Andy Warhol once said the everybody gets their fifteen minutes of fame. It appears that fifteen minutes has expired for Sandra Fluke barely five weeks after her gig as a featured speaker at the 2012 DNC Convention.
The Democrat darling and face of the trumped-up GOP "War on Women", Fluke is quickly finding out that fame is fleeting, especially when your only claim to that fame is pushing an issue that nearly none of the American people, save for die-hard leftists, care one iota about - taxpayer-supplied free condoms and free birth control for women.
Speaking in Reno Saturday, a reported ten people (I count 14, or barely more than a baker's dozen) showed up for her get-out-the-early-vote speech for an Obama campaign which is seeing its national poll numbers tank on a daily, if not hourly basis. From the look of those in the photos, the excitement is palpable.
I haven't seen the Democrats throw someone out like yesterdays garbage since the Dems tossed Cindy Sheehan back into the ditch she was camping out in to protest President G. W. Bush and the Iraq war.
Don't worry, Sandra. You aren't the first, nor will you be the last, useful idiot to be used by the Dems and the media to further their agenda, only to be chewed up and spit out like gum that has lost its flavor. The cycle will be complete when they stop calling you and they are no longer answering your phone calls. Drawing "crowds" like this, that should start happening any day now.
Fluke pushes early voting in Reno
Sandra Fluke, the woman at the center of a media firestorm earlier this year after Rush Limbaugh called her a “slut,” spoke Saturday in front of about 10 people at the Sak ‘N Save in north Reno.
The speech was part of a daylong effort by Democrats to get Northern Nevadans to the polls on the first day of early voting.
