Warren Buffet: Hiking Taxes On Rich Will Raise "Morale" Of Middle Class
Posted by Brian
Billionaire Warren Buffet made , at least in my opinion, one of the most insulting statements I have heard uttered, by a supposedly smart person, in a long time. Saying that hiking taxes on the rich "would have a great effect in terms of the morale of the middle class", demonstrates in a single statement how liberals view most people. Notice that he doesn't propose any real ideas on the kinds of things that would turn the economy around, or that would create jobs. No, he proposes a placebo which, though it does nothing to actually change their, or the country's current fiscal situation, makes them "feel better", by thinking that we're "sticking it to the rich".
While saying that the rich don't pay enough in taxes, Buffet is fighting tooth and nail to keep from paying $1B back taxes that he owes to the IRS. I guess $44B in personal wealth isn't enough for the mega-rich CEO.
Warren Buffet and his ilk look at average Americans as mindless idiots, and this statement proves it.

Romney 2011Tax Return: Paid 14.1% In Taxes, 29% Of Income To Charity
Posted by Brian
Well, the big day is here! Mitt Romney has released his tax return for 2011! And...I could care less.
All of the run up to this, with the Democrats and the media trying to turn this election into how much Mitt Romney pays in taxes is asinine. And a distraction from the real issues facing our country.
Unemployment is still sky high, Total workforce participation is at an all time low, more people giving up looking for a job than are finding one. Our foreign policy is in shambles. The Middle East and Islamic countries are on fire, the result of a failed foreign policy and a President seen as weak and feckless (sorry libs, but it's not about a movie). Iran is ready to go nuclear, and Israel is preparing to go it alone, as Obama makes it clear that he is not an ally of Benyamin Netanyahu and Israel, even if the vast majority of Americans are.
Yet, the media is concerned with how much Mitt Romney pays in taxes. Well, we now have the answer. A lot. Seven figures. Three times what Obama pays. "But, but, Mitt Romney only pays 14.1 percent in taxes and Obama payed 20percent!" I guess Romney has better accountants than Barack Obama. OR, maybe its because he gave over $4 million to charity, thus lowering his taxable income! It must be that he trusts himself with where his money is spent than the Federal government. One other little side note: Romney didn't even clam all of his charitable deductions! Thus, his taxable percentage was even higher than it could have been. In other words, he voluntarily payed even more than he was required to. Stick that in your pipe and smoke it, Harry Reid! By the way Harry, You owe Mitt Romney a public apology. I won't hold my breath. It's already proven that you have no honor.
Since the Dems are so concerned with Romney paying his "fair share", let's take a look at good old Joe Biden (video below), who said of the "wealthy" in regard to taxes and being greedy:
Well, since Joe is so generous with other people's money, how generous is he with his own?
From 1998-2007, generous Joe gave an average of $369, or .3% a year to charity. His generosity is stunning. Most military men and women give more to through Combined Federal Campaign charity drives each year. And trust me, they make nowhere near what a Congressman makes. Since becoming Vice President though, Jumpin' Joe has upped his charitable donations to over $5000, or 1.46% of his income. Wow, Joe! Looks like you need to jump in, and be part of the game, because right now you are barely getting your toe wet.
The fact is, I am just glad that this is out of the way. It's just an annoyance. Of course the media is going to point out the Obama payed 20%, but that is easily parried. Truth is, most Americans don't really care about this issue.
It just good to point out the Dems hypocrisy, and to see Harry Reid choke on his own lie about Romney not paying taxes.
Tax records: Romney donated 29 percent of income to charity in 2011

Mitt Romney has donated nearly 13.5 percent of his income to charity over the last 20 years, according to a statement from his accountants at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Those charitable gifts reached 29 percent of his income in 2011 when he donated $4 million out of his $13.7 million income, according to a Sept. 21 statement describing the Romney’s 2011 tax returns.

Dem Food Nazi's Taking Case National With Soda Tax

H/T Breitbart
What the hell is up with these Dems in the Northeast? Restrictions on salt, trans-fats, baby formula, Big Gulps, etc. Now they want to take their fascism nationwide with a national tax on sodas?! Screw her and the Bloomturd she rode in on! Where does this friggin' stop? I'll tell you - IT DOESN'T. This little Hitler's get an inch, and they want to push across the Rhine and start taxing everything! And this is before ObamaCare is even fully implemented. Wait until that happens! With "preventative" health measures, nothing will be off the table to these miscreants!!
Take a good look at this woman (it is a woman, right?). RosaDelauro looks like she could stand to drink a few sodas... along with eating a couple of dozen cheeseburgers, and a box of donuts. Or, if red meat is too heavy, I hear Chick-Fil-A has great sandwiches, and their peach shake is to die for! That is, unless she's trying to go for the 'A Nightmare Before Christmas' look.
DeLauro, Bloomturd, and the rest of these food Nazis need to leave our food alone.

