Nancy Pelosi is officially batshit crazy. Obama has been 'respectful" of Congressional Republicans? What cave did she fly out of?

Obama and the Democrats excluded Republicans from participation in meetings during the health care debate, going so far as to lock them out of the proceedings.
Obama made recess appointments while Congress was still in session. A violation of the Constitution.
Obama has said, and has gone around Congress using mandates from the EPA and other Federal Departments, which is in clear violation of the Constitutional separation of powers as per Article 1, Section 7.

He has been dismissive, condescending (both to Congress and the Supreme Court),  and has been petulant throughout his 3+ years in office when he doesn't get his way.

He has yet to submit a serious budget to Congress that can garner even one vote! That he can't put forward something well thought out, measured, and serious in the form of a budget is disrespectful not only to Congress, but to the American people as a whole.

Obama is not respectful of anyone or anything.  As a result, he is not respected here, or by other leaders around the world.  Contrary to his promises, we are not more respected now, we have been weakend both financially, militarily, and diplomatically by this President.

The only thing that may have gotten better during Obama's time in office is his golf handicap.

(CNSNews.com) -- House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) told reporters at her Thursday briefing that President Barack Obama "has been so respectful of the Republicans in Congress."



She was responding to a reporter who asked her to react to House Speaker John Boehner (R-Calif.)who said on Wednesday that  the “president has been AWOL since Labor Day” and that he “lacks the courage to lead on the economy.”

“The fact is this president has been so respectful of the Republicans in Congress," Pelosi said. "He has given them every opportunity for the executive and the legislative branch to work together, to have a solution that has bi-partisan support. He’s been criticized by some for taking the time that it takes to find out that they’re never going to give him a break, which is a compromise.”

Pelosi: 98% of Catholic Women Use Birth Control - Where Did That Figure Come From?

The Media Lie 
Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats have been repeating the same thing since the firestorm with the Catholic Church over providing free contraception in their health care plans - "Ninety-eight percent of Catholic women use contraceptives". Almost immediately I was dubious of the statistic. Where did this number come from? It was out there so quick, and the media was gleefully out there parroting it with literally no vetting of the "statistic". Pelosi and the Democrats said it, so they repeat it. No journalistic curiosity at all.
The number sounded way too high. Too me, it is reminiscent of the kind of percentage we hear about when despots get 98% in their rigged elections. In addition, the figure was touted immediately after the first inkling of opposition to the Obama Administration's mandate.
Well it turns out that the figure comes from an Guttmacher Institute (a liberal group that started as an arm of Planned Parenthood) study that was done in 2011. The study, called "Countering Conventional Wisdom: New Evidence on Religion and Contraceptive Use" (link here) doesn't seem to support the claims in the incurious media. Supplemental Table 3 shows that 11 percent of Catholic women use no method at all, and 4 percent use what is labeled "Other", possibly the 'rhythm method'. Those alone knock the number down to 85%. In addition, if a woman who falls into the 15-44 year age group, has ever used a contraceptive, even once, during her life she is lumped into the 98% group. The study also "refers to sexually active women who are not pregnant, postpartum or trying to get pregnant". Of this group, only 68 percent are using what is called "highly effective methods". These are listed as:

• Sterilization - 32%
• Pill or other hormonal - 31%
• IUD- 5%

 According to the study, the Dems and the media are spewing political talking points, spreading the propaganda/lie that 98% of Catholic women use contraceptives, as the study only looked at women in the age range of 15-44 who had ever had sex.
The next time you hear a "fact" or "statistic" being regurgitated by the Diane Sawyers', Brian Williams', or some hack up on Capital Hill, fact-check it. We know the media's not.

