Free Sterilizations Must be Offered to All College Women, Says HHS

(CNSNews.com) - All student health care plans covering female college students in the United States must include coverage for free voluntary sterilization surgery, the Department of Health and Human Services announced late Friday afternoon.

Women of college age who do not attend school will also get free sterilization coverage whether they are insured through an employer, their parents, or some form of government-subsidized plan.

All student health plans, HHS said Friday as it finalized a new regulation under the Affordable Care Act (otherwise known as Obamacare) must cover the full set of cost-free women’s “preventive services” that HHS ordered last month must be covered by all U.S. health care plans.

(CNSNews.com) - There would be no consideration of cost effectiveness.

That was the explicit condition that the Department of Health and Human Services imposed on the panel of health-care experts it commissioned to develop the “preventive services” mandate that will require virtually all health-insurance plans in the United States to cover sterilizations and contraceptives—including those that cause abortions.

On Monday's radio show, top selling author and talk radio host Mark Levin said, “what would happen if we were living in a functioning constitutional republic is articles of impeachment would be drawn up against the secretary of HHS [Health and Human Services, Kathleen Sebelius]”.
“I’m not trying to be controversial. I’m telling you how it would work if it were. For violating her oath to uphold the Constitution, for violating her fidelity to the rule of law, for seizing power she simply does not have. But that’s not going to happen because the system is broken. Even the most modest things that could be done are not being done.”
