On Friday, Sarah Palin took the Obama Administration to task for it's "embarrassing" hashtag diplomacy campaign on behalf of the 300 Nigerian schoolgirls kidnapped by the Islamist terrorist group, Boko Haram.
In a Facebook post titled "Obama Twittering Teeters Towards Chaos", Palin rips the Obama Administration a new one, pointedly saying, "Diplomacy via Twitter is the lazy, ineffectual, naïve, and insulting way for America’s leaders to deal with major national and international issues".
She also points out that until now, Barack Obama and the State Department under Hillary Clinton "repeatedly refused to recognize Boko Haram as terrorists despite their conventional, predictable Islamic terrorist rants, training, and mission", but now that these girls are "in a life and death situation", the Obama Administration wants to come to the rescue. "And what is the Obama administration’s weapon of choice in this battle for these young girls’ lives? Hashtagging tweets on social media!"
Palin goes on to add, "I kinda-sorta doubt a tweet will intimidate the kidnappers much. So, if you’re going to jump in and do something about these Islamic terrorists at all, then do it right, do it firmly, and kick their ass", pointing out that like the man pictured below, "winning takes warriors", not trotting out the FLOTUS to hold a sign with a hashtag and a slogan.
Sarah doesn't stop there, addressing the President directly, saying "If you’re going to get involved anyway, Mr. President, learn to understand this and believe it, then announce it: Victory is only brought to you “courtesy of the red, white and blue.” It’s certainly not won by your mere “unfriending” the bad guys on Facebook. Leading from behind is not the American way."

Overweight and A Smoker? Let Them Die!
Posted by Brian
Part of the debate leading up to the passage of ObamaCare was the accusation that socialized health care would lead to "death panels". Predictably, those on the left were apoplectic about the charge, ridiculing the very thought that "civilized" people would ever have a thought like that cross our minds. That conservatives would even bring it up was proof-positive of the sickness of the conservative mind, and the lengths we would go to scare people about the dangers of a massive new bureaucracy overseeing the nation's health care system.
Not so fast!
A little over three years later, the Associated Press is reporting that there IS a debate within the medical and political community of whether it is more cost effective to withhold treatment for those who they judge have unhealthy living habits - smokers and the overweight - and just let them die.
If a group of bureaucrats, politicians, or even doctors are sitting around a table determining whether another person has the right to medical care, or whether they should just "let them die", couldn't that be defined as, dare I say it, a "Death Panel"?
Of course, those making the charge that ObamaCare would lead to death panels were publicly excoriated, Sarah Palin most notably, with liberal pundits (and some "conservatives") ridiculing those who dared to expose this "unintended consequence" as jumping the proverbial shark.
But, a funny thing has happened along the way: First, Obama's choice of Donald Berwick to run the Center for Medicare and Medicaid services, which oversees the ObamaCare program, is outspokenly in favor of care rationing as a means to hold down costs. In other words, let people die if it costs too much. Like all leftists, Berwick sees no contradiction in his belief that health care is a "right" on one hand, and a massive bureaucracy determining who is denied that "right" based on a cost formula, on the other.
Now we are being told that the debate of who gets treatment and gets to live, and who has treatment withheld and dies, based on the decisions of "leaders", is alive and well. The AP article only addresses smokers and those who are overweight, but rest assured, those will only be starting points. The elderly and those deemed defective or unproductive, such as those with Down Syndrome, permanently disabled, or other mental and physical conditions will be at the mercy of a cost-cutting panel. The litmus test will be: "Are they worth the cost"? Sounds far-fetched? Britain's HHS, which Berwick loves, actually puts a dollar amount on how much each year of life is worth (about $44K)! HHS says this is a general rule, and has "sometimes approved treatment" over $70K. This may be so, but it is a council, nee 'death panel', making the determination, not the doctor and his or her patient.
Who wants to wager that some are more equal than others in determining who gets certain expensive treatments and who doesn't?

Video Reminder: How Obama Got Elected
These are the people who, if you held your nose and voted for McCain, cancelled out your votes, in 2008. Even if you don't get the candidate YOU want as the nominee, are these are the type of people who you are placing your trust in to begin to right the American ship? Or will you vote a 3rd Party candidate, which historically will favor the candidate against the party the 3rd party is trying to punish, in effect giving Obama another 4 years to destroy, or fundamentally transform, the country?
In my opinion, if Obama gets another 4 years, it is game over. This country will never resemble the America we have known in the not-so-distant past.

