COWARDS!! GOP Leadership is BUSTED! Using "Tricks" To Fund ObamaCare while Claiming They Oppose It

Posted by Brian

THROW THE BUMS OUT!!
Boehner, McCarthy, Cantor - The Unholy Trinity of the House GOP

If what John Boehner, Eric Cantor, Kevin McCarthy, Pete Sessions, and the rest of these slimy scumbags who make up the so-called leadership of the current GOP are currently proposing to ensure ObamaCare is fully funded doesn't piss you off, then you may be part of the problem.
What's worse is that these jerks don't even have the integrity to tell the people they supposedly represent that they actually support ObamaCare.  Instead they are LIARS, using procedural "tricks" to deceive their constituents, claiming one thing while virtually ensuring an outcome exactly opposite of what they say they support, trying to buy political cover from conservatives and the Tea Party.
Red State reported that after Ted Cruz threw the BS flag on this deception, Pete Sessions had a meltdown during a meeting exclaiming his total contempt for Cruz and conservatives.
Pete Sessions (R-TX)
Breitbart News reports a source claiming Eric Cantor is “shopping an idea of passing defund through the House with the CR (continuing resolution), but with a mechanism that would allow it to be decoupled in the Senate, defeated, and then the base CR be passed without coming back to the House.”  Voila! ObamaCare gets funded, and the Republicans have "clean hands"! That is, until word got out what these despicable pieces of crap are dreaming up in the back rooms of the Capital with the ultimate intent being to deceive the People.
My position on this is, regardless of whether they now go through with this after having been found out, that they all be kicked the hell out of Congress in the next election.  If we do not begin to primary these career politicians who will lie to us with straight faces, we will continue to get this same crap, year in and year out.

DC Lawmakers Seek to Exempt Themselves From ObamaCare, Siting High Cost

Posted by Brian

Lawmakers in both the House and the Senate, seeing the impending disaster that is Obamacare, are scrambling to exempt themselves and their staffers from the exorbitant cost increase which is scheduled to hit next year.
Politico reports, "Congressional leaders in both parties are engaged in high-level, confidential talks" to exempt themselves and their staffers from the increased costs.  "Confidential"? You mean, meeting behind closed doors to hide what they're doing from the American people?   Say it isn't so!
God forbid that, realizing this monstrosity of a "health care" bill does exactly the opposite of what they advertised, which was to hold down costs and premiums, they actually do the right thing and defund the entire damn thing for everyone, but instead seek to provide a work-around for themselves and the politically well-connected.
Your elected leaders and representatives working "for the people"? Riiiiiiiiight!

Limp Boehner Caves...Again! Conservatives Blast GOP Leaders

Posted by Brian

Well that didn't take long.  John Boehner and the House GOP leaders blinked before the President and the Dems even started staring them down.
Folks, John Boehner and the GOP leadership is an unmitigated disaster.  Ever since election night, these idiots have misread the results.  They are blaming the loss on everything except the fact that over three million voters stayed home. Three million conservative voters.  These voters stayed home due to the fact that Romney, rightly so, was not conservative.  Every election cycle we hear of how we need to put up a candidate who can reach the "middle".  To these wizards, this means a "moderate" candidate.  Nearly every time the GOP does this, they get their butts handed to them. Ford, Bush I, Dole, McCain, and now Romney.  The problem isn't that the message is too conservative, it's that it's not conservative enough!
Now we have Boehner and the rest of these statist Republicans telling Americans that they are going to expand government, but at a slower rate than the Democrats.
John Boehner, Eric Cantor, and the rest of the current GOP leadership need to be removed from their positions of power and marginalized.
Whether it's Jim DeMint, or some other conservative in Congress, a coalition has to be put together by them to purge this cancer that has infected the modern day GOP.

Boehner tax increase sparks conservative backlash
By Seth McLaughlin - The Washington TimesDecember 4, 2012, 10:57PM

Sen. Jim DeMint, a tea party favorite, ripped House Republican leaders for offering a budget framework that embraced new taxes, saying the GOP plan to raise $800 billion in new revenue would hurt the economy, kill jobs and not reduce the national debt by a penny.

