Obama's Long Crusade Against Guns and The Second Amendment

That Barack Obama and those on the left are calling for new gun control laws after the Aurora tragedy is not surprising. Leftists anxiously await each new tragedy with baited breath for an opportunity to politicize them - any tragedy.

Obama sometimes talks of supporting the 2nd Amendment, but his action and history belies his rhetoric.

Some of what Obama has supported:

Making it a felony if your gun is stolen and used in a crime.
Proposed increasing taxes on ammunition by 500%.
Putting a "safety" mechanism on a weapon which would only allow the original owner to fire it. I guess it would really suck for the family if the owner of the weapon is not home when the break-in occurs.
Appointing an Attorney General who has stated that we need to “really brainwash people into thinking about guns in a vastly different way” and supported DC's ban on handguns
Proposed Limiting gun sales to one per month (as does Eric Holder) (More on Eric Holder's anti-gun agenda)
Said the 2nd Amendment is about "hunting" and "target practice". (Wow!)

And the list goes on.

Being an election year, Obama will be very careful with not sounding too radical , but will call for "common sense" changes to gun laws, also known as "creeping incrementalism". He has already stated that since the Aurora tragedy that "AK-47's (which the Aurora shooter didn't have) belong in the hand of soldiers and not the hands of criminals", perhaps unaware that the U.S. military doesn't use AK-47's. Or maybe he's so familiar with communist countries like the former Soviet Union and China, it's just second nature for him.

Imagine an Obama 2nd term in which he doesn't have to run for reelection, and moderate his views and ideology on things like gun control.

In 2000, Obama, then a state senator, pushed anti-gun legislation--hard--after a 84-year-old woman had been gunned down by three gang-bangers who thought she had won the lottery.

Obama unveiled his anti-gun plan at a rally near the woman's house. "This home invasion is another example of how violence came close to home and we must have congressional action to help reduce gun deaths. Congress has been slow to act on these issues," he said. Rest assured, once elected to federal office, he would act.

Fast and Furious gun-running schemes resulting in murders of U.S. law enforcement agents, and Mexican citizens, in which the Attorney General is held in contempt of Congress for stonewalling the release of requested documents. DOJ suing states for enacting photo ID laws to ensure that ALL voters are legal and vote only once. The DOJ is not interested in pursuing the loss of $1.6 BILLION by Jon Corzine and MF Global who, coincidentally(?), were clients of AG Eric Holder's and Asst. AG Lanny Breuer's law firm.

The "most transparent administration in history"? What has become crystal clear is that Eric Holder has been the most corrupt, partisan, unethical Attorney General in U.S. history. Eric Holder should be fired and be given his own day in court of law for his flagrant abuse of power and politicization of his office.

House GOP 'Leaders' Goal Is To Fund ObamaCare

Two months ago, Speaker Boehner, in speaking of ObamaCare, said "everything must go". That was two months ago. Now he is indicating that he intends to fund it. Despite the fact that 60% of Americans now oppose ObamaCare, Boehner and company once again choose to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. As Neidermeier in 'Animal House' said, "You're worthless and weak!" He could have been speaking of John Boehner.

GOP voters and American's who cherish liberty need to vote in force in November. Our goal should not be only to have a landslide against Democrats, but to purge as many of the RINO's in Congress as we can. We can no longer tolerate the weepy John Boehner and his ship of fools. A wholesale coup needs to happen with the House and Senate GOP leadership, with those who are not afraid to stand up to Pelosi and Reid, and who also exemplify conservative principles, unlike Boehner who bends over and grabs his ankles every time Pelosi says "boo!"

This election is every bit about replacing traitorous RINO's where possible, as it is about getting rid of Obama and the Dems.

Obama Tells Audience "Our Plan Worked!", 8.6 Million Leave Labor Force

President Obama is now hitting uncharted territory with, possibly, the most delusional statement he's yet made on the economy. He can't possibly believe the crap that falls out of his mouth, so I'm can only conclude that this President, and this administration, believe that the American people are stupid enough to believe this tripe.