A Nevada man has filed a lawsuit against the state’s Department of Motor Vehicles alleging his rights were violated when he says the state denied his requests for personalized license plates with conservative political themes.
James Linlor, a Douglas County resident, filed the complaint July 15 in U.S. District Court in Nevada. A state official said the plate eventually was issued late last year.
The complaint alleges Linlor requested a personalized license plate of “GOPALIN” in 2009 and 2010, but the DMV denied his applications, stating the request was "vulgar or obscene or expressing superiority of political affiliation."

Ron Reagan Jr. Has Less in Common with His Dad Than Sarah Palin
Ron Reagan, Jr. who blasts Sarah Palin as having nothing in common with Ronald Reagan, may have even less in common with his dad than Mrs. Palin. Politically, Sarah Palin is much closer to Ronald Reagan than Ron Jr., who is unabashedly liberal. He criticizes her for turning her popularity into a source of income and is not a serious candidate. Although Ron Jr., who to my knowledge doesn't use his name for political reasons and has no political ambitions, he has certainly taken advantage of his father's name over the years to enrich himself, so he comes off as more than a little hypocritical.
Ron Reagan: Palin Has Nothing in Common with Dad
Friday, February 04, 2011
By Michael R. Blood, Associated Press
Los Angeles (AP) - Sarah Palin is honoring one Reagan and offending another with the same speech.
The former Alaska governor is scheduled to speak in Santa Barbara, Calif., on Friday at a tribute to former President Ronald Reagan - just one of the celebrations marking the centennial of the 40th president's birth on Feb. 6.
But his son, Ron Reagan, tells The Associated Press he doesn't see anything in common between his dad and the 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate, who was invited to speak by the event's sponsor, the conservative Young America's Foundation.

Why Sarah Palin Drives Them Wild

I wonder how many television hosts and “journalists” tuned in to Sarah Palin’s interview on “Hannity” this week, waiting with bated breath for her to say something they could try to distort. And the more she says “this isn’t about me,” the more they make it about her.
Let’s enter the world of Sarah Palin for a moment.
If she grants interviews to Oprah or Barbara Walters, she’s accused of wanting to be a celebrity. If she denies those interviews, she’s labeled a coward.
If she’s quiet when viciously attacked, she’s accused of hiding. If she speaks up, she’s described as injecting herself into the story.

Communist Party Joins The Giffords Fray - Blames Usual Suspects, Adds Arpaio
Image via WikipediaThe Communist Party USA has thrown its hat into the ring, releasing a statement on their website blaming the shooting of Rep. Giffords on Sarah Palin, the Tea party et.al., but now adding a new name to those who are "responsible" for this tragedy - Maricopa Sheriff Joe Arpaio. Pretty interesting coming from a group that that supports an ideology that is responsible for the murder of millions of people around the globe, and the internment of millions more. - Brian
Communist Party mourns victims in AZ shooting; Decries incitement

Saturday, Jan 8, US Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, Federal Judge John Roll and many others, including a nine-year-old girl were shot during the congresswoman's constituency meeting at a Tucson, Ariz. Safeway grocery store parking lot. As of Sunday morning six have been reported killed, including Judge Roll, and 12 wounded, including Rep. Giffords, who was shot in the head and is expected to survive.
In no uncertain terms, the Communist Party USA strongly and unequivocally condemns this outrageous act of violence. We extend our condolences to the family and friends of the victims. We hope for full recoveries for all the wounded, including Rep. Giffords.
It is reported that law enforcement has in custody a 22-year-old white man, Jared Lee Loughner, as the accused shooter. It is not clear whether the shooter acted alone or with accomplices.
Many are dubbing this a tragedy, which undoubtedly it is. But it doesn't end there.
While we do not yet know the motivation of the crime...READ MORE HERE--->

Fight Back: Confront The Left With Facts

Blame Righty: A condensed history
By Michelle Malkin • January 14, 2011 08:54 AM
On Monday, as the progressive smear machine worked overtime to pin the horrific Tucson massacre on conservatives and to squelch political opposition by targeting Tea Party/limited-government rhetoric, I published “The progressive “climate of hate:” An illustrated primer, 2000-2010.”
Today’s column provides another primer for the amnesia-wracked blamestream media on just how widespread the Blame Righty meme has been over the past two years. Regular readers of this blog are well aware of this expanding litany outlined below. You are also well aware of the cunning ability of the Left to hinder exposure of this sordid history by accusing its chroniclers and whistle-blowers of “playing the victim.” Sarah Palin is the most prominent conservative to encounter this tactic, but she is by no means the first conservative public figure to experience it. Kabuki outrage over her use of the term “blood libel” is an intended distraction from the history outlined below that undergirds her message. The political speech suppressors have honed their craft long and well.
The solution isn’t to “tone it down” and turn the other cheek, but to confront them forcefully with the facts — and to fight back unapologetically against insidious efforts to diminish the law-abiding, constitutionally-protected, peaceful, vigorous political speech and activism of the Right in the name of repressive “civility.”

