Egypt: Muslim B'Hood Targets Christians and Churches While Obama Golfs, Kerry Sails, and MSM Ignores

Posted by Brian

The mainstream media must be wondering how they could have gotten it so wrong.  The "Arab Spring" was something to be celebrated.  It was confirmation of the success of Barack Obama's foreign policy in the Middle East. It vindicated him to his Nobel Peace Prize critics. Only right-wing nut jobs could fail to see the glorious results that came from Obama's capitulating and kowtowing to the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.

Those of us who criticized the Obama Administration, the MSM, and a number of the participants for their apparent naivete' in calling this a "democracy movement" were roundly criticized.

Yes, there were people in Egypt who naively believe that democracy was what they were getting.  This included Coptic Christians who aligned with a movement which included the Muslim Brotherhood, communists/socialists, and other left-wing groups, in that so-called "spontaneous" uprising. Now it is the Coptics who are paying a bloody price for their trust in a Muslim Brotherhood which states openly of a worldwide caliphate in which Christians, Jews, Hindus, and all other religions have no part.

Muslims celebrate the burning of a Christian church in Egypt

Apparently the Coptics, and everyone else, forgot the Muslim practice of "Taqiyya", which is Islamic sanctioned lying to non-believers for the Islamic cause.

The media are covering the violence from the standpoint of criticizing the army for the bloodshed against "pro-Morsi" supporters (read: The Muslim Brotherhood), giving body counts of those killed and wounded in the clashes.  Since the Vietnam War, the media just loves body counts as the impetus for their stories.

What is also happening, but which is receiving scant notice from the MSM, is the pogrom being waged on Egypt's Christian population from the Muslim Brotherhood and radical islamists.

Over fifty Christian churches and institutions were torched over two days. (Story)
Nuns are being marched through town like POW's. (Story)
A Christian cab driver is pulled from his vehicle and beaten to death. (Story)
Two Christian sibling sisters are sexually harassed and abused. (Story)

Why are the MSM seemingly unconcerned with this side of the story unfolding in Egypt? I have two theories.

One is that the media are just shocked that they could have been so totally wrong about the Arab Spring, and what it represented.  Everyone was supposed to be singing Kumbaya by now.  This was the dawning of the "Age of Aquarius" and the "second coming" rolled into one.  It was Woodstock! Peace, love, and understanding!  The MSM have been totally invested in this completely false narrative of promoting about the Muslim Brotherhood as "mainstream" and "moderate". Events since the Arab Spring uprisings have shown that this couldn't be further from the truth.. To report what is really going on is to admit their complicity in the sham.

Two is that the media are really not that interested in this, because the Obama Administration are not that interested in it.  For all of Obama's bluster about this crisis, which is growing by the day, he and his administrations' actions tell a completely different story.  With a crisis like this, which can have global effects, you might expect that his Cabinet and top advisors would be meeting daily to address this as it unfolds.  But this President continues with his Martha's Vineyard vacation, golfing with his Bain Capital cronies, and others.  No problem though, right?  Surely his new Secretary of State, John F. Kerry is all over it, calling world leaders, and giving the President hourly updates on everything, right?

Uh, no.

John Kerry is of to Nantucket to work on his sailboarding skills. No better time than a crisis to work on your cutbacks and feel the spray of the ocean in your face.

So maybe that's it!  The media ignores half of the story because Obama is unconcerned himself with what is happening to the Christians in Egypt.  To him, they are acceptable casualties in an agenda which is much grander.  The continued weakening of the United States.  Not just on the diplomatic side, but in every conceivable way.

There is a better than average chance that what is happening in Egypt could have catastrophic implications to the world oil supply if, as some are concerned about, the Suez Canal is shut down.  If oil were to spike to $180, $190, or even $300 a barrel, it will have a ripple effect throughout the entire globe. Combine this with the fact that Obama and the leftists in this country have removed 40% of the corn food supplies for the production of the inefficient ethanol (which also drives up beef and chicken feed prices), and you have the makings of not only an oil crisis, but a global affordable food crisis.  Everything from food to clothes to electricity - EVERYTHING - would skyrocket in cost, creating a global recession/depression, and probably a World War.

With these kinds of implications looming, a reasonable person with common sense would expect the President to address this looming crisis.  With the Bakken Reserve alone containing more oil than the entire Middle East, the fact that Obama continues to hold fast to a policy of minimizing the US's ability to retrieve this vast resource, including the repeated blocking of building the pipeline from Canada, speaks volumes about his overall agenda - he doesn't want the US to remain strong.