Let's see how well Obama's economic plan has worked:

June 2012
Unemployment (U-3) - steady at 8.2% (up from 8.1 in Apr)
Underemployed (U-6) - rose to 14.9%
Long Term Unemployment (> 27 weeks) 5.4 million or 41.9% of all unemployed
Discouraged workers - no longer looking: 821,000
Labor Force Participation: 63.8%
Americans who have left labor force: 8.6 million
Americans on Food Stamps (Apr2012): 46.2 million (1 in 7 Americans)
US GDP (1st Qtr 2012): 1.9% (Historical 3.25%) - GDP under 3% 6 of last 7 Qtrs (3% - 4th Qtr 2011)

In addition to all of the sunshine shown above, since June 2009 inflation adjusted income has plummeted under Obama by 6.7%. That is, the money you do make buys less.

I wonder what the numbers would look like if Obama's plan didn't work?

“We tried that and it didn’t work,” Obama said of Mitt Romney’s proposed tax cuts and spending cuts, which he dismissed as a Bush-style “top down” economic policy. “Just like we’ve tried their plan, we tried our plan — and it worked,” he added later in the speech. “That’s the difference. That’s the choice in this election. That’s why I’m running for a second term.”

Employers Begin Plans To Drop Employee Health Coverage

During the healthcare debate, Barack Obama and the Democrats told the American people that opponents claims of employers would drop employee healthcare plans were "untrue", and "scare" tactics. Well, according to the latest survey, nearly 10% of employers are going to do exactly that in the next 3 years, while another 10% saying they are not sure, and they are waiting to see how the law affects them.

What does this mean to those Americans whose employers "opt out" of providing coverage? Well, congratulations! You are now forced into the government plan. Failure to obtain insurance will result in fines administered by the IRS.

"But why would my employer drop my coverage? Don't they have to pay a fine if they don't?" The answer is: Yes, they do. But the fines are less than the actual cost of covering you covering you. Form a business standpoint, it is a no-brainer. This is not an accident. It was intentionally written into the bill that way. Initially, you may be able to obtain private insurance, but as private sector insurance companies, which will have premium caps, begin to go under due to government mandates, more and more Americans will be forced into the government exchanges. The goal of ObamaCare is to eliminate private insurance.

Currently, nearly 20% of employers are either planning to drop coverage, or are taking a wait and see attitude. As more details of the plan come out, expect this percentage to skyrocket, and your options to decrease.

Is Norah O'Donnell That Stupid?

When is a Tax Hike Not A Tax Hike? When You're An Obama Shill.

Leftists in the media are, more and more, intentional or not, exposing themselves for who they really are. Socialists. Leftists. Statists. Obama zombies. Because they are certainly not journalists.

Norah O'Donnell is, apparently, no exception. Weighing in on an economics discussion on the budget with Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) and Charlie Rose, O'Donnell and Ryan have the following exchange:

O'Donnell (with a vacant grin): “Congressman, you’re calling them ‘tax policy’ and ‘tax code.’ You’re afraid to call them tax cuts now?”

Rep. Ryan: “They’re not tax cuts, Norah, because they’ve been –” (Laughter)
“Because they’ve been the tax policy for 10 years.”

O'Donnell: “Come on, Congressman!”

Rep. Ryan: “Honestly, Norah. Keeping taxes where they are is not cutting taxes. Preventing a tax increase is preventing a tax increase. It’s not actually cutting taxes,” Rep. Ryan said.

So Norah, how far back should we go back for comparisons? Because, apparently a decade is not far enough. Is the media going to now say that if Obama "adjusts" tax rates to, say 50%, that it is actually a 20% tax cut, because the top rate under Jimmy Carter was 70%?

To answer my own question: Yes! Norah O'Donnell is that stupid! She is that stupid because she thinks that the average person can't see through her complete arrogance, and that her premise doesn't even pass the common sense test.

If O'Donnell isn't careful, people will start to believe that she is there only for her looks, because she certainly isn't demonstrating her superior intellect in these types of exchanges, where her guest actually knows the subject they are being interview about. She comes off looking only foolish and vapid.

Obama's Latest Lie To Veterans

When it comes to lies and pandering, Barack Obama has balls as big as church bells.

Speaking to veterans, Obama said that there is no reason for cuts to defense if "Congress" could do their job. Translation: Those damn Republicans need to get the hell out of the way, let me do what I need to do to weaken the country, and get on with fundamentally changing the country to a socialist utopia. Who in the hell do they think they are?! I'm Barack Obama!!

In another of his speeches to use veterans and the military for a photo-op backdrop, Obama says that Congress needs to come to a "balanced approach" that reduces the deficit and keeps the military strong.