Rabbi: Sarah Palin Has Every Right To Use The Term "Blood Libel"
Sarah Palin Is Right About 'Blood Libel'
Judaism rejects the idea of collective responsibility for murder.
By SHMULEY BOTEACH
The term "blood libel"—which Sarah Palin invoked this week to describe the suggestions by journalists and politicians that conservative figures like herself are responsible for last weekend's shooting rampage in Tucson, Ariz.—is fraught with perilous meaning in Jewish history.
The term connotes the earliest accusations that Jews killed Jesus and enthusiastically embraced responsibility for his murder, telling Pontius Pilate, "His blood be upon us and our children" (Matthew 27:25). Thus was born the legend of Jewish bloodlust and of Hebrew ritual use of Christian blood for sacramental purposes. The term was later used more specifically to describe accusations against Jews—primarily in Europe—of sacrificing kidnapped Christian children to use their blood in the baking of Passover matzos.
The Benedictine monk Thomas of Monmouth is generally credited with having popularized the blood libel in his "Life of the Martyr William from Norwich," written in 1173 about a young boy who was found stabbed to death. Thomas quoted a servant woman who said she witnessed Jews lacerating the boy's head with thorns, crucifying him, and piercing his side. While William was canonized, the Jews of Norwich fared less well. On Feb. 6, 1190, they were all found slaughtered in their homes, save those who escaped to the local tower and committed mass suicide. READ MORE HERE--->

In an exclusive statement, famed attorney and Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz defended Sarah Palin’s use of the term “blood libel” from multiple detractors. As the Media Matters/MSM/Democrat narrative on the Tucson tragedy unravels, they are getting a lot more desperate in their attacks on Palin. Fortunately, there are still plenty of honest liberals around:

Palin Responds - ABC News Blog: She's Found Way To Become Part Of The Story
Media Smears Sarah Palin Because They Fear Her
Sarah Palin responded to the media-created firestorm in which it has been both insinuated, and flatly stated, that she is "responsible" for the attempted assassination of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords.
Within minutes after the news broke, "Hanoi" Jane Fonda was on Twitter, blaming Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck and the Tea Party.
In the first news conference after the shooting, Sheriff Dupnik of Pima County was pointing fingers at conservative talk radio. The media and the left-wing blogosphere took all of this, and despite NO evidence, began to shape their talking points. For over 3 days Sarah Palin has been smeared and libeled, by a press and politicians that are more interested in how to turn this tragedy into a political gain, than to report the facts of the case. Whatever happened to the "five W's" and an H that respected journalists use? The are, in order: Who? What? Where? When? Why? and How? Instead, the media went from Who? directly to Why?. In their rush to gain ratings they immediately began to find out who to fix blame on. In this case it was Sarah Palin, a figure that the vast majority of the media despise. This was too big of an opportunity to pass up. They could use this tragedy to smear and destroy her politically. Their fear of her, politically, is much stronger than their journalistic ethics. Tell me. If they don't fear her - if they don't find her formidable - why do they even bother to report on her and attack her the way they do? If she was not substantive, they would just ignore her and let her fade away. She terrifies them and their vitriol exposes their fear. That is why they seek to destroy her.
Finally, she releases the video (below) responding to all of this madness, and ABC News posts an article that says Sarah Palin has found a way to become part of the story. They MADE her the story! Apparently she is supposed to lie against the ropes, let the media pummel her, and not fight back. That is not who she is. She is not one to take things lying down, and she certainly wasn't going to this time.

