New DNC Chair Faults GOP for Wanting Illegal Immigration to be a Crime

Debbie Wasserman-Schultz is breathtaking to watch. Not in a physical way, but in her intellectual vapidity. Earlier in the week she commented that pro-life Republicans are "anti women" for voting to cut funding to Planned Parenthood. But apparently the hatred only extends to Republicans, for when she was asked if being anti-women extended to her pro-life Democrat colleagues, she stated< "No". Her latest venture into incoherence has her accusing conservatives of wanting to make illegal immigration "a crime". This, after making the asinine statement that illegal immigrants are the "backbone of our economy". The "backbone"? Really? In fairness to Wasserman-Schultz, she does use the politically correct term "undocumented aliens" when referring to those in the country illegally, thus making her argument sound slightly less moronic.

She also dismisses a question about a recent exchange with the Republican Jewish Coalition with pert giggle, a nice tactic to show that her more conservative Jewish friends are not to be taken seriously regarding their concern that the Obama Administration has taken a decidedly more hostile stance with our longtime ally Israel, and is now more pro-Palestinian. During a joint meeting with the RJC and other Jewish groups, which included Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, Wasserman-Schultz asked that the Obama Administration's hostile stance towards Israel not be made an issue in the 2012 campaign. In other words: "Just shut up"! She never fully answers the question, but bloviates about her personal pride in being the first Jewish head of the DNC. However she never gets around to addressing how she can support an administration that has time and again been either luke-warm, or outright hostile, to Israel and it's leaders. Where was she when President Obama left Prime Minister Netanyahu to "go to lunch" on his initial trip to the White House? Not a word from then-Representative Wasserman-Schultz on the President's deplomatic 'slap in the face' our ally.

Wasserman-Schultz continues a long-line of political hacks to have held the position of DNC Chair. The fact that, as a "proud Jewish woman", she is willing to throw Israel under the bus for this, or any President, is a disgrace on so many levels.
