McCain: Rand Paul or Hillary Clinton in 2016? "It's Gonna Be A Tough Choice"

If there were any lingering doubts about John McCain being a conservative leader in the GOP, although I don't see how that's possible, he certainly put those to rest in a recent New Republic interview.

Asked about his vote if the 2016 election came down to Rand Paul or Hillary Clinton, McCain chuckled that it would be "a tough decision".  This could be written off as McCain just being cheeky, but for his effusive praise of Hillary, at one point calling her a "rock star". All this, while lumping in Rand Paul with Mike Lee and Ted Cruz, whom he has called a "wacko bird, in a discussion about Marco Rubio's "bright future" in the GOP.

So according to John McCain, Rand Paul and others in the GOP who actually stand up for the conservative principles of small government and secure borders don't have a bright future in the GOP.

Others whom McCain named on his list of the right kind of people were Lindsay Graham ("like a son to me"), Kelly Ayotte (turncoat who ran as a "Tea Party" candidate), the despicable Chuck Schumer, and equally abhorrent Carl "Leaky" Levin ("as close as two people can be").

I have news for Senator McCain. These so-called "wacky birds" (read: conservatives) might just have a much brighter future than he gives them credit for.  Not because they, like he, are willing to compromise their principles, but because they refuse to, at least for now.  On the other hand, it is the John McCain's, Lindsay Graham's, John Boehnor's, and Chris Christie's of the party who need to be looking over their shoulder come 2014 and 2016.

Conservatives are pissed. There will be more than a few establishment RINO's primary'd in upcoming elections, and Senator McCain will hopefully be one of them.

Lindsay Graham: "You've Hijacked Him!"

Senator John McCain, whom the left likes to portray as a "maverick", went on CBS' This Morning lamenting how all the scandals facing the Obama White House are damaging the President's "credibility", and encouraging him to put them behind him so he can lead on all of the problems facing the country.

Really, Senator McCain? A little news flash for you here. Most of the problems facing the country are the result of this President's so-called "leadership" and his policies!

John McCain is now the poster-child for what is wrong in Washington, D.C. The senior Senator is now openly advocating for what is arguably the most corrupt administration in this nation's history. While Nixon, with all of his paranoia, wished to use the IRS against his political enemies, the Obama administration has actually used them, along with the EPA, the Department of Justice, and who knows what else.

Numerous Obama appointees and cabinet members have either stonewalled or perjured themselves before Congress in administration scandals  ranging from the Fast and Furious gun-running scandal, to The IRS and Benghazi.  In addition Obama his self has lied directly to the American people time and again, confident that the media won't call him on them.  His promise to the American people before his first election victory, that he would not have lobbyists anywhere near his administration lasted exactly three days.  The media reaction? No big deal.

Obama's lies to American's on ObamaCare are numerous:

Obama claimed numerous times to the media and in campaign events that he did not support single payer (socialized) health care or destroying private health insurance. Yet in this interview [ Video ] , which the media conveniently hid from the American people, Obama clearly states that he intends to ultimately destroy private health insurance, and that a single payer system be put in place in 10 to 20 years.

Obama and the media also skewered Sarah Palin and others for exposing the existence of death panels in the ObamaCare bill, calling them conspiracy nuts and worse. Yet, when Paul Krugman admitted [Video] that these panels do, in fact, exist within the legislation, the media response was silence.

Obama also said that ObamaCare was not a tax increase, correcting George Stephanopolous on national TV, saying "that's just not true, George",  Yet, when the Obama administration lawyers argued the Constitutionality of ObamaCare before the Supreme Court, that is exactly what the argued it was, and a 5-4 Supreme Court split of the court outrageously agreed that it is a tax increase, and thus constitutional.

Now we have AP wiretaps, Benghazi, and the IRS and EPA scandals, and Obama Administration persons are lying and perjuring themselves all over the place.  In comes John McCain to Obama's rescue.

Even McCain stalwart Lindsay Graham is flummoxed by MeCain's cozy new relationship with the liar-in-chief, saying “I’m getting nervous,” said Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), McCain’s closest friend in the Senate. “I told Denis McDonough, ‘I don’t know what you’ve done: You’ve hijacked him.’”

