Dem Strategist: Obama "needs more outlets where it’s just him talking to the American people".

Posted by Brian

Did Dem Strategist Just call For Obama To Be A Dictator?

CNN host Don Lemon, Democrat strategist Hilary Rosen, and conservative Reihan Salam discussed President Obama's failures and sinking numbers on a recent CNN segment of "Out Front".

It was a brutal segment for Rosen, as both Salam and Lemon challenged her talking points and supposed reasons for Obama's troubles.

Rosen, saying that Republicans blow Obama's words and "intentions" out of proportion, was challenged by Lemon, who said, "Isn’t the president above that? Like, you don’t punch down."

Exactly.  It's laughable that she and Obama are complaining that Fox News and Rush Limbaugh are destroying the Presidents message.  Apparently, those two outlets alone are able to drown out MSNBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, and Ed Schultz (Radio Show) combined.  It's a ridiculous statement, especially in the context of the amount of negative press and political noise that was aimed at the Bush Administration for 8 years.  How was it that Fox and Rush were not able to counter them back then.

Salam then jumps in: “The problem is that there are a lot of people, including Democratic lawmakers, including women who serve in the Obama administration who say that this is a difficult guy to work with. There are lawmakers, Democratic lawmakers, who feel as though he has just been tremendously difficult working helping them achieve their goals. It’s not just Republicans. So I have a feeling that the president sometimes wants to shift blame to other people for some of his failures as a communicator and someone who is building communications.”

It is here that Rosen suggests that Obama's problem is he can't speak to American's directly, whenever he wants to, with no one to challenge him on what he says:
“Well, I don’t think he is shifting blame. I think that what he is saying is that he needs more and more outlets where it’s just him talking to the American people.

You know, Like Fidel Castro or Hugo Chavez, talking for hours to a captive audience with no one to challenge him, or to put anything he says in context. We need to just let him be the benevolent dictator he aspires to be, and we need to shup up and be good subjects. Is that about right, Hilary Rosen?

Ms Rosen might want to go back and brush up on the history of the Jewish people, and what happens when people allow exactly what she is advocating for.

Limbaugh Living Rent-Free In Obama's Head, Blames Rush for Problems

Posted by Brian
Barack Obama claims that it is Republicans who are afraid of Limbaugh, but why is it that it is he who always brings Limbaugh's name up? One the one hand, Limbaugh is "just an entertainer that no one pays attention to, and on the other it is Rush Limbaugh who is soooo influential that Obama can't get anything done. With Limbaugh occupying so much of Obama's brain, you'd think that "the Messiah" would be getting smarter by the second.
It's extemely funny how Obama likes to claim that he doesn't even think about Limbaugh, but never fails to blame him when things are going south for him.  Me thinks that Obama doth protest too much, or to quote 'Ace Ventura': "Obsess much?"

Rush Limbaugh (on right) is the tenant in Barack Obama's head.

Obama on CNN: Congress Has Two Jobs, But Too ‘Worried About’ ‘Rush Limbaugh’ to Do Them
by Noah Rothman | 7:59 am, August 23rd, 2013

In an exclusive interview with CNN’s Chris Cuomo on Friday, President Barack Obama said that the upcoming fight over the continuation of a resolution which will fund the government does not have to be a fight at all. He said that enough Republicans in Congress agree that seeking to defund the Affordable Care Act is a bad idea, but they are afraid of angering their base or of conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh.

Dream Lineup: Limbaugh, Levin, and Hannity as GOP Debate Moderators?

Limbaugh, Hannity, Levin eyed as 2016 GOP debate moderators
| WashingtonExaminer.com

The Republican National Committee, already threatening to block CNN and NBC from hosting 2016 primary debates if they air planned features on Hillary Clinton, is also looking to scrap the old model of having reporters and news personalities ask the questions at candidate forums.

Miffed that their candidates were singled out for personal questions or CNN John King's "This or That," when he asked candidates quirky questions like "Elvis or Johnny Cash," GOP insiders tell Secrets that they are considering other choices, even a heavyweight panel of radio bigs Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Mark Levin.

