Jesse Jackson: Long Lines At Polls Are "Voter Suppression"

Posted by Brian

Race-Baiter and Baby-daddy, Rev. Jesse Jackson
So now, people having to stand in line to vote is voter suppression!

Why does anyone actually take this moron seriously?  To me, his credibility was gone once he put his hands into the blood of Martin Luther King,  Jr. and, wiping it on his sweater, established the myth that he was with the late reverend at the time he was shot, launching his career as a media whore, and race-baiting charlatan.

Doesn't this guy have a young female congregant to "comfort",  or a corporation to shake down?

(CNSNews.com) -- Reverend Jesse Jackson, founder and president of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition, said that long lines at Pennsylvania polling places on Election Day were a form of voter suppression.

He added that he has not seen lines like the ones at early polling places in Ohio since the election of Nelson Mandela in South Africa.

Is Labor Dept. Using Storm To Delay Poor Job Numbers?

Posted by Brian
Coming off a September jobs report that showed unemployment dropped to 7.8%, which was heralded by those on the left as proof that Obama has the country on the right track, comes the news that the Labor Department may "delay" the release of the October jobs' number. Is the regime now using Hurricane Sandy as an excuse to delay the jobs report until after the election?
Soundly panned by those on the right as trickery, the September jobs report had business people and economists all over the country flummoxed.  How could an increase of a mere 114K jobs move the unemployment number from 8.1%  to 7.8%. The answer, of course, is that more people dropped out of the workforce than were employed, thus decreasing the total number of persons counted in their calculations. Over the last year alone, over 1.1 MILLION people have dropped out of the workforce, thus are not being counted. If the same number of people were still being counted in the workforce as when Obama took office, the unemployment number would be around 10.7%.
Trying to ride the "encouraging" September jobs report,  the Obama campaign would be hurt by a poor jobs report just a week before the election.   Hurricane Sandy provides a timely excuse to delay a poor jobs report until after people have cast their ballots.
How convenient!

Labor Department Says No Decision Yet on Whether to Delay Jobs Report
By Eric Morath

The Labor Department said Monday that it has yet to make a decision on whether to delay Friday’s closely-watched October employment report due to the effects from Hurricane Sandy.

Federal government offices in Washington are closed Monday and may be shut again Tuesday due to the storm. It isn’t clear if the closure would cause a delay in processing the data.

“We will assess the situation when the weather emergency is over and notify the press and public of any changes at that time,” said Gary Steinberg, spokesman for the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the data arm of the department.

The Labor Department is also scheduled to release its third quarter employment cost index Wednesday, and the third quarter productivity and weekly jobless claims reports Thursday.

U.S. A Banana Republic? Dems Call In U.N. To Monitor U.S. Elections For "Voter Suppression"

Posted by Brian
H/T To The Hill
Leftist so-called civil rights groups are calling in the United Nations to monitor U.S. elections on November 6th like some third-world banana republic.  Supposedly they are concerned that conservative groups like "True the Vote" are aiming to suppress minority turnout.
Really?!
Where were these groups when the New Black Panthers were stationing themselves at the doors of polling places, dressed in black military gear, wearing black sunglasses, and carrying billy clubs?  Noooo, this was voter intimidation at all.  How do we know?  Because the Eric Holder Justice Department said it wasn't, killing an investigation of what seasoned agents said was a "slam dunk" case of the NBP's illegal intimidation voters.
Apparently though, states who have laws requiring voters to produce identification verifying that they are the person that they claim to be IS voter suppression. Having poll watchers to ensure that there are not others like the NBP's at the polls to intimidate voters is also voter suppression.
So, according to these leftists we need U.N. monitors from liberal places like France, and countries who were once part of the Soviet bloc to come in and monitor our elections.
New Black Panthers "poll watchers" in Philadelphia
I don't think for one second that these "civil rights" groups believe that True the Vote or Voter ID laws are suppressing the voting rights of minorities.  They are simply doing the prep work to challenge any vote that doesn't re-elect Barack Obama or any number of liberal Democrats who they see as critical to maintaining their power. By putting all of this in place ahead of the election, they are positioning themselves to cry "voter fraud" or "tampering with the results" in the case of a close election. I also don't put it past them to have liberal groups take to the streets and create civil unrest in the event the election doesn't go their way. They are not above manufacturing a crisis, using an unwitting or not-so-unwitting media on the day of the election.  Look for early returns and exit polls to heavily favor Obama and Democrats.  This would set the table for, if and when the results swing for Romney, these leftist groups and the media to claim that something untoward may be happening, while positing the theory that we may be seeing a coordinated effort to steal the election by right-wing groups.
If all of this may seem crazy to you, I say you may be right. Crazy like a fox.

International monitors at US polling spots draw criticism from voter fraud groups
By Alexander Bolton - 10/20/12 12:00 PM ET

United Nations-affiliated election monitors from Europe and central Asia will be at polling places around the U.S. looking for voter suppression activities by conservative groups, a concern raised by civil rights groups during a meeting this week. The intervention has drawn criticism from a prominent conservative-leaning group combating election fraud.

The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), a United Nations partner on democratization and human rights projects, will deploy 44 observers around the country on Election Day to monitor an array of activities, including potential disputes at polling places.
