Biden Concocts Story of being "Quarter-mile away" from Amish Massacre

Lyin' Joe Biden Puts Himself at scene of Amish Schoolhouse Massacre
The guy can't help himself. Joe Biden, talking to a group of mayors about gun control, spoke of "hear(ing) the gunshots" of children being slaughtered at an Amish schoolhouse in 2006, while golfing at a nearby course.

One problem:  The nearest golf course to the schoolhouse is five miles away, and nobody saw or has any recollection of Biden ever having been there.

Of course many will say, "There goes good ol' Joe, again". Yeah. Such a kidder.  Biden is known for making up stories, and perhaps more famously, for plagiarizing the story of British politician Nigel Kinnock, which Slate Magazine said not only borrowed Kinnock's words, but "What he borrowed was Kinnock's life". Slate (not exactly a conservative mouthpiece) also pointed out that Biden had plagiarized John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, and Hubert Humphrey.

What is it with this bunch at the White House?  That they lie about unemployment numbers or the state of the economy is almost expected, at least from a political standpoint.  But they lie about trivial crap.

Hillary Clinton told a story of being shot at by snipers while flying into Bosnia "in one of those corkscrew landings".  But it didn't happen, and was later exposed.

Another Clinton whopper is that she was named Hillary after Mount Everest climber Sir Edmund Hillary.  The problem is that Hillary Clinton was born in 1947, while Sir Edmund Hillary did not come to fame for scaling Everest until 1953.  So, either Hillary was nameless for six years, or she lied.  I'll let you decide.

It comes as no surprise that Biden would fabricate a story of being nearly at the scene of a tragedy to make political points for his, and Barack Obama's, assault on the 2nd Amendment.  He's made a career of making up stories and saying inappropriate and stupid stuff, with little to no accountability from the press, or anyone else.  Why should he stop now?

What is so surprising is that he would make up something so easily debunked almost from the moment he vomited it out of his lying piehole.

Biden’s claim of brush with gun massacre questioned
By Dave Boyer-The Washington Times Friday, January 18, 2013

Vice President Joseph R. Biden’s claim that he heard the gunshots of a 2006 school massacre while playing golf is raising questions about his veracity or his memory. Mr. Biden told a meeting of mayors in Washington Thursday that he was about a quarter-mile away from an Amish schoolhouse on Oct. 2, 2006, when a gunman shot and killed five students and wounded five others. “I happened to be literally — probably, it turned out, to be a quarter of a mile [away] at an outing when I heard gunshots in the woods,” Mr. Biden recounted. “We didn’t know … we thought they were hunters.”