What is going on in Egypt is a disaster for the Obama Administration.  Allies are publicly saying that Obama and the US cannot be trusted on foreign policy, and that Obama "no longer has any clear idea of his country's global role" (Story).

The mainstream media and the Obama administration have blood on their hands, and the media will do everything in their power to protect themselves and Obama from the American people hearing the truth of how bad it really is, and how wrong they really were, and continue to be.

NO FRIEND OF ISRAEL! Obama Calls Egypt's Morsi, Thanks Him For "Help" In Gaza Situation

Posted by Brian
Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi, member of the Islamo-nazi Muslim Brotherhood, who has vowed to stand by the Palestinians, and whose country has now fired missiles into Israel, must be feeling pretty smug right now.  Though openly hostile to Israel, America's strongest ally in the Middle East, President Barack Obama calls Morsi to thank him for helping to calm the Gaza conflict.
Regardless of what the vile Debbie Wasserman-Schultz has said, Barack Obama is not a friend to Israel, and neither is she.  For her to support someone who is as openly hostile to Israel, and its President, tells me this shmutsik sold out her people long ago, to follow her own selfish quest for power.

Obama Calls Egypt’s President Morsi To Thank Him For Helping “Calm” Situation In Gaza… Seemingly Unaware Morsi Threatened Israel Earlier In The Day…

Not only did Morsi threaten Israel but they crowd he was speaking to started chanting about killing Jews . . . and Obama thanks him for it.

(Reuters) – U.S. President Barack Obama called Egyptian President Mohamed Mursi on Friday to commend the country’s efforts to help calm the situation in Israel and Gaza and underscored his hope of restoring stability there, the White House said.

Egypt’s prime minister, Hisham Kandil, has said Cairo is prepared to mediate a truce in the growing violence between Israel and Hamas, the Islamist group that runs the Gaza Strip. Egypt’s government is allied with Hamas, but is also party to a 1979 peace treaty with Israel.

EGYPT FIRES ROCKETS AT ISRAEL!

Obama Administration continues to vote "Present" on the latest conflict in Israel, as Hamas, and now Egypt who has sided with Hamas, continue to rain rockets down on Israel.  Israel is reportedly on the verge a initiating a ground war, and have called up thousands of reservists.

Report: Rockets Fired from Egypt Hit Israel
7:27 PM, NOV 16, 2012 • BY DANIEL HALPER

Two major Israeli newspapers are reporting that rockets fired from Egypt have hit Israel.
"Terrorists in the Sinai Peninsula launched rockets into Israel Friday night," reports the Jerusalem Post. "The rockets fell near an Israeli village on the southern border, causing some damage, but no injuries."

The Israeli daily Haaretz reports, "Rockets fired from direction of Egypt toward Eshkol Regional Council."  It appears no damage was reported in connection with the rocket fire from Egypt.

Earlier today, the Egyptian prime minister visited Gaza to express solidarity with the Palestinians there.

Egypt: Obama, Clinton Back Islamists To "Guarantee" Democratic Rule

Posted by Brian
New Egyptian President, Muslim Brotherhood's Mohammed Morsi, is getting quite the welcome from the Barack Obama Administration. Obama rolling out the red carpet for Morsi to come to the US to meet.  When it happens, I wonder if Obama will leave Morsi alone in a room while Obama steps out for a couple of hours to grab a bite to eat, as he did with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton saying that the US backs Morsi against the Egyptian military's support of their constitutional court's order to disband their parliament.  The same Hillary Clinton who embraced and kissed Yasser Arafat's wife after the latter had said Israel poisons Arabs with the AIDS virus.

Now the US officially embraces the Muslim Brotherhood's Mohammed Morsi.

Mohammed Morsi, who is forging new ties with and supporting Iran and its madman Mahmoud Ahmadinijad.  Mohammed Morsi, who wants to "reconsider" its peace accord with Israel.  Mohammed Morsi, whose Muslim Brotherhood wants to install a worldwide Muslim caliphate, ruled by sharia.

My question is: How can a single Jewish American support Barack Obama and his anti-Israel, anti-Semitic policies?