WH Senior Adviser: Unemployment Stimulates the Economy

Speaking in Durham North Carolina, and with unemployment rising to 9%, Obama advisor Valerie Jarrett is the latest statist to attempt to dumb-down the American public on economics. Like Nancy Pelosi before her, Jarrett makes the inane claim that unemployment checks are good for the economy. This follows her comment that  "we had" a bad economy. Had? This is the arrogance of the leftist. That she can sit there straight-faced, and imply that the economy is thriving, ignoring the suffering of people around the country, tells you how this bunch views the American public. Because they say it, we dolts are supposed to just ignore the economic ruin taking place in the country.
Look around you. Since 2009, gasoline (which affects the cost of everything) is up over 80%, beef is up 24%, bacon 22%. Inflation adjusted household incomes are going down. Your dollar today doesn't go as far as it did in in 2009.  Worse, it is the staples such as wheat and corn products, and all of the products that are dependent on those products, that are being affected.
And Valerie Jarrett wants the public to believe that high unemployment is a good thing? Amazing.

Pelosi: Religious Freedom Is An 'Excuse'

Pelosi, Democrats, and the left are in full screech about Obama's mandating that Catholic institutions provide contraception, against their religious doctrine. I wonder why Nancy Pelosi even continues to call herself a Catholic, as she has consistently stood against many of the doctrines of the church.  I suspect that it is more a political convenience at this point, due to the large numbers of Catholics in in California.
This attack on an organized religion though, is less about the Catholic Church and more a full frontal assault on the first Amendment of the Constitution.
This is not an attack on women.  No one is saying that any woman should not be able to go get birth control. Since when is a Catholic institution the only place that a person can get medications or contraceptives? There are drug stores on every other corner these days.  For poor women, contraception is free at Planned Parenthood.  No this is but one more attack on the Constitution and the very fabric of our society.
Leftist have for years claimed that the Constitution is a 'living, breathing document', which is their way of saying that they don't like what's in it, and they should be able to change it at their whim, whether through the courts, or with governmental mandates.  They don't like all of the messiness of actually having to go through the amendment process spelled out by the framers. That would require having to actually have an intellectual argument that would win over 2/3 of Americans to ratify their nutty, and dangerous ideas.

The Catholic church teaches that sterilization, artificial contraception and abortion are morally wrong and the Catholic bishops of the United States have argued that forcing a Catholic individual to purchase a health insurance plan that covers these things--or forcing a Catholic institution to provide such a plan--forces Catholics to act against their consciences and is a violation of the First Amendment right to free exercise of religion.

Pelosi: 'We Don't Really Have Much of A Connection' With Occupy

It appears that Nancy Pelosi is off of her meds again. This stuttering fool meanders through this answer, aimlessly searching for a cogent thought, spouting the worn Democrat talking points that the Tea Party is a "wholly owned subsidiary of the Republican Party". Meanwhile she claims that Democrats do not have "much of a connection" with Occupy Wall Street. Her argument is so convoluted that it is obvious, as she trips over her own words, that even she doesn't believe the crap that is spewing out of her commodious pie hole.
Saying the Tea Party is an arm of the GOP is about as ridiculous as it gets. The GOP power structure has been actively trying to marginalize the Tea Party and limit their influence. While they used the Tea Party to help regain power in the House of Representatives, and to sweep to victory in hundreds of state races in 2010, the leadership has been actively attempting to co-opt Tea Party candidates into falling in line with the status quo of the GOP moderate leadership, with far too much success.
On the flip side of Pelosi's delusional statement, Dems wholly embraced the Occupy movement at the outset (see video below), before news reports started showing some of these miscreants spouting Marxist doctrine, defecating in public, and reports of rape and sexual assaults. Now she wants to walk it back as Americans have overwhelmingly rejected the message and tactics of these ne'er-do-wells.
As inept as John Boehner is, Nancy Pelosi is far and away the dumbest person to ever hold the title of Speaker of the House.

(CNSNews.com) – House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) says she is “very glad” and “proud” that President Barack Obama appointed a director to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and three members of the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) without putting them through Senate confirmations.

Article 2, Section 2 of the Constitution requires presidential appointees to be confirmed by the Senate before they can take office unless the Senate is in recess or if the appointments are to inferior offices that Congress has legally given the president the power to control. When the Senate is in recess, the president can make temporary appointments that last only until the end of the next session of Congress.

However, the Senate was not in recess on Wednesday.

