THE MOST IMPORTANT VIDEO YOU MAY EVER SEE!! "Behind The Green Mask"

If you don't watch anything else, or look at anything else I post:  WATCH THIS!!

This video is one hour and 43 minutes long, so it will take some dedicated time to watch.  Don't let the length intimidate you.  Rosa Koire is a compelling speaker, and the information you hear will shake you to your core.  Possibly the most important one and three-quarter hours you will ever spend educating yourself on a topic. Better yet, watch it with some family and/or friends, and have a discussion afterwards.
Enjoy!

Have you wondered where these terms 'sustainability' and 'smart growth' and 'high density urban mixed use development' came from?
Doesn't it seem like about 10 years ago you'd never heard of them and now everything seems to include these concepts? Is that just a coincidence? That every town and county and state and nation in the world would be changing their land use/planning codes and government policies to align themselves with...what?

Behind the Green Mask - Rosa Koire

Who are we?
We are engaged in educating ourselves, our peers, and our country about UN Agenda 21, ICLEI, Sustainable Development, Smart Growth, Form-Based Zoning, Green Energy Mandates, Carbon Offsets, Cap and Trade, Redevelopment and other programs that restrict our land rights and civil rights.

This vitally important information transcends party lines and illuminates much of what we have witnessed over the past two decades.
This is not a left or right issue. It's an American issue. The information on these sites will help you to identify what is happening in your town and to stop it.

Earth Day Partier's Show Reverence By Trashing Park

Posted by Brian
In an annual ritual, it did not take long for me to find a story of "green"disciples leaving their temporary habitat completely trashed.  Having been to one of these, out of curiosity, a few years back, I found that attendees get to learn how to be green, sing songs of praise to Mother Earth, and generally get to feel morally superior to those who "don't get it".

Well, apparently being green also means getting shit-faced and leaving beer containers, bottles, and paper and plastic bags everywhere.  This year's attendees may have outdone themselves though.  Among the refuse this year was a coffee table(!), presumably left behind for the squirrels and other animal friends to dine in style.

Just to be fair, Earth Day and modern day environmentalism have nothing to do with "Saving the Planet", or making the world a better place, anyway. It's about indoctrinating mostly young people, as well as reinforcing the beliefs of a bunch of 60's and 70's burn-outs, with the message that humans are bad, capitalism is evil, and the Earth would be better off without us here.  It's also a message of collective guilt, redistribution,  and one-world gobbledygook.  In other words - how to bring about our Marxist utopia!

Ah, to be green, drunk and stupid!

Marina Partiers Leave Behind Massive Fort Mason Mess

Happy Earth Day, everybody! Just when we thought our faith in the drunkards had been restored, we spotted this disaster area left behind after throngs of Marina District revelers took their overconsumption outdoors yesterday afternoon. After a brief stop at the Marina Dateway, where the neighborhood grocery store was experiencing a run on domestic beer and ladies were overheard discussing the caloric content of various vodkas, we found this scene on the grass at Fort Mason around 7 p.m. Saturday evening.

What looked something like this during the afternoon, by sunset looked like a good place to catch Hepatitis. That's also when the seagulls started swooping in, probably looking for beer can rings to choke themselves to death with. (Because of how disappointed in humanity they were.)

Great News! GOP Repeals Incandescent Light Bulb Ban

Posted by Brian

Congress overturns incandescent light bulb ban

-
The Washington Times   Friday, December 16, 2011
Congressional negotiators struck a deal Thursday that overturns the new rules that were to have banned sales of traditional incandescent light bulbs beginning next year.

That agreement is tucked inside the massive 1,200-page spending bill that funds the government through the rest of this fiscal year, and which both houses of Congress will vote on Friday. Mr. Obama is expected to sign the bill, which heads off a looming government shutdown.
Congressional Republicans dropped almost all of the policy restrictions they tried to attach to the bill, but won inclusion of the light bulb provision, which prevents the Obama administration from carrying through a 2007 law that would have set energy efficiency standards that
effectively made the traditional light bulb obsolete.