"This isn't rocket science," Mr. DeMint, South Carolina Republican, said. "Everyone knows that when you take money out of the economy, it destroys jobs, and everyone knows that when you give politicians more money, they spend it. This is why Republicans must oppose tax increases and insist on real spending reductions that shrink the size of government and allow Americans to keep more of their hard-earned money."

Boehner Dismisses Tea Party

BOEHNER MOCKS TEA PARTY CAUCUS

by MATTHEW VADUM  9 Nov 2012, 7:28 AM PDT

House Speaker John Boehner dismissed the Tea Party as irrelevant in an interview with ABC's Diane Sawyer yesterday, while at the same time sending out contradictory messages on taxes.

Two days after the presidential ticket of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan were defeated in the election, Boehner stated incorrectly that there is no “Tea Party caucus to speak of in the House.” He then appeared to say Republicans now take the movement for granted, adding, “all of us who were elected in 2010 were supported by the Tea Party.”

Although the official Tea Party Caucus hasn’t been as active as other officially recognized congressional caucuses such as the Democratic-dominated Congressional Progressive Caucus, it has nonetheless existed since 2010.

And So It Begins! Boehner Is First To Blink On Raising Taxes

Posted by Brian

Hang on to your wallets!  Just hours after stating that "voters said 'no' to raising taxes", the perma-tanned and limp-wristed Speaker of the House, John Boehner, is indicating that he would go along with raising taxes "under the right conditions".  And what will those "conditions" be Speaker Boehner?   Better treatment by the press? Free tanning sessions? Maybe Obama will say "please".
Unfortunately, now that some godd conservatives were defeated yesterday (Allen West and Mia Love), the number of principled conservatives in the House has decreased, and we will continue to have a rudderless leadership team to fight a vile and vicious Democrat machine. You can say whatever you want about Nancy Pelosy, Steny Hoyer, and the others on the Democrat side, the fact is, they refuse to veer from their message and agenda. Boehner, on the other hand, is the battered wife who perpetually forgives his batterer, only to go back to get the crap beat out of himself again.
God help us!

Boehner Would Accept New Revenue Under ‘Right Conditions’
By Roxana Tiron and Richard Rubin - Nov 7, 2012 12:31 PM PT

U.S. House Speaker John Boehner said Republicans would be willing to accept new tax revenue to reduce the nation’s budget deficit if it’s accompanied by a tax overhaul and changes to entitlement programs.

Speaking in Washington a day after President Barack Obama’s re-election, Boehner of Ohio said all sides are “closer than many think” to being able to revise the tax code.

2012 Election: Voters Schizophrenic in Congressional Races

Posted by Brian

Barack Obama has been elected to a second term.  The Senate remains in the hands of the corrupt Harry Reid and the Democrats, and the GOP held on to the House, with the weepy and feckless John Boehner expected to remain as Speaker.

Congratulations America!  You voted the status quo! The Tea Party lost a few seats (Allen West of Florida and Joe Walsh of Illinois), as did the Democrats (Fortney Pete Stark of CA and John Kerry of MA).

This was possibly the most divided electorate I have witnessed in my 50-plus years.  Not just in votes, but in the types of candidates who were elected and rejected. Obama wins Massachusetts with 60% of the vote,  while far-left liberal Democrat John Kerry loses his seat.  Simultaneously, Massachusetts elects fauxcahontas Elizabeth Warren, the self-professed blond blue-eyed Indian squaw.

On the other end of the spectrum, Utah goes for Romney with 72% of the vote, while conservative Mia Love looks to be headed for defeat by less than 3000 votes.

This election is going to be analyzed for decades for how all-over-the-map voters were in their voting patterns (or lack thereof), which completely defy logic.  It defies logic because a majority of voters polled said that the government is getting too big, yet voted for a man who epitomizes big government, voted out Obama sure-bet votes Stark and Kerry, while rejecting small government candidates West and Walsh.

While Obama celebrates his victory, his challenge is not going to be a split Congress, but an American electorate schizophrenic as to what kind of country they want.

House GOP 'Leaders' Goal Is To Fund ObamaCare

Posted by Brian
Two months ago, Speaker Boehner, in speaking of ObamaCare, said "everything must go".  That was two months ago.  Now he is indicating that he intends to fund it.  Despite the fact that 60% of Americans now oppose ObamaCare, Boehner and company once again choose to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.  As Neidermeier in 'Animal House' said, "You're worthless and weak!" He could have been speaking of John Boehner.