They told Secrets that they are eager to bring in questioners who understand Republican policies and beliefs and who have the ability to get candidates to differentiate their positions on core conservative values.

The move comes as several conservatives are pressuring the party to have Limbaugh, Hannity and Levin ask the debate questions. "It makes a lot of sense. We'd get a huge viewership, they'd make a lot of news and maybe have some fun too," said one of the advocates of the radio trio hosting debates.

White House Spokesman Complains - "Drudge Report" Makes It Hard To Stay On Message

Posted by Brian

Rush Limbaugh discussed White House spokeman Dan Pfeiffer's appearance on CSPAN-3, in which he laments that the media are influenced by what Matt Drudge does.  In other words, they ask questions that the White House doesn't want to have to address.  It screws up their propaganda Feng Shui, introducing unwanted stories which challenge their narrative.
Drudge doesn't even write 99% of what he posts on his site.  What Drudge does brilliantly, and what Obama and the White House hate,  is he digs up stories which might never be seen, or reported on, by the mainstream media, and puts them front and center on his web page.  He's a one-stop shop for news that people are interested in, and which just happens to challenge the narrative of the administration, and media outlets like the NY Times.
Oh, the horror!

White House Attacks the Drudge Report, as Obama Continues His Effort to Eliminate All Political Opposition
April 03, 2013

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: The White House's Dan Pfeiffer, spokesman for the White House, is complaining again about the Drudge Report and chastising reporters for using it and then asking him about things on the Drudge Report. It's been a horrible thing to happen to news, the White House says, in America. Yep.
BREAK TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: The White House goes after Fox News by name, and the White House goes after me by name, because what the White House wants is to eliminate any opposition -- political, media, wherever it is.  That is the modus operandi of the president, rather than debate people and win in a contest of hearts and minds. They don't want to do that, no, no, just eliminate the opposition.  It's been the way Obama has approached politics since his first days in it.
Well, now they're back to calling out Drudge.  This is from the Washington Examiner.  "During a Playbook Breakfast event with Politico’s Mike Allen, White House Senior Adviser Dan Pfeiffer lamented the effect of the Drudge Report on the news cycle."  He said, "This is less true now than it was, but there's a Pavlovian response from some media outlets."  You mean like the Pavlovian response we got when Bush named Cheney to be his VP, gravitas?  If I've ever seen a Pavlovian response, it was that. About a hundred thousand media people all used the same word to describe the choice of Cheney: gravitas.  We've played that sound bite for you over and over again.  And there have been other examples.

Sandra Fluke 15 Minutes Runs Out, Draws "Crowd" Of About 10 Obama Supporters

Posted by Brian

Sandra Fluke, Your Time Is Up!
Andy Warhol once said the everybody gets their fifteen minutes of fame.  It appears that fifteen minutes has expired for Sandra Fluke barely five weeks after her gig as a featured speaker at the 2012 DNC Convention.
The Democrat darling and face of the trumped-up GOP "War on Women", Fluke is quickly finding out that fame is fleeting, especially when your only claim to that fame is pushing an issue that nearly none of the American people, save for die-hard leftists, care one iota about - taxpayer-supplied free condoms and free birth control for women.
Speaking in Reno Saturday, a reported ten people (I count 14, or barely more than a baker's dozen) showed up for her get-out-the-early-vote speech for an Obama campaign which is seeing its national poll numbers tank on a daily, if not hourly basis.  From the look of those in the photos, the excitement is palpable.
I haven't seen the Democrats throw someone out like yesterdays garbage since the Dems tossed Cindy Sheehan back into the ditch she was camping out in to protest President G. W. Bush and the Iraq war.
Don't worry, Sandra. You aren't the first, nor will you be the last, useful idiot to be used by the Dems and the media to further their agenda, only to be chewed up and spit out like gum that has lost its flavor.  The cycle will be complete when they stop calling you and they are no longer answering your phone calls.  Drawing "crowds" like this, that should start happening any day now.

Fluke pushes early voting in Reno

Sandra Fluke, the woman at the center of a media firestorm earlier this year after Rush Limbaugh called her a “slut,” spoke Saturday in front of about 10 people at the Sak ‘N Save in north Reno.

