Tax Freedom Day 2013 Five Days Later Than 2012

Posted by Brian
It's going to take you five more days this year before the government "allows" you to keep the fruits of you labor. Just kidding!  The money you earn is never really yours to begin with, as Nancy Pelosi so ineloquently told all of us back in March of this year.

Tax Freedom Day 2013 is April 18 -- Five Days Later than Last Year
April 2, 2013 By Michael James

(CNSNews.com) - April 18 will be Tax Freedom Day, the day when Americans have worked enough to pay all of their federal and state taxes for 2013 – a round total of $4.22 trillion, according to an analysis done by the Tax Foundation.

That's five days later than in 2012.

Americans will pay more than $2.76 trillion in federal taxes and $1.45 trillion in state taxes for 2013 -- for a total of $4.22 trillion in taxes, or 29.4 percent of income. (Figures are rounded.)

April 18 is the 108th day of the year, or 29.4 percent of the calendar year.

Feinstein in 1995: Disarm ALL Americans

Posted by Brian

Feinstein: "Turn 'em all in."
In a 1995 interview, Sen. Diane Feinstein stated that her goal with the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban was to disarm all Americans.

“If I could have gotten 51 votes in the Senate of the United States, for an outright ban, picking up every one of them… 'Mr. and Mrs. America, turn ‘em all in'. I would have done it. I could not do that. The votes weren't here.”

Still think that gun owners claims are hysterical ranting against "common sense" gun laws?  Well, here is proof-positive that these people's goal is to disarm the American people.

Of course Diane Feinstein doesn't hold herself to those same restrictions that she wants to put on everyone else.  In 1995, Senator Feinstein admitted to carrying a concealed weapon, saying "I made the determination that if someone was going to try to take me out, I was going to take them with me".

Funny how she doesn't feel that every other American should have the right to make the same decision she made. Hypocrite!

WH Makes Benghazi Docs Available For 2 Days...When Senators Are Out Of Town

Posted by Brian

The Benghazi story is not going away because the election is over.  Four Americans are dead!
In their continuing contempt for the American people and the ongoing lack of transparency from the Obama Administration, the White House has agreed to release documents regarding the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, where four Americans were killed by Al Qaeda terrorists on September 11th, 2012.  However, they are only making them available for two days, which coincidentally happen to be when most Senators are out of town.

Obama's supporters may find this amusing, and I'm sure that those in the White House are having a good laugh at their "cleverness" in this cat-and-mouse game that Obama and his administration are playing with Congress, but the facts are these:

Four Americans are dead.
The White House AND the State Department were warned ahead of time that Al Qaeda were assembling forces for an attack.
Beefed up security was requested several times prior to the attack, and was denied.
The attack was watched in "real time" by the White House and others.
Requests for support were requested and denied at least three times during the attack.
Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods "painted" an Al Qaeda mortar team position with a laser, prior to being killed from that same location.  He would not, and could not, paint the location without  an uplink to a laser-guided weapon in the area, which Defense Secretary Panetta and the White House have said were not in the area.
A YouTube video was NOT what triggered the attack, so why was that the initial story released by the White House?

There are many other questions as to what was known, who knew it, who made the decision not to provide support, and others.  That the Obama Administration is treating this as some sort of game of keep-away, and refusing to tell the American people the truth about what happened  in Benghazi, points out, at the very least, that there is a lot that this administration is hiding, and that a cover-up is being waged on a large scale

The question is "Why"?

Benghazi documents available to senators only when they are out of town
Posted By Josh Rogin   Thursday, November 8, 2012 - 12:16 PM

Under pressure from senators, the State Department is allowing some lawmakers to look at cables and other documents related to the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi, but only today and tomorrow, when most senators are not in Washington.

Congress is gearing up for a full week of Benghazi-related hearings next week, including a Nov. 13 hearing behind closed doors of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, led by Chairman John Kerry (D-MA). Kerry has written two letters to the State Department requesting congressional access to information and documents related to the circumstances leading up to and during the attack that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens. Several sensitive documents have already been leaked to congressional offices and the media, so the State Department has decided to let some senators view Benghazi documents but not take them home.

Time Magazine Cover Shows 35 Illegal Aliens Claiming "We Are Americans"

Posted by Brian
Time Magazine has injected illegal immigration into the 2012 campaign with it latest issue, showing 35 illegal aliens with the headline: ""We Are Americans*" "*Just not legally""
This is simply one more attempt to paint all illegal immigrants as persons who are just hard-working persons looking to make a better life for themselves, and become a part of the melting pot that is America.  For many this is true.  For many others though, this is not the case.  Many come here seasonally with no intention of becoming American, working for months, and then taking themselves and U.S. dollars back with them.  Others are criminals in gangs or the drug trade, bringing their criminal activities and violence with them.  Many of these illegals stay, but have no intention of becoming Americans. Yet others are terrorists, taking advantage of weak border enforcement to slip into our country, waiting on orders to carry out jihad sometime in the future.
Jose Vargas and the others on the cover of Time may truly want to become part of this great experiment we call America.  But the simple fact is that their first act in coming to our country was to break the law, and for that they should not be rewarded, but should pay a penalty prior to any consideration of being allowed to start the citizenship process, which should start at the back of the line.

LATEST COVER OF TIME MAGAZINE: 35 ILLEGAL ALIENS CLAIMING ‘WE ARE AMERICANS*’
by Jason Howerton

Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Jose Antonio Vargas made headlines last year when he came out and publicly revealed himself to be an illegal alien living and working in the United States.

He has not been contacted by the government since making the announcement, which he argues was intended to make the point that illegal immigration is not being addressed.

American's Renouncing Citizenship In Record Numbers

Posted by Brian
Remember this?

“Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.”

Government regulations, high taxes, and the erosion of individual liberty are causing American's to renounce their citizenship in unheard-of-before numbers. American's living abroad are saying the U.S. citizenship has become more of a liability than a privilege.

Give me your wages, your tips, your Form 1040 with Schedule A, B, C, D, and R.

Welcome to Obama's Ameritopia!

Special Report: Tax time pushes some Americans to take a hike

(Reuters) - A year ago, in Action Comics, Superman declared plans to renounce his U.S. citizenship.
"'Truth, justice, and the American way' - it's not enough anymore," the comic book superhero said, after both the Iranian and American governments criticized him for joining a peaceful anti-government protest in Tehran.
Last year, almost 1,800 people followed Superman's lead, renouncing their U.S. citizenship or handing in their Green Cards. That's a record number since the Internal Revenue Service began publishing a list of those who renounced in 1998. It's also almost eight times more than the number of citizens who renounced in 2008, and more than the total for 2007, 2008 and 2009 combined
