Obama's New UN Ambassador Called For "New State of Palestine" and Placing "Mammoth" U.S. Military Force In Israel

Posted by Brian

While many are focusing on the fact that President Obama has promoted Susan Rice to head the NSA, what is just as troubling, maybe even more so, is Obama's appointment of Samantha Power to replace Rice as the new U.S.' new UN Ambassador.

Power, the radical leftist wife of Cass Sunstein, Obama's Regulatory Czar, was a key figure, along with Susan Rice, in convincing Hillary Clinton and the Obama Administration to commit America's military to using force in Libya.

Oh, yeah.  She's radically anti-Israel/pro-Palestinian. Appointing Power as Ambassador to a UN body which is already anti-Israel should send a chill up the spine of every Israeli, American Jew, and those who support the democratic State of Israel.

In a 2002 interview, Powers stated:
"[W]hat we need is a willingness to put something on the line in helping the situation. Putting something on the line might mean alienating a domestic constituency of tremendous political and financial import (American Jews); it may more crucially mean sacrificing -- or investing, I think, more than sacrificing -- billions of dollars, not in servicing Israel's military, but actually investing in the new state of Palestine, in investing the billions of dollars it would probably take, also, to support what will have to be a mammoth protection force, not of the old Rwanda kind, but a meaningful military presence. Because it seems to me at this stage (and this is true of actual genocides as well, and not just major human rights abuses, which were seen there), you have to go in as if you're serious, you have to put something on the line.”  It's essential that some set of principles becomes the benchmark, rather than a deference to [leaders] who are fundamentally politically destined to destroy the lives of their own people. … I do think in that sense, both political leaders have been dreadfully irresponsible. And, unfortunately, it does require external intervention…Any intervention is going to come under fierce criticism. But we have to think about lesser evils, especially when the human stakes are becoming ever more pronounced.”

Ed Morrissey addessing this very statement in a 2008 Hot Air article, wrote:
For those who may not catch the reference, Power means the Joooooos.  And why would that alienate the Jewishcabalthatsecretlyrunseverything? For one thing, Power wants to spend billions on bolstering Palestinian military strength, instead of spending it on helping the Israelis to defend themselves. Bear in mind that this interview takes place about seven months after 9/11, when people supposedly still knew how dangerous radical Islamist groups like Hamas and al-Qaeda were. Power wanted to send them money and stop funding Israeli efforts to fight them.  Even more ridiculously, Power’s ultimate aim is to send a massive American or Western force into Israel to stop what Power apparently sees as an Israeli genocide against the Palestinians. She specifically states that the force has to be “massive”, not like a Srebrenica- or Bosnia-sized force. Why would it need to be so large? In order to neutralize the Israeli Defense Force, and protect the forces of Fatah and Hamas.

Suddenly, the appointment of Samantha Power as UN Ambassador gives a whole new perspective to two recent decisions made by the Obama Administration regarding Israel, where my first reaction was "what the hell are they thinking"?

The incidents I'm referencing are the Obama Administration's publishing of Top Secret details of an Israeli missile defense facility, which included it Top Secret location, the thickness of its walls, and right down to the type of cooling systems it employs.

The second decision which perplexed me was the supplying of F-16 fighters and Patriot missile systems to Jordan.  Ostensibly, these are to be used as short-term insurance against the Syrian conflict spilling into Jordan, but giving high tech military equipment to hostile countries around Israel does not make sense in the long-term, either for Israel or the United States.  Keep in mind that Russia still backs Assad, and sees this as a hostile move by the Obama Administration.

The appointment of Power, along with Obama's demonstrated hostility to Israel and Benjamin Netanyahu, should make Israel , the Jews and anyone who supports them feel afraid. Very afraid!

Antisemitism & The Latest Performance of Roger Waters

I am frankly sick of these media stars, be they from Hollywood or the music industry, being trotted out to give "expert" testimony on whatever their cause celebre of the day happens to be.
Roger Waters, of the rock group Pink Floyd, went before the United Nation to give voice to a number of lies and antisemitic statements about Israel.
The elites and statists love to bring "star power" to their pet causes, be it Waters' spewing left wing anti-semitism, or Meryl Streep giving "expert testimony" before Congress on the danger of Alar on apples.  Because they're celebrities, and may even have played a doctor or scientist in a movie, we are expected to just accept them at the prejudicial words.
Waters even quoted from one of his songs from the Pink Floyd album  "The Final Cut" (which was a disappointment, and thankfully Waters' last work with Floyd) in his rambling diatribe.  Perhaps he should have picked a more apropos line: "We don't need no education..."

