"Religious Fanatic": Romney Mocked on CNN for Quoting Psalms in Commencement Speech

Posted by Brian

"Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.  As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.  Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: "Ps.127:3-5a

The tolerance of those on the left is striking, unless you are a Christian or Jew. Then you are a fanatic.
It amazes me, the pretzels that the left will turn themselves into in order to make completely contradictory arguments.  On one hand, they speak of protecting women, children, homosexuals, and people of all faiths and race.  On the other, they openly embrace Islam, which advocates misogyny, child abuse and rape, beheading or hanging homosexuals, and enslaving, torturing and executing those who do not convert to their faith.

Piers Morgan and his panel would be outraged at any criticism of the "religion of peace", by are more than giddy, attacking Romney for quoting Psalms at a university which is 90 percent Mormon or Christian, during a commencement speech.
My question for Piers Morgan, who has now shown himself to be anti-2nd Amendment and anti-1st Amendment: When are you going to make good on your promise and deport yourself back to jolly olde England?

Obama EPA Pick Gina McCarthy a Leftist in GOP Clothing

Posted by Brian

Obama's pick to head EPA, Gina McCarthy
President Obama's pick of Gina McCarthy to replace Lisa Jackson to head the Environmental Protection Agency is, as political strategy, a cunning move.  McCarthy has all of the ideological values on the environment of Obama, along with ties to some of the more prominent names in the GOP. How do I know that she is a left-wing environmental hack? Enviro-wackos absolutely love this pick.

The Wall Street Journal notes that McCarthy has been a "willful regulator" as one of Lisa Jackson's top lieutenants at the EPA, saying "Ms. McCarthy has been integral in abusing laws that were written decades ago in order to achieve climate goals that Congress has rejected, all with little or no political debate. Someone should ask her about her antidemocratic politics at her confirmation hearings."

Her penchant for legislating from her desk at the EPA is perfectly in line with Obama's "if Congress won't act" on Cap and Tax, "I will".  Obama using Executive Orders to bypass Congress, or the EPA issuing new regulations (laws) is a distinction without much difference.  The goal is to ram through as much regulation as possible without any debate.

San Joaquin Valley, California
The long-term effects and unintended consequences are of no concern to these far-left enviro-wackos.  Just as the protection of the non-native "delta smelt" in California's agricultural San Joaquin Valley has devastated farmers' ability to get enough water to irrigate their crops, creating a man-made dustbowl, the affect that the EPA's edicts will have on the energy industry are of little to no concern to them.
Water protest - San Joaquin Valley, CA

The problem for the GOP is that McCarthy has ties to one of the main movers and shakers in the establishment-side of the Party.  McCarthy was an appointee of then Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney.  The Romney that gave the Bay State RomneyCare, which became the blueprint for ObamaCare, also appointed a left-wing environmentalist as his "Green Quarterback" on environmental isssues.

With Rino's currently holding the power in the GOP, it is unlikely that anything other than another rubber stamp approval of Obama's nominee will happen (think of the Elena Kagan SCOTUS confirmation lovefest), putting another far-left ideologue in charge of the EPA to replace the outgoing socialist Jackson.

McCarthy's bona fides include "requiring all new power plants to emit less than half" the amount of so-called greenhouse gasses "of what the average facility currently churns out", effectively eliminating the building of any new coal-fired plants at a time that our nation's aging energy infrastructure requires additional cost-effective energy production.  Under the new laws, even the most efficient coal plant exceeds the new requirements by 80%, while cleaner burning natural gas plants barely meet the 1000 pounds of CO2 per megawatt hour limit imposed by McCarthy's office.  Nuclear plants can easily meet the requirement, but radical environmentalists place legal roadblocks in the way of every attempt to build a new reactor.

In addition, McCarthy has "mislead" Congress (that's lied in non-politico speech) about the link between fuel efficiency standards and "greenhouse gas" emissions from motor vehicles.  She'll fit in well with the self-proclaimed "most transparent administration in history".

With the exceedingly clueless, big government RINO's controlling the GOP, Gina McCarthy is virtually assured of confirmation. This clears the way for Obama to further his radical agenda, using the EPA as a tool to further weaken the U.S. economy, driving us further down the road to the leftist socialist utopia.

