In what is probably the most humorous thing to come out of the "Occupy Wall Street" movement is this blurb of how the organizers of OWS are trademarking the name in preparation for selling clothing, bags. and other "capitalist" ventures. Oh, the Horror!
The organizers of Occupy Wall Street have now applied to trademark the movement’s name. Filed one week after a similar application from a Long Island couple (see our earlier T+B post on that news), the application covers Classes 16 (periodicals and newsletters), 18 (bags), 25 (clothing), and 41 (entertainment services). The application notes the date of first use as July 1, 2011.