Clyburn: Dumbass Trifecta for the Week
It's too bad that they don't allow you to bet on politicians saying dumb things. You could have hit the trifecta with James Clyburn this week. First he insinuates that Congress reading the Constitution might have provoked the shooting spree in Tuscon, and as a knee-jerk reaction, moves to revive the "Fairness Doctrine, an assault on free speech. Then he complains about having to go through airport security and "being treated like everybody else." Now he attacks Sarah Palin for not having the intellectual capacity to understand "what's going on here", in regards to the shooting in Tuscon. Sarah Palin gets it just fine, Congressman. She gets that she was "targeted" by the media and those on the left as somehow being responsible for the actions of a raving lunatic. She has been libeled by a press that took a tragedy and tried to place the blame on her and anything or anyone else but the shooter. It is Clyburn and many of those on the left who's intellectual capacity to grasp things that should be in question. Based on his statements just from this week, it is becoming crystal clear to me why Pelosi and Steny Hoyer didn't let this guy speak to the media very much in the last Congress, even though he was the third ranked Democrat in the House. He opens his mouth and stupid falls out.
Clyburn: Palin intellectually unable 'to understand what's going on here'
By Michael O'Brien - 01/12/11 08:37 AM ET
A House Democratic leader on Wednesday lashed out at Sarah Palin, accusing the former Alaska governor of being intellectually incapable of understanding why she's faced criticism related to the shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.).
Assistant Democratic Leader James Clyburn (S.C.) said Palin had missed the point by releasing a statement Wednesday morning blasting the media for "blood libel" for looking to assign blame in part to her rhetoric after the attempted assassination of Giffords last weekend.
"You know, Sarah Palin just can't seem to get it, on any front. I think she's an attractive person, she is articulate," Clyburn said on the Bill Press radio show. "But I think intellectually, she seems not to be able to understand what's going on here."

Democrats Using Tuscon Tragedy to Push For Gun Control Laws, Fairness Doctrine , and Ban Certain Symbols
The rhetoric from the left continues to boil over in the wake of the shooting of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords. As Rahm Emmanuel once said: "You never want a serious crisis to go to waste. And what I mean by that is an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.” Some in the Democrat Party are taking that advice and running with it. While the media are beating the drum 24/7 about the "violent rhetoric" coming from the right, they blissfully ignore that Jared Loughner is a complete nut. They do report the facts about Loughner - his rambling internet posts, his occult alter, his obsession with Congresswoman Giffords, etc. - but then ignore all of that and go right back to the narrative of violent rhetoric, talk radio, the Tea Party, Sarah Palin, et.al.
The Huffington Post is stretching the limits of ridiculousness by running an article linking this to the immigration debate. In an article titled "Heroic Giffords Intern Could Be Asked For Papers Under Arizona Immigration Law" by Elise Foley, Ms. Foley makes the asinine assertion that the man who subdued Jared Loughner, Daniel Hernandez, because he Hispanic, "could be asked for papers at a police officer's discretion" under SB1070, even though the bill expressly prohibits profiling based on ethnicity. The fact that he hasn't been asked for "his papers" apparently is lost on the this dimwit.
Front and center in all of this is the Sheriff of Pima County, Clarence Dupnik, who got all of this started with his initial press conference, in which he insinuated that it was talk radio and political rhetoric that was responsible for this. He made all of these assertions without a shred of evidence, which is disturbing,to say the least, when it's coming from someone who is supposed to be looking at the facts of a case, and not making wild suppositions. If I am the defense attorney for Jared Loughner, I am thanking my lucky stars for Sheriff Dupnik, as he is laying my defense groundwork for me. The Sheriff's behavior in this case has been nothing short of disgraceful, as it is apparent that he has a political ax to grind, and is using this tragedy to milk it for all it is worth.
Meanwhile, in all this cacophony, there are politicians in Washington who are using this circus to push for new legislation.
- Frank Lautenburgh (D- DE) and Carolyn McCarthy are both introducing gun legislation. Lautenburgh's bill would re-enact the 1994 assault weapons ban, while both his and McCarthy's bill would limit the capacity of clips used to less than 10 rounds.
- Rep. Robert Brady (D-Pa.) is introducing legislation that would make it "a federal crime to use language or symbols that could be viewed as threatening or inciting violence against members of Congress and other federal officials." He said, "You can't just put bull's-eyes or cross hairs on a United States congressman or a federal official", and apparent reference to Sarah Palin's electoral map in which surveyors symbols were mistaken for rifle sights. Lost in all of this was the Democrat Leadership Council map which have actual bullseye targets on different locations.
-Rep. James Clyburn (D- SC) is trying to revive the "Fairness Doctrine" which is a clear effort to muzzle free speech on the airwaves. This would be an attempt to silence Limbaugh , Hannitty, Levin, Beck, and conservative talk radio. Clyburn said the shooting is cause for the country to rethink parameters on free speech. Tell me Congressman, just who should determine what the parameters on free speech should be?
Though the shooting of Congresswoman Gifford and all the others is a tragedy of the greatest magnitude, we cannot allow politicians to use this as an excuse to whittle away our rights and freedoms. Under normal circumstances we need to be alert to what politicians do and how they are affecting us. In times of tragedy it is even more important to pay attention as they use the tragedy like a magician uses sleight of hand to focus your attention on one thing, while the real trick is being done with the other hand. In this time of national mourning for the victims of this terrible and senseless act by a deranged individual, try to keep your eye on the other hand.