Romney Was Right! Jeeps WILL Be Built In China

Posted by Brian
PolitiFact, which bills itself as nonpartisan, has been exposed on yet another untruth against a Republican. Back during the 2012 campaign, Mitt Romney stated that Fiat would be building Jeeps in China and was quickly criticized for lying.  PolitiFact even went so far as to give it "Lie of the Year".
It turns out Romney was correct, and PolitiFact was lying. Apparently this is not the first time that PolitiFact has been discredited for its "fact-checking" against Republicans.
If you're relying on PolitiFact to get the truth, you may want to get a fact checker to check the fact checkers over at PolitiFact.

REUTERS DEBUNKS POLITIFACT; FIAT WILL BUILD JEEPS IN CHINA
by TONY LEE  14 Jan 2013, 3:02 AM PDT

On Sunday, Reuters reported Fiat and Chrysler, which Fiat owns, are on the verge of signing an agreement to produce Jeeps in China, and they may make the announcement as early as Monday at the Detroit Auto Show:

Italian carmaker Fiat and its U.S. unit Chrysler are set to sign a new agreement with Guangzhou Automobile Group Co to produce the Jeep vehicle for the Chinese market, Il Corriere della Sera said on Sunday.

In an unsourced article, the Corriere said the head of Fiat and Chrysler Sergio Marchionne could announce the agreement at the Detroit auto show, which kicks off on Monday.

Under the agreement, off-road vehicles under the Jeep brand will be produced at GAC's Canton factory, the paper said.

Media Was Silent On Obama Admins Tax Cheats While Hammering Romney Tax Returns

Posted by Brian

Remember when the media meme of the campaign was the Romney was "unqualified" to be President because, in their view, he didn't pay enough in taxes?  Plus he was too rich, or something.  Even the troll-like Harry Reid got into the bashing, falsely accusing Romney of paying no taxes during some years, claiming that he had inside information from some mysterious person.  Of course he was unable to produce this mystery voice, so it can be safely assumed that it came from one of the many "friends" that old "dingy Harry" has running around in his head. Then, of course,  there was the conniption fit that the left threw when he released his returns, and it was discovered that he payed more than he had to by not claiming the full $4 million charitible deduction he is allowed.  Oh, the horror! "He did pay his fair share...and then some!"
One thing that you didn't hear from the propaganda machine which calls itself the media, is the number of people in the Obama Administration who not only didn't pay their "fair share", but who owe literally millions in back taxes to the IRS.  While Obama is stirring up his sycophantic base with his class warfare rhetoric of "fairness", people in his own administration are cheating the system. Yet, not a peep from the media, save one lone story in January 2012.  After that? Silence.  I can only imagine the dressing-down that the reporter who ran the story got, just for doing some honest reporting.
Thanks to citizen reporters, like FireAndreaMitchell.com and others, we can actually get news that the media sees fit to hide.
FireAndreaMitchell.com reports that 36 Obama aides owe the IRS over $833K!  That is just the tip of the iceberg.  The EPA under Obama lackey Lisa Jackson has 413 people who owe over $19 MILLION back taxes, and the FDIC has 185 employees owing another $3 million.
Hypocrisy?  You bet!  Criminal neglect by the media?  I'll let you decide.

36 Obama aides owe $833,970 in back taxes – media silent

Maybe the pink slime media is too caught up in Mitt Romney’s 12 year old tax returns or something. They sure don’t seem to care about the fact that *36* Obama aides owe a grand total of nearly a million in back taxes. $833,970 in back taxes is owed to the government by Obama’s government lackey aides.

Romney, Obama Tied In Poll Sampling Dems By +11

Posted by Brian
This is considered a "fair" sampling of voters by the lame-stream media?  Dems voters polled outnumber Republicans by 11% points?!
And even with this, Obama only manages a TIE with Romney, at 49-49?
On top of this, the same poll shows that independents favor Romney by 22%!
If this is in any way indicative of how voters are trending, minus the oversampling, the self-delusional media are going to stunned tomorrow night when the actual vote counts begin to roll in.
Tuesday night may not be as long a night as some predict.