Dem 'Gang Of Six': Tax Policy Must Be A "Global System"

Posted by Brian

A new 'Gang of Six', led by some of the most "Progressive" Democrats in Congress, has promised that increasing tax rates on the so-called wealthy is "just the beginning".

Reps. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.), Michael Honda (D-CA), Keith Ellison (D-Minn.), John Conyers (D-Mich.), Raúl Grijalva (D-Ariz.), and Barbara Lee (D-Calif) are the new 'Gang of Six', and comprise some of the most leftist members of Congress. All are member of the 'Progressive Caucus', a freak-show which, in addition to those listed above, also includes such intellectual luminaries as Sheila Jackson Lee (video) (D-TX), Pete Stark (video), George Miller (video), and Maxine Waters (video) (all D-CA), Hank Johnson (D-GA), who once expressed concern of Guam "tipping over" from too much military equipment and personnel on the island (video),

When these scumbags say it is only the beginning, believe them.  They know that taxing the rich will have virtually no effect on reducing the deficit, even if they were to confiscate all of their wealth and income.  There simply aren't enough people in this category to have any measurable effect.  This is simply a case of pitting people against each other, "coveting" what others have.  In return , these "Demokrats" promise to punish those who have more, and redistribute it to those with less. But since there are not enough of the rich to close the chasm in the deficit, these leftists will have to redefine the word "rich" to ever lower levels of income. Eventually, people who earn 50 or 60 thousand a year will find that they are now classified as rich.

What's more chilling is their call for a "global" system.  In other words, turning over U.S. sovereignty to the United Nations. This would be a "one-world" system, with the U.N. in charge of confiscating wealth from the wealthiest countries, and redistributing it to those they decide worthy. Instituting programs with benign-sounding goals and names like "combating poverty", and "sustainable development", with a U.N. action plan called "Agenda 21", a U.N. plan for "social engineering" and "communitarianism" on a global scale. Government worthy of a George Orwell novel.

Rep. Allen West was correct in saying that there are a sizable number of these members of Congress who are Marxists.  His so-called inflammatory statement should be common sense for anyone who simply listens to what these people say, do, and advocate for.  All that's required is a knowledge of history, and knowing what the great communists and socialist dictators throughout history have said and done.  For this he was eviscerated in the media for stating out loud what should be obvious to anyone who pays even marginal attention to what these people say.

Are you paying attention?

Liberal Democrats: Higher rates for wealthy 'just the beginning'
By Jonathan Easley - 11/30/12 09:19 AM ET

A group of House Democrats has formed its own “Gang of Six” to push for progressive tax reform — in which the expiration of the Bush-era tax rates for the wealthiest Americans is “just the beginning.”

Susan Rice At The UN: "Wildly Ineffective", "Miserable Record"

Posted by Brian
A person who is appointed to Secretary of State, or as the Ambassador to the United Nations, is a person who is well versed in the art of diplomacy.  It is not a business for amateurs.  You are the representative for the United States.
Flipping the bird to a perceived foe would be considered taboo in diplomacy, no matter how great the temptation. Yet, Rice has done precisely that at a State Department meeting.  She has also made a number of enemies in her short time on the national scene.  Not a quality that is exactly admired in the world of diplomacy.  She is known for having a quick trigger, and though able to be loyal to Obama and his policies, she has been unable, or unwilling to recognize when events or circumstances change, and react in a positive way. Her colleagues at the UN love her, but not for the right reasons.  They see her as weak, and she leaves the U.S. with a weakened presence at the UN. Former UN Ambassador Richard Grenell has described Rice as "wildly ineffective".  Others have called Susan Rice's time at the UN a "miserable" failure.
Regarding Israel, Rice has been noticeably absent.  When Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke to the U.N. General Assembly, Rice decided to go to lunch, which was surely not missed by Israel, or it's enemies.
Rice also decided to skip an emergency meeting on the "Gaza-blockade", choosing to stay on vacation in Washington for the Memorial Day weekend.  For Rice, BBQ's and beer trump the needs of Israel, our greatest ally and the only free democracy in the Middle East.
Other "accomplishments" of Susan Rice at the UN are:

  • Failed to show up for the first two emergency Security Council meetings on the Arab Spring revolution.
  • Remained silent when Iran was elected to the U.N. women’s committee,
  • Sat by as Libya when it was elected to the Human Rights Council,
  • Absent from the Haiti crisis meeting
  • A no-show for the last open meeting scheduled before a planned UN vote to recognize Palestinian statehood.

For these reasons alone , you would expect that the Russians would be happy to have Susan Rice as Secretary of State.  But the Russians have indicated that they feel she is a choice who would strain US/Russian relations., saying she is "too ambitious and aggressive". It makes you wonder if she flips the bird to everyone she disagrees with.
Rice has neither the talent, nor the temperament for Secretary of State.

