Red China Rising: "The Rabbit Has Landed" [Video]

China makes 'giant leap' with Jade Rabbit moon rover landing

Beijing (AFP) - China's Jade Rabbit rover vehicle drove onto the moon's surface on Sunday after the first lunar soft landing in nearly four decades, a huge advance in the country's ambitious space programme.

The Yutu, or Jade Rabbit, was deployed at 4:35 am (2035 GMT Saturday), several hours after the Chang'e-3 probe landed on the moon, said the official news agency Xinhua.

Both the rover and lander are expected to take photos of each other later Sunday, it said.

China is the third country to complete a lunar rover mission after the United States and the then-Soviet Union -- a decade after it first sent an astronaut into space.

It plans to establish a permanent space station by 2020 and eventually send a human to the moon.

The mission is seen as a symbol of China's rising global stature and technological advancement, as well as the Communist Party's success in reversing the fortunes of the once-impoverished nation.

Romney Was Right! Jeeps WILL Be Built In China

Posted by Brian
PolitiFact, which bills itself as nonpartisan, has been exposed on yet another untruth against a Republican. Back during the 2012 campaign, Mitt Romney stated that Fiat would be building Jeeps in China and was quickly criticized for lying.  PolitiFact even went so far as to give it "Lie of the Year".
It turns out Romney was correct, and PolitiFact was lying. Apparently this is not the first time that PolitiFact has been discredited for its "fact-checking" against Republicans.
If you're relying on PolitiFact to get the truth, you may want to get a fact checker to check the fact checkers over at PolitiFact.

REUTERS DEBUNKS POLITIFACT; FIAT WILL BUILD JEEPS IN CHINA
by TONY LEE  14 Jan 2013, 3:02 AM PDT

On Sunday, Reuters reported Fiat and Chrysler, which Fiat owns, are on the verge of signing an agreement to produce Jeeps in China, and they may make the announcement as early as Monday at the Detroit Auto Show:

Italian carmaker Fiat and its U.S. unit Chrysler are set to sign a new agreement with Guangzhou Automobile Group Co to produce the Jeep vehicle for the Chinese market, Il Corriere della Sera said on Sunday.

In an unsourced article, the Corriere said the head of Fiat and Chrysler Sergio Marchionne could announce the agreement at the Detroit auto show, which kicks off on Monday.

Under the agreement, off-road vehicles under the Jeep brand will be produced at GAC's Canton factory, the paper said.

Obama Renews Nuke Scientist Exchange with China

Posted by Brian
Program that resulted in one of the worst cases of nuclear espionage during the Clinton Administration being renewed.

NUKE SCIENTIST
EXCHANGE PLANNED
Deputy Energy Secretary Daniel B. Poneman is working on a major Obama administration initiative that would renew scientist exchanges between U.S. nuclear weapons laboratories and Chinese nuclear facilities.
The idea is aimed at promoting openness and transparency by China’s military about its secret, large-scale buildup of nuclear weapons, according to U.S. officials.
Critics say the plan is similar to an exchange program in the 1990s that sent U.S. nuclear scientists to China and produced one of the worst cases of nuclear espionage. Secrets about every deployed warhead in the U.S. arsenal were compromised, including the W-88 small nuclear warhead deployed on submarine-launched missiles.

Former SEIU Chief Praises China's "Superior Economic Model"

Posted by Brian

Former Union Chief Andy Stern Praises Crony Communism

Economic Systems: The former head of the Service Employees International Union says capitalism is on the ash heap of history and sees China as our role model. We have seen his future, however, and it doesn't work.
President Obama once reportedly told aides, according to the New York Times, that things would be easier if he were president of China. Presumably he meant there would be no pesky things like a Congress, free elections and a free press to deal with.
Former SEIU chief Andy Stern, who may still hold the record for visits to the White House under this administration, would agree with that assessment. Stern, in an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal, writes of China's "superior economic model," a command-and-control economy unimpeded by such anachronisms as democracy and a truly free market. Stern writes that the "conservative-preferred free-market fundamentalist shareholder-only model" of capitalism "is being thrown onto the trash heap of history in the 21st century."

Does V.P. Joe Biden Support Forced Abortions?

While El Presidente Obama is hanging in the Hamptons, Joe Biden has gone to China to...well, nobody knows what the hell he's doing there, but he's there. And it hasn't taken him long to let the Chinese know what we here in the U.S. have known for at least a decade - he's a loudmouthed blowhard who can't keep both feet out of his mouth.  If the purpose of his trip is to embolden the ChiComs to put a full court press on the Obama administration on all fronts, then I guess his trip is going to be a total suuccess.
What did Biden say? Biden: “Your policy has been one which I fully understand — I’m not second-guessing — of one child per family."
Fully understands? Fully understands what?  Forced abortions? Forced sterilizations? Fines and jail for those who don't comply, or for those who help hide them?
What other regime practiced eugenics on this level?  The Nazis!
Here Biden is put into a position (Vice President) that historically is pretty innocuous. It's mostly a place holder in case the President is incapacitated. No real duties. Joe Biden is not even qualified to do that.

Biden to China: “Not Second-Guessing” One-Child Policy

by Steven Ertelt Beijing, China  LifeNews.com  8/22/11 1:05 PM

Vice-President Joe Biden is in China to attempt to revive the financial image of the United States after a first-ever downgrade in its financial rating. In attempting to explain some of the financial concerns the U.S. faces, Biden failed to criticize China’s one-child policy.

Shamed: Communist China Tells U.S. To Be Financially Responsible

Posted by Brian
While Democrats and RINO Republicans blame the Tea Party for "holding the country hostage", and "acting like terrorists" during the debt ceiling debacle, China and Russia are blasting Washington for NOT doing what the Tea Party and millions of other Americans begged them to do - cut spending and get the budget under control.  Embarrassing.

Communist China Urges U.S. to Handle Debt Responsibly

Wednesday, August 03, 2011
By JOE McDONALD , Associated Press

BEIJING (AP) - China's central bank governor urged Washington to handle its debt responsibly, warning Wednesday that uncertainty in the market for Treasury debt might harm a global economic recovery.

China is the biggest foreign owner of Treasury debt and had appealed to U.S. leaders to protect its $1.1 billion in holdings during last week's debate over raising Washington's borrowing limit and avoiding a possible default
