Imam Feisal Rauf claims that the Ground Zero Mosque, also known as the Cordoba Initiative, is to be an outreach center, yet at every turn makes
statements like this which are sure to stir the pot. At some point a person needs to ask if he is either tone-deaf, or is he, as some claim, more radical than his "tone" would suggest? He released a book a few years ago with the rather innocuous title "What's Right With Islam". We now know that it was released in the Muslim world with a less benign title:
"A Call to Prayer from the World Trade Center Rubble: Islamic Dawa in the Heart of America Post-9/11." (Dawa means to invite non-Muslims to accept the truth of Islam.) There are still more questions than answers regarding Imam Rauf and the Cordoba Initiative.