Susan Rice’s tarnished resume
By Dana Milbank, Published: November 16

President Obama had a rare “bring-it-on” moment when ABC News’s Jonathan Karl asked him about threats by Republican Sens. John McCain and Lindsey Graham to block the confirmation of Susan Rice, should he nominate her for secretary of state.

“If Senator McCain and Senator Graham and others want to go after somebody, they should go after me,” Obama said Wednesday at his East Room news conference, defending his U.N. ambassador from charges that she misled the public about attacks on Americans in Libya.

“For them to go after the U.N. ambassador . . . and to besmirch her reputation, is outrageous. And, you know, we’re after an election now.”

It was reminiscent of his put-down of McCain in early 2010, when at a health-care forum he reminded his former opponent: “The election’s over.”

Obama’s over-the-top defense of Rice was surprising, particularly in contrast to the president’s relative indifference in accepting the resignation of CIA chief David Petraeus, one of the most capable public servants. And it was disappointing, because McCain, even if wrong on the particulars, is right about Rice. She is ill-equipped to be the nation’s top diplomat for reasons that have little to do with Libya.

DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS! A.G. Threatens To Arrest UN Election Observers

Posted by Brian
The great Republic of Texas is telling the UN that it's so-called election monitors are not welcome in polling places in Texas and warned them to stay at least 100' away from any place where voters are casting ballots.
The Director of the UN's Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe arrogantly stated that the U.S. is "obligated" to invite the observers to monitor our elections.
Obligated? As a sovereign nation, we are not "obligated" invite you or any other third-world podunk piece of crap country to monitor our elections.  It doesn't sound like Texas believes they are either, seeing they essentially just told you to kiss their Texas-sized ass!

Texas sparks international row with election observers
By Julian Pecquet - 10/25/12 03:04 PM ET

Texas authorities have threatened to arrest international election observers, prompting a furious response from the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).

“The threat of criminal sanctions against [international] observers is unacceptable,” Janez Lenarčič, the Director of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), said in a statement. “The United States, like all countries in the OSCE, has an obligation to invite ODIHR observers to observe its elections.”

U.S. A Banana Republic? Dems Call In U.N. To Monitor U.S. Elections For "Voter Suppression"

Posted by Brian
H/T To The Hill
Leftist so-called civil rights groups are calling in the United Nations to monitor U.S. elections on November 6th like some third-world banana republic.  Supposedly they are concerned that conservative groups like "True the Vote" are aiming to suppress minority turnout.
Really?!
Where were these groups when the New Black Panthers were stationing themselves at the doors of polling places, dressed in black military gear, wearing black sunglasses, and carrying billy clubs?  Noooo, this was voter intimidation at all.  How do we know?  Because the Eric Holder Justice Department said it wasn't, killing an investigation of what seasoned agents said was a "slam dunk" case of the NBP's illegal intimidation voters.
Apparently though, states who have laws requiring voters to produce identification verifying that they are the person that they claim to be IS voter suppression. Having poll watchers to ensure that there are not others like the NBP's at the polls to intimidate voters is also voter suppression.
So, according to these leftists we need U.N. monitors from liberal places like France, and countries who were once part of the Soviet bloc to come in and monitor our elections.
New Black Panthers "poll watchers" in Philadelphia
I don't think for one second that these "civil rights" groups believe that True the Vote or Voter ID laws are suppressing the voting rights of minorities.  They are simply doing the prep work to challenge any vote that doesn't re-elect Barack Obama or any number of liberal Democrats who they see as critical to maintaining their power. By putting all of this in place ahead of the election, they are positioning themselves to cry "voter fraud" or "tampering with the results" in the case of a close election. I also don't put it past them to have liberal groups take to the streets and create civil unrest in the event the election doesn't go their way. They are not above manufacturing a crisis, using an unwitting or not-so-unwitting media on the day of the election.  Look for early returns and exit polls to heavily favor Obama and Democrats.  This would set the table for, if and when the results swing for Romney, these leftist groups and the media to claim that something untoward may be happening, while positing the theory that we may be seeing a coordinated effort to steal the election by right-wing groups.
If all of this may seem crazy to you, I say you may be right. Crazy like a fox.

International monitors at US polling spots draw criticism from voter fraud groups
By Alexander Bolton - 10/20/12 12:00 PM ET

United Nations-affiliated election monitors from Europe and central Asia will be at polling places around the U.S. looking for voter suppression activities by conservative groups, a concern raised by civil rights groups during a meeting this week. The intervention has drawn criticism from a prominent conservative-leaning group combating election fraud.

The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), a United Nations partner on democratization and human rights projects, will deploy 44 observers around the country on Election Day to monitor an array of activities, including potential disputes at polling places.