The speech was part of a daylong effort by Democrats to get Northern Nevadans to the polls on the first day of early voting.

Left Blames Usual Patsies In Wisconsin Sikh Shooting

Posted by Brian

Michelle Bachmann, Rush Limbaugh, and Glenn Beck are targeted by the left as "responsible" for the actions of a reported  'white supremacist' in Wisconsin over the weekend.  Once again, the actual shooter is not to blame, but conservative radio (Limbaugh and Beck), and the Tea Party (Michelle Bachmann).  The only thing surprising about allegations are - no wait! NONE of this is surprising!  This reaction is the new normal from those on the left.  Shootings. Natural disasters. Hot weather. Cold weather. Floods.  Whatever the tragedy, somehow, someway, the left will vomit out their accusations.  It's a reflex.  Those on the left have been so conditioned to these things, that evidence is not only not needed, it's not even sought after.  Even after being proven wrong (the Aurora shooting, Gabby Giffords), hard-core leftists are incapable of coming off of their reflexive attacks.  They double-down!

While blaming Michelle Bachmann for this attack, claiming that it is because of her calls to investigate persons in our government who have ties to the terrorist group the Muslim Brotherhood, it completely escapes them that Sikh's are not Muslim, but a monotheistic Indian religion founded in the Punjab area of India.

Attacks like this on Limbaugh are par for the course.  He's been blamed for everything from the OK, City bombing in the 90's, to Columbine, and now this.  Rush Limbaugh has even been blamed for rising threats against Democrat lawmakers. It never even occurs to them that most of these types of things are from people who are just plain nuts!  It also doesn't enter their pea-brains that some of these threats and acts might just come from some of those on the left (Shock!) who have felt betrayed by promises of a far-left socialist utopia which have not happened yet. Say, like the Occupy Oakland protestors smashing a window at Obama Headquarters in downtown Oakland.  Even that was blamed on "right-wing violence" by those on the left!  Really?!  The Occupy movement is a bunch of right-wing Tea Party types? It has become laughable, the depths to which the left has sunk.

It will be interesting to follow all the talking heads on the news shows, twisting themselves into pretzels, as they attempt to get a leg up on all of their colleagues to try to "understand" the mind of the disturbed, and apparently racist, individual who shot up this Sikh Temple, and then place the blame on the gun, talk radio, conservatives, or some other external entity - anyone but the actual shooter!  This will of course just add more fuel to the fire of those on the anti-gun bandwagon.

Meanwhile, those of us on the "hate-filled right" will pray for the innocent victims of this horrible tragedy, recognize that there are sick and evil people in this world, that is those people who are responsible for their own actions, and give more people the "tools" to protect themselves and their neighbors, as the Founders so wisely recognized.

Breitbart Is Here...and So Is Rush Limbaugh

Posted by Brian
H/T to The Blaze

Taking a page from Andrew Brietbart, Rush Limbaugh is no longer being passive about the constant attacks on him by Media Maters, and is going on offense.
What, you say? But, doesn't Limbaugh have three hours a day to spew his venom at the left?  Yes, he does have that three hours, but for anyone who has listened to Rush for any length of time, he rarely speaks about himself.  He has a hard enough time just getting through his "stack of stuff" to spend much time on his personal trials. Besides, as he admits, he isn't comfortable talking about himself.
With the new social media (Twitter, Facebook) playing a larger role in how people get information, Rush is embracing it and taking his message to a much larger audience.  Unfortunately for Media Matters, Rush has his sites set squarely on them, presumably with the intent of exposing their ties to the White House, the Mainstream Media, working as attack dogs for the Democrat Party, and hopefully having their tax-exempt status removed as a non-profit, non-partison entity.
When MMfA went after Limbaugh, one wonders if they bit off more than they can chew...and did they see the holy-shit storm coming their way?!

