Chris Christie: You Tube Darling...but Not Conservative

Christie at the swearing-in ceremony of Union ...Image via Wikipedia

h/t to Conservative New Jersey

It is easy to get sucked into the Chris Christie hysteria if you watch one of his You Tube videos where he takes apart the Teachers Union, or attacks sacred cows in the New Jersey budget.  But these videos are the side of Chris Christie that Chris Christie wants people to see.  After going through my own bit of excitement about a politician who "got it", my antenna finally went up.  I remembered something that my parents taught me years ago: "If it seems to good too be true, it probably is."
I also remembered this when I first heard this unknown politician in the ninety's named Ross Perot.  I was watching him on T.V., and he seemed to be saying all the right things, and none of the wrong ones.  I was thinking, "Wow! This guy really gets it! He's speaking my language."  It didn't take long though, before I realized that behind all the folksy talk, he had a lot of goofy ideas too.  Kind of like Ron Paul.  Don't get me wrong.  There are some things I like about what all of these guys say, but we have to look at the PR machine behind them sometimes to see the real man (or woman).  Look at all of their positions. Not one or two
So it is with Chris Christie.  I'm not saying he's a bad guy.  I like the fact that he stands up to a lot of the special interests and doesn't take any guff. But, he's not a conservative.  He has some conservative ideas and positions. He also has some ideas and positions which fall waaaay outside the conservative mainstream.  Things like gun control, global warming and Cap & Trade, universal health care, and illegal immigration.  These are not small potatoes we are talking here.  Not when it comes to conservative ideals.
Chris Christie may be great for New Jersey, but conservatives should really find out a whole lot more about him before putting him in the same league as a Marco Rubio, Michelle Bachmann, a Bobby Jindal, or Ronald Reagan.
In my humble opinion, he's not even close.

Chris Christie: A Conservative Myth - Intro

Lately, it has become fashionable among conservatives and Republicans nationwide to lavish effusive praise and encomiums upon Governor Chris Christie as the “Conservative Savior” of New Jersey - and this trend has begun to mushroom into a fervent cult of pseudo-personality that is already calling for him to throw his hat into the 2012 Presidential campaign ring.

NOTE: This is the introductory post for an eight part series. As each part gets published, it will be linked in every other part - including this one. Before complaining that we have offered no proof for our assertions, please take a moment to examine the various posts that have been linked at the end of this post.

**********************************

No less a luminary than Rush Limbaugh places Gov. Christie on his short list of putative contenders for the Oval Office.
If the polls are right and there is a conservative Republican landslide this week, Limbaugh will turn his attention to imposing the Limbaugh Rule in 2012. I recently asked him to rate a list of the leading aspirants—Newt Gingrich, Haley Barbour, Mitt Romney, Sarah Palin, Mike Huckabee, Tim Pawlenty, and Chris Christie—on a scale of 1 (if this is the nominee, I’m moving to Costa Rica) to 10 (Reagan redux). In reply he gave Huckabee a 4; Pawlenty, Gingrich, and Romney 6’s; Barbour a 7. Palin and Christie each scored an 8.
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot…Chris Christie scores an 8just two notches away from Reagan??!!

Wisconsin Teachers Union Uses Students as Human AstroTurf

Didn't Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats call this kind of thing "Astroturf"?  This is low, even by Teacher Union standards.  They'll spin it as some kind of lesson on "civic duty", but it is simply an artificial swelling of numbers, and a chance for the kids to have a day off from being indoctrinated, I mean "educated".

Shocking Vid: Wis. HS Students Admit Teachers Bringing Them to Protests but Don‘t Know Why They’re There

As Wisconsin unions rally to protest Gov. Scott Walker‘s emergency budget proposal that would get rid of most of the state workers’ collective bargaining privileges, video posted on YouTube appears to show teachers pulling high school students into the conflict.

The video, taken by Wisconsin’s conservative MacIver Institute, shows students from Madison‘s East High School claiming their teachers brought them to protests at the State Capitol and also openly admitting that they really don’t know why they’re there:

Useful Idiot Alert: Jimmy Carter - Muslim Brotherhood "nothing to be afraid of."

