Obama Budget Breaks The Bank, and The Back of the United States

Posted by Brian

New Centrist, Same As the Old Marxist
Now is the time for the new Congress to steel themselves for the upcoming budget battle, and to communicate to the American people exactly the destruction this budget will do to the American economy, and to each and every American.  Despite the President's calls for getting our fiscal house in order, his new budget does exactly the opposite.  His proposed budget increases spending by staggering amounts. Fully one in four of every good or service produced will be going to feed the federal government.  Spending continues to increase at breakneck speed over the next decade, culminating in $46 Trillion total spending over the next decade, with $8.7 Trillion being NEW spending.  There are also over $2 Trillion in tax increases in this proposal.  These are his numbers.  In addition, these numbers are based on rosy economic growth and hiring in the private sector, and unemployment dropping to 8.2%.  He says it will lower the deficit by $1.1 Trillion.  This is all smoke and mirrors.  His numbers don't add up. What does add up is debt piled on our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
What if that growth doesn't materialize?  Even if it does, according to his own numbers, the deficit increases to $7.2 Trillion by the end of the decade. Is this what a "centrist" Obama looks like?  It looks exactly the same as the leftist Obama.  Out of control spending, tax increases, debt and deficits as far as the eye can see. The Washington Times is reporting that the nation's debt now is on track to exceed the entire U.S. economy!  How is this "centrist"!  It's not! It's Marxist!
If the GOP does not fight back and reject this monstrosity, the economy will collapse.  Now is not the time to pussy-foot around. Spending must decrease drastically.  Entire Federal Departments need to be gutted - de-funded and shut down.  This type of debt cannot be trimmed around the edges.  Democrats like to talk of using a scalpel to trim the fat.  No, this budget and this government is one big fat pig, and needs to be trimmed with a chainsaw. Deep cuts need to be enacted in all areas, especially areas which the Constitution does not specifically address as being the role of the Federal Government. Failure to do so is going to result in an economic train wreck.

Obama’s Spending Spree: By the Numbers

Here is President Obama’s budget for fiscal year 2012 (and outlook through 2021). And here is a look at some of the numbers that stand out:

$3.73 trillion — total spending this year (25 percent of GDP, highest levels since World War Two).

$46 trillion — total spending over the next decade.

$8.7 trillion — total new spending over the same period.

$26.3 trillion — Total new debt, including entitlement obligations, predicted by 2021.

$7.2 trillion — Total deficit predicted by the end of the decade.
