A&E's "Duck Dynasty is a hit for a simple reason. The Robertson family epitomizes what most Americans miss - Love of God, love of family, and love of Country.
They represent what so many believe, but are afraid to say for fear of being seen as "un-PC'. Thank God the Robertson's haven't shackled themselves with the chains of politically correct speech. For too long, too many of us have done exactly that, fearful we will be seen as 'insensitive' to others, and we as a country are now paying the price for the cultural rot that we have allowed to fester up.
Phil Robertson has no such fear. Neither should we.
On MSNBC, Ed "putty face" Schultz said that Republicans are ramping up the "War on Women", and are putting and "iron fist to democracy".
Finding a sympathetic ear in comrade Schultz, Wisconsin State Representative Lena Taylor made the following ridiculous statement:
"This is no different than when I went to Turkey and heard of what the women in the Middle East are experiencing with the Taliban".
Really Representative Taylor? No difference? So,requiring an ultrasound is comparable to having a forced clitorectomy? An ultrasound is just like women in the Middle East being jailed for having the audacity to be raped? Or maybe it's just like getting acid thrown in her face if a breeze blows her hijab, exposing her face to a male member of her society?
This is the type of extreme crap that the left use as talking points, confident that the Ed Schultz' of the world won't even bother to challenge such a ludicrous comment.
One blogger on the left, who I'm sure thinks of himself as intellectual, even called a pre-abortion ultrasound as non-medical "RAPE"! Maybe this guy should go talk to some actual rape victims before positing such an asinine comparison.
But this is the schizophrenia seen on the left, who on the one hand remind us of how wonderful and peaceful these islamists are, labeling those who disagree as islamophobes, and in the same breath talk of their war on women, and how brutal they are.
Trying to follow the "logic" of these leftists is like playing a game of intellectual "Twister". "Right brain, 'Red'". "Left brain, 'green'".

A Wisconsin Democrat over the weekend compared her Republican colleagues to the Taliban for supporting and passing a bill that would require women to get an ultrasound before being allowed to have an abortion.

Unidentified woman who attacked 63 year old grandmother
63-year-old Rae Stabosz has been going to pray outside a Wilmington Delaware Planned Parenthood clinic which performs abortions for the last three years, but this is the first time she has been physically assaulted.
The Blaze reports that Stabosz was preparing to leave for the day when an ambulance pulled up. She then began filming with her iPhone. A woman came out of the clinic and demanded she stop filming, saying "I'm going to f**k you up so bad".
Stabosz called 911 to report she had been threatened. Continuing to film, the same woman came out after about 10 minutes talking on her cell phone. She tells the person on the phone, "I'll call you later from jail". Then, walking directly toward Stabosz, she assaults the grandmother, knocking her to the ground. Read More at The Blaze

To statists like her, those decisions should be made by a nameless, faceless, centralized government who sequester themselves behind closed doors making decisions which take away more and more individual liberty from our citizens, under the guise of "fairness" or the "collective good". A good little Marxist.
Debbie Wasserman-Schultz is a scourge upon our country, though unfortunately she is only one of many who roam the halls of our government, seeking to put more and more of us in bondage, becoming reliant upon the State.
The upcoming election is critical. The abortion topic and the Democrat's manufactured "War on Women" are deliberate distractions, put forth to cause Americans to take their focus off of the disastrous economy, double-digit unemployment, record home foreclosures, and an impotent and dangerous foreign policy which places not only us, but our allies in peril.
It is imperative that Americans elect small government, fiscally responsible, Constitutionally sound conservatives in November. How much is your child worth? To the parents of Bryan Santana - $9 million dollars. Although awarded half of that by a Palm Beach, Florida jury, the parents were "happy" with the outcome.
During the trial, the mother, Ana Santana told the jury, "Definitely I would have had an abortion". While I can certainly sympathize with the shock she obviously felt when her son was born, I have to wonder of the trauma and mental anguish her child will feel when he eventually discovers that his parents felt that his life was not worth living and that he was better off being aborted.
Also, what is going to be the effect on the medical community for not detecting abnormalities in the womb, or of making a mistake in the gender of the child? Is this setting precedent for even more lawsuits? How far are we willing to go in holding doctor, nurses, and medical technicians responsible for every detail of every medical case.
Gallup has a poll that shows that 90% of babies with disabilities are aborted, even if the disabilities are fairly minor. Apparently, only babies who are defect-free, or "perfect", are worth saving. While there are certainly positive aspects of ultra-sounds and amniocentesis, one cannot help but notice that these procedures are being used to perpetrate a less-than-subtle form of euthanasia.
Again, what constitutes a life worth living? How far down that slippery slope are we, as a society, willing to go?

After nearly nine hours of deliberation over two days, a Palm Beach County jury today awarded a West Palm Beach couple $4.5 million to care for their son who was born with no arms and one leg.
With the heartbreaking image of the small boy etched into their minds, jurors found Palm Beach Gardens obstetrician Dr. Marie Morel, OB/GYN Specialists of the Palm Beaches and Perinatal Specialists of the Palm Beaches responsible for not detecting the boy's horrific disabilities before he was born. The Planned Parenthood Federation of America finally released its 2008-2009 Annual report detailing its financial figures. The report shows it received more government funding, which has translated into more abortions
The nation’s largest abortion business released a factsheet in September showing the number of abortions it performed in 2008 increased to 324,008, a 6.1 percent increase over the 305,310 abortions it did in 2007.
The total government grants and contracts received by PPFA affiliates from government sources including state, local and federal governments, increased from $337 million to $350 million in 2009. Alaska Planned Parenthood Uses Mitzvah Mall Bazaar to Promote Abortion

Five days after the start of Advent, in which Christians prepare to celebrate the birth of the Infant Jesus, the largest provider of abortions in Alaska plans to utilize a popular holiday bazaar in Anchorage to promote and raise funds for their organization.
Planned Parenthood, which in past years has promoted a “Choice on Earth” abortion campaign during the Christmas season, is now offering gift certificates which can be used toward paying for abortions.
Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest is scheduled to be one of 35 non-profit organizations that will participate in the annual Mitzvah Mall, a December 5 holiday bazaar hosted by Congregation Beth Sholom, a Reform Jewish synagogue in Anchorage.
In an email to supporters, Planned Parenthood noted that the “very popular season bazaar” is a place to find gifts for “hard-to-buy-for people on your list.”
According to the Congregation Beth Sholom Web site, Mitzvah is the Hebrew word for “good deed.” The Mitzvah Mall will allow bazaar goers to “choose among gifts that support programs of 35 nonprofit organizations.”
It adds, “These gifts from the heart range in price from $5 to $30.”
Planned Parenthood recently made headlines in Alaska for its opposition to a successful ballot measure that now requires abortion practitioners to notify at least one parent of a minor girl before they perform an abortion on her.
Planned Parenthood runs five clinics in Alaska, four of which perform abortions and one that refers for abortion. On average, more than 600 abortions are performed in Alaska annually.