Posted by Brian
Former President Jimmy Carter, apparently feeling ignored, stepped into the spotlight to let everybody know the they have nothing to fear from the Muslim Brotherhood. Carter, explaining that Anwar Sadat was one of the finest men he ever met, incomprehensibly forgets that it was the Muslim Brotherhood that assasinated(!) Sadat.  Does someone need to explain to Carter that this was the very reason that Hosni Mubarak outlawed the Muslim Brotherhood as a political entity in Egypt?  I find it incomprehensible that anybody looks to Jimmy Carter as an authority on anything in the Middle East.  This is the man that hastened the overthrow of the Shah of Iran and compared the Ayatollah Khomeini to Ghandi, for Christ's sake!  That worked out really well.  Useful idiots come in all forms.  Some are even former Presidents.

Carter: Muslim Brotherhood nothing to fear
Former President Jimmy Carter told an Austin audience Tuesday evening that he expects Egypt to hold elections in September and that he doesn't worry about the Muslim Brotherhood wielding inordinate influence.

"I've known members of the Muslim Brotherhood," he told an audience at the Lyndon B. Johnson Library. "They're not anything to be afraid of."

The 39th president and Nobel Prize winner said he believes the Muslim Brotherhood is likely to form a political party, but polls suggest their support is only about 15 percent. "There's no possibility at all that they would prevail," he said. He said he expects to see "a secular, non-religious government."

ObamaCare - Full Speed Ahead

Kathleen Sebelius speaking after her official ...Image via Wikipedia

In direct defiance of a federal court order, Kathleen Sebelius and the Obama Administration continue to both fund and implement ObamaCare.  As part of an "educational outreach", because we are just too stupid to understand how wonderful ObamaCare is, HHS would increase its budget by $15.1M, over quadrupling its current budget, while increasing staffing by just under 50%.  This works out ot over $636,000 per new hire.  Ladies and gentlemen, your Obama administration looking after your money.  The arrogance, not to mention the criminal behavior, of this bunch is unbelievable.  Combined with Obama's new $3.7T budget proposal, the answer that we are getting from this administration in regards to the message sent by the American people on November 2nd, is "Screw You! We do what we want."  Are you pissed off yet?!

HHS looks to boost messaging efforts

By Jason Millman - 02/15/11 04:34 PM ET

The Obama administration health department office tasked with selling the healthcare reform law is looking to quadruple its budget while almost doubling the size of its staff.

Under the Department of Health and Human Services’ fiscal 2012 budget request, the assistant secretary for public affairs' office would get a bump from $4.8 million to $19.9 million in fiscal 2012. Meanwhile, the office would grow from 24 to 46 full-time equivalent employees.

Almost all of the new funding would be used to improve healthcare.gov and to conduct an educational outreach campaign “designed to help Americans understand and access their benefits and information under the law,” HHS wrote in its budget justification. The efforts were funded in fiscal 2010 and 2011 under the reform law, according to the budget document.

Internet "Kill Switch" - If The Government Controls Communication, Then What?

An unprotected kill switch.Image via Wikipedia

Regardless of how they try to spin this, protection from cyber attack, or whatever, this bill would give the Federal Government absolute power to control the means of communication among it's citizens.  It will be interesting to see how the media reports this, what with all of their cheerleading in the Egyptian protests.  The ability of the protestors to be able to organize was only possible because they could freely communicate.  The first day of the protests, the Egyptian government shut down the internet and cell towers to squelch communication, but under pressure restored those services.  If the media supports this bill, it will be clear that their template will have already been written for them by those on the left.  If the government is able to control the means of communication, they then have absolute control over your voice, and your ability to effectively communicate.

'Kill Switch' Internet bill alarms privacy experts

By Jon Swartz, USA TODAY

SAN FRANCISCO — A raging debate over new legislation, and its impact on the Internet, has tongues wagging and fingers pointing from Silicon Valley to Washington, D.C.

Just as the Egyptian government recently forced the Internet to go dark, U.S. officials could flip the switch if the Protecting Cyberspace as a National Asset legislation becomes law, say its critics.

Proponents of the bill, which is expected to be reintroduced in the current session of Congress, dismiss the detractors as ill-informed — even naive.

The ominously nicknamed Kill Switch bill is sure to be a flashpoint of discussion at the RSA Conference, the nation's largest gathering of computer-security experts that takes place here this week.

