During the "Arab Spring" riots that started in Tunisia, Egypt, and elsewhere across Northern Africa and the Middle East, individuals like Glenn Beck, Pam Gellar, and many others were ridiculed for pointing out that what was happening was neither spontaneous, nor "democracy movements?. We have now seen that the Muslim Brotherhood had a much larger role in these movements than the "experts" were saying, and it is looking more and more like an Islamic caliphate is coming to fruition across much of the Middle East and N. Africa. The latest piece is the announcement that the new Libyan government will be formed under Sharia. Will we hear the talking heads from the left like Paul Krugman, Rachel Maddow, Ed Schultz, Lawrence O'Donnell, and the rest of these useful idiots admit that they were wrong? No. They will continue to blast those who point out the obvious as being Islamophobes and racists, while portraying the Islamofacists as harmless, and are self-determining their future. Sharia is the "new" democracy? Ask Afghans who lived under the Taliban how democratic a sharia state is.
LIBYAN TRANSITIONAL LEADER: SHARIA WILL BE ‘BASIC SOURCE’ OF ALL LAW
BENGHAZI, Libya (AP) — Libya‘s transitional leader declared his country’s liberation on Sunday, three days after the hated dictator Moammar Gadhafi was captured and killed.
He called on Libyans to show “patience, honesty and tolerance” and eschew hatred as they embark on rebuilding the country at the end of an 8-month civil war.
The transitional government leader Mustafa Abdul-Jalil set out a vision for the post-Gadhafi future with an Islamist tint, saying that Islamic Sharia law would be the “basic source” of legislation in the country and that existing laws that contradict the teachings of Islam would be nullified.