McCain is up for reelection in 2014.  Let's make sure he is defeated in the primary.  It's well past time that this Benedict Arnold to conservatives and the Constitution be put out to pasture.

Don't Blame Apple. Congress CREATED The Tax Code!

During hearings on Capital Hill regarding Apple Inc. tax strategies, Sen. John McCain said, "For years, Apple has opted to forego fully contributing to the U.S. Treasury and to American society by shifting profits and circumventing U.S. taxes." MacCain also stated that, "Apple claims to be the largest U.S. corporate taxpayer, but by sheer size and scale, it is also among America's largest tax avoiders. A company that has found remarkable success by harnessing American ingenuity and the opportunities afforded by the U.S. economy should not be shifting its profits overseas to avoid the payment of U.S. tax, purposefully depriving the American people of revenue."

Ahem. This is the talk of a big government statist.   At no time does it occur to Senator McCain, or any of the other leeches on the Senate panel, that perhaps it is the tax laws and confiscatory rates imposed by them which encourage not only Apple, but numerous other U.S. multinational companies to use the so-called corporate "loopholes", which are legal and which Congress created,and to set up off-shore offices in countries in which they put their money from their international business.  Maybe if the tax system in the U.S. wasn't such a massive leviathan, and the tax rates were set at a level which was fair for all individuals and businesses alike, there would be no need for "loopholes", subsidies, or other things that most people do, not to "avoid" taxes, but to ensure that they pay only that which they "legally" owe.  Loopholes are not cheating.  Loopholes are an admission by the government that the tax rates are too high and confiscatory.  Businesses have an obligation to themselves, and to their shareholders, to pay only the maximum amount of taxes that they are legally required to pay. PERIOD!

Senator McCain and the rest of these idiots are the ones who created this tax nightmare.  It is not only human nature to legally pay the lowest tax rate possible, but it makes good business sense.  If you are a multinational company, it only makes sense to set up offices in a country that provides you the lowest tax rate possible.  Does it make sense to set up an office in Ireland, which has a 12% corporate tax rate, or to continue bringing your money back into the U.S., which has a 35% corporate tax rate, which also happens to be the highest corporate tax rate in the industrialized world?

No, the issue isn't with Apple, or any of the multitude of other companies which do the same thing.  Apple is singled out because of it's status.  The issue is with a government which is drunk on power, spends like there is no tomorrow, and is hell-bent on stealing more and more of the fruits of everybody's labor, while the debt spins out of control and they mortgage the future of the country.  While they've pissed away the mortgage, they now want to kill the Golden Goose which provides the wealth - the private sector which powers the economic engine.

It's well past time that Senator McCain got the hell out of the way, and for those in Congress who are actually interested in getting back to a Constitutional government, to start really pushing for the Fair Ta, and educating the public on how that simpler, fairer system benefits everyone.

Never let it be said again that Lindsay Graham is a man of principles.  Upset over Rand Paul's filibuster last night over the Obama Administrations refusal to give a yes or no answer to drone strikes on U.S. soil, and demanding an answer from the Obama Administration before allowing a vote on John O. Brennan for CIA Director, Graham stated, “I do not believe that question deserves an answer.”

Graham continued, saying that he was inclined to vote against Brennan prior to the filibuster, but “I am going to vote for Brennan now because it’s become a referendum on the drone program.”  What a man of principle! 

First of all 'Goober', the Brennan nomination is NOT a referendum on the drone program, you idiot!  The filibuster was about holding up the nomination to force this lawless administration to give a straight answer to the questions raised by Attorney General Eric Holder's statement, “It is possible, I suppose, to imagine an extraordinary circumstance in which it would be necessary and appropriate under the Constitution and applicable laws of the United States for the President to authorize the military to use lethal force within the territory of the United States.”  Paul and others asked for clarification from the administration on an extremely troubling statement, and receiving none, prompted the filibuster.

Second. That you would switch your vote on a troubling nominee like Brennan because you are butt-hurt at a colleague smacks of the worst kind of crony, inside Washington politics.  Your behavior, not Rand Paul's, is what the American people are sick of, Mr. Graham.  While Rand Paul was standing on principle on the floor of the Senate for nearly thirteen hours, neither you, nor you butt buddy John McCain, couldn't be bothered to make an appearance on the Senate floor to either support or disagree.  Instead you were having dinner with the very man whose administration continuously stonewalls and lies to Congress and the American people.

