NYT Continues To Play Race Card In Zimmerman Case

The New York Times is sticking to its claim that the Trayvon Martin shooting was committed by a 'racist' George Zimmerman.

Despite the fact that much of the evidence being released corroborates Zimmerman's story that he acted in self defense, the Times, which first brought the story to national attention by playing the racial component (which has since fallen apart), continues to search in vain for any morsels that can support their original flawed story of the "white hispanic" Zimmerman targeting a young black man going out for Skittles.

Their latest evidence, buried in the last paragraph of a New York Times story from May 17th, the reporters Serge F. Kovaleski and Campbell Robertson write:

The reports may give rise to other mysteries as well, including the identity of a woman who called another investigator, less than two full days after the shooting.

The woman refused to identify herself or give any callback numbers, but told the investigator that Mr. Zimmerman “has racist ideologies and that he is fully capable of instigating a confrontation that could have escalated to the point of Zimmerman having to use deadly force.”

The police were never able to track her down.

So, let me get this right.  They report that some mystery woman called a police investigator saying that Zimmerman was racist.  They have no name.  The police were never able to identify or track her down.  The caller is a mystery.  So, this is what now passes for responsible journalism at the New York Times. The National Enquirer sources it's leads on extra-terrestrial abductions better than these two.

After jumping head-first into the racist muck with their original story, the Times are digging in their heels, facts be damned.  The question is why.  It can only be that their agenda-driven rag is so attached to the hip of the liberal platform of institutional racism in American society, that there just HAS to be a racial component to this case.

Is it any wonder that the Times has resorted to sensationalizing stories, and that their readership is dropping like a stone, when you get crap reporting like this from the supposed journal of "all the news that fit to print" "paper of record"?

Well, it seems the more evidence that comes out in this case, the more it becomes likely that the drive-by media may be exactly 180 degrees off in their initial knee-jerk, race-baiting, reporting on this case.

By the way, for the mainstream media: Not only is George Zimmerman half latino, his grandfather was black, which makes him more black, than Elizabeth Warren is Indian.

Two police reports written the night that George Zimmerman shot Trayvon Martin said that Zimmerman had a bloody face and nose, according to police reports made public today.

The reports also note that two witness accounts appear to back up Zimmerman's version of what happened when they describe a man on his back with another person wearing a hoodie straddling him and throwing punches.

The medical report for George Zimmerman shows injuries that may strengthen his claims of self-defense.  The report notes a broken nose, two black eyes, lacerations on the back of his head, and a back injury.

This whole story brings back recollections of both the Duke lacrosse player case.  In that case, media hysteria and group think falsely accused innocent men of committing horrendous crimes, which were later found to be completely without merit.  The reputations and lives of these men were forever changed, and their reputations tarnished, by a media unconcerned with facts and armed only with their own preconceived prejudicial worldview.  For the media, it had all of the makings for ratings: well-to-do white college students playing an elitist sport, a young black woman, and sex.  It was inconceivable to the liberal elites that these young men might be innocent, or that the "victim" had fabricated the whole thing.  Just as in the Trayvon Martin case,  it was an election year and the DA saw the case as a chance to bolster their tough-on-crime platform.  As we all know now, the Duke players were innocent, the girl did make up the story, and the political hack DA was forced to resign, convicted of ethics violations, and disbarred.

We now have the Trayvon Martin case, which was not heard of outside of Central Florida until ten days after the incident, when the New York Times picked up on the story.  The difference with this story was that the Times and the rest of the MSM has to find an angle to sensationalize it and make it a national story.  The Times went right for the tried-and-true liberal fallback of using race to promote the story.  Only one problem: Yes, Trayvon Martin was black, but George Zimmerman is half Hispanic, which in any other story would make him simply Hispanic.  But the New York Times, twisting logic worthy of contortionists, ran the story with George Zimmerman described as a "white" Hispanic. The rest of the media now had their template, as did race-baiters such as Al Sharpton, to make this case a national circus meant to enflame racial tensions.  The story is now about race, and not the tragic shooting of a young man.