Outrage!! Obama Forces Navy To Buy Jet Biofuel At 4X The Cost

Posted by Brian

H/T to Mark Levin

Jet Fuel-Gate Is Obama's New Solyndra

Ecofanaticism: SolyndraGate was no isolated case of corrupt government misspending. The U.S. Navy was just forced to buy 450,000 gallons of biofuels from an Obama-connected firm at an outrageous $16 per gallon.
The massive Obama stimulus was supposed to generate millions of jobs, but the $535 million loan guarantee it gave to solar panel maker Solyndra on the eve of its Chapter 11 bankruptcy illustrated the fundamental incompetence of Obama's neo-Keynesian economic ideology.
Now we find the Navy partnering with the Agriculture Department to purchase hundreds of thousands of gallons of alternative biofuel in place of standard JP-5 fuel for Navy aircraft — the biggest federal purchase of biofuel ever.
It's part of the White House's "we can't wait for Congress" strategy as the 2012 election year looms. But JP-5 typically costs less than $4 a gallon. If a family on a budget started filling up with $16-a-gallon gas, it might want to adopt the motto, "we can't wait to go broke.

Rep. Young Takes Professor To Task Over ANWR Testimony

Oil Exploration Rig In ANWR Coastal Plain
A lot has been made of the back and forth between Rep. Don Young (R-Alaska), and historian and Rice University Professor Douglas Brinkley regarding drilling in the Alaska National Wildlife refuge. The news reports and the progressive blogs have of course accused Rep. Young of "bullying" Dr. Brinkley.
What Rep. Young was doing was pointing out how Dr. Brinkley, and others like him, have characterized ANWR - as this pristine wilderness with majestic mountains, flowing streams, and wildlife that has been untouched by the evils of humans, and their technology. In fact, the area that has been set aside for drilling is a mere 3,000 acres out of 119 million acres. Certainly there are large portions of ANWR that have the breathtaking views that environmentalists describe, but these areas are not even visible from the area being discussed.
Many of the arguments being made today are very similar to the arguments made against the building of the Alaska oil pipeline. We were told that Caribou herds would have their migration routes blocked, causing the deaths of thousands, maybe even millions of these beautiful animals. However, once the pipeline was built it was discovered that the Caribou actually seemed to like the pipeline, especially the warm crude that flowed through it. Caribou could be seen congregating, and even mating around the pipeline. Apparently, they like a heated environment in cold weather just as much as we do.
So who is Douglas Brinkley. For certain, he is a well-respected and knowledgable man. But he is also way to the left on environmental matters. He has been the recipient of the 2009 National Outdoor Book Award and 2009 Green Prize for Sustainable Literature. He buys into the now disproven scam about the dangers of DDT promoted by Rachel Carson's book "Silent Spring", which has led to literally millions of unneeded deaths from malaria. In fact he has an upcoming book, Silent Spring Revolution: John F. Kennedy, Rachel Carson, Stewart Udall and the Environmental Movement 1961-1964 set to be released in the near future. He is a darling of the left, being embraced by "Think Progress" and "The Center For American Progress", both far-left/Marxist leaning groups.
Representative Young took Dr. Brinkley to task for testimony that he classified, in his opinion, as "garbage". He incorrectly addressed Mr. Brinkley as Dr. Rice (he is tenured at Rice University), at which point Mr. Brinkley not only tried to correct the Congressman, but went further, arrogantly saying to the Congressman, "“[It's] Dr. Brinkley. Rice is a university. I know you went to Yuba College and you couldn’t graduate.”
It went downhill from there.

Obama, USDA Delay Shale Drilling, Up To 200 Thousand New Jobs

Posted by Brian
So much for Obama being "focused like a laser" on getting Americans back to work.

