Remember, these are the rebels who the Obama Administration is calling "moderate", and whom he wants to use US taxpayer money to arm and train.

All wars are vicious, but the civil war in Syria seems every day to set new standards for brutality. As the fighting rages in its third year, increasing numbers of atrocities are committed by soldiers and fighters from forces loyal to the regime of President Bashar Assad, as well as armed rebels and Islamic militants from the numerous, loosely aligned groups opposing Assad. Turkey funneling arms & jihadis into Syria

Turkey funneling arms to Syrian rebels. Ambassador Chris Stevens meeting with Turkish Ambassador in Benghazi the day of the Sept 11, 2012 attack on the US consulate. The speculation is that the US was funneling arms from Benghazi Libya, through Turkey, to the rebels in Syria in violation of the UN arms embargo.
This would certainly help to explain the clumsy way in which the Obama Administration handled the immediate aftermath, with a  ridiculous story about a YouTube video, and the subsequent information blackout about the whereabouts of both Hillary Clinton and President Barack Obama on the night of the attack.

While the world is subjected to stories of chemical weapon atrocities by the Assad government against rebel forces, which if proven to be true, are certainly tragic and worthy of international action at some point, there are reports of atrocities being perpetrated by the rebel forces which may be as bad, maybe even exceed the brutality of the government forces.

Reports of beheadings, gang rapes and executions of teenage girls, and the eating of internal organs by rebel forces have gone virtually unreported in the western press.

Being that the rebels are who the Obama Admin have thrown in with, it might be pertinent information for our people to understand exactly who, or in this case, WHAT it is our leaders have allied with.

Eleanor Holmes Norton would vote for a "Slight Bombing" of Syria out of "Loyalty" to Obama

Washington, DC Representative Eleanor Holmes Norton speaking by phone to Bill Press on his radio program that, said that if she could, she would vote to do a "slight bombing" of Syria in order to show loyalty to Barack Obama, and to prevent him from being "shamed and humiliated on the national stage".

Her statements are so wrong, on so many levels, that it takes your breath away.

Starting with her comment of the US conducting a "slight bombing" to "somehow punish or deter somebody".  This is the comment of an unintelligent, unthinking person. Ask the people who are being attacked how "slight" the bombs being dropped around them feel, or if the family of the person killed by the slight bombing are comforted by the fact that the bombing was only "slight", or "unbelievably small".

Another thing Congresswoman Holmes Norton: Does the United States go to war or attack other countries to show loyalty to a President, this one or any other one, or to save him from being humiliated or shamed? The answer to that would be "NO".

Another sad thing is that Bill Press doesn't even try to challenge her on any of this.  It's pathetic!

If a person wants to understand what is going wrong with this country, this is it in a nut shell!  We have people in Congress who have either zero knowledge of the Constitution, or worse, don't even care about it, combined with a national press that is so invested and complicit in seeing to it that our first black president is successful, that they cover for him regardless of what it is he does.  Apparently this includes taking us to war, if it saves face for the President.

This isn't embarrassing.  It's downright scary.  To think that the worlds biggest super-power is being run by a petulant, ego-maniacal man-child who is driven by utopian fantasies and messianic grandeur, with virtually no savvy in real-world politics is frightening.

The manner in which this has played out is reminiscent of an old GEICO commercial (below) set in a nice Italian restaurant, where Charlie Daniels (Putin) plays the strings off of a fiddle, and then hands it back to the roving violin player (Obama), with the admonition, "That's how you do it, son". 
Like the violin player, Obama just looks small and confused.

Screwed Again! Obama Ignores Federal Law, Cuts Military Pay Raise to 1%

A mere three months after treating his family to a $100 million Africa vacation, and only several weeks removed from his annual Martha's Vineyard jaunt, President Obama is slashing the annual military pay raise by nearly 50%.

Citing "serious economic conditions affecting the general welfare...we must maintain efforts to keep our Nation on a sustainable fiscal course", Obama informed Congress of his intention to ignore federal laws (yet again) for determining military pay increases.

Of course, Obama has found the taxpayer money to provide $70M in bonuses to IRS agents who used their positions to harass conservative and religious groups, and $2.2 million to study why 75% of lesbians are fat.  Oh, and of course he's preparing to spend untold millions of dollars launching missiles into Syria, despite the disapproval of 80% of Americans, using "his" military.

How does Obama view the men and women of "his" military?

If approved, this will mark the 4th straight year that our service men and women have been given raises less than 1.7% or less, which are even less than those given during the years of the Clinton Presidency, which averaged about 2.5% annually.

Translation: "Let them eat cake".

Ed Asner: H'wood Actors Afraid To Criticize Obama for Fear of Being Labeled as Racists

Ed Asner (L), and Mike Farrell (R) are two actors who openly oppose Obama's plans to attack Syria.  Most refuse to criticize Obama for fear of  being seen as racist.

"I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration somehow you're not patriotic. We should stand up and say we are Americans and we have a right to debate and disagree with any administration."

Once you get past the eardrum-splitting screech, Hillary Clinton is correct in the quote above.  In fact, Hillary was praised and lauded by the media and those on the left for her bravery and passion.
  
Ten years later, not only is it unpatriotic to disagree with the Obama Administration, you are now a racist for doing so.  

