In a New York Times opinion piece on March 21, 2010 (Read Article Here), the lying Krugman wrote the following:
"...the campaign of fear hasn’t been carried out by a radical fringe, unconnected to the Republican establishment. On the contrary, that establishment has been involved and approving all the way. Politicians like Sarah Palin — who was, let us remember, the G.O.P.’s vice-presidential candidate — eagerly spread the death panel lie,..."
Paul Krugman, speaking at what appears to be a synagogue this week told parishioners that death panels and a value added tax will be needed to pay for the rising costs of Obamacare.
Transcript:
"Eventually we do have a problem. That the population is getting older, health care costs are rising... there is this question of how we're going to pay for the programs. The year 2025, the year 2030, something is going to have to give... We're going to need more revenue... Surely it will require some sort of middle class taxes as well.. We won't be able to pay for the kind of government the society we want without some increase in taxes... on the middle class, maybe a value added tax... And we're also going to have to make decisions about health care, doc pay for health care that has no demonstrated medical benefits. So the snarky version... which I shouldn't even say because it will get me in trouble, is death panels and sales taxes is how we do this".
So why is Krugman finally admitting this now? Because it's now safe to say it. Obama, Krugman, and the left-wing media are all complicit in the lie. They KNEW, as did many of us on the right, that government managed health care would lead to this. But while conservatives sounded the alarm, Krugman and his Marxist/leftist comrades denied it all as right-wing hysteria to an increasingly gullible and dependent American public.
Hugo Black once said, "The Founding Fathers gave the free press the protection it must have to bare the secrets of government and inform the people." Today's media do not inform, or lay bare the lies told by our government officials. They have become stenographers for those in power, and vile propagandists for the State. They are unconcerned with informing the public. They are invested in assisting those in power with state-approved propaganda.
What Krugman and his ilk have done - are doing! - is worse than criminal. It is unethical and immoral. They are Judas. I hope he, and they, choke on their thirty pieces of silver.
