Rep. Giffords Shot - Hysterical Media Blames Tea Party & Conservative Radio

First things first.  My Prayers and sympathies go out to all of the victims of the shooting in Tucson, by the homicidal maniac Jared Loughner.  This guy was completely unhinged and, judging by some of the videos I watched over the weekend, had "lost it" a long time ago.
It didn't take long for the people to start to tie this whole tragedy to Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, and the Tea Party.  It started with Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik, who stated before the investigation had even begun, "When you look at unbalanced people, how they respond to the vitriol that comes out of certain mouths about tearing down the government. The anger, the hatred, the bigotry that goes on in this country is getting to be outrageous," he said. "And unfortunately, Arizona I think has become sort of the capital. We have become the mecca for prejudice and bigotry."
Jane Fonda then began to weigh in on her Twitter account, blaming Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, and the Tea Party.
So the narrative starts.  Right-wing nuts are being driven to violence by all of the vitriol being spewed by conservative talk radio, conservative politicians, and redneck Tea Partiers.  One problem with their claim.  This nut case wasn't a member of the Tea Party, and apparently had no allegiance to government of any kind.  He was an anarchist and an atheist.  He liked reading the Communist Manifesto, Mein Kampf, as well as Animal Farm and Brave New World.  He was into mind control and dreams.  In other words - he was certifiable.  He had been stalking Congresswoman Giffords since 2007.  Yet, I expect the commentators, pundits and the rest of the left-wing media types will continue to run with their typical group-think mantra of blaming the dangerous rhetoric of right-wing talk radio.  Like the Olahoma City Bombing, it will be the fault of Limbaugh or Beck, but not the guy who actually pulled the trigger.
Another template I fully expect to take hold: The Gun.  The gun used had an extended clip.  This will be used to as a reason to make another frontal assault on the 2nd Amendment, and tighten firearms legislation.  Remember: "Never let a crisis go to waste."  Progressives live by this creed, and will take full advantage of the shock of this senseless act, with the help of useful idiots like Rosie O'Donnell, to scream their outrage about this guy having a gun, and a clip that held 18 bullets.
One thing that the media won't address: all of the hateful rhetoric, and actual violence coming from the left.
Michelle Malkin has compiled a huge list of examples of leftist violence, rhetoric, and actual hate-filled behavior.  This is stuff that I am betting you haven't seen before, because the media has chosen to ignore it.  It doesn't fit their narrative that "all hate comes from the right."  Take time to go through all of it.  It is truly eye-opening, as well as interesting and informative.

The Tuscon massacre ghouls who are now trying to criminalize conservatism have forced our hand.

They need to be reminded. You need to be reminded.

Confront them. Don’t be cowed into silence.

And don’t let the media whitewash the sins of the hypocritical Left in their naked attempt to suppress the law-abiding, constitutionally-protected, peaceful, vigorous political speech of the Right.

They want to play tu quo que in the middle of a national tragedy? They asked for it. They got it.