Not all Egyptians are pleased with the Obama Administration's support of the Muslim Brotherhood
SEC. OF STATE CLINTON CHOOSES SIDES IN EGYPT: ISLAMISTS

by AWR HAWKINS  15 Jul 2012

As I have written in other posts, there is serious trouble in Egypt. Their constitutional court recently disbanded the nation's parliament in a bid to end the influence Islamists enjoyed there. Yet even as they disbanded it, the Egyptian people elected a member of the Muslim Brotherhood, Mohamed Morsi, for president. Meanwhile, Egypt's military is supporting the constitutional court's decision to disband parliament, thus Morsi and the military are estranged to say the least.

Brotherhood Representative Won’t Speak to Israeli Journalist
10:45 AM, JUN 26, 2012 BY THOMAS JOSCELYN

News channel France 24 hosted a panel Monday night to discuss Egypt’s first civilian president, the Muslim Brotherhood’s Mohamed Morsi. One of the guests on the panel, via satellite from Cairo, was Nader Amram, a member of the Freedom & Justice Party’s foreign relations committee. (The Freedom & Justice Party (FJP) is the Muslim Brotherhood’s political party.)

When Amram learned that an Israeli journalist was also included on the panel, he protested that he had not been informed beforehand that he would have to appear with an Israeli. He then launched into a mini-diatribe about how Israel is the real problem in the Middle East and refused to discuss matters further with the Israeli.

Obama Phones to Congratulate Muslim B'hood on Victory in Egypt’s ‘Milestone’ Election
By Patrick Goodenough June 24, 2012

(CNSNews.com) – President Obama phoned the Muslim Brotherhood’s Mohammed Morsi on Sunday evening to congratulate him on becoming Egypt’s new president, the U.S. Embassy in Cairo said in a Twitter message around 7 PM eastern time.

Earlier, White House press secretary Jay Carney in a statement called the Islamist’s election a “milestone” in Egyptians’ transition to democracy.

Egypt: Accuses U.S. of Spreading Anarchy, Obama Keeps Aid Money Flowing

Posted by Brian
When the "Arab Spring" broke out, leftists in the U.S. media and around the world hailed the riots in the Middle East and North Africa as "democracy movements. The were described as "organic" popular uprisings brought about by oppressive leaders, lest we confuse them with the "astro-turfers" of the Tea Party. The Obama Administration also cheered these events, first throwing Hosni Mubarak under the bus, and then Moammar Ghadaffi. Two scumbags, to be sure, but scumbags which could be kept in check.
To those who have been following this, we recognized this for what it was - a well-coordinated combination of leftists (Code Pink, CPUSA, & others), and Islamists (Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, Hezbollah) creating anarchy in the streets of Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, and elsewhere.  There were, of course, the typical useful idiots which became part of the protests. Liberal Christians in Egypt who worked in concert with the Muslim Brotherhood in the "hope" that things would improve. Of course it wouldn't, because the Brotherhood were only using these dolts to further their goals to gain power (which they have), and to begin instituting Sharia law as part of a greater Islamic Caliphate across the region. There have already been numerous attacks on Copt's and other Christians in Egypt and Libya, with burning of Churches and the killing of scores.  This was easy to see coming as the Islamists in the region are emboldened and see Obama as weak and indecisive.
Funny how Obama, when given a choice, always makes the wrong one.

Egypt state media accuses US of spreading anarchy
By Tom Perry | Reuters – 12 hours ago

CAIRO (Reuters) - State-run newspapers splashed accusations of a U.S. plan to spread "anarchy" in Egypt across their front pages on Tuesday, escalating a dispute Washington says must be resolved to ensure their continued military cooperation.
Based on remarks by a government minister, the headlines marked another low in the crisis between Washington and Cairo triggered by the investigation into U.S.-based non-governmental organisations that has led to criminal charges against Americans who have been prevented from leaving the country.
"America is behind the anarchy," declared the front page of Al Gomhuria newspaper. "American funding aims to spread anarchy in Egypt," read the front page of Al Ahram newspaper. The papers are two of Egypt's most widely distributed dailies.

Muslim Brotherhood Warns U.S. Aid Cut May Affect Egypt’s Peace Treaty With Israel
By Patrick Goodenough February 13, 2012

(CNSNews.com) – A top Muslim Brotherhood official has warned that any cuts in U.S. aid to Egypt could affect Cairo’s peace treaty with Israel – the latest sign that Egypt’s emerging political forces intend to call Washington’s bluff over the diplomatic dispute triggered by a crackdown on non-governmental organizations.
Egyptian judges have referred 16 Americans and 27 others linked to NGOs for trial, accusing them of using foreign funds to encourage disruptive protests. Among the targeted NGOs whose assets and funds have been seized are the U.S. government-funded International Republican Institute and National Democratic Institute.

