CNN's Deb Feyerick Not MENSA material? |
Remember the old adage our parents taught us of "Better to remain silent and let people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt"?
CNN's Deb Feyerick would do well to remember this. In a discussion with Bill Nye attempting to link the Nor'easter hitting New England with climate change, Feyerick suddenly brings up the Asteroid 2012 DA14, which is projected to pass within 15 minutes of hitting our planet, and suggests that global warming might be responsible for the extreme proximity of the passing asteroid.
She said, “We want to bring in our science guy, Bill Nye, and talk about something else that’s falling from the sky, and that is an asteroid,” Feyerick said. “What’s coming our way? Is this the effect of, perhaps, global warming?”
Deb Feyerick's question is so vacuous it inspires awe at its sheer inanity. Kudos to Bill Nye for having the titanic discipline to not laugh in her face.