Exodus II?: Egyptians, Tunisians Flee To Italy

Posted by Brian
Is the reporting by a jubilant media of the recent "peaceful" protests in Egypt really the whole story?  If the situation is so celebratory, why are we now getting reports of boat people heading to Europe?  What are they escaping?  I thought that this was a citizen uprising to bring "democracy" to North Africa and everything was going to be kumbaya.  As for the "peaceful" part of the story, I found it amazing that reporters were talking about the celebratory atmosphere, while at the same time other reporters were getting the crap beat out of them and one female reporter was being sexually assaulted by a group of two hundred  of these "peaceful" protestors.
The coming weeks and months are going to be very telling of whether this was a "democracy movement", or something much more insidious.  I mean, the man in charge of the panel to write the new Egyptian constitution is only a longtime member of the Muslim Brotherhood.  What could possibly go wrong there?

VOMIT ALERT: Pelosi: "Republicans Put Women And Children Last"

This is the same, tired mantra of the left: "Women, children and minorities hit hardest." Okay, so she didn't play the race card (this time), but the Democrat message template always follows one, or all, of those paths. There is not a single government program or entity that is not a "sacred cow" to those on the left - except the military. The government has spent over $9 Trillion dollars on welfare since its inception and we have...what to show for it? How is that war on poverty working out for you? These government programs don't work because they are based on entitlement instead of empowerment. It is not impossible to get out of the welfare system, but all of the incentives are to keep a person in the system. The only incentive that a person has to get out is their own self-respect, which gets slowly sucked out of them the longer they are in the system. Nancy Pelosi has the chutzpah to claim that she cares for these people? She and her ilk have been the ones promising better lives to these people for generations, all the while putting roadblocks in front of them every step of the way. If you want to see what a vampire looks like, look at Nancy Pelosi, as she sucks the human spirit out of every one of those whom she claims to stand up for.

Obama Administration Cozying Up To Al Jazeera?

Posted by Brian
What is it about the Obama Administration that they want to cozy up and play footsy with anything, and everything, Arab or Muslim?  Is it any wonder that half of the people wonder whether or not this guy is a Muslim?  I don't believe that he is.  I believe that he is a Marxist, which is why he attended a church that is rooted in Marxist ideology (social justice).  However, Obama is certainly an apologist for Muslim countries and much of the radical Islamists.  I don't believe he truly understands the threat that radical Islam presents.  He sees them as oppressed freedom fighters, standing up for poor, struggling Muslim masses, which just happens to fit in nicely with his Marxist viewpoint.

Fox News‘ Bill O’Reilly recently hosted a heated discussion on whether Al-Jazeera should be “praised” for its coverage, which often includes anti-American and anti-Semitic rhetoric:

Glenn Beck also recently noted the network’s anti-American bias:

Documentary: Children Beaten, And Worse, in British Muslim Schools

Out of control multi-culturalism is allowing this kind of crap to happen in once-Great Britain.  "We have to be respectful and tolerant of other cultures".  Well, when a society is tolerant of a culture that is aberrant, how is that helping the society at large?  If being multi-cultural means eating different kinds of ethnic foods, or appreciating different dancing or dress, I'm on board.  When it means being tolerant of misogynistic behavior, teaching violence, hate, and overthrowing the government of the host country, or killing those with whom they disagree on religious or any other basis, then multi-culturalism becomes a death wish.  I will not participate in what the left defines as tolerant.

  • Boy threatened with bench by senior student left in charge of class

Grabbed: Secretly filmed footage from the Markazi Jamia mosque shows a teacher pulling a pupil towards him and striking him on the back
It is an assembly hall of the sort found in any ordinary school. Boys aged 11 and upwards sit cross-legged on the floor in straight rows. They face the front of the room and listen carefully. But this is no ordinary assembly. Holding the children’s attention is a man in Islamic dress wearing a skullcap and stroking his long dark beard as he talks.

‘You’re not like the non-Muslims out there,’ the teacher says, gesturing towards the window. ‘All that evil you see in the streets, people not wearing the hijab properly, people smoking . . . you should hate it, you should hate walking down that street.’

He refers to the ‘non-Muslims’ as the ‘Kuffar’, an often derogatory term that means disbeliever or infidel.