LIMBAUGH HITS BACK AT MEDIA MATTERS: LAUNCHES SITE SECTION DEDICATED TO REFUTING ITS ‘FACTS’

On his website, Limbaugh now has an entire section dedicated solely to setting the record straight on dubious Media Matters allegations.  Found at “mediamatters.rushlimbaugh.com,” the page begins with an introduction of the group:

CBS' Stahl Calls Feeding KSM Ensure Dietary Shake "Orwellian" Tactics

LIMBAUGH LAUGHS AT CBS‘ LESLIE STAHL CALLING IT ’ORWELLIAN‘ FOR KSM TO BE FORCED TO DRINK ’ENSURE’

Posted on April 28, 2012 at 9:57pm by Liz Klimas

The interview between CBS’ Leslie Stahl and former Director of the National Clandestine Service Jose Rodriguez set to air on “60 Minutes” this Sunday has Rush Limbaugh laughing already.
A clip from the interview features the two talking about the treatment of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (KSM) — the 9/11 mastermind who was captured in 2003 and taken to Guantánamo Bay. Along with water boarding and sleep deprivation, another form of treatment of Guantánamo prisoners includes dietary manipulation. For KSM, this meant the drink Ensure. Stahl says ”What, his Ensure? You mean like people in the hospital who will eat that stuff?“ Rodriguez called dietary manipulation ”part of these dire techniques.“ Stahl called it ”Orwellian stuff.”

High School Student Interviews Limbaugh On The State Of Racism In The Media

At least one high school student is about to turn in a red hot paper. Apparently, a Los Angeles area high school has assigned its students to write a paper in History Class dealing with “art or justice.“ One student picked the topic ”Racism in the Mainstream Media.” Yet unlike so many other students, who would have probably gone to radical or Left-wing commentators to point out just how many ways the Media isn’t fearful enough of racism, this student decided to call the last person most educators would expect: Rush Limbaugh.

Media Matters Fascist Campaign Against Limbaugh

Posted by Brian
Media Matters, self-proclaimed defenders of journalistic fairness, have begun a full-frontal assault on free speech.  Using Rush Limbaugh as their focal point, they have begun radio ads in eight markets in an attempt to pressure local stations to drop Limbaugh from the airwaves.
By now, most have heard of Limbaugh's over the top remarks about Sandra Fluke, and the ensuing firestorm and feigned outrage from many on the left as well as some on the right. Regrettable as Rush's words were (he has since  publicly apologized), the incident also exposed the abject hypocrisy of those on the left who are virtually silent when liberal hosts and entertainers make remarks that are just as, if not much more outrageous and vile than what Limbaugh uttered.
Political commentators such as Ed Schultz and Keith Olbermann have made comments that are much more beyond the pale than anything Limbaugh has said. Then, there are the so-called leftists like Bill Maher, who get free passes because he is doing "comedy", when he calls Sarah Palin a "c**t" or Michelle Bachmann a "bimbo".
In these and many other instances, Media Matters remain silent.  Keep in mind that Media Matters is a tax-exempt charitable organization.  Yet their attacks are saved exclusively for conservative talk show hosts, the GOP and Fox News. Their blatant bias is so in-your-face that their tax-exempt status is now being challenged. We are also finding out that Media Matters has had a plan since 2009 to attempt to get Rush Limbaugh off the airwaves.
Rush Limbaugh lit the fuse that started this firestorm, but Media Matters has been standing by with the cans of gasoline for over three years to turn a small brushfire into a manufactured media inferno.
This is not just an attack on Limbaugh. This is an attack on all who value free-speech. Radio hosts, bloggers, and ordinary citizens. You may agree or disagree with Rush Limbaugh, Ed Schultz, or Keith Olbermann, but their right to voice their opinions should not be squelched by David Brock and Media Matters' Stalinist crusades.

Media Matters Launches New Ad Campaign Slamming Rush Limbaugh
Despite the media firestorm surrounding Rush Limbaugh having died down, the conservative radio host isn't off the hook just yet.
According to the Washington Times, the liberal watchdog group Media Matters has launched a $100,000 ad campaign criticizing the host for calling Georgetown law student Sandra Fluke a "slut" and "prostitute" after she testified before the House on contraception.
The ads are currently being broadcast in eight cities, with some urging listeners to tell their local radio stations to take Limbaugh's show off the air and including the telephone numbers of stations broadcasting Limbaugh's show.