President Obama's United States Department of Agriculture has delayed shale gas drilling in Ohio for up to six months by cancelling a mineral lease auction for Wayne National Forest (WNF). The move was taken in deference to environmentalists, on the pretext of studying the effects of hydraulic fracturing.

The Great Bird Slaughter - 440K Birds Killed By "Green" Wind Turbines in 2009

Does it make a difference how a bird dies? In the eyes of the federal government it does.  Apparently, if it is killed by an "earth-friendly" wind turbine, there is no foul.  But, if it the bird is killed by that insidious stuff called oil, it lands you a huge fine.
Maybe the Fish & Wildlife service can explain what "acceptable losses" are in the war on climate change and Big Oil.

So, what’s the life of a bird worth? If you’re Big Oil it can range from $7,000 to $20,000 per bird. Yet, if you’re wind energy, it costs nothing

Golden Eagle at Altamont Pass, CA
Bird Death Fines Depend On Who Kills The Birds - Jack Dini Monday, September 19, 2011 Oil companies face heavy fines: Wind farms get a free pass

Seven oil companies have recently been charged in federal court with killing migratory birds that died after allegedly landing in oil waste pits in western North Dakota. The charges involve 28 dead birds that were discovered in oil waste pits between May 6 and June 20. The maximum penalty for each charge under the Migratory Bird Act is six months in prison and a $15,000 fine. (1)

There’s more: In July 2009, Pacificorp agreed to pay $10.5 million in fines, restitution and equipment upgrade costs for the deaths of at least 232 golden eagles, 46 hawks, 50 owls and nearly 200 other birds that had been electrocuted in Wyoming since January 2007. The cost per bird computes to a little less than $20,000. (2) “On August 13, 2009, ExxonMobil pled guilty in federal court to charges that it killed 85 birds—all of which were protected under the Migratory Bird Act. The company agreed to pay $600,000 in fines and fees for the bird kills, which occurred after the animals came in contact with hydrocarbons in uncovered tanks and waste water facilities on company properties located in five western states,” reports Robert Bryce. Each bird kill cost the company over $7,000. (3)

Is California Anti-Immigration Group Also Pro-Eugenics?

On blacks, immigrants and indigents:

"...human weeds,' 'reckless breeders,' 'spawning... human beings who never should have been born." Margaret Sanger, Pivot of Civilization

Sanger believed that, for the purpose of racial "purification," couples should be rewarded who chose sterilization. Birth Control in America, The Career of Margaret Sanger, by David Kennedy, p. 117, quoting a 1923 Sanger speech.

A group calling itself "Californians For Population Stabilization" ran an ad last night duringthe GOP Debate. The ad targets both illegal and legal immigration into the state. But a closer look at their website reveals that it's not just immigration that they seem to have a problem with. It is what they see as overpopulation in general. Their seemingly benign title seems to hide a radical agenda which blames the earth's woes on an overabundance of humans.
The group split off from "Zero Population Growth" (now known as "Population Connection) in 1986 because, as their background statement says, "that organization, like many other population groups, decided to focus on the politically safer issue of global overpopulation. While we agree that global overpopulation is a problem, CAPS works to influence population policy in our own country and uses education and advocacy to accomplish this goal". Their "solutions" are to limit population growth by " limiting immigration, encouraging lower fertility and educating the public about likely outcomes if we fail to take decisive action today".
And what is the agenda behind their reasoning? As they state: "Overpopulation brings environmental damage and overuse of nature's bounty. Overpopulation strains local infrastructure and frays community institutions. It affects air and water quality, causes destruction of forests and wildlife and results in the permanent loss of fertile land and other non-renewable resources."
At current, this group is using the political issue of immigration as an issue, hoping to triangulate the issue with the poor economy and unemployment, thus using the frustration of those out of work to gain support. But underneath all of this is a radical environmental movement which seems to advocate for the practice of eugenics, the Margaret Sanger/Woodrow Wilson plan for a "whiter" world, by using abortion and other "educational" means to reduce minority populations.
Californian's For Population Stabilization may have a nice ring to it, but I'm thinking that they're not as clean-cut as the spokesman in their little ad that they ran last night.

