House GOP Needs Leadership Capable Of Playing Hardball With Obama

Posted by Brian

Now that the dust has settled, and the GOP establishment media have stopped falling all over themselves to slap Boehner on the back over his "victory" in the budget battle, details are emerging which confirm what many of us knew all along - Boehner got rolled.

Let's forget that Boehner went back on the GOP's promise to cut $100 billion from the budget, then $61 billion, finally telling us that they got Obama and the Democrats to "come up" to $38.5 billion. The reality is this:  Boehner lied through his teeth.  He lied to the country.  Worse, he lied to the ones who put him where he is - the Tea Party and conservatives.

The first sign that something was wrong was when stories started to trickle out, starting with Mark Levin being interviewed by Neil Cavuto, that accounting tricks put the cuts at much less than the $38.5 billion being touted, starting with $10 billion carried over from the previous continuing resolution touted on this resolution.  Worse, almost none of these cuts are included in the current fiscal year, which ends September 30, and will amount to only $352 million! For Boehner to go out and claim victory is a slap in the face to every American.  This is the kind of crap we expect from Obama, Reid, Pelosi, and the Democrats.  It's in their DNA.  But, when the GOP is this tone-deaf to what the voters said in November, it shows that there are a lot of Republicans that need to be shown the door in 2012, as well.

What Happened?

Boehner may be the worst poker player in the world.  No trip to to Vegas and the World Series Of Poker for this guy. He would get cleaned out at the neighborhood nickle-ante game.  Who takes the only hole card that they have and throws it face up on the table?  This is what Boehner did when he told Obama, the Democrats, and the rest of the world that the Republicans would not shut down the government.  This was the only leverage that he had.  He folded his hand before the game even started.

The supposed negotiations with Obama and Reid were apparently strategy meeting to see how much of the status quo could be maintained, how they could cook the books, and to come up with a statement that Boehner could deliver with a straight face to the public.

Boehner and House Whip Eric Cantor are not doing what the Tea Party, conservatives and millions of other Americans asked them to do when they sent Republicans to sweeping victories in November, and which gave Boehner and Cantor their respective positions.  They are not solving the budget problems that they were entrusted with.  They are now part of the problem.

GOP House and Senate leaders have not only been weak, but some have been hostile to the voters that put them there, joining Democrats in calling them "extreme".  Well, some of them may find out how extreme we really are come 2012 - when they find themselves out on their asses.

The Case For Home-Schooling - California Teachers support cop-killer

If teachers at the classroom level can't see that their union's have been taken over by Marxist's, socialists, and others from the most far left of the left, and that their membership dues are being used to fund every left-wing cause that comes around, I am going to really have to have the discussion with my wife on home schooling  At the same time, we as citizens are going to have to be more involved at the school-board level by running for local offices and getting other like-minded conservatives to run  and take back our schools.
This is a disgrace and an outrage.
California Teachers Support cop-killer

Between negotiating for more benefits and teaching their students, the California Federation of Teachers has adopted a resolution of support for convicted cop-killer Mumia Abu-Jamal.

At the CFT’s 2011 Convention in late March, the delegates passed 30 resolutions, from solidifying support for anti-bullying legislation to supporting transitional kindergarten. Among the resolutions largely pertaining to education and collective bargaining rights was Resolution 19 – to “Reaffirm support for death row journalist.”

White House visitor logs leave out many

A foot of snow couldn’t keep Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Jennifer Hudson and other celebrities away from a star-studded celebration of civil-rights-era music, hosted by President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama at the White House in February 2010.

Dylan’s haunting rendition of “The Times They Are a-Changin’” was a highlight of the dazzling evening. The digitally friendly White House even posted the video of his performance on its website.

But you won’t find Dylan (or Robert Zimmerman, his birth name) listed in the White House visitor logs — the official record of who comes to call at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., which is maintained by the Secret Service.

Ditto Joan Baez.

Similarly, the logs are missing the names of thousands of other visitors to the White House, including lobbyists, government employees, campaign donors, policy experts and friends of the first family, according to an investigation by the Center for Public Integrity.