Mohamed Atta and the Muslim Brotherhood

By Jeffrey Lord on 2.15.11 @ 6:09AM

"One of the main points of his critique (of Egyptian society) was the contrast between a few rich people and the mass of people with barely enough to survive."
-- 9/11 Egyptian hijack leader Mohamed Atta socialist's beliefs as described by a friend

"The wild beast is checked. We can afford to loosen the chain."
-- Bavarian Prime Minister Dr. Heinrich Held on releasing Adolf Hitler from prison in 1924

"[A] con job needs a con man and a sucker. In their case many suckers even managed not to take in what they saw with their own eyes, or rather somehow to process unpleasantness mentally into something acceptable…. Mind-set seems too strong a word: these were minds like jelly, ready for the master's imprint.… [T]his was an intellectual and moral disgrace on a massive scale."
-- Historian Robert Conquest on the Left and Stalin's Russia

Mohamed Atta.

An Egyptian, it was he who forced his way into the cockpit of American Airlines Flight 11 after it left Logan Airport in Boston on the morning of September 11, 2001.

An anti-capitalist, it was he, whom friends later described to the UK's left-leaning Guardian newspaper as being "very critical of capitalistic, Western development schemes… of big hotels and office buildings" -- and became infamous for ramming a Boeing 767, flying at 500 miles an hour and loaded with 15,000 gallons of jet fuel, into the North Tower of the World Trade Center in New York City. A building that was the very symbol of capitalism mere blocks from the heart of Wall Street.

It was he, trained as an architect and a pilot and belonging to the Muslim Brotherhood-controlled "Engineers Syndicate," who had practiced repeatedly for this moment of mass murder in the tallest of buildings. A moment that arrived precisely at 8:46 a.m. as he expertly leveraged the speeding jet between the 93rd and 98th floors of the North Tower, causing the structure to collapse.

Why Does Obama Support Regime Change in Egypt But Not in Iran?

By Aaron Goldstein on 2.15.11 @ 6:08AM

Last week, I attended the premiere of the film Iranium, a documentary about Iran's Islamic regime and its apocalyptic intentions towards the United States, Israel, and the rest of the world, not to mention its own people.

Yet with the protests in Tahrir Square, Egypt was very much on the minds of those assembled. How could it not be? After all, the beginning of the film showed scenes from the demonstrations that gripped Tehran in early 1979. A critical mass of Iranian society, both secular and Islamic, joined forces to demand that Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, better known as the Shah, leave office. The protesters, of course, got their wish and ended up with a regime far worse than they could have possibly imagined.

In 2011, there is very little to leave to the imagination. Despite the largely secular aspirations of the protesters in Cairo, the Muslim Brotherhood remains the best organized opposition force (and best armed) in the country. While some might take comfort in Hosni Mubarak's departure and take additional comfort in the Egyptian military temporarily taking the reins of power, the political situation in Egypt is far from resolved. With such fragility and uncertainty abound one cannot discount the possibility of an Iran like Islamic takeover albeit a Sunni version.

Stop the Presses: Shutting Down the Civil Rights Commission’s Investigation of DOJ

President Obama and Harry Reid have used their appointment powers to stop the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights' investigation into the New Black Panther Party voter-intimidation case. (Don't miss James Poulos' PJTV interview with von Spakovsky and J. Christian Adams from CPAC.)
February 15, 2011 - by Hans A. von Spakovsky

For a while, at least, the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights was investigating the Justice Department’s race-based decision to dismiss the New Black Panther Party voter-intimidation case — a case DOJ had effectively won. But now President Obama and Harry Reid have used their appointment powers to stop the investigation.

Never mind the incontrovertible (and mounting) evidence that Eric Holder’s Justice Department applies a racial double standard to the enforcement of several civil rights laws. Holder has been trying to shut down the investigation for 18 months by unlawfully stonewalling all requests for relevant documents and emails and ordering Department employees not to appear for depositions and interviews when subpoenaed.

On Feb. 11, the Commission had its first business meeting with the replacements for several of the commissioners whose terms had expired in December. Former Commissioners Ashley Taylor and Gerald Reynolds had supported the investigation of both the DOJ’s dismissal of the voter-intimidation lawsuit and the far more damning testimony regarding the harassment and intimidation of anyone at DOJ who believes in the race-neutral enforcement of the civil rights laws.