Will Reviving The Fairness Doctrine Reduce Violence?

No Fairness DoctrineImage via Wikipedia

Fairness Doctrine Not A Panacea For Violence Against Public Figures
By Brian Johnson - Brian's Right Perspective

The Fairness Doctrine, established by the FCC in 1949, that required the holders of broadcast licenses to both present controversial issues of public importance and to do so in a manner that was, in the Commission's view, honest, equitable and balanced. In other words, if a Rush Limbaugh made a controversial statement, the station had to provide equal time to someone to rebut what Limbaugh said.  Instead of promoting debate, the Fairness Doctrine caused stations to avoid anything controversial at all.  The talk airwaves were littered with programs on how to get the perfect pie crust, green gardening, and a host of other programming that were more conducive to putting you to sleep than provoking debate.  In 1987, Ronald Reagan abolished the Fairness Doctrine through executive order.  Since that time talk radio has flourished, starting with Rush Limbaugh, and the medium now has scores of successful hosts and programming.  There are hosts across the political spectrum which challenge a persons worldview, and sometimes may even piss you off.  The point is is that there is something there for pretty much everyone.  You just have to find it, or in the case that you don't like what you're hearing, change the station.
The Left in this country argues that talk radio incites violence through what they claim is "hateful" rhetoric.  For the Left, all of the rhetoric comes from the conservative side of the spectrum. I have listened to everything from Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity and Levin on the right, to Amy Goodman, Ed Schultz, and Mike Malloy on the left, and have serious issues with their assessment.  I have posted very recently on a lot of what has been said from the left and I will not rehash it here. They are all in the archives of my blog.  What I do want to do is address this accusation from the left, that the repeal of the Fairness Doctrine has somehow made it more dangerous for our political figures.  Was the political climate more or less charged when the Fairness Doctrine was in place? Has the rise of talk radio since its repeal seen an uptick in violence toward our elected officials and political public figures?
The Fairness Doctrine was in place from 1949 to 1987.
In the "era" of the Fairness Doctrine we saw the following:

1950 - An assassination attempt on U.S. President Harry S. Truman occurred on November 1, 1950. It was perpetrated by two Puerto Rican pro-independence activists, Oscar Collazo and Griselio Torresola.
Nov. 22, 1963 - President Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas by Lee Harvey Oswald.
February 21, 1965 - Malcolm X assassinated in Manhattan's Audubon Ballroom by three members of the Nation Of Islam.
April 4, 1968 - Martin Luther King was assassinated in Memphis, Tennessee by James Earl Ray.
June 4, 1968 - Robert F. Kennedy assassinated by Sirhan Sirhan in Los Angeles
September 5, 1975 -  An assassination attempt on President Gerald Ford by Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme, a follower of Charles Manson, who pointed a Colt .45-caliber handgun at Ford. Larry Buendorf,[118] a Secret Service agent, grabbed the gun and managed to insert the webbing of his thumb under the hammer, preventing the gun from firing.
September 22, 1975 - An Assassination attempt on President Gerald Ford by Sara Jane Moore, while standing in a crowd of onlookers across the street, pointed her .38-caliber revolver at him.[120] Just before she fired, former Marine Oliver Sipple grabbed at the gun and deflected her shot.
December 8, 1980 - John Lennon was assassinated outside Lennon's Dakota apartments by Mark David Chapman.
March 30, 1981 - Assassination attempt on Ronald Reagan by John Hinkley outside the Hilton Washington hotel.

Post Fainess Doctrine 1987 - 2010:
January 8, 2010 - Assassination attempt on U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords In Tuscon, Arizona by Jared Loughner.

