Fire Up The Coal Plants!

Posted by Brian
With studies showing that pollution is actually reflecting heat back into space, creating a global cooling effect over the last decade, then "Burn, baby burn!".  Conversely, clean air measures have the opposite effect of creating a warming effect.  Am I really for dirty air? Of course not.  But doesn't this point out the inanity of this scientific "consensus" tripe regarding man-made global warming.  The fact is is that earth's climate is much more complex than these alarmists want us to know.  Global warming, or climate change, or whatever the term du jour is, is big business.  It is why we are told these asinine things, such as CO2 being a pollutant.  (So, everybody stop breathing!)
Or that these little curly-q CFL lightbulbs, which are loaded with mercury by the way, are the answer to stop global warming.
Sheryl Crow tells us we can help by only using a single square of toilet paper when using the toilet.  The planet will love you, but your wife is going to kill you for fudging up every pair of BVD's you own.
And of course, there are the "carbon offset credits" you can buy from Algore so that every time you fart someone can plant a tree somewhere in South America.  Carbon offsets are the new millenium scam.  An updated version of buying land deeds on the moon. Far be it from me to tell you not buy them. If it makes you feel better, or makes you feel like you are "making a difference", knock yourself out.  If you want, you can even try to save my soul at the alter of Mother Earth by buying a few for me.
In the meantime, all coal all the time!

Asia pollution blamed for halt in warming: study

LONDON (Reuters) - Smoke belching from Asia's rapidly growing economies is largely responsible for a halt in global warming in the decade after 1998 because of sulphur's cooling effect, even though greenhouse gas emissions soared, a U.S. study said on Monday.

The paper raised the prospect of more rapid, pent-up climate change when emerging economies eventually crack down on pollution.

World temperatures did not rise from 1998 to 2008, while manmade emissions of carbon dioxide from burning fossil fuel grew by nearly a third, various data show.

The researchers from Boston and Harvard Universities and Finland's University of Turku said pollution, and specifically sulphur emissions, from coal-fueled growth in Asia was responsible for the cooling effect