'Brothers' in Egypt Present Two Faces

By CHARLES LEVINSON

CAIRO—Moaz Abdel Karim, an affable 29-year-old who was among a handful of young activists who plotted the recent protests here, is the newest face of the Muslim Brotherhood. His political views on women's rights, religious freedom and political pluralism mesh with Western democratic values. He is focused on the fight for democracy and human rights in Egypt.

A different face of the Brotherhood is that of Mohamed Badi, 66-year-old veterinarian from the Brotherhood's conservative wing who has been the group's Supreme Guide since last January. He recently pledged the Brotherhood would "continue to raise the banner of jihad" against the Jews, which he called the group's "first and foremost enemies." He has railed against American imperialism, and calls for the establishment of an Islamic state.

Will Obama Support Democratic Protestors In Iran - This Time?

Posted by Brian
We all remember the scenes of democratic protestors spontaneously taking to the street of Tehran a little over a year ago, pleading for those in the West to show signs of support. President Obama and Western leaders were silent.  Iranian citizens were gunned down and the protests were squashed.  Buoyed be uprisings in the Middle East, Iranians have taken to the streets a second time.  Obama was quick to throw Mubarak, an ally, under the bus very early when protests broke out in Egypt.  When protests broke out in Iran, a regime with a President who has called for the destruction of Israel, and which has Hezbollah as a front group in the Middle East, Obama was completely silent. Will Obama stand up for democratic protestors in Iran, or does he only stand up to protestors who seek to overthrow our allies?

Obama Budget Breaks The Bank, and The Back of the United States

Posted by Brian

New Centrist, Same As the Old Marxist
Now is the time for the new Congress to steel themselves for the upcoming budget battle, and to communicate to the American people exactly the destruction this budget will do to the American economy, and to each and every American.  Despite the President's calls for getting our fiscal house in order, his new budget does exactly the opposite.  His proposed budget increases spending by staggering amounts. Fully one in four of every good or service produced will be going to feed the federal government.  Spending continues to increase at breakneck speed over the next decade, culminating in $46 Trillion total spending over the next decade, with $8.7 Trillion being NEW spending.  There are also over $2 Trillion in tax increases in this proposal.  These are his numbers.  In addition, these numbers are based on rosy economic growth and hiring in the private sector, and unemployment dropping to 8.2%.  He says it will lower the deficit by $1.1 Trillion.  This is all smoke and mirrors.  His numbers don't add up. What does add up is debt piled on our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
What if that growth doesn't materialize?  Even if it does, according to his own numbers, the deficit increases to $7.2 Trillion by the end of the decade. Is this what a "centrist" Obama looks like?  It looks exactly the same as the leftist Obama.  Out of control spending, tax increases, debt and deficits as far as the eye can see. The Washington Times is reporting that the nation's debt now is on track to exceed the entire U.S. economy!  How is this "centrist"!  It's not! It's Marxist!
If the GOP does not fight back and reject this monstrosity, the economy will collapse.  Now is not the time to pussy-foot around. Spending must decrease drastically.  Entire Federal Departments need to be gutted - de-funded and shut down.  This type of debt cannot be trimmed around the edges.  Democrats like to talk of using a scalpel to trim the fat.  No, this budget and this government is one big fat pig, and needs to be trimmed with a chainsaw. Deep cuts need to be enacted in all areas, especially areas which the Constitution does not specifically address as being the role of the Federal Government. Failure to do so is going to result in an economic train wreck.

Obama’s Spending Spree: By the Numbers

$3.73 trillion — total spending this year (25 percent of GDP, highest levels since World War Two).

$46 trillion — total spending over the next decade.

$8.7 trillion — total new spending over the same period.

$26.3 trillion — Total new debt, including entitlement obligations, predicted by 2021.

