The EPA is unilaterally preparing to enact new rules and mandates at the first of the year. Rules and mandates which will cause significant increases in energy prices, and unsustainable burdens on many companies, cities and counties. Unemployment will rise as companies who are unable to comply due to the heavy financial burden close, or lay workers off. The new Congress should defund and weaken the EPA to avert an economic disaster. - Brian

While Americans are distracted by Christmas preparations, the Environmental Protection Agency is seeking to regulate so-called greenhouse gases (GHG) on January 2, 2011.
More specifically, it would regulate emissions from power plants and other large emitters, which would end the role of coal as the provider of 50% of the electricity Americans require.