Like Mike Nifong in the Duke Case, the DA in this case is in an election year fight. And like the Duke case, especially if you listen to legal minds like Alan Dershowitz, 2nd degree murder charges against Zimmerman are "irresponsible and unethical".  At most, the charges might have supported an involuntary manslaughter charge. On top of this, the FBI is considering charging Zimmerman with a hate crime, which would make him eligible for the death penalty.

All of this, despite claims that DA in his case has been accused of withholding evidence which supports Zimmerman's claims in the arrest affidavit.  It is eerily similar to the types of ethics violations in the Duke case.

This is instructional, and a reminder, of how the media works.  As more and more evidence leaks out which supports Zimmerman's account, the media have become more and more silent.  Rush Limbaugh's coining of a 'Drive-by" media is wholly apropos in this case.  They came out of the gate, guns blazing, convinced in Zimmerman's guilt, stirring up racial animus, and as the smoke clears, and the truth starts to come out, they have moved far down the road to the next drive-by target.

The George Zimmerman's of this world, as well as the public, expect and deserve a media which reports the news. Not one which advocates for an outcome.

Race-Hustlers Sharpton and Jackson Have Blood On Their Hands 

A black teen beats a white teen in Chicago. In Toledo, Ohio a 78 year old white man is attacked and beaten by a gang of black teens. In Alabama, 20 black males beat a white male with pipes, chairs, and brass knuckles, leaving him in critical condition.  These are but just a few incidents that have happened in the past few months regarding black-on-white crime.

What is their connection? In all of the attacks, the thugs have claimed that the beating was justice "for Trayvon Martin". The 'race-hustlers' message has resonated.

The New York Times, who in their zeal to create a national story, sensationalized the tragic killing of Trayvon Martin by intentionally inserting a racial component, where no evidence of this being a racially-motivated attack exists. The Times even created a new term to forward their agenda: "White Hispanic". Black-on-black, black-on-white, hispanic-on-black, et.al., just doesn't have the ratings potential as a white-on-black crime, even if they have to invent a new type of "white". Since the initial report from the NYT, a rash of recent black-on-white attacks has created racial tensions not seen since the late sixties.

The fact that George Zimmerman, who is half Peruvian, had a "white sounding" name and was relatively light-skinned, was enough for the Times to find a racial component and create a firestorm to sell papers for the financially struggling paper.  For the mainstream media, this was enough to go out and stoke the racial fires even more.  Editing 911 audio to give the appearance that George Zimmerman was after Martin because he was black, rather than because it was late, he felt he looked suspicious, or that the neighborhood he lived in had experienced a recent rash of break-ins, the media ratcheted up their template that no amount of evidence, or lack thereof, that this was a white-on-black crime, and that it was racially motivated.  It was, and is, total bulls**t, and they know it. This of course led to publicity whores Al "Crown Heights" Sharpton and Jesse "Hymietown" Jackson leading rallies, and stoking the fires of racial division even higher. Instead of calling for calm and waiting for all of the evidence to come out (which we still don't know all the facts), Sharpton, Jackson, the New Black Panthers, and the media have played the role of judge and jury, already convicting Zimmerman.

This sets the stage for a Rodney King-like situation if a jury, after actually having seen and heard the evidence (which legal experts have called flimsy), acquits George Zimmerman. Many of us can recall the video of Reginald Denny being pulled from his truck, and having his head caved in with a concrete block by Damian "Football" Williams. His crime: being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

At every turn, whether it be Sharpton, Jackson, or the President, when given the opportunity, and there have been many, to dial back the rhetoric and the emotions associated with this, they have stoked the emotions even higher.  President Obama, when given the opportunity to speak, didn't call for cooler heads to prevail, as a leader would (and should), but made the now famous asinine remark that if he "had a son, he would look like Trayvon". Pure political drivel which did nothing to dampen the rising emotions.

If the jury fails to convict George Zimmerman, and many think that is probable based on an indictment that overreaches on the 2nd-degree murder charge, riots such as we saw in L.A. in 1992 may break out around the country.  If they do, this will be the legacy of Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and President Obama in the Trayvon Martin case. When given the opportunity to do the right thing, personal fame and fortune won out once again.