Obama Petulant Child Alert

Obama-MubarakImage by Muhammad غفّاري via Flickr
Posted by Brian

Fresh off of his speech declaring that we were watching "history unfold" in Egypt, and declaring that Hosni Mubarak was ready to step down and oversee a peaceful transition of power, Obama gets those words snapped off in him. "Mubarak was supposed to step down, dammit! Why wouldn't he? I'm Barack Hussein Obama, and I've been telling him to do it for over two weeks!"
Apparently, President Mubarak doesn't take kindly to others telling him what to do and how to do it.  Especially not from some snot-nosed newbie to the world stage who is having problems of his own back home.  I mean, he didn't get involved in the popular uprising in Iran, where Iranians were getting killed by government forces.  He barely said a word.  But when a so-called grassroots uprising happens in Egypt, which is looking more and more sophisticated and organized than initially thought, Obama is asking, no telling Mubarak to listen to the the people and do the right thing.
Hey, he knows of which he speaks.  Remember last year when the Tea Party rose up all over the country, form small towns to large cities, demanding that our government listen to its people, kill ObamaCare and stop the out-of-control spending? Obama stepped right up and listened to the people, right?  He told Congress to "Let my people go!" I can remember it like it was yesterday. Except that it was Reagan who freed the economic giant and removed many of the shackles of government from his people.  I guess I was mixed up from all of the talk of how Obama has been so Reaganesque. No. what Obama did when the people rose up was, he gave them a big middle finger, and encouraged the then-Democrat controlled Congress to push through as much legislation as they could.  Legislation the people were protesting against.  Why would Hosni Mubarak want to listen to a man that is asking him to do what he would not do.
I am not defending Hosni Mubarak. He is, after all a dictator.  However, he has been a stabilizing force in that area regarding Israel and keeping the Muslim Brotherhood in check.  The Obama Administration's handling of this has been pathetic.  They threw Mubarak under the bus before they, or anybody, knew what was actually happening on the ground.  Is this going to be the template from this administration for how the U.S. treats its allies?  The decisions made by this President in this situation are goingto reverberate around the world, to allies and enemies alike.
What will a post-Mubarak Egypt look like? Who will run it?  Right now, nobody knows. To have our President tell another President, and a long time ally at that,  not only to step down (it sounds like he's meddling in other peoples affairs), but to make sure that a group such as the Muslim Brotherhood  has a seat at the table of the new government, is not only arrogant, but dangerously naive. To be visibly disappointed when it doesn't happen and to ask Egypts leaders to "explain" what this means comes across as an Administration that is incompetent and completely disengaged from what has been happening and is just now trying to play catch-up.

Losing patience, Obama challenges Egypt's leaders

By BEN FELLER, AP White House Correspondent Ben Feller, Ap White House Correspondent – Fri Feb 11, 6:21 am ET

WASHINGTON – Showing deepening dismay, President Barack Obama is questioning whether Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak's promised transfer of power has any credibility or meaning. As a defiant Mubarak stayed in office, Obama challenged the autocratic Egyptian government to explain its path toward democracy to its people and the world.

Without naming Mubarak directly, Obama issued a written statement on Thursday night in which he criticized the leader for a lack of clarity and direction. That assessment came after Mubarak surprised those protesting in Egypt's streets by saying, in a broadly watched speech, that he would shift powers to his vice president but remain in charge of the country.

The agency’s head, John Pistole, recently gave its 40,000-plus employees the right to bargain collectively on “non-security employment issues.” Two unions, the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) and the National Treasury Employees Union (NTEU), will compete in an election tentatively set to begin March 9.

Panetta Gets Intelligence From T.V.?

Leon PanettaImage via Wikipedia
Posted by Brian
The Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, Leon Panetta, gave Congressional testimony about the situation in Egypt based on what he saw on the news?  Oh, how the might CIA has fallen. Has our intelligence service been so gutted that we now have a bunch of analysts watching CNN to get their information of what is going on around the world?  "What's the situation in Egypt?  Quick! Turn on Christiane Amanpour to see what she is reporting.  I've heard she has an "in" with the Muslim Brotherhood."
This might also explain how National Inteligence Director James Clapper described the Muslim Brotherhood as a "secular organization" who "eschews violence".  The same Muslim Brotherhood who assassinated Anwar Sadat and spawned Hamas and Al Qaeda.
Folks, we are in deep kim chee as long as this bunch remains in power.

Report: CIA Chief Based Congressional Testimony On Mubarak Departure On Media

by Colby Hall 10:30 pm, February 10th, 2011

CIA Director Leon Panetta testified to Congress today of a “strong likelihood” that Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak would step down by the end of the day. The report of his impending resignation was only eclipsed by the news that Mubarak would NOT be stepping down as Panetta had indicated to congress. The worse part isn’t that Panetta was basing his statement on on media reports (and not intelligence.) No, National Intelligence Director James Clapper outdid Panetta with his erroneous claim that the Muslim Brotherhood is a “secular” organization.