I got news for you Senator Graham;  you and John McCain are not the only show in town any more.  Truth be told, your show was more like a freak show anyway.  Like a train wreck, people watched because no one ever knows if you two will stand for the Constitution, or throw the American people under the bus.  More often, it is the latter.  Now there are some new faces in town who actually do stand on conservative principles (Video), and the Constitution, and you feel your power and influence slipping away.  These men, Rand Paul, Mike Lee, Marco Rubio, Tim Scott, Ted Cruz, Ron Johnson, and Jeff Flake, among several others, are the new guard.  Not "new guard" in the sense of just new faces who will continue the disastrous way things are done in Washington now, but new in that they are there to shake up the current power structure and return our government back to its Constitutional roots - one that works for the people, and doesn't lord over them.  

You, Senator Graham, represent the latter, and "we the people" are sick of it!

Liberal House Women Call McCain a Racist and a Sexist

Karen Bass (D-CA), right, can't hide her amusement at Rep. Gwen Moore's (D-WI) faux outrage.

Just for starters:  I am no fan of John McCain.  There are some issues which I agree with him on, but there are numerous things that I disagree with him about. John McCain is no conservative. In fact, he is the quintessential RINO.
That said, this circus act that was performed by a group a women from the House of Representatives, in which the accused John McCain of being a racist and sexist, was nothing more than political theatre.
First is the statement by the newly crowned leader of the Congressional Black Caucus, Representative Marcia Fudge (D-OH) who made this statement in reference to McCain's comments that Ambassador Susan Rice is not "very bright" or "qualified" to be Secretary of State:

“There is a clear, a clear in my opinion, sexism and racism that goes with these comments that are being made by, unfortunately, Senator McCain and others,”

Fudge also said:

 “All of the things that they have disliked about things that have gone on in this administration they have never called a male unqualified, not bright, not trustworthy. I don’t recall it ever happening,”

Really?  She's never heard this things said about a man? Not even a Republican man, like say, George Bush? She doesn't remember the truly despicable Pete Stark (D-CA) calling President Bush a "liar" on the House Floor twice in one speech?  How about Harry Reid calling Bush a "liar" on more than one occasion, or Reid telling a group a school children that Bush was a "loser"? Does she remember that?  Maybe she remembers a former President, Bill Clinton, calling a sitting President, GW Bush, "Unqualified" to be President?

It doesn't matter.  This is faux outrage meant to give the President cover, and has little to do with Susan Rice anyway. That this was just political theatre, you need to look no farther than the reaction of Karen Bass (D-CA) to comments from Rep. Gwen Moore (D-WI) at about the :38 second mark of the video, in Moore who speaks of the "unmitigated gall" of John McCain.  Bass can't contain her amusement at the whole thing.  She's not angry, and neither are the rest of these hacks. This is a poorly written play, acted out for the cameras and the media.

The fact is, is that Susan Rice is not qualified for Secretary of State.  She has not the temperament, nor since Benghazi, the credibility for the position.  McCain was right, and no amount of this type of posturing will change that.

Taxpayers Get Stuck With Bailing Out...The Senate Barbershop?

Car companies. Financial institutions. Now it is being reported that taxpayers have bailed out the Senate barber shop. Some of the Senators were surprised to hear of the bailout, but others defended it, calling one of the barbers "an institution". Senator John McCain joked that he calls barber Mario D'Angelo "the butcher", and the he has "the scars to prove it".  I'm glad that John McCain thinks that using taxpayer money money to bail out a barber shop is something to joke about.  The rest of us aren't laughing.

America’s most distinguished leaders get their hair cut at the Senate barbershop, but taxpayers are the ones really getting clipped.

The barbershop ran almost $300,000 in the red last year but received an infusion from Senate coffers that is keeping it in business, the Senate sergeant at arms, Terrance Gainer, told The Daily.

A federal bailout isn’t that unusual since the economic downturn, but some senators didn’t even know their salon was in hot water — and don’t think it should be, considering what they pay for a little off the ears.
