John McCain, never one to miss an opportunity to stop conservative momentum in it's tracks, is now making the claim that Obama is now "more centrist". What is it with these politicians? Do they really believe that we will fall for everything they say, just because they say it? I know that McCain lost his conservative moorings long ago, if he ever had them. But for him to expect that Obama, a true believer in leftist ideology, has somehow "seen the light", and is now a "centrist", is completely naive. What part of Obama's agenda has moved to the center? His views on government-mandated health care are the same. His answer to the economy is still to pour more stimulus money down the drain, though he now calls it "investing". He's holding strong on no drilling, and still attacks the oil companies. He is putting draconian rules and regulations on coal companies, through the EPA, which will have devastating effects on mining and jobs in that industry. He has not backed down on his "green jobs" initiatives. So, how is he more centrist? Because he told everybody to "tone down the rhetoric"? Because the media is telling us that he's "pivoted" to the center? The only one who has pivoted to the center is John McCain. I'm only surprised that it took him this long. Can Lindsay Graham be far behind?
McCain says a 'much more centrist' Obama 'much' easier to work with

The president has become more centrist, which makes him easier to work with, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said Thursday.
Speaking with Bloomberg Television a day after a private meeting with President Obama, McCain said he could picture working with Obama on several issues going forward.
"I think there's a number of issues we could work on together, and I think it's pretty clear that the president has really pivoted to a much more centrist position, which I think makes it much more for us easier to work with him," McCain said.