Tyranny Alert: Feds Turn Sights On Big Guitar and Big Wood Industries

Posted by Brian
Do you own a vintage or guitar?  Better make sure all of your documentation is in order.  The Federal Government has decided that one of the greatest dangers to life as we know it is the type of wood used to make instruments such as Gibson guitars, woodwind instruments, and even bagpipes, which all use ebony woods. The Feds are comparing the smuggling of some of these hardwoods to "blood diamonds".  Just a little strong on the hyperbole.  But this is the M.O. of this administration and the leftists - Use the most extreme example to describe whatever it is that they are currently targeting. Tea Partiers are "terrorists" or "Nazi's".  Illegal immigration and gay marriage are inexplicably compared to the 60's Civil Rights Movement.  It appears that the best way to stay out of the sights of the feds is to dress up in paramilitary gear, stand out in front of a voting pricinct wearing dark sunglasses, carrying a nightstick, and intimidating white voters.
So tell me again: What does tyranny look like?

Guitar Frets: Environmental Enforcement Leaves Musicians in Fear

Federal agents swooped in on Gibson Guitar Wednesday, raiding factories and offices in Memphis and Nashville, seizing several pallets of wood, electronic files and guitars. The Feds are keeping mum, but in a statement yesterday Gibson's chairman and CEO, Henry Juszkiewicz, defended his company's manufacturing policies, accusing the Justice Department of bullying the company. "The wood the government seized Wednesday is from a Forest Stewardship Council certified supplier," he said, suggesting the Feds are using the aggressive enforcement of overly broad laws to make the company cry uncle.

It isn't the first time that agents of the Fish and Wildlife Service have come knocking at the storied maker of such iconic instruments as the Les Paul electric guitar, the J-160E acoustic-electric John Lennon played, and essential jazz-boxes such as Charlie Christian's ES-150. In 2009 the Feds seized several guitars and pallets of wood from a Gibson factory, and both sides have been wrangling over the goods in a case with the delightful name "United States of America v. Ebony Wood in Various Forms."

New Study of NASA Data May Debunk Global Warming Predictions

Posted on July 28, 2011 at 11:45am by Billy Hallowell

Could new NASA data deal a blow to some of the statements and predictions that have been made by global warming adherents? According to James M. Taylor, a senior fellow for environmental policy at The Heartland Institute, the answer is a resounding “yes.”

In Forbes, Taylor writes about some intriguing analysis of NASA satellite data that spans from years 2000 until 2011. Interestingly, the data show that the Earth’s atmosphere is actually allowing more heat to be released into outer space than global warming computer models previously predicted.

Is This Man Today's John Galt of Atlas Shrugged?

Ronnie Bryant listened silently for a two hours as leftists and environmentalists "testified" of how business poisons the water and causes cancer. Finally Mr Bryant rose and told of his new underground coal mining operation. A mining operation which would employ 125-150 people at $50,000 to $150,000 a year. An operation that would purchase up to $50 million - %60 million of consumables from the local community, creating more jobs in the community. After listening to these ne'er-do-wells trash private business, and listen to the burdensome regulations that they want to impose on those businesses, he decided NOT to open his mine.
THIS is the story of radical environmentalism, with their junk science and alarmism. The bottom line is that the modern environmentalist movement is not pro-nature, the are anti-capitalism. The are Marxists.
The environmentalists probably thought that they won this little victory over this mean and evil entrepreneur, but in reality the real losers are the people who are going to continue to be unemployed in this community. Families with children, choosing between making their mortgage or buying food for their children.
Obama promised "shovel-ready jobs", and provided none. Here was a man who was offering, literally, shovel-ready jobs to this community, and good paying ones at that, yet the environmentalists are there to derail them, and those people are going to continue to be unemployed.
Remind me. Who are the "compassionate" ones again?