Special Report: Tax time pushes some Americans to take a hike
(Reuters) - A year ago, in Action Comics, Superman declared plans to renounce his U.S. citizenship.
"'Truth, justice, and the American way' - it's not enough anymore," the comic book superhero said, after both the Iranian and American governments criticized him for joining a peaceful anti-government protest in Tehran.
Last year, almost 1,800 people followed Superman's lead, renouncing their U.S. citizenship or handing in their Green Cards. That's a record number since the Internal Revenue Service began publishing a list of those who renounced in 1998. It's also almost eight times more than the number of citizens who renounced in 2008, and more than the total for 2007, 2008 and 2009 combined

Gas Prices Up 83% Under Obama

Obama 2008 - "Under my plan of Cap and Trade, [energy] prices will necessarily skyrocket."
A moratorium on drilling in the Gulf of Mexico (Obama). Continued obstruction of drilling in ANWR (Radical environmentalists). Blocking construction of the Keystone XL pipeline (Obama). No new refineries in over 30 years (EPA). Any questions?
Obama Cites Rising Gas Prices – Up 83 Percent Under His Tenure – Among Reasons to Extend Payroll Tax Cut
By Fred Lucas February 14, 2012
(CNSNews.com) – President Barack Obama listed rising gas prices as among the many reasons to extend the payroll tax cut Tuesday, flanked by individuals the White House promoted as being affected by $40 per paycheck the average American would lose if the tax cut is not extended at the end of February.
The payroll tax funds Social Security. Cutting the tax would reduce funding to Social Security by $119 billion over the next year, on top of the $105 billion reduced from funding in 2011.
While Republican lawmakers have expressed plans to vote for a full-year extension to the tax cut, Obama told his audience Tuesday at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building in Washington that they must put pressure on Congress.

The Mind Of A Statist: Not Raising Taxes Equals More Government Spending

"Society as a whole is more and more splitting into two great hostile camps, into two great classes directly facing each other: Bourgeoisie and Proletariat"
"...the theory of the Communists may be summed up in the single sentence: Abolition of private property"
Karl Marx - The Communist Manifesto
This is how a statists' mind works. The fruits of your labors, what you EARNED, is really not yours. It belongs to Barack Obama and the Federal Government. They, who have nothing to do with creating wealth, tell you that your labors belong to them. This is not to say that there should be no taxes. The government needs money to operate, and to perform those things which are spelled out in the Constitution. But he is not talking about what it takes to operate the government, he is talking about confiscating huge amounts of wealth from the producers to fund a leviathan that now operates way outside what is constitutionally mandated. This is about the government inserting itself into every aspect of your life: what light bulbs you can use, how much water is used to flush your toilet, how much salt restaurants can use, to what food you can send your child to school with. For homeowners: Do you really believe you OWN your home? Try not paying property taxes and see how long it remains yours. You can pay off your mortgage, but the property tax is forever.
This is what a soft tyranny looks like, and Barack Obama speaks and uses the words of every other dictator in history. No, he is not a dictator. But he is using the same terms, phrases, and arguments as other dictators. He is pitting rich against poor, race against race, and special interest groups against special interest groups. He uses the language of Marxism and collectivism, dividing us into groups and classes.
Tyranny is here. How far we let it go is up to us.
Obama: Not Raising Taxes Is a Form of Government Spending
By Fred Lucas February 13, 2012
(CNSNews.com) – Announcing his budget plans for fiscal year 2013 in an address at Northern Virginia Community College in Annandale, Va., President Barack Obama characterized the current income tax rates--signed into law by President Bush a decade ago--as a form of government spending.
Essentially, the president said that the federal government "spends" when it does not raise taxes.
“Right now, we’re scheduled to spend more than $1 trillion more on what was intended to be a temporary tax cut for the wealthiest two percent of Americans,” Obama said. “We’ve already spent about that much. Now we’re expected to spend another $1 trillion. Keep in mind, a quarter of all millionaires pay lower tax rates than millions of middle class households. You’ve heard me say it: Warren Buffett pays a lower tax rate than his secretary.”

