AFL-CIO Head thug Richard Trumka, has launched the first salvo into the closing of Hostess Brands, claiming that it is "Bain-style" vulture capitalism that is responsible for the company closing.
This fat slob is the epitome of the union thugs show in old black and white movies, attacking non-union workers with ball bats, and brass knuckles. He's a pig in an expensive suit, paid for with the money confiscated from hard-working union members, many of whom have no choice but to join and pay dues if they want to work.
While he's out making speeches saying "let's take these son of a bitches out", and preaching some warped view of standing on principles, the American people and business are getting more than a little tired of the union's thug tactics, disingenuous "bargaining", and marxist screeds.
Let's face it, 18,000-plus more American's are out of work due to the inflexibility of the baker's union in this deal. Let me see: 8% pay cut to save the company, or strike and close the doors? A no brainer, unless you're Trumka and his ilk. He would rather see those people out of work and try to use it for political points than keep those union members working.Maybe I was wrong in calling him a pig. After all, pigs a relatively smart.
Union: 'Bain-style' killing of Twinkie

The Bain attack is back. This time it’s being used against Hostess Brands, the Twinkies and Wonder Bread maker that announced Friday it was closing. AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka drew the comparison in a public statement Friday.
“What’s happening with Hostess Brands is a microcosm of what’s wrong with America, as Bain-style Wall Street vultures make themselves rich by making America poor,” Trumka said in a public statement. “Crony capitalism and consistently poor management drove Hostess into the ground, but its workers are paying the price.”
