(A Democracy) can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship.
Alexis de Tocqueville
Does the previous statement sound familiar in the context of what we see going on in government today? Does it make you concerned? Good. It should.
With one sentence, Barack Hussein Obama provided all the clarity we need to understand that he is totally unconcerned with driving the U.S. economy over the edge of the fiscal cliff. For those who have been paying attention to what he has been saying for the last three and a half years it does not come as a big surprise. This simply fits into everything else he has said about "fundamentally changing this country". He has a deep-seated hatred for the Founders, the Constitution, and everything that this country stands for. He does not see the success of this experiment we call democracy, which has in a little over 200 years become the most successful country in human history, as something that needs to be admired, but as something to be despised. He sees the troubles around the world as our fault. Instead of recognizing the most of the misery around the world is in countries run by despots, he sees American exceptionalism as something negative. His worldview is such that he can't see past his own Marxist ideology that America is exceptional because of the wisdom of the Founders. A country and government ruled by its citizens ( until recently), who are given the freedom and liberty to succeed, or fail, based on their own self-determination and self-interest.
The end result of his hatred is to tear the system down to its foundation (fundamentally change) through turmoil - economic, class-warfare, and societal instability.
Eighteen more months of Barack Obama at the helm will, at minimum, leave the country teetering on the edge of financial collapse. A re-election of Obama will see the United States with a Hugo Chavez-style dictatorship before the end of his second term.

Washington (CNSNews.com) – President Barack Obama says America does not need a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution, and he once again blamed much of the fiscal problem on Bush-era tax cuts.
“We don’t need a constitutional amendment to do our jobs,” Obama told reporters at his Friday news conference. “The Constitution already tells us to do our jobs -- and to make sure that the government is living within its means and making responsible choices.”
