I post this because it is completely instructive of the intellectual vapidity of the liberals, not to mention the ease of which Pelosi lies through her teeth with her figures and statistics.
The Republicans are not advocating for any tax cuts. They are saying to leave the current rates in place.
NOT raising taxes on the "rich" costs $700B! They spent $3.3 Trillion without any money in the bank. They just print more and the hell with the middle class.
She talks of tac cuts for the middle class? The tax rates are staying the same. What cuts!
Unemployment just went ot 9.8%. The Democrats have spent TRILLIONS, and what is there to show for it? Nothing. Because government doesn't create jobs.
My prescription. Lower all individual tax rates to 12% with low income offsets. Lower corporate rates to 15%. Eliminate all corporate and farm subsidies - this is crony capitalism and artificially manipulates the markets. Shrink government by 20% - eliminate Departments of Agriculture, Education, National Endowment for the Arts, and others which aren't Constitutionally authorized and put responsibility for those areas back in the hands of the States.
Pelosi and her ilk should be in jail. They have stolen money for decades and put this nation in the place it is in. Congress makes Bernie Madoff and ENRON look like petty crooks.