Laffer: Gingrich Flat Tax Plan "Significantly Better" Than Romney's

Why Gingrich's Tax Plan Beats Romney's
Newt's flat tax would do a lot more to attract capital, spur growth and reduce compliance costs.
By ARTHUR B. LAFFER
If we judge both leading contenders in the Republican primary, Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney, by what they've done in life and by what they propose to do if elected, either one could be an excellent president. But when it comes to the election's core issue—restoring a healthy economy—the key is a good tax plan and the ability to implement it.
Mr. Gingrich has a significantly better plan than does Mr. Romney, and he has twice before been instrumental in implementing a successful tax plan on a national level—once when he served in Congress as a Reagan supporter in the 1980s and again when he was President Clinton's partner as speaker of the House of Representatives in the 1990s. During both of these periods the economy prospered incredibly—in good part because of Mr. Gingrich.
Jobs and wealth are created by those who are taxed, not by those who do the taxing. Government, by its very nature, doesn't create resources but redistributes resources. To minimize the damages taxes cause the economy, the best way for government to raise revenue is a broad-based, low-rate flat tax that provides people and businesses with the fewest incentives to avoid or otherwise not report taxable income, and the least number of places where they can escape taxation. On these counts it doesn't get any better than Mr. Gingrich's optional 15% flat tax for individuals and his 12.5% flat tax for business. Each of these taxes has been tried and tested and found to be enormously successful.

At the same time, according to CBO, the economy will remain sluggish, partly because of higher taxes.

Raising Capital Gains Tax Would Mean Exodus Of Investment From US
Posted by Brian
So easy, even a Neanderthal can read it. The capital gains rate goes up, revenues go down. Capitals gains rates go down, revenues increase.
The Buffett Ruse
Obama's ploy means the highest capital gains tax rate since 1978
Remember the moment in 2008 when Charlie Gibson of ABC News asked Senator Barack Obama why he would support raising the capital gains tax even though "revenues from the tax increased" when the rate fell? Mr. Obama's famous reply: "I would look at raising the capital gains tax for purposes of fairness." Well, we were warned.
Here we are four years later, and President Obama on Tuesday night linked the term "fair" to U.S. tax and economic policy seven times. The U.S. economy is still hobbling out of recession, real family incomes are falling and 14 million Americans are unemployed, but Mr. Obama declared that his top priority is not to reform the tax code to promote growth and job creation. His overriding goal is redistributing income.

Great news: The “fair share” administration owes over $800,000 in back taxes
POSTED AT 9:50 AM ON JANUARY 26, 2012 BY ED MORRISSEY
We heard a lot on Tuesday night from President Obama about the wealthy paying their “fair share” in his State of the Union speech. (Well, you heard it a lot; I read the speech and then commenced to have a life on Tuesday night.) Obama made half a dozen references to fairness in relation to taxes in the address, including taking a shot at Congress:
But in return, we need to change our tax code so that people like me, and an awful lot of members of Congress, pay our fair share of taxes.
Just like with charity, perhaps fairness should start at home:

Greed? Hypocrisy? Romney Gives 15% To Charity, Obama 1%, Biden $369 or .3%
Posted by Brian
This is perfect illustration of those hypocritical politicians saying that we all have to give more of our hard earned dollars to those less fortunate. Or as Joe Biden says, "Time to jump in. Time to be part of the deal". It seems that Mitt Romney has jumped in, to the tune of $7 million over 2 years. Obama and Biden only want to take your money and give it to someone else.
WHO'S GREEDY? Obama Gave 1% to Charity, Romney Gave 15%
Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama and his wife Michelle gave $10,772 of the $1.2 million they earned from 2000 through 2004 to charities, or less than 1 percent, according to tax returns for those years released today by his campaign.