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Tells Egyptians: Look To The Constitutions of South Africa or Canada, Not To The U.S. Constitution

Posted by Brian
h/t to Free Republic
Why do we have so many truly crazy decisions come out of the U.S. Supreme Court?  Well, maybe it's because we have leftists like Ruth Bader Ginsburg who believe that our Constitution is "old" and outdated. She made it clear while speaking to Al Hayat television that she has a problem with the U.S. Constitution, and that Egypt would do well to look at S. Africa, Canada, and the European Union for guidance on drafting a constitution and safeguarding human rights, intimating that the U.S. record on human rights is wanting.
Maybe Ginsburg should step down due to her disdain for a constitution which she has sworn to uphold.

Following are excerpts from an interview with US Supreme Court justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, which aired on Al-Hayat TV on January 30, 2012.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg: It is a very inspiring time - that you have overthrown a dictator, and that you are striving to achieve a genuine democracy. So I think people in the United States are hoping that this transition will work, and that there will genuinely be a government of, by, and for the people.

I met with the head of the elections commission. I think that the first step has gone well, and that elections have been held for the lower house that everyone has considered to be free and fair. So that's one milestone, and the next will be the drafting of a constitution.

I can't speak about what the Egyptian experience should be, because I'm operating under a rather old constitution. The United States, in comparison to Egypt, is a very new nation, and yet we have the oldest written constitution still in force in the world.

Let me say first that a constitution, as important as it is, will mean nothing unless the people are yearning for liberty and freedom. If the people don't care, then the best constitution in the world won't make any difference. So the spirit of liberty has to be in the population, and then the constitution - first, it should safeguard basic fundamental human rights, like our First Amendment, the right to speak freely, and to publish freely, without the government as a censor.

You should certainly be aided by all the constitution-writing that has gone one since the end of World War II. I would not look to the US constitution, if I were drafting a constitution in the year 2012. I might look at the constitution of South Africa. That was a deliberate attempt to have a fundamental instrument of government that embraced basic human rights, had an independent judiciary... It really is, I think, a great piece of work that was done. Much more recent than the US constitution - Canada has a Charter of Rights and Freedoms. It dates from 1982. You would almost certainly look at the European Convention on Human Rights. Yes, why not take advantage of what there is elsewhere in the world?

A Long Arab "Winter": Muslim Brotherhood takes 2/3 Majority In Egypt Elections

Egypt Islamists take two-thirds of 2nd-round vote

CAIRO | Sat Dec 24, 2011 1:08pm EST

(Reuters) - Egypt's two leading Islamist parties won about two-thirds of votes for party lists in the second round of polling for a parliament that will help draft a new constitution after decades of autocratic rule, the election committee said Saturday.

The party list led by the Brotherhood's Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) won 36.3 percent of the list vote, while the ultra-conservative Salafi al-Nour Party took 28.8 percent, pushing the liberal Wafd party into third place.

Egypt: Muslim Brotherhood, Radical Islamists Dominate Elections

Posted by Brian
Note to all of those who celebrated the "Arab Spring" uprisings as some spontaneous democracy movement, claiming that the radical islamists were a very small minority with little influence: you are now shown to be the useful idiots many of us were saying you were from day one of the Tahir Square riots. The Code Pink bunch (run by the leftist, anti-Israel Medea Benjamin), all of the liberal Christians who mistakenly think that they can be allied with the Muslim Brotherhood, the New York Times and the other leftist dupes in the media, and the Obama Administration all had it wrong.  While there were many of us conservatives who were saying that this was not spontaneous - it had the fingerprints of the Muslim Brotherhood, Hezbollah, and Iran all over it - we were all called alarmists, Islamophobes, and crackpots.
Dark times are coming to the Middle East.

Useful Idiot, Medea Benjamin showing solidarity with Tahir Square Protestors

Landslide: Islamists on track to dominate Egyptian parliament

The Journal says the unofficial split is 50 percent for the Muslim Brotherhood and 15 percent for the even more radical Salafists. The Times says it’s more like 40 percent for the Brotherhood and 25 percent for the Salafists. How it breaks out matters a lot, but the official results have been delayed a day (possibly to be “tweaked”?) so we’ll have to wait to game that out. Remember, though, that this first round of voting is happening in the country’s more liberal areas; if the religious parties are doing this well now, wait until the ballot moves to the countryside. Bottom line: A supermajority, or something close to it, of the new Egyptian parliament will be Islamist. Wonderful.