Obama Meddles In Ivory Coast - Demands Christian President Step Down, Backs Muslim

IVORY COAST: Barack Hussein Obama demands Christian President step down so Muslim challenger can take over

Posted: April 7, 2011  Author: barenakedislam
In the Ivory Coast it was reported that forces loyal to the Muslim led forces of Alassane Ouattara have just massacred between 800 and 1,000 Christians.

President Laurent Gbagbo, who is Catholic, refuses to step down, despite call from the U.N, other African countries, and the United States.  His victory, and claims of fraud against his challenger, in elections held four months ago, was upheld by Ivory Coast's top legal body.

Obama, who didn't want to be seen as "meddling" in the Iranian elections, has recently found the will to meddle in other countries elections, protests and uprisings all over the Middle East and Africa.

He has been more than willing to call for Mubarak, Ghaddafi, and now Gbagbo to step down.  In Egypt and Libya, which have been called "democracy" movements, though there are multiple signs that the Muslim Brotherhood, and possibly Al Qaeda (in Libya) are behind, or are key in the organizing of these movements, Obama has had no problem backing the rebels.

Now we have Ivory Coast, which has a democratically elected President, which the islamists there don't want, and are slaughtering Christians in order to create chaos, and Obama backs the radical islamist who tried to steal the election through fraud.

At the time this is going being posted, Gbagbo hass been arrested by U.N. Forces and turned over to his successor Ouattara, the man responsible for the slaughter of thousands of Ivory Coast citizens.

Pray for Laurent Gbagbo

Obama Inspires Confidence...for Jihadists

New Poll: Only 32% of U.S. Voters Believe We Are Winning War On Terror

When Barack Obama took office in 2009, 54% of voters believed we were winning the war. Now only 32% feel that way, with 24% believing that the terrorists are winning. In addition, support for Libya is waning.

What is happening? In two and a half short years (though it feels like an eternity), Obama has destroyed the U.S. image overseas. Admittedly, there were countries that didn't like us. There always will be. But in Obama-world this is unacceptable. Everybody should love us. Why?  Obama doesn't live in the real world.  He lives in a socialist utopia vision inside his Orwellian head.  There is probably nobody more surprised by his complete lack of influence in foreign affairs.  After all, he's Barack Obama!  In his own words: "I have a gift".

The only ones who seem to be inspired by Barack Hussein Obama  are the radical jihadists around the world.  Unfortunately, the message that they are getting from his is that they can wear down the will of the United States, and that we will turn tail and run.

Obama has been President just over two years, and yet over 60% of casualties in the Afghan war have occurred on his watch, with last year being the deadliest for U.S. forces since the war began.  Combine this with Afghani's burning Obama in effigy, and things don't look good on the Afghan front.

Remember, it was Obama who, right after he took office, did an "apology tour" on three continents, talking about America's arrogance, and refusing to acknowledge American exceptionalism compared to other countries and governments.  This was the beginning of the rest of the world looking at the U.S. as a former power.  It was also the beginning of many of our enemies to see cracks in our armor.  Countries like Iran and N. Korea, and especially the islamists saw this as weakness.  Even political groups like the Muslim Brotherhood, socialists, communists, and anarchists are sensing the weakness.  As a result, we are now seeing uprisings all over the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and even Madison, Wisconsin.  Blood is in the water and the anti-American sharks are circling.

2012 is going to be a watershed moment for the United States.  Obama will be in full teleprompter campaign mode.  We can only pray that Americans are thinking "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice..."

Draft Allen West 2012

Tea Party Congressman on Budget Deal: We Need to Show American People We Can Do A Little Better
What do I like about Allen West? Up to this point, just about everything. Unlike the GOP leadership, he speaks in complete sentences, shoots straight, takes responsibility, and is a leader. Perhaps his biggest draw - he drives the left crazy.
This is not to say that I am completely "sold" on Lt. Col. West. I still want to hear more of his views on foreign policy and domestic issues before I jump on a bandwagon, especially since there is no bandwagon yet. But at this point, he is one of only a handful of Republicans who is speaking substantively about the issues. The leadership certainly isn't.