Mitt Romney gave millions to charity. Joe Biden gave $369.
I'm really struggling to work out what all the fuss is about over this one. It seems to me to be much ado about nothing. Breaking news: Mitt Romney is very rich. He also gave millions and millions of dollars to charity and to the taxman.
In the early hours of this morning, some 550 pages of Mitt Romney's tax returns and a 2011 tax summary were released by his campaign. Just after dawn, there was a long campaign conference call for bleary-eyed reporters in which an accountant (who sounded exactly like you'd imagine Mitt Romney's accountant would sound) went into details of Mitt millions in mind-numbing detail.
There was an air of grumpy efficency about the call, which was led by Ben Ginsberg, who was George W. Bush's lawyer during the Florida election recount in 2000. At one point Ginsberg noted that 26 people from Chicago were listening into the proceedings, a reference to the Obama campaign headquarters.
Romney's Tax Return: Nearly All "Income" From Capital Gains, Donates 15% To Charity
Posted by Brian
Mitt Romney's tax returns for 2009-2010 show that virtually all of his "income" came from investments and are legally taxed at the 15% rate required for capital gains. In addition, his returns show that he gave $7 million to charity, and paid nearly another $7 million in federal taxes. Leftists in the media will of course point out that this shows he is "out-of touch" with the middle class. I can't wait to hear Diane Sawyer's report on this, complete with her obligatory "Wow!", to show her shock at Romney's unapologetic attitude toward his wealth. By the way, Diane Sawyer is worth $40 million. Or of Brian Williams, who is worth $35 million. Or Matt Lauer ($20 Million). Remember the fuss made about how wealthy John Kerry was ($186.6 million), and what his effective tax rate was when he ran against George Bush in 2004? Or that he decided to dock his $7M dollar yacht in Rhode Island to avoid taxes in Massachussetts?
Now that this has been released, let's put this to rest. It's a non-issue. We already know that the Democrats are going to use this as a class-warfare issue. Republicans need to quit beating this dead horse and get back to debating the issues.
None came from wages, the primary source of income for most Americans. Instead, Romney and his wife, Ann, collected millions in capital gains from a profusion of investments, as well as stock dividends and interest payments.

Weak House GOP: Balanced Budget Amendment, No Cap On Spending
Posted by Brian
Are the leaders of the House GOP politically suicidal? John Boehner, Eric Cantor and the rest of the buffoons seem bent on handing the 2012 elections to the Democrats. Not that GOP and so-called independent voters will vote Democrat, but that many of those voters will be so disgusted or depressed that they will stay home.
The latest foray into self-destruction is the latest version of a "Balanced" Budget Amendment being put forth by the House GOP. The Amendment allows those in Washington to spend however the hell much they want, and removes the two-thirds supermajority vote to raise taxes. They have handed Obama and the Democrats a gift with this crap. Already the White House is coming out in opposition, knowing it will play well with the media, and hurt the GOP. Dunces!
It is supposedly a means to get spending under control, but it will only lead this, and future Congresses, to spend as much as they want, and raise taxes in order to bring the budget into balance. But what if they cut spending? Not going to happen. When was the last time the Government actually made any real cuts? When government says they are cutting spending, it is always a decrease in the amount of money they have already projected they would spend - what they call baseline budgeting. They never really cut any spending - only a decrease in the projected increase.
To my conservative friends around the country: We need to primary as many of these "establishment" turncoats as possible, and get rid of the weepy Boehner, spineless Cantor, as many of their minions as possible, and put new "conservative" leadership into the GOP House and Senate. We have the numbers in Congress. Now we need cojones.

GOP House Will Vote on Balanced Budget Amendment That Permits Unlimited Federal Spending
By Matt Cover
November 15, 2011
(CNSNews.com) – House Republicans are set to vote later this week on a balanced budget amendment (BBA) that would not cap federal spending as a percentage of GDP or require a supermajority to raise taxes.
Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) said the vote would probably take place this Friday.
Cantor said that this version of a BBA, H.J. Res 2 -- rather than one that would cap federal spending, H.J. Res 1 -- was the version “overwhelmingly” favored by House Republicans.

Hypocrite, Obama Shill Warren Buffet's Company Owes Taxes Back To 2002
Posted by Brian
Even as he calls on the rich to pay higher taxes and pay their "fair share", billionaire Warren Buffet uses tax laws to pay the lowest tax rate he can, and apparently has underpaid or failed to pay other taxes at all, dating back to 2002. For all his pontificating, Buffett apparently likes to keep as much of the money he and his companies have earned, just as much as the next guy.

This one’s truly, uh ... rich: Billionaire Warren Buffett says folks like him should have to pay more taxes -- but it turns out his firm, Berkshire Hathaway, hasn’t paid what it’s already owed for years.
That’s right: As Americans for Limited Government President Bill Wilson notes, the company openly admits that it owes back taxes since as long ago as 2002.
“We anticipate that we will resolve all adjustments proposed by the US Internal Revenue Service (“IRS”) for the 2002 through 2004 tax years ... within the next 12 months,” the firm’s annual report says.