Anti-Israeli Rally In Cairo: "Kill All The Jews"

Posted by Brian

Over 5,000 people marched in a rally in Cairo to promote "battle against Jerusalem's Judaization",  with calls from attendees to "kill all the Jews".
Ynet reported:

Speakers at the event delivered impassioned, hateful speeches against Israel, slamming the "Zionist occupiers" and the "treacherous Jews." Upon leaving the rally, worshippers were given small flags, with Egypt's flag on one side and the Palestinian flag on the other, as well as maps of Jerusalem's Old City detailing where "Zionists are aiming to change Jerusalem's Muslim character."

Spiritual leader Dr. Ahmed al-Tayeb charged in his speech that to this day Jews everywhere in the world are seeking to prevent Islamic and Egyptian unity.

"In order to build Egypt, we must be one. Politics is insufficient. Faith in Allah is the basis for everything," he said. "The al-Aqsa Mosque is currently under an offensive by the Jews…we shall not allow the Zionists to Judaize al-Quds (Jerusalem.) We are telling Israel and Europe that we shall not allow even one stone to be moved there."

There were also chants from activists of: "Tel Aviv, Tel Aviv, Judgement Day has come!"

Back in March of this year, the Obama Administration was praising the riots in Egypt and across the Middle East, proclaiming it an "Arab Spring". Eight days into the riots the Obama Administration was calling on Hosni Mubarak to step down.  Liberal in the U.S. and in Europe were thrilled with this "democracy" movement that was sprouting up across the Middle East, from Yemen to Libya.  To the cheerleaders on the left, it never occurred to them that these were not spontaneous uprisings, but an organized movement.  They were, and still are incurious as to who might be behind them.  To these leftist morons the protestors were just people yearning for freedom. It was spontaneous and grass roots. It never even occurred to these useful idiots that the Muslim Brotherhood, Hezbollah, and Iran might be the catalyst and the organization behind the nearly simultaneous eruptions across the Middle East.  All of the so-called "news" organizations were simply reporting what they were told by the Obama Administration and from press releases from the Muslim Brotherhood, who assured everybody that they were just a "very small minority" of the protestors, and that they had no designs on taking over the Egyptian government.
Nobody saw this coming...except some of those on the right.  Talk radio (Glenn Beck, Mark Levin, Rush Limbaugh),  the alternative conservative media on the web, including a lot of us in the blogosphere, were saying that Cairo and the other uprisings were not spontaneous, nor necessarily a good thing.  The power vacuums left behind would be filled in by radicals who would be most likely backed by Iran, and the most extreme Islamists, who will set up Islamic states ruled by Sharia, and who have an ultimate goal of a worldwide caliphate.

For a look into the minds of who we are dealing with, and what so many either don't want to, or simply refuse to see: An elementary teacher who spoke to Ynet  gave this chilling look inside the minds of our enemy:

...elementary school teacher Ala al-Din said that "all Egyptian Muslims are willing to embark on Jihad for the sake of Palestine."

"Why is the US losing in Afghanistan? Because the other side is willing and wants to die. We have a different mentality than that of the Americans and Jews," he said.

Egyptians back in Tahrir for anti-military protests, 10 months

 after Mubarak’s ouster

Hundreds of thousands of Egyptians rallied Friday in Cairo’s Tahrir square with Islamists in the forefront to protest against what they say are attempts by the country’s military rulers to designate themselves as the guardians of a new Egypt. It was one of the largest rallied in Egypt in recent months.

Most rallies in Tahrir have been led by liberal- or left-leaning groups. But Friday’s rally was dominated by the country’s most organized political group, the Muslim Brotherhood, which has rarely come out in full force since the protests that forced President Hosni Mubarak to step down in February.

CAIRO (The Blaze/AP) — Ultraconservative Muslims turned out in force Friday as tens of thousands filled Cairo’s central Tahrir Square in a rally marked by a growing rift in the protest movement.

In one of the largest crowds to fill the square since the popular uprising that ousted President Hosni Mubarak in February, Salafis chanted for the implementation of strict Islamic law – spurring accusations that they violated an agreement to keep the rally free from divisive issues.