ROMNEY GAINS 3 TO TIE OBAMA IN CNN'S D+11 POLL
by JOEL B. POLLAK  4 Nov 2012

The latest CNN national poll of likely voters, which shows a 49%-49% tie between Republican challenger Mitt Romney and incumbent President Barack Obama, is either absurd, or very good news for the GOP--or both.

Romney has gained 3 points since the last time CNN ran its poll, in late September, when Obama led 50%-47%. That is good news for the Republican ticket, especially since the poll was conducted after Hurricane Sandy.

Yet there is something odd--and even ridiculous--in the poll's sample: of the 693 likely voters in the total sample of 1,010 adults polled, "41% described themselves as Democrats, 29% described themselves as Independents, and 30% described themselves as Republicans."

Pravda Media Over-Sample Dems By 7% to 11% in Polls!!!!

Posted by Brian

Media polls not to be believed.

Real Clear Politics is reporting that President Obama is leading Mitt Romney by 2.8%, one day before the election. If you are a conservative, this is not good news. But, looking closely at the polls, and drilling down into the methodology, things may not be what they seem.

The four polls which show Obama leading by the greatest margins, which figure into that RCP average, are:

PPP Poll: Obama +5
NBC/Marist Poll: Obama +6
CBS/NYT/Quinnipiac Poll: FL,OH,VA  Obama +5
CNN Opinion Poll:  Obama +3

Pretty depressing, huh?

Here's the problem.  Each and every one of these polls grossly oversample Democrat voters, and in the case of the CBS poll, fail to mention the voter enthusiasm gap between Dems and Republicans.

Here is what the media are not telling you about these polls:

In the PPP poll, which has Obama up by 5% points, Dems are oversampled by 8%, 43-35 percent.
In the NBC/Marist Poll, which has Obama up by 6%, Dems are oversampled by 9%, 38-29 percent.
In the CNN poll,  Which has Obama up by 3%, the Democrats are oversampled by 11%.
Finally, in one of the more interesting polls, CBS/NYT/Quinnipiac has Obama up by 5% over Romney in the Battleground states of Florida, Ohio, and Virginia.  The breakdown for each state is as follows:

Party ID:               FL            OH          VA
GOP                      30            29             27
Dem                      37            37             35
Dem Over            +7%        +8%         +8%

In an even more telling statistic from the poll is this tidbit:

Voter enthusiasm in these three states breaks down along party line like this:

Voter Enthusiasm         FL           OH             VA
GOP                             63            57               56
DEM                            47            43               49
      Gap                             +16 (R)    +14(R)        +7 (R)

The numbers just don't bear out what the media is reporting.  The oversampling of Democrat voters is greater than the projected victory for Obama in every instance!  Combine this with the lack of enthusiasm among Democrats, as compared to their GOP counterparts,  and the numbers just don't  add up.  The reports have all of the signs of a sycophantic media actively trying to depress GOP voter enthusiasm and turnout.

Don't buy it.  Go out and vote no matter what the MSM is saying.

Florida: 70% Drop In Dem Early Voting From 2008

Posted by Brian
H/T Breitbart

Things are not looking good for 'the regime". Pretty much every poll shows Obama trailing Mitt Romney in early voting. Combine this with the fact that, statistically, Republicans turn out in far greater numbers on election day than Democrats, and you have the makings of a potential Romney landslide on November 6th.
Oh, that is is true.  The key is, that no matter what the polls or media say, get out and vote!

DEM EARLY VOTE LEAD IN FLORIDA DOWN 70% OVER 2008
by JOHN NOLTE  31 Oct 2012

There's all kinds of spin out there regarding early voters, especially from Team Obama and their allies in the CorruptMedia, but I don’t believe in tea leaves; I believe in numbers. Gallup provided numbers, and those numbers (with a huge 3,300 sample) show Romney winning early voters by a margin of 52-47%. And now we have hard numbers out of Florida showing Democrats well behind their early vote lead when compared to this time last year:

NYT Krugman: Re-Elect Obama Or We End Up Like Greece

Posted by Brian

The ferret-like Paul Krugman has poked his head out and once again we will have another four years of a depressed economy, at least if he has anything to say about it.
The famed Keynesian (Marxist) and Nobel Prize winning economist (if that doesn't tarnish the award, nothing will), proves yet again, that he is not a bright man.  Oh, he has the intonation (like Barack Obama) to demonstrate that he hangs out in the rarefied air of New York's elite circles, dazzling his hangers-on with his "deep" insight on all things economics to give the illusion that he is. But like Chauncey Gardiner from the Peter Sellers movie "Being There", it doesn't take a rocket scientist to determine that he is a simple man spouting even simpler hogwash. Yet, he is celebrated by liberal elitists, who see him as some wunderkind instead of the ignoramus he is.
He has the cajones to say that electing Romney will lead us down a path of destruction similar to Greece.  Yet, it is Obama who is doing the exact things economically that Greece has done to put itself in the fiscal dire straits it now finds itself in.  Krugman's advice?  Continue doing it, but even more!
Mr. Krugman, do us all a favor and crawl back down into whatever hole you climbed out of until after November 6th. Oh, and quit embarrassing yourself!

NYT ECONOMIST: IF WE DON’T RE-ELECT OBAMA, WE’LL END UP LIKE GREECE Posted on October 25, 2012 at 6:02pm by Becket Adams

Paul Krugman: Double-Dip Recession If Romney Wins

If America doesn’t re-elect President Barack Obama and former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney ends up winning in November, we had better prepare for some Greek-style economic ruin, thus saith left-leaning New York Times economist and noted Keynesian Paul Krugman.

“I think there’s a real chance that [Romney will] manage to pursue a policy in the first couple of years that simultaneously blows up the deficit and depresses the economy,” Krugman said during an interview on HuffPost Live Wednesday.

Former CIA chief: Romney’s right on Iran
POSTED AT 2:01 PM ON OCTOBER 24, 2012 BY ED MORRISSEY

How well did both candidates frame the biggest threats against the US during the final presidential debate, to the extent that they stuck to the debate topic of foreign policy?  Newsmax asked former CIA chief Michael Hayden (Video) whether Barack Obama was correct in identifying terrorist networks as our greatest threat, or Mitt Romney pointing to Iran and their pursuit of nuclear weapons.  Hayden gives the point to Romney — and says that Obama has been largely ineffective at stopping the mullah’s march to nuclear proliferation:

Left-Wing Falsely Reports Tagg Romney Has Ties With Voting Machine Company

Tagg Romney
The left-wing is getting desperate. They are left with attempting to throw the election on November 6th under a cloud of suspicion at every turn.  Whether "disenfranchised" voters, voter intimidation by poll watchers, calling in the UN to "monitor" the elections, or some other nefarious right-wing bogeyman, the left is in full panic mode.
Their latest attempt at alarmism is to falsely claim that Mitt Romney's son, Tagg, has investments in a company that makes voting machines used in the swing state of Ohio.
By the way, don't pay any attention to those boxes of ballots in the back of the polling station marked "Acorn".

Tagg Romney Is Not an 'Investor In a Voting Machine Company'
10:36 AM, OCT 23, 2012 BY MICHAEL WARREN

Several left-wing news outlets are reporting on a financial relationship between one of Mitt Romney's sons and a voting machine company--with some even implying that the relationship could lead to tampering with votes on Election Day to benefit the Republican. The only problem? There doesn't seem to be any evidence of any financial relationship between Romney's son, Tagg, and the company.