Certainly the current upheaval unfolding in Egypt is a fluid situation, best described as a leaderless revolt that has put the State Department, the Pentagon and the CIA all on their heels. As it turns out, the true diplomatic stars so far in this story has been the media, who’s on the field reports have not only created compelling visuals for cable news outlets around the world, but also, strangely, informed the CIA director in his statements to Congress.

Welfare Has Destroyed Black Americans

Welfare Has Destroyed Black Americans

Al Curry12/11/10 Filed in: Al Curry
h.t to Freedom Man

The vast majority of black men used to be hard working family men. These were men that would earn an honest wage to provide for their wives and children, and if need be, work multiple jobs to ensure their family was secure. I know this may be hard to believe, but black men would actually go off to work, while the wife stayed home to tend to the home and children. Admittedly, it’s hard for me to believe this also since I have never seen this picture in my lifetime. Nevertheless, I have to take history’s word for it.

The pathetic picture we see today is a gross number of black women standing in welfare lines, while their “baby’s Daddy” hits the streets with the “homeboys” (and definitely not because he is looking for a job).

Yes, most blacks today are uneducated, they are not useful assets to their employers, they are poor, and they are on some sort of government subsidy. I’m being very kind in this description because the objective reality is far worse. I call this modern day slavery, which may actually be worse than the pre Civil War slavery that occurred. Yes, many blacks were held and forced involuntarily to work for another man as his life was counted as mere property (which was not only unconstitutional, but unbiblical). However, three to five years after the 13th amendment was passed by a Republican dominated Congress, and signed off by the first Republican President, black men quickly became articulate Congressmen, enterprising entrepreneurs, university professors and educators, and wealthy and productive American citizens.

Pelosi: Stupidity On Parade

Posted by Brian
Nancy "Stretch" Pelosi, who as Speaker of the House, oversaw one of the greatest overall job losses is the nation's history, is criticizing Republicans, one month after they were sworn in.  While the nation was bleeding to death in job losses, the Pelosi Congress tackled Health Care ("we need to pass it so you can find out what's in it"), "Don't Ask, Don't Tell", and any other liberal agenda item having nothing to do with encouraging the private sector to create jobs.  Her stupidity is matched only by her arrogance.

Pelosi Takes Aim at Republicans, Criticizing Their Efforts on Job Creation

Thursday, February 10, 2011 By Susan Jones

(CNSNews.com) - House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi will join United Steelworkers President Leo Gerard at a noontime press conference on Thursday, where they will highlight "the urgent need for Congress to take action on America's top priority -- job creation." (The quotation is from Pelosi's news release.)

Democrats will try to make it appear that Republicans, who now control the House, are sidetracked by “oversight” rather than job creation.

Obama Administration Continues to Violate Judges Orders

Kathleen Sebelius speaking after her official ...Image via Wikipedia

Even after a Federal Judge has found the Obama Administration in Contempt of Court, this administration goes full steam ahead spending taxpayer dollars on ObamaCare, in violation of the law.  Why are members of Congress not drawing up Articles of Impeachment on all members of this administration who are willfully, and with full knowledge, violating court orders. Until, and if, a higher court overturns this decision, the healthcare law is null and void, and no taxpayer funds are to be spent in implementing one aspect of it.  The Obama Administration is arrogant, and apparently believes that they are above the laws and the courts.  Somebody needs to have the cojones to bring this lawless bunch back down to earth.

Obama Administration Continues Spending Taxpayer Money Authorized by a Law Declared Unconstitutional

Thursday, February 10, 2011 By Susan Jones

(CNSNews.com) - A federal judge in Florida recently ruled that the entire health care law is unconstitutional – a ruling Judge Roger Vinson described as “the functional equivalent of an injunction.” But that hasn't stopped the Obama administration from spending hundreds of millions of dollars authorized by the disputed law.

On Wednesday, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius announced a $750 million investment in prevention and public health -- funded through the Prevention and Public Health Fund, which was created by the new health care law.

Congressman Defines Stupid

Posted by Brian
So as not to be called on the carpet for not addressing the stupid things that politicians from the GOP do, I post the story of the idiot who sent a photo (shirtless) of himself to a woman he was tryin to pick up on Craigslist. Stupidity knows no political affiliation.  At least he had the good sense to resign immediately. I've already given this story more space than it deserves.