New EPA rules to devastate coal industry
Published: 6:07 PM 07/07/2011

The coal industry is crying foul over new Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations which they say will be among the most be costly rules ever imposed by the agency on coal-fueled power plants.

The result, industry insiders say: substantially higher electricity rates and massive job loss.

“The EPA is ignoring the cumulative economic damage new regulations will cause,” said Steve Miller, president and CEO of the American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity (ACCCE). “America’s coal-fueled electric industry has been doing its part for the environment and the economy, but our industry needs adequate time to install clean coal technologies to comply with new regulations. Unfortunately, EPA doesn’t seem to care.”

"Green" Cars Are A Scam

Posted by Brian

Produce More Greenhouse Gasses Than Conventional Counterparts
The push for electric cars has just taken a major hit.  I've never bought into the left's narrative that unless we move away from vehicles that use gas the climate will change to such a degree that there will be mass migrations, sea levels will rise and flood New York, or any of the other doomsday predictions.  All or some of this may happen over time, but it will not be because of so-called fossil fuels.  It will be part of a natural sun cycle, or some other natural event.  A second ice age is just as likely from some event like an eruption at the Yellowstone super volcano.  The Mt. Pinatubo eruption in the Phillipines in 1991 mainlined 15-30 million tons of sulfur dioxide into the the upper atmosphere, creating an unprecedented hole in the ozone over Antarctica, and which lowered global temperatures by over .5 degrees centigrade in 1992 and 1993. The media hysteria over the ozone hole led to stories about how skin cancer for was going to be epidemic. Then, in 1994 the ozone hole had shrunk to such a size that scientists had trouble finding it.  Crisis over. Never mind.  The idea the CO2 from automobiles is going to have any significant effect is pure sophistry. First off, CO2 is not a pollutant.  It is a gas essential to life.  We exhale it.  Plants feed off of it.  Frankly, an increase in the level of CO2 might be a good thing.  It would be conducive to growing more crops for an increasing global population.
The point is that nature is much more powerful than anything that we can ever possibly conceive.  The earthquake and tsunami in Japan is a reminder of that.It also has incredible self-healing abilities.  The Exxon Valdez oil spill disaster was supposed to creat environmental havoc for decades, yet after just a few years the effects were virtually non-existent.  Even in the event of a nuclear holocaust the earth would eventually heal itself.
The study showing that this "green" technology is producing more of these so-called greenhouse gasses than their petroleum-based counterparts is both amusing, and further proof that the global warming/climate change movement is nothing more than a scam to redistribute wealth.

Electric cars may not be so green after all, says British study

An electric car owner would have to drive at least 129,000km before producing a net saving in CO2. Many electric cars will not travel that far in their lifetime because they typically have a range of less than 145km on a single charge and are unsuitable for long trips. Even those driven 160,000km would save only about a tonne of CO2 over their lifetimes.

The British study, which is the first analysis of the full lifetime emissions of electric cars covering manufacturing, driving and disposal, undermines the case for tackling climate change by the rapid introduction of electric cars.

Coal Regs Would Kill Jobs, Boost Energy Bills

Two new EPA pollution regulations will slam the coal industry so hard that hundreds of thousands of jobs will be lost, and electric rates will skyrocket 11 percent to over 23 percent, according to a new study based on government data.

Overall, the rules aimed at making the air cleaner could cost the coal-fired power plant industry $180 billion, warns a trade group.

Irony Of The Day: Decaying Biodegradeable Trash Does More Harm Than Good to Environment

Posted by Brian
Have you ever been around compost and felt the heat comng off of it!  Smelled the gasses around it as it decays?  All the little organisms eating the grass, leaves, vegetables, and fruit and emitting all of that methane?
So the enviro-geniuses come up with this biodegradable stuff to save the planet, and it may make things worse? I don't know what to say about this other than...Bwaaahahahahahahha!!!

