Now that the media has picked up on this study, it's only a matter of time before the Bloomturd's of the world start pushing for legislation to reduce portion sizes, reduce the amount of fat grams, and put limits on salt in restaurant food.  In other words, all of the stuff that makes restaurant food taste good, and draws us out of our own kitchens to go out and treat ourselves to some rich, fatty goodness.

No. it is governments' "job" to protect us from ourselves and to remove any inkling of personal responsibility from its citizens.  Big Nanny will tell us what we should eat, how much, and when.

Study: 96% of restaurant entrees exceed USDA limits

If you plan to chow down tonight at a big chain restaurant, there's a better than nine-in-10 chance that your entree will fail to meet federal nutrition recommendations for both adults and kids, according to a provocative new study.

A whopping 96% of main entrees sold at top U.S. chain eateries exceed daily limits for calories, sodium, fat and saturated fat recommended by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, reports the 18-month study conducted by the Rand Corp. and funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