Married GOP Congressman Sent Sexy Pictures to Craigslist Babe

Maureen O'Connor — Rep. Christopher Lee is a married Republican congressman serving the 26th District of New York. But when he trolls Craigslist's "Women Seeking Men" forum, he's Christopher Lee, "divorced" "lobbyist" and "fit fun classy guy." One object of his flirtation told us her story.

Dems To Thomas: Recuse Yourself From ObamaCare Case

Posted by Brian

Democrats, attempting to divert attention from Elena Kagan, sent a letter to Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas asking him to recuse himself from the upcoming case involving the constitutionality of ObamaCare.  Their reasoning is that Thomas's wife Ginny worked for the Heritage Foundation, which opposed the health care law.  This completely ignores Elena Kagan's possible role in the architecture of the health care law while working as legal counsel for President Obama, a much more serious issue, as she may actually have fingerprints on the healthcare law.  If so, how could SHE be unbiased in her hearing the case?  Jay Sekulow has it right, though.  Worry about getting five votes.  The rst is political grandstanding.

NY Times: Liberals, Socialists, Communists & Muslim Brotherhood Working Together In Egypt

Members of the Kefaya democracy movement prote...Image via Wikipedia

Some details are beginning to come to light regarding the "spontaneous" uprisings in Egypt and across the Middle East - Leftist organizations, unions, and the groups like the Muslim Brotherhood have been cooperating and organizing with each other to destabilize the governments in the countries where we are seeing these riots.  In one of the more ludicrous statements, one naive socialist woman states that she "like(s) the Brotherhood most" because they are good at "organizing", though she admits that “They always have a hidden agenda, we know, and you never know when power comes how they will behave."  One word for you Miss Sunshine - Caliphate.  Leftists, even those with opposing agendas, are working together to topple some of these regimes, hoping that all will wash out in the end.  Marxists living in harmony with fascists. Coptic Christian socialist creating a utopia with Islamists.  All one big happy family.
Everybody! "Kumbayah".

Wired and Shrewd, Young Egyptians Guide Revolt
By DAVID D. KIRKPATRICK

Published: February 9, 2011

CAIRO — They were born roughly around the time that President Hosni Mubarak first came to power, most earned degrees from their country’s top universities and all have spent their adult lives bridling at the restrictions of the Egyptian police state — some undergoing repeated arrests and torture for the cause.

They are the young professionals, mostly doctors and lawyers, who touched off and then guided the revolt shaking Egypt, members of the Facebook generation who have remained mostly faceless — very deliberately so, given the threat of arrest or abduction by the secret police.

Now, however, as the Egyptian government has sought to splinter their movement by claiming that officials were negotiating with some of its leaders, they have stepped forward publicly for the first time to describe their hidden role.

Climate Change? Wait'll they get a load of this!

Posted by Brian
Maybe this is God's way of showing us how really insignificant we are. "You think you're so powerful that you can destroy they earth with plastic bags, aluminum cans, and exhaling a little CO2?  Wait until I flip the magnetic poles. Ever seen an F20 tornado or a category 10 hurricane?"
Magnetic Polar Shifts Causing Massive Global Superstorms

Terrence Aym Salem-News.com
Superstorms can also cause certain societies, cultures or whole countries to collapse. Others may go to war with each other.

(CHICAGO) - NASA has been warning about it…scientific papers have been written about it…geologists have seen its traces in rock strata and ice core samples…

Now "it" is here: an unstoppable magnetic pole shift that has sped up and is causing life-threatening havoc with the world's weather.

Forget about global warming—man-made or natural—what drives planetary weather patterns is the climate and what drives the climate is the sun's magnetosphere and its electromagnetic interaction with a planet's own magnetic field.

When the field shifts, when it fluctuates, when it goes into flux and begins to become unstable anything can happen. And what normally happens is that all hell breaks loose.

Clare Lopez: Answering a critic of 'Shariah: The Threat to America'

The criticism of the Team B II Report, 'Shariah: The Threat to America,' has all been the same: ad hominem, generalizations, and obfuscation. Sometimes, there's a good bit of Taqyyia (lying to non-Muslim) thrown in. Here's a great example. To read the essay, go here: http://www.centerforsecuritypolicy/. or...