Pelosi fires back at '60 Minutes' report on 'soft corruption'

(CNN) -- House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi fired back Sunday at a CBS News' "60 Minutes" report that highlighted several instances of what it suggested could be "soft corruption."

The show looked at the investments of various lawmakers -- including Pelosi, House Speaker John Boehner and Republican Rep. Spencer Bachus of Alabama -- who reportedly bought stocks around the same time legislation involving those investments was being discussed.

Pelosi and her husband participated in an initial public offering of Visa in 2008, according to CBS. They bought 5,000 shares at the initial price of $44; two days later, shares were trading at $64, CBS said.

The network reported the investment came at the same time a piece of legislation that was opposed by credit-card companies was making its way through the House.

Pelosi: "Yes", The Obama NLRB Should Shut Down Boeing's Non-Union Plant In SC

Idiot Of The Day - Nancy Pelosi: Don't Connect Raising Debt Ceiling and Reducing Spending

The intellectually vapid former Speaker of the House once again treats us to her inarticulate meanderings into Washington-speak.

In this latest episode of wandering aimlessly in search of anything meaningful, she claims it's irresponsible to tie the increase of the debt ceiling to getting our budget under control. In her own words she states that we have raised the debt ceiling over 30 times since Reagan was president, which says to me that, aside from raising the debt ceiling more than once a year, Congress can't control their spending. Like drug addicts, even when revenues to the federal government increase, they spend all of it and borrow or steal even more to support their spending habit.
Just raising the debt ceiling is not going to solve this crisis. Without meaningful cuts and a responsible budget to assure our debtors that we are serious about getting our financial house in order, the financial markets are still going to lower the U.S. credit rating.
Nancy Pelosi is not an idiot for lying to the American people. For that, she is a dispicable troll. Nancy Pelosi is an idiot because she expects us all to believe the steady stream of lies that pour forth from her wrinkled pie hole.

The Democrat playbook for demonizing Republicans is as old as the party itself.  Pick an issue and the Democrats, with a compliant media, predictably will tell us that women/minorities/children will be hardest hit. Limbaugh was the probably the first one to make the observation. At least he was the first I heard make that point.  Now it has become a kind of sport for me, trying to determine when the spokesman for the Dems is going to break out the playbook, and which constituency they are going to target to spread fear through.
Today was a banner day for the Dems with Pelosi targeting women, and Obama hitting seniors, veterans, and the disabled all in one fell swoop.
Bravo Dems! I salute your moxie.  Besides that, I despise everything that you stand for.

This is what it has come down to.  Some liberal college professor, eating at a high end DC restaurant, goes on an apparently drunken tirade, excoriating Rep. Paul Ryan for ordering a $350 bottle of wine.  Keep in mind that she is eating at the same restaurant that he is. One where the appetizers start at $10.75.  AND he paid for the wine and his meal out of pocket.  Compare this to Nancy Pelosi charging up over $100,000 on "in-flight" services, including an alchohol tab that would make the late Ted Kennedy drool, to taxpayers.  Overall, she racked up $2.1 million over 2 years using a military jet as a personal taxi service.  How about John Edwards' $400 haircuts? This professor is typical of the limosine liberals who bitch and complain about "rich" Republicans while holding Earth Summits where attendees feast on lobster and caviar - while talking about ending famine.
Lyberal hypocrisy is alive and well.

House Budget Committee Chairman Rep. Paul Ryan and his party were accosted by a Rutgers Professor at a swanky Capital Hill restaurant Wednesday night for their choice to order two $350 bottles of wine with their meal.

“Susan Feinberg, an associate business professor at Rutgers, was at Bistro Bis celebrating her birthday with her husband that night. When she saw the label on the bottle of Jayer-Gilles 2004 Echezeaux Grand Cru Ryan’s table had ordered, she quickly looked it up on the wine list and saw that it sold for an eye-popping $350, the most expensive wine in the house along with one other with the same pricetag.
Feinberg, an economist by training, was even more appalled when the table ordered a second bottle. She quickly did the math and figured out that the $700 in wine the trio consumed over the course of 90 minutes amounted to more than the entire weekly income of a couple making minimum wage.”