The Wage Gap Myth

Posted by Brian
H/T to Mark Levin and National Review Online

When Like Jobs Are Compared, The Gap Is Significantly Less Than the 28% Touted By Liberals
On Wednesday, Mark Levin spoke of the widely circulated belief, which has been perpetrated by the media and politicians, regarding the supposed inequality of pay between men and women. The common belief is that women in the workplace earn seventy-two cents for every dollar that a man makes.  The only problem: It's not true.  When apple are compared to apples, the gap is a mere five cents. But, that is not how the data is being analyzed by those whose goal is to create a political wedge issue between men and women. Women who hold the same positions, with the same hours, seniority, and other factors are compared, the wage gap becomes virtually non-existent. When the numbers get into the 1-4% range, factors such as types of college degrees, or breaks in service for things like child-rearing can become factors.
The President touts his passage of the Lilly Ledbetter Act as proof that he "cares" more about women than Romney, but the fact is, the Fair Pay Act, which mandates against wage discrimination, was in place long before Obama was President, and the Ledbetter Act is nothing more than a symbolic ruse with little to no effect on righting a mythological wrong.  In fact, only 35 cases have been brought to the courts under the Ledbetter Act since it was passed in 2009, or less than ten per year.  Does this sound like there is mass discrimination against women going on in this country?  These cases could have been brought to court even without the Ledbetter Act, under the Fair Pay Act.
Obama is counting on women to be so ill-informed that they fall for this straw-man argument, while ignoring the fact that more women have had to file for unemployment on his watch than at any time in recent memory. Over 780K more women are now unemployed than when Obama took office.  If Obama and the Democrats want to talk about the "War on Women" they need only look at how Obama's own policies have affected working women.
Ir there is any discrimination going on, it is in President Obama's White House, where it has been reported that women are paid "significantly" less than their male counterparts, with some figures running as high as an 18% pay gap.
Obama and the Dems don't give women enough credit for being able to see through their smokescreens. Women are more than capable and intelligent enough to walk and chew gum at the same time.  And they are certainly intelligent enough to know that their concerns encompass more than free condoms, a non-existent wage gap, and the Obama campaign's instruction to "Vote with their Lady-parts."

Obama and Romney on the Wage Gap
By Diana Furchtgott-Roth
October 17, 2012 1:12 A.M.

We hear it over and over again: the myth of the wage gap. In Tuesday’s presidential debate, Katherine Fenton asked President Obama what he intended to do about “women making only 72 percent of what their male counterparts earn.”

Just one problem: Women make about 95 percent of what their male counterparts earn, if the male counterparts are in the same job with the same experience.

"Highball" with Chris Matthews: Criticizing Obama is UnConstitutional and Racist!

Posted by Brian
Maybe his show should be "Highball with Chris Matthews"
Here we go again.  Chris Matthews pulling out the race card again.  Discussing the Presidential debates with James Lipton of "Inside the Actors Studio, Chris Matthews reached into his racist bag again to smear Mitt Romney. Saying that Mitt Romney "looked down upon the President", he then said "we can only imagine what that was based upon". Only a fool would believe that that was not a not-so-veiled attempt at calling Mitt Romney a racist. Of course, to Chris Matthews any criticism by a conservative is based on their inherent racism, and couldn't possibly be based on legitimate policy disagreements.  And of course, any challenge to the President is considered rude and based on racism.
Earlier in the interview, Chris and Mr. Lipton are seen wringing their hands at the incivility in politics, and Mitt Romney in particular, with Chris claiming that it's now "unconstitutional" to challenge the President!
I don't know what Chris Matthews was like when he was drinking (he's supposedly stopped), but if this is how his mind works when he's sober, he must have been a hoot to hang out with when he was closing the bar.

Proven Liar Stephanie Cutter Grilled By CNN On $5T Romney Tax Cut

Remember Stephanie Cutter lying to the American people about having "no knowledge" of the guy in the Obama Super-PAC ad claiming insinuating that Mitt Romney was responsible for the death of his wife? Well, she's back, in full facts-be-damned spin mode, with that annoyed smirk on her face.
CNN's Erin Burnett called out the truth-challenged Stephanie Cutter on the Obama campaign claims of a Mitt Romney $5 Trillion tax cut, saying that their fact-checkers show that the numbers don't add up.

Here's their exchange:

Erin Burnett: Stephanie, let me ask you about that. Because here at CNN, we fact checked that, that $5 trillion in tax cuts and we’ve come and said that’s not true. Mitt Romney has not promised that. because he’s also going to be closing loopholes and deductions. So his tax cut wouldn’t be anywhere near that size.
Stephanie Cutter: So you’re disputing the size of the tax cut? Or are you disputing also how he’s going to pay for it?
EB: We’re disputing the size.
SC: Erin, he has campaigned on lowering tax rates by 20% for everybody, including those in the top 1%. that was one of the main selling points in the Republican primary.
EB: So you’re saying if you lower them by 20% you get a $5 trillion tab, right?
SC: It’s a $5 trillion tab.
EB: But when he closes deductions he won’t be anywhere near $5 trillion. That’s our analysis.
SC: Well with, okay, stipulated, it won’t be near $5 trillion, but it’s also not going to be the sum of $5 trillion in the loopholes that he’s going to close.

