's just not how it works."

Obama called into Baisden's show, syndicated to 71 radio stations in 21 states, as part of his effort to rally core Democratic constituencies with less than four weeks before the election. Although his campaign itinerary is limited by sagging approval ratings in key states, Obama is making a more-targeted effort focused on supportive venues like Baisden's show.


"Everybody in the barbershops, the beauty shops, and at work -- everybody's got to understand: This is a huge election," he said. "If we turn out in strong numbers, then we will do fine. If we do not, if we are depressed and decide, well, you know, Barack's not running right now, so I'm just going to stay home, then I'm going to have my hands full up here on Capitol Hill."

By the way, Leslie Marshall claims that if he were Jewish, "you'd see similar numbers from the Jewish community". Is she delusional? I'd like her to show me a single poll where the Jewish candidate is pulling 90% approval in the Jewish community. Just one.
I don't think that this poll proves that all blacks, or even the majority, are racist. I think there are a lot of other dynamics involved which contribute to these numbers. But I think the point being raised is a valid one, at least from the standpoint of the media. I think it is fair to say that if these approval numbers were of white voters for a white candidate, we would see the headline on Time magazine "Why is White America Racist?". Tell me I'm wrong.

We live in a world of imperfect and costly information, and people seek to economize on information costs in a variety of ways. If we don't take that fact into account, we risk misidentifying and confusing one type of human behavior with another. Let's look at it.

Pima Indians of Arizona have the world's highest diabetes rates. With knowledge that his patient is a Pima Indian, it would probably be a best practice for a physician to order more thorough blood glucose tests to screen for diabetes.

Prostate cancer is nearly twice as common among black men as white men. It would also be a best practice for a physician to be attentive to -- even risk false positive PSAs -- prostate cancer among his black patients.

What about physicians who order routine mammograms for their 40-year and older female patients but not their male patients? The American Cancer Society predicts that about 400 men will die of breast cancer this year.

Because of a correlation between race, sex and disease, the physician is using a cheap-to-observe characteristic, such as race or sex, as an estimate for a more costly-to-observe characteristic, the presence of a disease. The physician is practicing both race and sex profiling.

Does that make the physician a racist or sexist? Should he be brought up on charges of racial discrimination because he's guessing that his black patients are more likely to suffer from prostate cancer?

Voting Rights Official Calls Dismissal of Black Panther Case a 'Travesty of Justice'

For those of you who may have missed this last Friday, as the lamestream media barely touched on the story of Christopher Coates, former voting chief of the DOJ's Civil Rights Division, testifying under oath before U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, that essentially the DOJ Civil rights Division is a cesspool of racists masquerading as lawyers.  Apparently the "testimony" of Stephen Colbert making a mockery of Congress was much more newsworthy than apparent institutionalized reverse-racism in the DOJ's Civil Rights Division.

US President Obama urges blacks to vote, ‘guard the change’

President Obama once again reaches into his bag of  "identity politics" to try to rally the "Black" Democrat base.  His "call to arms" would not be that big of a deal if he provided solid examples of policies that are working, that are creating jobs, making their future less uncertain,  or something tangible that they could get behind, but sadly, he is asking them to vote because he, and they are black.  Or as he put it: "to Guard the change".  This is politics at its most cynical. Martin Luther King spoke of judging a man by "the content of his character".  Barack Obama is asking black voters to vote because of  "the color of his skin".  I wonder who is setting the Civil Rights Movement backwards these days?