When Tragedy Strikes, Media Ratchets Up The Rhetoric
Posted by Brian
The Mainstream Media, in their zeal for ratings, or whatever it is that motivates them, is becoming a sick, twisted entity. They are more concerned with pushing an agenda than actually taking the time, and putting in the footwork, to get the facts on a story. Their reporting of half-truths, innuendo, and complete fabrications are embarrassing. The reporting in this tragedy is reminiscent of the shoddy reporting during Hurricane Katrina, where we heard of rapes and murders in the New Orleans Superdome, which later turned out to be not true. The tragedy in that case is that it prevented much needed supplies, such as food and water, from getting to the people inside the stadium, because relief workers were afraid to go inside. Now we are getting fingers pointed at everybody from Sarah Palin, to talk radio, to the Tea Party as being responsible for this senseless act. The actual shooter is mentioned, but only as a post-script to the media template that Conservatism is to blame. "Yeah, he is sick, but it was Glenn Beck who pushed him over the edge." The once- great U. S. Press Corps is now just sad and pathetic.

Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was still in the operating room when the professional Left began to leverage her shooting for political purposes. Markos Moulitsas of the Daily Kos blamed Sarah Palin. MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann wagged a finger at a long list of high-profile conservatives, ranging from newly-elected Florida Congressman Allen West to Glenn Beck. Giffords’s own father suggested “the whole Tea Party” might be suspects in the shootings.
It’s easy to understand a father’s overwrought reaction. It’s harder to forgive demagogues like Clarence Dupnik, the sheriff of Pima County, Ariz., and an elected Democrat, who at a weekend press conference declared anyone with libertarian tendencies complicit in the shootings: “When you look at unbalanced people, how they respond to the vitriol that comes out of certain mouths about tearing down the government — the anger, the hatred, the bigotry that goes on in this country is getting to be outrageous.”
Have you complained about the stimulus package? You might as well have pulled the trigger yourself.

Limbaugh Was Right. McNabb Sucks

Rush Limbaugh's Prescience, Donovan McNabb's Mediocrity, and Sarah Palin's Future
By Stuart Schwartz
h/t to the American Thinker
Rush was right. He said on cable back in 2003 that NFL quarterback Donovan McNabb was a largely mediocre player whom the elite sports media had tried to elevate to legendary status because he's black -- the football prelude to Barack Obama, so to speak. And for that bit of factually accurate but politically incorrect commentary, Rush was forced to resign from his gig as a commentator for ESPN and later denied the chance to buy an NFL franchise.
So what does this have to do with Sarah Palin? Everything -- for in Rush's prescience, McNabb's mediocrity, and the media's viciousness, we have a glimpse of the future for Sarah Palin.

Republicans: "Go Rove" or "Go Rogue,"
This is not an endorsement of Sarah Palin. I simply believe that the author has it right on this one. The Republicans need to be more about presenting candidates wh are solid conservatives, and who can articulate that conservative message, and quit worrying about if a candidate is too far right in a "blue" state. Instead of trying to run these mealy-mouthed "moderate" RINO's who tell the voters what they think they want to hear, how about running solid conservative candidates who are more smash-mouth, telling it like it is, and change minds with solid, common-sense conservative principles. It is defeatest for the Rove's in politics to concede that a state is blue from now until eternity. It is not just about winning seats, especially when those seats are going to be occupied by people who do not reflect the platform of constitutional conservatism. They only help to perpetuate the idea that there are no differences in the two Parties.

Going Rove: A Cynical Life
By Nicole Coulter
“A ship in harbor is safe … but that’s not what ships are built for.”
– Sarah Palin at Dayton, Ohio-announcement speech 8/29/2008
(Originallly penned by John A. Shedd in Salt from My Attic, 1928)
Far too many in the GOP these days seem content to play the game of politics not to lose. They’re looking for the least-offensive, most politically correct candidate to nominate against the latest liberal rock star.
The key for the Play-It-Safers is to not offend liberals ... they couldn't care less about offending large swaths of their own party.
Fortunately, a growing number of conservative Republicans are looking for something different. We've tried the safe and inoffensive way, now it's our turn. We want a candidate who will go balls-to-the wall, pedal-to-the medal for victory. Someone who will call out the media – instead of meekly tolerating their reeking piles of horse crap. Someone who won’t call political opponents, “my friends." And someone who doesn’t shrink away from “controversial” social issues, i.e. the pro-life position supported by a majority of Americans.