Our first black President, whom all said was ushering in a new era of post-partisan and post-racial politics, is not only "not" to be debated or challenged on anything, but never to be criticized.  To do so is to anathema to being a member of the Ku Klux Klan.  There is no criticism to be tolerated of Barack Hussein Obama, and guys like Chris Matthews are there to point out how all critics of Obama are racist.

Therefore, it will be interesting to see how guys like Matthews treat Ed Asner's claim (see story below) that the Hollywood anti-war left are fearful of coming out against Obama on attacking Syria, for fear of being attacked by the media and this administration as racists. So all of these idiots on the left, like Janeane Garafolo, who was a leading voice of calling any criticism of Obama racist, are now afraid to criticize Obama for fear of being seen as racist.

Obama's sycophants have twisted themselves into such pretzels in defending him against any criticism, even that which is deserved, that they have now succeeded in silencing themselves.

Does Obama know he’s fighting on al-Qa’ida’s side?

If Barack Obama decides to attack the Syrian regime, he has ensured – for the very first time in history – that the United States will be on the same side as al-Qa’ida.
Quite an alliance! Was it not the Three Musketeers who shouted “All for one and one for all” each time they sought combat? This really should be the new battle cry if – or when – the statesmen of the Western world go to war against Bashar al-Assad.
The men who destroyed so many thousands on 9/11 will then be fighting alongside the very nation whose innocents they so cruelly murdered almost exactly 12 years ago. Quite an achievement for Obama, Cameron, Hollande and the rest of the miniature warlords.

Obama Goes Wobbly On Syrian Chemical Weapons "Red Line"

President Obama has said that if Syria were to use chemical weapons, it would be a "game changer", and is a "red line" that "will have consequences".
Britain, France and Israel have all said that they have confirmed through soil samples that Bashar Assad has used chemical weapons of mass destruction in both Aleppo and Damascus.
Jonathan Karl asked White House Minister of disinformation Jay Carney if the White House is taking any action now that Syria has crossed that "red line". Carneys's answer? Not really.
Saying that the White House needs to "assess the reports of chemical weapons use" from three allies, they need to continue to "monitor, investigate and verify any credible allegations", Carney then re-stated that Syria's use of chemical weapons is "unacceptable".
This is just more of the circular fan dancing we repeatedly get from the Obama Administration on virtually everything.
"Oh! They crossed the red line?  Well, move it back a little more.  Now, THIS is the real red line that you can't cross, and I REALLY mean it this time!"
Is it any wonder that N. Korea, Iran, and nearly every other regime hostile to the United States, has little regard or respect for what this President says? He's a clown! Obama thinks that the Hugo Chavez' of the world are laughing with him, while they are laughing AT him. Everyone but Obama himself, the Obama zombies who voted for him, and his liberal sycophant followers here in the media see him as a joke.
Mr. President, the first rule of drawing a line in the sand to your enemies:  You better be prepared to follow through on your tough talk!  They might just call your bluff.

Syrian rebels: "More interested in a holy war (Jihad)  than changing the government."

Sometimes, the enemy you know is better than the enemy you don't know.
U.S. backed Syrian rebels are turning a campaign to oust Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad from power, into an islamist jihad.  Gee! Where have we seen this before? Like Egypt's so-called "Arab Spring", which was touted as a Middle Eastern democracy movement intended to rid Egypt of Hosni Mubarak , and install democratic governance to the country, this too is devolving into an islamist jihad, whose intentions are to put in place radical Islamic sharia-based government to be subject to a worldwide caliphate.
It is apparent that the jihadist savages are sensing the coming power vacuum and through fear, intimidation, and brutal savagery, positioning themselves to fill that vacuum with hard-line pro-Iranian/anti-Israel islamists.
Meanwhile, Barack Obama and his administration are virtually mum on the ongoing atrocities in the Middle East.  After all, he has an Inaugural celebration to plan, which is guaranteed to dwarf all previous ones in  cost, pageantry, and opulence. He can't be bothered by a few Christians being beheaded by islamist savages, even if we are providing them with weapons and god know what else.

It seems there’s no lowest point to the depravity of those murdering the innocent in Syria, and that includes atrocities carried out by those whom the West has decided to support. With each new atrocity, one can’t help thinking “It couldn’t be worse.” Well, it just got worse.
A leading nun in Syria is reporting that a young Christian man in Syria was beheaded by jihadi rebels who then fed his mutilated body to dogs.
Speaking to Britain’s Sunday Times, Agnes-Mariam de la Croix – who is mother superior of the Monastery of St James the Mutilated located between Damascus and Homs – said of the incident which occurred in early December: “They beheaded him, cut him into pieces and fed him to the dogs.”

Ben Stein: The "Arab Spring" Is A Fraud

Interesting piece by Ben Stein about the so-call "Arab Spring" democracy movements across the Middle East.   Ben points out those things that the media has either willfully, or through sheer lack of intellectual curiosity, failed to report:  That all of the movements, after the dust has settled, end up being anti-Israel, pro-Iranian, and anti-Western.  It doen't take a superior intellect, of which Stein is, to see what isright in front of our faces.  Yet the media seems scared to tell the public the truth about what is happening in the Middle East and the effects that all of this could have on a gobal scale.  Hat tip to Ben Stein on having the guts to say what the left-wing media won't.

Armed men roam the streets, some of them teenagers, apparently militia bristling with what look like freshly issued bandoliers and weapons.


It is said to be the village of Albaida near Hama. The paramilitaries mingle among what look like regular soldiers in the village square.