Who didn't see this one coming? The Brady campaign jumping on the Trayvon Martin bandwagon, further politicizing a tragic situation, blaming the NRA and it's President Wayne LaPierre for putting the gun in George Zimmerman's hand.

So, by his asinine logic, we should therefore blame Jose Camacho and Ross Cutlery for the deaths of Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldman because they sold the knife to O.J. Simpson?

Moron.

Brady Campaign President: NRA Put ‘the Gun in George Zimmerman’s Hands’

(CNSNews.com) – The president of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence accused National Rifle Association President Wayne LaPierre of being responsible for the Trayvon Martin shooting in Florida by “putting the gun in George Zimmerman’s hands.”

During a rally on Capitol Hill marking the five-year anniversary of the Virginia Tech massacre in which 32 people were killed and the eight-year anniversary on Friday of the Columbine High School shooting, Brady Campaign president Dan Gross called on Congress to “take simple action to stop arming dangerous people.” Also, on hand at the rally were victims of gun violence and their families.

Have Spike Lee and America's Race Hustlers Set The Stage for Another Rodney King Riot in C. Florida?

Fanning the flames of manufactured racism

Spike Lee,  director of movies like "Do The Right Thing" and "Jungle Fever", jumped head first into the Trayvon Martin hysteria, retweeting the wrong address for George Zimmerman, the shooter in this whole tragedy.
The fact is is that Lee shouldn't have sent it out at all.  He didn't "do the right thing" but instead did the dumb thing. Everyone from Lee, Al "Tawana Brawley" Sharpton, Jesse "Hymie Town" Jackson, the New Black Panthers, and the President himself have fanned the racial flames in this case.  For the President, this is just another in a long line of jumping into local law enforcement cases in which he does not calm the high emotions, but further enflames them. Once a community agitator, always a community agitator.
Just as in the Duke Lacrosse Team rape case, and the Atlanta Olympic bombings, the media have created a firestorm based on little more than their own biases, and their own desire to manufacture news. In both of those cases the media got it completely wrong.  The Duke players and Richard Jewell (who was labeled "the Olympic Bomber") were both completely cleared of any wrong-doing. Even after those cases, the media issued no mea culpas or did any introspection on what went wrong.  It didn't matter whom had gotten hurt, or had their reputations destroyed. No, they just moved on down the road to the next big ratings getter.
To further their racial bent, they have gone as far as to label Zimmerman a "white hispanic" because of his mixed heritage. What the hell is that?!  If Zimmerman had been half white and half black, would the have labeled him a "white black"? Hell no!  We would not have heard of this case at all.  The template is set, and the media is not going to come off of it.
As more information comes out we are finding that the actual facts of the case are not as cut and dry as the initial hysterical reporting intimated - that this was a racially motivated shooting. The truth is, we don't know what the motive was. The more information that comes out through witnesses and from the initial reports, the murkier the initial media reports become.
We have learned that Trayvon Martin was on top of Zimmerman and that it was Zimmerman that was screaming for help, and not Martin. The thing is is that the investigation is ongoing and not all the facts are out there as yet.
It may be that Zimmerman will be charged and go to court. But what if the jury finds Zimmerman not guilty.  Have Spike Lee and all of these race-hustlers now set the stage for another "Rodney King Riot" for Central Florida? Will they spread across the country because of the absolute media malpractice that has been, once again, been perpetrated on the public?
Let's hope calm heads prevail

MARCH 27--With Twitter and Facebook continuing to explode with posts purporting to contain the address of George Zimmerman, property records and interviews reveal that the home is actually the longtime residence of a married Florida couple, both in their 70s, who have no connection to the man who killed Trayvon Martin and are now living in fear due to erroneous reports about their connection to the 
shooter.


The mass dissemination of the address on Edgewater Circle in Sanford--the Florida city where Martin was shot to death last month--took flight last Friday when director Spike Lee retweeted a tweet containing Zimmerman’s purported address to his 240,000 followers.