The contrast is startling.  This, in no way, proves that the Fairness Doctrine causes people to want to harm politicians or politically active public figures.  It is to illustrate that the entire argument to reinstate the Fairness Doctrine, which I believe is an attempt by some of those in positions of power to squelch the free expression of ideas, is devoid of logic.  Radio is a medium which operates on the number of listeners the host can attract (ratings).  Revenue is thus generated by those ratings.  The most successful of those hosts generate the greatest revenue for those stations.  Even with that, there are shows which are liberal, conservative, socialist, religious, and every other kind of genre you can think of - literally hundreds. Many of those are not huge ratings getter's, but they are on the air. Reviving the Fairness Doctrine would limit, not increase your choices.  Instead it would put another nail into the coffin of free speech.

Watch The Other Hand

Posted by Brian
Democrats Using Tuscon Tragedy to Push For Gun Control Laws, Fairness Doctrine , and Ban Certain Symbols

The rhetoric from the left continues to boil over in the wake of the shooting of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords.  As Rahm Emmanuel once said: "You never want a serious crisis to go to waste. And what I mean by that is an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.” Some in the Democrat Party are taking that advice and running with it. While the media are beating the drum 24/7 about the "violent rhetoric" coming from the right, they blissfully ignore that Jared Loughner is a complete nut. They do report the facts about Loughner - his rambling internet posts, his occult alter, his obsession with Congresswoman Giffords, etc. - but then ignore all of that and go right back to the narrative of violent rhetoric, talk radio, the Tea Party, Sarah Palin, et.al.
The Huffington Post is stretching the limits of ridiculousness by running an article linking this to the immigration debate.  In an article titled "Heroic Giffords Intern Could Be Asked For Papers Under Arizona Immigration Law" by Elise Foley, Ms. Foley makes the asinine assertion that the man who subdued Jared Loughner, Daniel Hernandez, because he Hispanic, "could be asked for papers at a police officer's discretion" under SB1070, even though the bill expressly prohibits profiling based on ethnicity.  The fact that he hasn't been asked for "his papers" apparently is lost on the this dimwit.
Front and center in all of this is the Sheriff of Pima County, Clarence Dupnik, who got all of this started with his initial press conference, in which he insinuated that it was talk radio and political rhetoric that was responsible for this.  He made all of these assertions without a shred of evidence, which is disturbing,to say the least, when it's coming from someone who is supposed to be looking at the facts of a case, and not making wild suppositions. If I am the defense attorney for Jared Loughner, I am thanking my lucky stars for Sheriff Dupnik, as he is laying my defense groundwork for me. The Sheriff's behavior in this case has been nothing short of disgraceful, as it is apparent that he has a political ax to grind, and is using this tragedy to milk it for all it is worth.
Meanwhile, in all this cacophony, there are politicians in Washington who are using this circus to push for new legislation.
- Frank Lautenburgh (D- DE) and Carolyn McCarthy are both introducing gun legislation.  Lautenburgh's bill would re-enact the 1994 assault weapons ban, while both his and McCarthy's bill would limit the capacity of clips used to less than 10 rounds.
- Rep. Robert Brady (D-Pa.) is introducing legislation that would make it "a federal crime to use language or symbols that could be viewed as threatening or inciting violence against members of Congress and other federal officials." He said, "You can't just put bull's-eyes or cross hairs on a United States congressman or a federal official", and apparent reference to Sarah Palin's electoral map in which surveyors symbols were mistaken for rifle sights.  Lost in all of this was the Democrat Leadership Council map which have actual bullseye targets on different locations.
-Rep. James Clyburn (D- SC) is trying to revive the "Fairness Doctrine" which is a clear effort to muzzle free speech on the airwaves.  This would be an attempt to silence Limbaugh , Hannitty, Levin, Beck, and conservative talk radio.  Clyburn said the shooting is cause for the country to rethink parameters on free speech.  Tell me Congressman, just who should determine what the parameters on free speech should be?
Though the shooting of Congresswoman Gifford and all the others is a tragedy of the greatest magnitude, we cannot allow politicians to use this as an excuse to whittle away our rights and freedoms.  Under normal circumstances we need to be alert to what politicians do and how they are affecting us.  In times of tragedy it is even more important to pay attention as they use the tragedy like a magician uses sleight of hand to focus your attention on one thing, while the real trick is being done with the other hand.  In this time of national mourning for the victims of this terrible and senseless act by a deranged individual, try to keep your eye on the other hand.