Mark Levin: Budget Deal is "Historic Scam"

Mark Levin calls out the GOP on (once again) caving to Obama and the Democrats. The current Republican leadership are weak, ineffective D.C. metrosexuals. Boehner, McConnell, Cantor, and the rest have no stomach for any fight with the Democrats. The Democrats know that they can hurl accusations at these dolts and they will fold like a house of cards. They appear incapable of mounting any kind of response to Dem talking points, no matter how outrageous those talking points are. There needs to be a movement within the party that tells these weak-kneed Nancy's to either strap up for battle or get the hell out of the way.

SEIU Looks Just Like The Tea Party!

Posted by Brian
Public Sector Unions Getting More Violent

SEIU Protestors - Don't They Look Just Like Tea Partiers?
The asinine accusation perpetrated by the media, that the Tea Party is made up of a bunch of violent, gun-toting, potential domestic terrorists, is usually countered by proclaiming union and leftist protests as being "celebratory". Well, the "celebratory" SEIU just had 17 party-goers arrested while trying to storm the Washington governors office.

These public employee unions,, as they get more bold, are also becoming more and more violent.  There have been arrests in a number of these protests, including Wisconsin and now Washington.  These unions claim to be "protecting" their members, and more ridiculously, carrying on the legacy of Martin Luther King, In reality, these public sector unions are only interested in gaining more and more power while simultaneously bankrupting the states in which they operate, all on the back of the taxpayers.

Let's be clear.  Public sector unions should not have collective bargaining power.  Private sector unions are a separate issue as they negotiate with private companies and CEO's.  Their negotiations are based on what the company can, or can't afford.  Public sector unions are negotiating with politicians, leveraging taxpayer money, to essentially hold government services, and thus the taxpayers, hostage to what they feel they "deserve".  The unions are given what they want by these politicians (great salaries, medical benefits, retirements), and in return the unions donate huge sums to these "friendly" politicians from money collected through union dues, which were confiscated from its members.  I say confiscated because in many of these state jobs, you are required to be in the union.  Not very democratic for a bunch that say "this is what democracy looks like".

Generally, these people want the taxpayer (their neighbors) to give them salaries that exceed what their neighbors make, top-of-the-line medical and dental plans, and cadillac retirement plans.  Oh yeah, and they want to pay next to nothing into these.  They want their neighbors to. while their neighbors in the private sector,  make less, struggle to pay their rent or mortgage, buy their own insurance, and pay into their own retirement, all after they pay federal/state/property/local taxes, they want them to pay for their pay and benefits too!

The public sector unions think we should just suck it up and give them what they want.  After all, we benefit from the 2-3 hours waits at the DMV, the great customer service we get when we call any government office and get put on hold for interminably long times, and the genuine feeling that they really care about your issues when you go to government office for help or assistance.

The problem is that we don't have any more to give.  We can't afford more taxes to pay for what they feel is their "right" to have.  This is the problem with the leftists. To them everything is a "right" if they want it - higher pay, retirement pay that pays as much or more than when they were actually working, cradle-to grave benefits.  And they want you and me to pay for it.

States and citizens are finally starting to realize this and are fighting back.  As such, the unions are also fighting back, a little like animals that are cornered, becoming more and more frantic, and thus violent.

Now is the time to keep up the pressure and keep moving forward.  At the same time, we need to communicate that our fight is with the union leaders and instigators, and not the rank and file member.  The union leadership is about power - political power.  Their members are for the most part, simply pawns in a much bigger game.  A game which will bring them down along with the rest of us.

Extremist Obama Presents Straw Men, But No Solutions Or Ideas

The President emerged from his latest meeting with Speaker John Boehner and Senate Leader Harry Reid empty-handed in the budget battle. His 5 minute press conference was spent telling us in dire terms what a "shutdown" of the government might look like.  It was the usual pablum of people being "inconvenienced" by a shutdown - not being able to get a passport, hundreds of thousands of people out of work, etc...