GOP voters and American's who cherish liberty need to vote in force in November.  Our goal should not be only to have a landslide against Democrats, but to purge as many of the RINO's in Congress as we can.  We can no longer tolerate the weepy John Boehner and his ship of fools.  A wholesale coup needs to happen with the House and Senate GOP leadership, with those who are not afraid to stand up to Pelosi and Reid, and who also exemplify conservative principles, unlike Boehner who bends over and grabs his ankles every time Pelosi says "boo!"

This election is every bit about replacing traitorous RINO's where possible, as it is about getting rid of Obama and the Dems.

House GOP Leaders Indicate They Will Fund Implementation of Obamacare
By Elizabeth Harrington and Jon Street July 24, 2012

(CNSNews.com) –When asked whether the House Republicans would permit or not permit funding for Obamacare in whatever legislation is enacted to fund the government after Sept. 30--when the current funding legislation runs out--House Speaker John Boehner responded that "our goal would be to make sure the government is funded," thus indicating that House Republicans do plan to fund implementation of Obamacare past Sept. 30.

Boehner, GOP Leadership Must Go!!

Posted by Brian

Boehner needs to go big, or go home!

John Boehner has presided over the biggest spending Congress in history.  His feckless leadership and lack of anything resembling intestinal fortitude in dealing with Obama, Pelosi and Reid, has seriously damaged the GOP platform of reining in spending and dealing with this country's financial crisis.
The team of Boehner, Cantor and McCarthy have been nothing short of impotent in projecting strength of character, or of putting out a coherent message to the American public.  Boehner has, in every legislative battle, been on defense.  Even when Boehner has had the legislative upper hand in opinion polls (the debt limit fight) and support, he has caved to Pelosi and the Dems, in a "show of bipartisanship".
Boehner And Cantor
Boehner And Cantor (Photo credit: Talk Radio News Service)
Tell me Mr. Speaker, when do the Democrats have to show a little bipartisan goodwill? You start your negotiations out from a position of weakness. With the starting point favoring the Democrats, you play prevent defense giving up even more ground.
Voters need to, and have been, knocking out RINO incumbents to complement the conservatives currently in Congress this election cycle, and the next several as well. We need more real leaders in Congress like Rep. Allen West, Joe Wilson, Tim Scott, Joe Walsh and others.
The new fight over the debt limit is coming up.  A dollar to a doughnut that Boehner once again snatches defeat from the jaws of victory and caves, raising the debt-ceiling without getting any spending cuts.  NOT promises! Real spending cuts.
Any takers?

Debt Up $1.59T Under GOP House—More in 15 Months Than First 97 Congresses Combined
By Terence P. Jeffrey June 1, 2012

(CNSNews.com) - The Republican-controlled House of Representatives, which took office in January 2011, has enacted federal spending bills under which the national debt has increased more in less than one term of Congress than in the first 97 Congresses combined.
In the fifteen months that the Republican-controlled House of Representatives--led by Speaker John Boehner--has effectively enjoyed a constitutional veto over federal spending, the federal government’s debt has increased by about $1.59 trillion.

Weak House GOP: Balanced Budget Amendment, No Cap On Spending

Posted by Brian
Are the leaders of the House GOP politically suicidal? John Boehner, Eric Cantor and the rest of the buffoons seem bent on handing the 2012 elections to the Democrats.  Not that GOP and so-called independent voters will vote Democrat, but that many of those voters will be so disgusted or depressed that they will stay home.
The latest foray into self-destruction is the latest version of a "Balanced" Budget Amendment being put forth by the House GOP.  The Amendment allows those in Washington to spend however the hell much they want, and removes the two-thirds supermajority vote to raise taxes. They have handed Obama and the Democrats a gift with this crap.  Already the White House is coming out in opposition, knowing it will play well with the media, and hurt the GOP. Dunces!
It is supposedly a means to get spending under control, but it will only lead this, and future Congresses, to spend as much as they want, and raise taxes in order to bring the budget into balance.  But what if they cut spending? Not going to happen. When was the last time the Government actually made any real cuts? When government says they are cutting spending, it is always a decrease in the amount of money they have already projected they would spend - what they call baseline budgeting.  They never really cut any spending - only a decrease in the projected increase.
To my conservative friends around the country: We need to primary as many of these "establishment" turncoats as possible, and get rid of the weepy Boehner, spineless Cantor, as many of their minions as possible, and put new "conservative" leadership into the GOP House and Senate.  We have the numbers in Congress.  Now we need cojones.