Limbaugh: "...this is all about..shutting down conservative media"

Posted by Brian

Transcript From "The Rush Limbaugh Show"
This is All About Shutting Us Down

Do not kid yourself. What this is all about is shutting down conservative media. That's what this is all about. Shutting down any and all political opposition. That's what the objective of the left and the Democrats is: Criminalizing policy differences, at least when they differ from the Democrat agenda.

One of the more disturbing things about this incident is that someday the left will finally get their wish. Somebody who really can be identified as a conservative is gonna commit some terrible atrocity. It already happens. The leftists already do it and nobody cares. Lee Harvey Oswald was a leftist. Timothy McVeigh. You know, Clinton talks on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on about talk radio, "the angry voices on the radio," and that led to the Oklahoma City bombing. That's not at all what led to the Oklahoma City bombing. McVeigh has said what led to the Oklahoma City bombing, and that was the Waco invasion. McVeigh claimed the bombing was revenge for what the US government did at Waco and at Ruby Ridge.

McVeigh visited Waco during the standoff. He spoke to a news reporter about his anger over what was happening there. So the perp himself said why he did it. So how come Clinton, nor Janet Reno got any blame for McVeigh's actions? He himself said that their actions motivated him. Janet Reno led the Waco invasion of the Branch Davidian compound, burned it to the ground. Kids died. It was a government-led effort to protect the children, and Ruby Ridge. McVeigh was ticked off at both of them. He said so. Yet somehow to this day, to this day Oklahoma City, as far as the media is concerned, was the result of angry voices on the right -- and now this. So what's going to happen?

Limbaugh Unloads On Media Coverage Of Shooting

An Embarrassment for the Media and the Sick, Desperate American Left
Transcript From "The Rush Limbaugh Show"
What an embarrassing weekend it has been for the media. I mean, utterly, childishly, silly embarrassing. I knew it was going to happen the minute I heard about the shooting. I got on the horn with some people, said, "You wait. It's in the template. It's gonna follow." So predictable, so childish, so immature, and it has led to a number of people making abject fools of themselves. The Sheriff of Pima County has made a fool of himself. I don't know if he knows it yet or not. Most in the State-Controlled Media, the Drive-By Media, are illustrating why we call them "the Drive-By Media." They are literally making fools of themselves to take an incident like this and to try to turn it into a political advantage by accusing people that have nothing whatsoever to do with this sordid, unfortunate event, as accomplices to murder. It's silly on its face.

It is beneath the people who made the attempt, but it's who they are. Now, what they've done is essentially take aim at a majority of the people in this country. A majority of the people in this country identify more with the Tea Party movement than with the Democrat Party today, with liberalism. This is not 1988. This is not 1993 when this program was the only New Media out there and they still had the ability to control the message; they had the ability to suppress the news they didn't want anybody to hear about. They had, frankly, total control over what was news, what wasn't news, and what was commentary on the news. And ever since they have lost that monopoly in the media, they have been their own version, to one degree or another, insane. Now, one of the first acts of insanity is to take an obviously deranged, insane, irrational kid and try to analyze him with sanity and with rationality.

SI Confirms: Limbaugh Was Right About McNabb All Along

There's no better place to be sports fan right now than Philadelphia

There were 50 thoughts running through my mind as I watched DeSean Jackson's game-winning punt return Sunday, which put me 50 thoughts ahead of Giants punter Matt Dodge. But in the end, I was left with this: There is no better place to be a sports fan right now than Philadelphia.

The Phillies are coming off their fourth straight postseason appearance and are the surest bet in baseball to make the playoffs next year. The Flyers just made the Stanley Cup finals and have the best record in the NHL. The Eagles are the most exciting team in the NFC, and maybe the best -- they seem destined for an NFC title-game matchup with Michael Vick's old team, the Falcons. (The 76ers? Well, they're struggling, but hey, a lockout is coming!)

The Progressive Tax is About Condoning Theft in the Name of Socialist-Style “equality;”

An excellent piece by Jedediah Bila on the Lefts obsession with other peoples' money - all in the name of "fairness", of course. - Brian

The Left’s Unjust “Justice”

on December 8th, 2010
Jedediah Bila

This past weekend, I had a conversation about extending the Bush tax cuts with a proud member of New York City’s Left.