Lost in all of this is that the President has not presented a single proposal during this entire process.  Nor has Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, or any other Democrat.  Meanwhile the Democrats are pulling out the 1995 playbook, accusing Republicans of depriving senior citizens of meals, going like a "tornado through nursing homes", blah, blah, blah.  Yet the media, save Fox News, are mostly silent on the fact that Democrats failed to pass this fiscal year's budget last year when they held the House, the Senate, and the White House.  Presumably, the Dems punted on the budget because the poll numbers for the November election already looked dire for them, and another massive spending budget would have put a stake through their political hearts.  So instead of either Reid or Pelosi taking a principled stand  back in October, they both chose the cowards way out and punted to the new Republican Congress.

This battle is a purely political strategy by the Democrats, who thought they could re-create the 1995 budget battle, in which the Republicans lost the P.R. battle. However, it is the Democrats who are getting bloodied this time around.

If the Republicans don't hold their ground in cutting a measly $61 billion from a $3.7 trillion budget, it will not bode well for when they present the Paul Ryan budget later in the year, which addresses $6.7 trillion in cuts and  lowers spending to 2008 levels.  The Tea Party swept the GOP back into power to significantly cut spending, and for Boehner to fold now would be a betrayal to all who made his rise to House Speaker possible.

If the Dems feel like they get the best of the Republicans in this battle, they will smell blood, and be emboldened for the next fight.  Conversely, if the GOP bloodies the noses of the Dems, I fully expect the Dems to become even more vicious.  I welcome this as the Democrats will not be able to control themselves and will  expose their true socialist agenda, effectively lifting the veil on who they really are, and what they really stand for.

Obama: Gutless Wonder

Posted by Brian

Just finished watching President Barack Obama's press conference tonite. You know, the one he had to have after his meeting with Boehner and Reid.  The President looked tired and not very upbeat.  Probably past his bedtime, as it was nearly 11:00 PM before he finished his statement. Or, it may be that the polls are showing that the GOP holds the upper hand in this debate.  The Democrats tried to turn this into 1995 again, in which the Democrats benefitted from a government shutdown, but the dynamics are different in 2011.  For example, Congress was not trying to close an eye-popping $2.7 trillion deficit, as we are this year.

As he spoke of how a government shut-down would hurt the economy, while the economy is still struggling, he came to an awkward pause.  I guess he realized, too late, that by admitting the economy is struggling, he had just contradicted everything he had been saying for the last 6 months. During this time we have been getting nothing but rosy projections about the economy, including enthusiastic reporting of how McDonalds is hiring again.  I guess when Democrats create burger flipper jobs, that's a good thing.

After what was truly a downer of what was a rather short statement, but which seemed much longer, the President once again walked away, taking no questions.  This is the gutless wonder portion of this President.  He takes no questions in these settings, lest he actually be asked something in which he actually has to think on his feet.  With a teleprompter, or with questions submitted in advance, the President can look very good.  He is very good when rehearsed.  But he, and his handlers, know he is a loose cannon when he is off script.  He stutters, stammers, is unfocused, and comes across as less than knowledgeable in these settings.

His refusal to step up to the plate and confront tough questions doesn't only mke him seem weak.  It confirms it.

Dems/Unions: Voter Fraud Is Part Of Their Tactics

Posted by Brian
It is becoming more and more evident that part of the Democrat playbook in elections is the organizing of massive voter fraud campaigns.  Unions such as SEIU, and community organizing groups like ACORN, have been either suspected of, or caught red-handed signing up dead voters, signing people up under numerous fictitious names, using the the elderly and mentally handicapped, bussing them to polling places and "helping" them with their ballots.  They have gone into neighborhoods known to be high immigrant, both legal and illegal, armed with pre-filled absentee ballots, getting residents to sign them.  They use intimidation at polling places.  Unions and the far-left in this country are turning this into a third-world election system.  I will be posting or re-posting more on this threat to free elections in the comingweeks and months.
The union label is not red, white and blue anymore.  It's just red.