Shock!! Every Dem On Deficit Reduction Panel Score 'F' From Taxpayer's Union
Posted by Brian
As if to poke a stick in the eye of the American taxpayer, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid named arguably the biggest tax and spend liberals in Congress to the new Deficit Reduction Panel, including John "I served in Vietnam" Kerry. The Boehner and McConnell appointees don't realyy thrill me. Kyl has been wishy-washy of late, and Toomey doesn't give me a warm fuzzy either. Jim Demint and Allen West, and a few of the 24 who held their ground, under incredible pressure from the leadership, would have made me much more confident in the outcome.
All 6 Democrats on Deficit-Reduction Panel Earned 'F's From Taxpayers’ Union

(CNSNews.com) - All six Democrats that have been assigned to the special joint congressional committee that will recommend means for cutting the nation’s anticipated spending by $1.5 trillion over the next ten years compiled voting records last year that earned them grades of “F” from the National Taxpayers Union (NTU).
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (Calif.) announced today that she has assigned Assistant Democratic Leader James E. Clyburn (S.C.), Democratic Caucus Vice Chairman Xavier Becerra (Calif.) and Budget Committee Ranking Member Chris Van Hollen (Md.) to serve on the panel. Previously, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid had named Sen. Patty Murray (Wash.), Sen. John Kerry (Mass.) and Senate Finance Chairman Max Baucus (Mont.) to serve on the committee.

Sen. Reid - Bend Over, Here It Comes Again
Reid: Joint Committee Must Include Taxes Or Trigger Will Kick In
This troll would have all of us out of work and dependent on the government. Apparently, there is nothing that Congress can find to cut from a $1.6 trillion deficit. If this jerk thinks that 2010 was a watershed election, he hasn't seen pissed off. This goes for jerks like McCain, Snowe, Collins, et al, in the Republican Party as well. There is not a single argument that can be made that will convince me that there are not HUGE cuts that can be made in the federal budget without raising taxes. And notice, these gutless wonders rarely even use the words "raise taxes" anymore. They are now called "revenue enhancements". They don't have cojones to say it because they know that the voters will go ballistic. Cover it up with some benign sounding term. One which doesn't cause ones ears to perk up and start paying attention.
Reid is talking about new taxes, but this is only the beginning. Wait until 2013, when Obama's Health Care really kicks in, and all of the taxes that are going to be triggered by that monstrosity.
If these jerks are not kicked out in 2012, Democrats and liberal Republicans alike, and replaced by fiscal conservatives, who are constitutionally sound in to their core, we are screwed.

The 'Gang of Six' Is Back, & They Want $1 Trillion!
| Coburn and Obama |
The 'Gang of Six', led by Senator Tom Coburn, is in the process of screwing the taxpayers and GOP once again. Coburn, who is quick to point out his conservative bonafides, has been less so since the election of Barack Obama. It makes you wonder what Obama has on him, or maybe worse, what he has offered him. The bottom line is that he has become part of the Beltway elite, caught up in the D.C. machinery, and is a shadow of his previous constitutionally-grounded self. His sudden newfound friendship with Barack Obama in 2009 has had a profound effect on him, as he has at times been an apologist for the President, and it appears is carrying the water for Obama in this deal. Obama is not happy about this deal because the Republicans are getting a good deal out of this. Et tu, Tom?
Here are just a few of the stories over the last few years regarding Tom Coburn and President Obama:

Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, Tom Coburn says that this his last term, so we won't get the chance to "Primary" his butt. Do remember whatever Republicans jump ship and lets clean house of both Democrats and the multitude of RINO's who are still taking this country down.

Huge deficit-cutting bill races through Republican House; bipartisan effort picks up support
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Defying a veto threat, the Republican-controlled House voted Tuesday night to slice federal spending by $6 trillion and require a constitutional balanced budget amendment to be sent to the states in exchange for averting a threatened Aug. 2 government default.
The 234-190 vote marked the power of deeply conservative first-term Republicans, and it stood in contrast to calls at the White House and in the Senate for a late stab at bipartisanship to solve the nation's looming debt crisis.
President Barack Obama and a startling number of Republican senators lauded a deficit-reduction plan put forward earlier in the day by a bipartisan "Gang of Six" lawmakers that calls for $1 trillion in what sponsors delicately called "additional revenue" and some critics swiftly labeled as higher taxes.