I was called the usual names—unfair and ally of the rich—because I voiced that taxes shouldn’t be raised on anyone during times of economic distress. He retorted that “the rich” could stand to lose a few bucks.

That sort of thinking turns my stomach, to tell you the truth. Not only because it reminds me of our Redistributionist-in-Chief’s October 2008 unscripted reply to Joe Wurzelbacher that, “I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.” But because it’s profoundly un-American.

Conservatism's Quick Revival

The Key Role Of Limbaugh And Levin

by Tony Lee
12/20/2010  h/t Human Events

As the midterm elections and the lame-duck session of Congress clearly demonstrated, conservatives and conservatism are on the ascendancy.

Conventional wisdom after the historic election of President Barack Obama, though, hardly predicted such a quick revival. Liberal strategists were proclaiming 40 years of liberal dominance and many on the right were afraid to attack Obama, even his most liberal-leaning policies and pronouncements, for fear they would be called "racist."

Many figures -- ranging from Glenn Beck to Sarah Palin to Rick Santelli to the myriad of Tea Party organizers -- have been given credit for contributing to conservatism's quick revival.

None of these figures, though, would have been as successful as they were without the groundwork laid by two old conservative bulls -- Rush Limbaugh and Mark Levin -- when conservatism seemed to be at its nadir.

Those troubling murmurs coming from the Federal Communications Commission we told you about last week continue to reverberate.

If FCC commissioner Michael Copps (a registered Democrat) "gets his way," warns the National Review's Matthew Shaffer, "[radio] stations across the country could be put on probation, and subsequently denied FCC licensing, for failure to meet a broad set of criteria involving local coverage, percentage of resources devoted to news and several kinds of disclosure."

Copps insists he has no desire to reinstate the Fairness Doctrine, but Shaffer sounds unconvinced.

"It's not just talk-radio-loving conservatives who should be worried, either," Shaffer writes. "Richard Nixon used the Fairness Doctrine against his enemies list during his presidency, for example – every political faction can be tempted to abuse regulatory power. It's not difficult to imagine ways in which requirements that radio have more news time, more local coverage and less opinion could be used to muffle critics of any administration."

Consequences Of A Class-Warfare Agenda

When Timothy McVeigh bombed the Murrow Federal Building in Oklahoma City, Bill Clinton and the media couldn't wait to go before the cameras and microphones to declare that the bombing was the fault of - Rush Limbaugh.  They claimed that his criticism of the President and the Democrats had instilled a culture of fear and hatred toward the government.  It was only a matter of time before Limbaugh pushed the right button and a Timothy McVeigh would arise.
Fast forward 15 years - The President, the Democrats, and mainstream media have been dividing the country along economic and class lines nearly non-stop for the past 2 years.  The "rich" have now become any individual who grosses more than $200K a year.  The debate on the tax bill has reached a crescendo with the President accusing Republicans of being "hostage-takers" due to their failure to budge on extending current tax-rates to all Americans for another two years.  Claire McCaskill said that Republicans were "sacrificing" the middle class and that it might be time for people to "take up pitchforks".
Using the logic of the left, an oxymoron if there ever was one, could it not be reasonably argued that the arsonist stalking Cape Cod is driven to do it by the incendiary rhetoric coming from Barack Obama, Claire McCaskill, and the rest of the screechers on the far left? - Brian

By K.C. MYERS

December 12, 2010Police and fire officials are investigating an arson fire in Sandwich that has a disturbing similarity with a suspicious incident in Barnstable.

In both cases, the arsonist left a calling card, the message, "(expletive) the rich" at the scene.

At 3:30 a.m. on Nov. 24, flames engulfed an unoccupied home still under construction at 16 Boulder Brook Road in Sandwich. Only the exterior of the house had been completed. The home, which was valued at $500,000, had a three-car garage and three bedrooms, but no plumbing or electric service, Sandwich Fire Chief George Russell said.