Say What? Biodegradable Products May Contribute to Global Warming?

Posted on June 3, 2011 at 4:02pm by Billy Hallowell

The battle continues to rage over the existence and potential human perpetuation of global warming (or “climate change,” depending on who you’re talking to). But, regardless of where one stands on the wide spectrum of environmental belief, the results of a new study by North Carolina State University will surely be of intrigue.
GLOBAL WARMING / CLIMATE CHANGE IS A HOAXImage by genetew via Flickr

According to researchers, the feel-good biodegradable products that so many Americans purchase to avoid contributing negatively to the ecosystem, may actually do more harm than good. Once these items make their way into landfills, they allegedly begin to release a “powerful greenhouse gas” as they decay:

"Big Oil" Profits Average 5.7 Cents On The Dollar

Posted by Brian
"Big Oil" vs "Big Bureaucracy"
When politicians and their standard bearers, the mainstream media, speak of "obscene" profits by the oil industry they invariably frame their argument in terms of dollars.  Lots of dollars. Billions of dollars.  But, as a percentage of gross income, how much do the oil companies actually take in?  For that matter, how much does the federal government take in from the same gallon of gasoline?
Liberal Democrats (which is virtually all Democrats, anymore), the media, and RINO Republicans love to trot out quarterly earnings statements from the oil companies to "prove" how much the "eeevil" oil barons are screwing you.  But the fact is this: Oil companies make far less, as a percentage of gross, than most other industries.  The take in a lot of dollars because they are multi-national companies which do business all over the world.  And, the sell a lot of their product. But their total margin at the end of the day is only 5.7 cents for every dollar of gas pumped - or 22.8 cents at $4 a gallon.  Compare that to the 56 cents that the federal government confiscates from each gallon sold, of which they have zero impact in getting the fuel into your gas tank.  The government does NOT: find the oil, drill for the oil, pay for the oil, ship the oil, refine the oil, or deliver the gas to market.  It does Zip. Zero, Nada.  Yet the federal government collects 14% off the top in excise taxes alone.  This does not include state or federal sales taxes. The only thing that government contributes is higher prices through taxes, and a bureaucratic minefield of insane regulations on where to drill, when to drill, how much who can drill and God knows what else. Add to this the fact that the government and environmental groups have stood in the way of companies building any new oil refineries since the 1970's, creating a virtual cap on the amount of gas that can be refined, artificially affecting the supply component of supply and demand.
Finally, the big oil executives do not own the oil companies.  This is the impression that those in the media and grandstanding politicians want the public to believe.  They bring the CEO's before Congress to grill them in hearings (media circus's to allow politicians to show us how much they "care"), and hold investigations into price gouging by the oil companies (which in every instance has exonerated the oil companies).  The truth is that the public own the vast majority of the oil companies, through 4011K's, mutual funds and individual stock investors.
If you are upset with high gas prices, maybe it's time to get upset with "Big Bureaucracy".

Who Owns ‘Big Oil'? Not Who You Think
Thursday, May 26, 2011

(CNSNews.com) -- Armed with a Power Point presentation to illustrate the state of American energy, John Felmy, chief economist at the American Petroleum Institute (API), said the majority of “big oil” and natural gas ownership is in good hands – the hands of the American people.

According to a report published in 2007 by Sonecon, an economic advisory firm that analyses U.S. markets and public policy, corporate management owns only 1.5 percent of the U.S. oil and natural gas industry.

California's sweeping plan to institute cap and trade and regulate "greenhouse gases" has been thrown out by a San Francisco judge.

SFGate.com reports:

The California Air Resources Board violated state environmental law in 2008 when it adopted a comprehensive plan to reduce greenhouse gases and again last year when it passed cap-and-trade regulations, a San Francisco Superior Court judge has ruled in a tentative decision.