I'm glad that there are finally some journalists who are finally calling the Obama campaign on some of the lies.  Yes, I know.  Both sides have been guilty of manipulating data throughout the years,  But the sheer number of lies that Obama and his people have been able to get away with has been staggering. From shovel-ready jobs,  to Libya, and now this, it appears that even some in the media may have had enough with cavalier attitude this Administration has when it comes to telling the truth.

One thing that Burnett does not challenge Cutter on is this myth that ALL tax cuts lead to reduced revenue to the government.  This has been one of the most misunderstood things regarding how tax rates work.  Lowering rates does not automatically equal less money coming into the government.  At least over the long term.  By the same token, raising rates does not equal long term increased revenue.  When rates are lowered, entrepreneurs start businesses, companies expand, and more people are hired in the private sector.  This influx of new jobs equates to more people paying taxes.  Even at lower rates, when more people are paying into the system, tax revenues to the government increase.  This explains how Reagan was able to lower tax rates from nearly over 70% down to 28%, which resulted in tax revenues to the government doubling. As Cutter so smugly says: "It simple math".

Kudo's to Erin Burnett and CNN for finally starting to step up to the plate and finally call Obama and his team on some of the crap they have been getting away with.  We know that the freak show over at MSNBC won't.

Regardless Of Outcomes, Media Will Spin Debates As Wins For Obama

Posted by Brian

Media Bias To Kick Into Overdrive After Debates

With the first Presidential debate one day away, polls show Mitt Romney and Barack Obama in a statistical dead heat with voters.  At this time, the Presidential race is really down to about 15% of the undecided voters, and those who say that they are still able to be swayed.  It's time for the cavalry to mount up and come to the rescue - the cavalry of course, being the mainstream media. The media are already lowering expectations for Obama, so any decent showing will be declared an Obama success.  Thus, a "win".
If Romney tanks in the debates, it will make it easy for them.  Simply play Romney gaffes on a continuous loop for the next week of so.
However, if Romney does clean Obama's clock, or if the debate is considered close, the mainstream media will kick into high gear, praising Obama's parrying of Romney's points with the mastery of a seasoned politician, while lamenting Romney's performance, calling it 'a missed opportunity with only a few short weeks to right his sinking campaign'.
Even though polls show Romney surging, the MSM will continue with its meme of a troubled Romney campaign, while praising an Obama campaign that, even with highly skewed coverage in his favor, has been feckless in gaining any real traction with voters that is sustainable.
What this really is, is the MSM's last push to get Obama over the finish line. It happened 2000, and again in 2004, as media "analysis" was that both Gore and Kerry had clean sweeps of their debates with Bush.  Though Bush won both elections, the races might have been tighter than they should have been, thanks to wall-to-wall negative coverage of Bush, and sycophantic praise of both Gore and Kerry.
A strong, confident performance by Romney will make it more difficult for them, but so-called non-partisan journalists like 'Pretty Boy' George Stephanopoulos will declare victory for Obama, as he has for every Democrat since joining ABC in 1997.  His analysis was so skewed in the first Bush/Gore debate that it was laughable.  SNL even did a parody of Gore's performance, in which he audibly sighed, and rolled his eyes continuously, and spoke of his famous "lock box" during the debate. No matter, it was a clear Gore win in the eyes of 'Stephie'.
The sad thing, is that there are voters who, even though they come away from the debates with their own opinion of who won or lost the debate, are quickly swayed by the media's 'analysis', which in most cases favors Democrats.