What crap! Barack Obama is interested in reducing the deficit and taking care of veterans only in the context of political posturing during an election year. His administration has racked up $1 TRILLION plus deficits every year he has been in office! All of a sudden he is a fiscal conservative? He has not submitted a single budget which has gotten even ONE vote in Congress - from Democrats or Republicans. Harry Reid has not brought a single budget up for a Senate vote in nearly four years! Obama and the Democrats have not been serious about spending, deficits, or the boosting the economy since he took office. This is all smoke a mirrors. Election-year pandering.

Let's be clear about Barack Obama, and other leftists in Congress, like Reid, Pelosi, Rosa DeLauro: He neither likes, nor respects, the military, the people in it, or what he believes it stands for. He, like all leftists, see the military only as a necessary evil, and as a projection of imperialism. To him, military people are a bunch of warmongering rednecks who run around the world looking to shoot weapons and oppress others. After all, they enlisted! And, of their own free will!

If Barack Obama gave a crap about the military and our veterans, would he have proposed back in February that vets healthcare insurance costs increase by the following?

30 percent to 78 percent in Tricare annual premiums for the first year. After that, the plan will impose five-year increases ranging from 94 percent to 345 percent—more than 3 times current levels.

But, that isn't all. As part of that same proposal, unionized DOD civilians plans are not touched! Just the plans of our military men and women.

The Administration has admitted that the reason is to force military retirees out of TriCare and into ObamaCare! There's your friggin' "Hope and Change" for any vet who supports this jack-wagon. Nancy Pelosi said "we have to pass the bill so you can, uh, find out what's in it". So they passed it without reading the damn thing, and the more we find out what's in it, the more we find that it's a big sh*t sandwich!

So, while Obama and his Administration are out running commercials encouraging people to apply for food stamps and other government handouts, and over doubling the amount of people on food stamps alone(!), Obama would have people believe that the only place to cut the budget is one of the few things that is constitutionally mandated the government provide - the military. For you leftists out there, and I know it's hard to believe, welfare, food stamps and other government goodies are NOT constitutionally mandated. And no, the "welfare clause" is not talking about governement welfare checks. I don't care what your teacher or professor told you. They're wrong.

The truth is, Obama is, once again, using the military as a political pawns for his benefit. These are not the actions of a man who has respect and reverence for the men and women who willingly sacrifice themselves for something greater than themselves - something that Barack Obama has never done, not ever will. His allegiance is only to himself.

Dictators Of The World Unite! Chavez Endorses Obama

Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez weighed in on the upcoming American election with his preference for - who else(?) - Barack Obama. Chavez called Obama a "good guy", and said that he, and Venezuela, pose no threat. More likely, he meant to say that Barack Obama poses no threat to any of America's enemies as long as he is President, thus giving Chavez and other despots free reign to undermine U.S. interests around the globe.
So, one one hand, Chavez just sees Obama as a "good guy". Keep in mind that Chavez oversees, and Venezuela has, some of the largest oil reserves in the world, and is a member of OPEC. Venezuela, and any other country that controls the main source of fuel to the world, poses a major threat to the U.S. in this area. Venezuela, along with the other OPEC countries who don't particularly like us, are capable of creating major instability in the oil markets. The U.S., without a President and administration who project strength, and a coherent national energy policy, create an appearance of weakness, which our enemies are only too happy to exploit.
On the other hand, Hugo Chavez sees in Obama a kindred spirit. He sees Obama as a brother in his own vision of a worldwide socialist utopia. He sees Obama as intentionally weakening the United States, and bringing her down to the same level politically, economically, as countries whose governments and their policies have done to the citizens of those countries. It is not a good thing, in their eyes, to have a country like the United States out there show that there might be a better way of doing things. Of course, they will point to the U.S. as an example of greed/corruption/et.al. to their people, to illustrate the unfairness of our wealth, and how their socialism/communism provides "fairness" to all. They'll talk of how too much freedom is bad. Unfortunately for them, there are still many in these societies who either know, or remember, that what the U.S. has done has provided a better life for not only those who have gotten wealthy, but that even our "poor" have standards of living that are much greater than some of the so-called well-to-do in their socialist utopias.
That Hugo Chavez prefers Obama to Romney is not a surprise. Commies of a feather stick together. My question is: When are the Castro Brothers going to weigh in?

I believe that Roseanne Barr may actually be in the early stages of Alzheimer's, or Tourette's, though this may be an insult to those who actually have those diseases/conditions.. This isn't even coherent thought! What kind of drugs are they taking in Hollywood that makes them go this far off of the deep end?
