Posted by BrianRegardless of how they try to spin this, protection from cyber attack, or whatever, this bill would give the Federal Government absolute power to control the means of communication among it's citizens. It will be interesting to see how the media reports this, what with all of their cheerleading in the Egyptian protests. The ability of the protestors to be able to organize was only possible because they could freely communicate. The first day of the protests, the Egyptian government shut down the internet and cell towers to squelch communication, but under pressure restored those services. If the media supports this bill, it will be clear that their template will have already been written for them by those on the left. If the government is able to control the means of communication, they then have absolute control over your voice, and your ability to effectively communicate.