Evidence of Wisconsin Voter Fraud Emerges, April 5, 2011

Stand with Wisconsin Logo -
How Very Soviet-Like
There are reports coming in that there may have been voting fraud in the contentious Wisconsin Supreme Court race. In this race JoAnne Kloppenburg is challenging incumbent David Prosser. Prosser has been endorsed by many in both parties while Kloppenburg has heavy support from labor.

According to some sources, fraud may have played a role.

The Wall Street Journal sets the stage with an example from 2004:

That backing is based on real evidence. In 2004, John Kerry won Wisconsin over George W. Bush by 11,380 votes out of 2.5 million cast. After allegations of fraud surfaced, the Milwaukee police department's Special Investigative Unit conducted a probe. Its February 2008 report found that from 4,600 to 5,300 more votes were counted in Milwaukee than the number of voters recorded as having cast ballots. Absentee ballots were cast by people living elsewhere; ineligible felons not only voted but worked at the polls; transient college students cast improper votes; and homeless voters possibly voted more than once.

Much of the problem resulted from Wisconsin's same-day voter law, which allows anyone to show up at the polls, register and then cast a ballot. ID requirements are minimal. The report found that in 2004 a total of 1,305 "same day" voters were invalid.

Now we look at today, with the I Stand With Walker Facebook page reporting firsthand fraud:

So, Exactly What Does Constitute Tyranny?

Fried chicken with french friesImage via Wikipedia

To paraphrase a union chant: What does tyranny look like? This is what tyranny looks like!
When others can tell you what to eat, how many calories it can have in it, and how big the portions have to be, how is this not a form of tyranny?  I don't care if this is the health department or a Fatties United (F.U.) meeting.  As an individual, you should be the one dictating what goes into your body, not some do-gooder who claims that they are just trying to "help" you.  This is also a lesson in why it is a dangerous idea when government takes over health care.  By dictating what the "right foods" are to eat, and any number of other "behaviours" that may or may not be unhealthy, the government is given a defacto license to be tyrannical. If they own your body, then they own you.
Government health care hasn't even been fully implemented, and we are seeing kind of rules that can be imposed on individuals.  When one individual, or group of individuals, can dictate to other individuals what they can eat...well, if it walks like a Marxist and talks like a Marxist...

According to the Health Department, it’s about being consistent.

Burning Quran Much Worse Than Burning The Bible

"Hardball" Guest Bobby Ghosh Helped Perpetrate Hiditha "Massacre" Hoax

MSNBC's Hardball  program chose to have Bobby Ghosh as a guest to discuss the violence that has erupted over the decision of Florida pastor to put on trial, and burn a copy of the Quran.  Ghosh in explaining (defending?) the violent reaction of the Islamists in Afghanistan, explained that burning the Quran is much worse than burning the Bible because "the bible is a book written by men" and the Quran is "directly the word of God".  Chuck Todd, who was filling in for Chris Matthews, says later in the video that "Mr. Ghosh "has it exactly right".  He never challenges Ghosh on a single thing, but merely goes along with each point.
Actually Mr. Todd and Mr. Ghosh, Christians do believe that the Bible is the word of God and divinely inspired.  Yes, it was actually written down by men, but then so was the Quran.   I just have my different beliefs about who it was inspired by.
As for the Ghosh character - he is one of the writers at Time magazine who perpetrated the extremely damaging story of the so-called Haditha massacre during the Iraq war - a report that was later proven false, but not until after it had its desires effect.
It damaged President Bush, helped keep the pressure on to turn public opinion against the war, and created even more ill-will towards our troops overseas.

This is what passes for balance on this pathetic show and network.  With seemingly no journalistic curiosity, or hard-hitting questions, and certainly no challenging of guests when they make asinine comments, I still don't understand why they call this show Hardball.  With Chris Matthews' thrills up his leg, and apparent infatuation with the anointed one, perhaps a more apropos name for the show would be Hard-On with Chris Matthews.