GOP House Will Vote on Balanced Budget Amendment That Permits Unlimited Federal Spending

(CNSNews.com) – House Republicans are set to vote later this week on a balanced budget amendment (BBA) that would not cap federal spending as a percentage of GDP or require a supermajority to raise taxes.
Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) said the vote would probably take place this Friday.
Cantor said that this version of a BBA, H.J. Res 2 -- rather than one that would cap federal spending, H.J. Res 1 -- was the version “overwhelmingly” favored by House Republicans.

Boehner on Obama's Claim Americans Are Better Off Now: 'Are You Kidding Me'

(CNSNews.com) - House Speaker John Boehner (R.-Ohio) expressed incredulity when he was asked at his press briefing Wednesday about the affirmative answer President Barack Obama gave this week when he was asked if Americans were better off now than they were four years ago.
“Are you kidding me?” Boehner said. “Why don’t you go ask the 14 million Americans who are out of work whether they’re better than they were four years ago?”

GOP Should Oust Boehner As Speaker

Republicans Need New Leadership

To understand why conservatives across the fruited plain are fed up with, not only Obama and the far-left, but with Congressional Republicans as well, one need look no farther than the "leadership" of Speaker of the House, John Boehner.  He is indicative of what is wrong with our government on so many levels.
His latest outrage is the completely asinine statement of "not ruling out" support for a balanced budget amendment which doesn't limit federal spending.  This is typical inside-the-beltway politicking at its very worst. It plays right into the hands of Democrats in that, despite calling it "balanced", leaves open tax hikes on everything in sight to get to a "balance".  Boehner has shown himself to be every bit the slippery politician as Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, or any of the others who talk out of both sides of their mouth.  At least with Reid and Pelosi you don't have to guess at their ideological agenda.  They are far-left and proud of it.  Boehner, and many other members of the GOP in Congress, are more despicable because they claim to stand for conservative principles, while compromising them at every turn.
Conservatives need to primary as many of these RINO's as possible with authentic conservative thinkers. In addition, conservatives in Congress need to remove Boehner from his position as Speaker, install a true conservative into that post, elevate other conservatives to the leadership positions, minimizing the influence of the weak-kneed, status quo, liberal wing of the GOP.

Boehner Won't Rule Out 'Balanced Budget Amendment' That Permits Unlimited Federal Spending

(CNSNews.com) – House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) indicated at a press briefing Thursday that the House Republican leadership is not ruling out the possibility that it will support a balanced budget amendment that does not cap federal spending as a percentage of Gross Domestic Product or require a supermajority in Congress to increase taxes.

Debt Crisis - Why The Tea Party Didn't Win

Posted by Brian
Good interview with Tea Party Founder Mark Meckler.  Keep in mind that the interviewer and the magazine are from the lefty magazine Der Spiegel, so the questions ard into are loaded with terms like "radical right" and the interviewer sees things through a european socialist lens.

Interview with Tea Party Co-Founder Mark Meckler

'We Have Compromised Our Way Into Disaster'

Mark Meckler, 49, the co-founder of the Tea Party Patriots in the United States, talks to SPIEGEL about the US debt ceiling, the radical right's uncompromising fight against the national debt and the "complete economic disaster" he claims President Barack Obama has created.

SPIEGEL: The world is looking at Washington and sees gridlock and chaos. How much have the negotiations over the United States' debt ceiling hurt America's standing in the world?

Meckler: Saying that these debates have hurt our image is absurd. What you currently see in Washington is one of the most responsible debates ever about the size and scope of government. The world should look at what is going on in the United States as a model for what should happen in all countries.

SPIEGEL: We look at it and see a Congress held hostage by a small group of radical Tea Party members unwilling to agree to any budget compromise and risking a US default.

Meckler: What do you mean by "a small group?" Forty-one percent of voters in the last US election said they agreed with Tea Party values. And the primary values of the Tea Party are about fiscal responsibility.