ABC's Stephanopoulos Leads Post-Debate Media Spin for Democrats
By Rich Noyes | October 02, 2012 | 08:50

Leading into tomorrow’s presidential debate, journalists are busy setting expectations for the candidates. On Sunday’s Good Morning America, ABC’s George Stephanopoulos argued that Mitt Romney is under “huge, huge” pressure: “He is behind right now. He is behind nationally, he’s behind in all of the battleground states. This is the last big audience that Mitt Romney is going to have with about four and a half weeks left to go.”
But more undecided voters will be swayed by the media’s post-debate spin about who won and who lost than by any pre-debate expectations. Reviewing the last several campaigns, MRC analysts have found a clear trend of network reporters fawning over the performance of liberal candidates, while harping on any perceived weaknesses or gaffes from conservatives.

Romney 2011Tax Return: Paid 14.1% In Taxes, 29% Of Income To Charity

All of the run up to this, with the Democrats and the media trying to turn this election into how much Mitt Romney pays in taxes is asinine.  And a distraction from the real issues facing our country.

Unemployment is still sky high, Total workforce participation is at an all time low, more people giving up looking for a job than are finding one.  Our foreign policy is in shambles. The Middle East and Islamic countries are on fire, the result of a failed foreign policy and a President seen as weak and feckless (sorry libs, but it's not about a movie). Iran is ready to go nuclear, and Israel is preparing to go it alone, as Obama makes it clear that he is not an ally of Benyamin Netanyahu and Israel, even if the vast majority of Americans are.

Yet, the media is concerned with how much Mitt Romney pays in taxes. Well, we now have the answer.  A lot. Seven figures. Three times what Obama pays.  "But, but, Mitt Romney only pays 14.1 percent in taxes and Obama payed 20percent!"  I guess Romney has better accountants than Barack Obama. OR, maybe its because he gave over $4 million to charity, thus lowering his taxable income!  It must be that he trusts himself with where his money is spent than the Federal government.  One other little side note: Romney didn't even clam all of his charitable deductions! Thus, his taxable percentage was even higher than it could have been.  In other words, he voluntarily payed even more than he was required to. Stick that in your pipe and smoke it, Harry Reid! By the way Harry, You owe Mitt Romney a public apology.  I won't hold my breath. It's already proven that you have no honor.

Since the Dems are so concerned with  Romney paying his "fair share", let's take a look at good old Joe Biden (video below), who said of the "wealthy" in regard to taxes and being greedy:

"Time to be Patriotic. Time jump in. Time to be a part of the deal."

Well, since Joe is so generous with other people's money, how generous is he with his own?
From 1998-2007, generous Joe gave an average of $369, or .3% a year to charity. His generosity is stunning. Most military men and women give more to through Combined Federal Campaign charity drives each year.  And trust me, they make nowhere near what a Congressman makes.  Since becoming Vice President though,  Jumpin' Joe has upped his charitable donations to over $5000, or 1.46% of his income. Wow, Joe! Looks like you need to jump in, and be part of the game, because right now you are barely getting your toe wet.

The fact is, I am just glad that this is out of the way. It's just an annoyance.  Of course the media is going to point out the Obama payed 20%, but that is easily parried.  Truth is, most Americans don't really care about this issue.

It just good to point out the Dems hypocrisy, and to see Harry Reid choke on his own lie about Romney not paying taxes.

Mitt Romney has donated nearly 13.5 percent of his income to charity over the last 20 years, according to a statement from his accountants at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Despite Media Love Fest, Obama DNC Bounce Evaporates

Posted by Brian
With a 6-point convention bounce for Obama, Democrats and the media were calling the election over What started as a thrill up their collective legs has now turned into a trickle down the crack of their ass. Romney is surging and polls show him ahead in key battleground states.

Even as the media brazenly advocates for an Obama second term, the American people aren't buying it. The people bought into Obama's promise of "Hope & Change" in 2008.  In 2012, we just want a change in leadership.

THRILL IS GONE: OBAMA LOSES CONVENTION, MEDIA BOUNCE
by MIKE FLYNN  18 Sep 2012

This afternoon, Gallup reported its latest presidential tracking poll, finding Obama's lead had slipped again. Today, he leads Romney, among registered voters, by 1 point, 47-46. This is the same level of support he had before the Democrat convention. More importantly though, it represents a 6-point swing in Obama's support in one week. Last week he led by 7 points. Clearly, the media will tell us this is trouble for Romney.
