The question is: Why? In this writers' humble opinion, it is that Obama is keeping his promise (maybe the only promise he has kept) that he is going to "fundamentally" transform the country. He doesn't view the United States in the same light that most Americans do. Obama sees the country as fundamentally flawed. He sees the U.S. Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, not as great documents representing a unique set of ideals which has allowed the United States to become, in 200 years, the greatest, most successful country in history, but a seriously flawed one, which is racist and which dictates what government can't do. He sees us as inherently racist and oppressive. He is right about one thing - he is "focused like a laser beam" on the economy. But not in the way that most people envision. He is focused on destroying the currency and bringing the country to its economic knees. He is well on his way in this endeavor.
If the GOP and some of the traditional "Blue Dog" Democrats don't put the brakes on this President, most of us won't recognize this country.
The 2012 elections are coming up quick. The current GOP leadership is feckless and weak. Boehner and Cantor in the House, and Mitch McConnell in the Senate are complete frauds, continuing to allow Pelosi and Reid to set the economic agenda. Some of the new GOP freshmen, who ran as "Tea Party" conservatives are also proving to be frauds, and are nothing more than Washington status quo yes-men to the leadership, covering their political backsides. In other words: cowards with no principles.
Yes, 2012 is coming, and we need to sweep out more of the liberal Democrats. But, we also need to take note of those Republicans who are selling out their principles for improving their position within the Party, and throwing their constituents under the bus in the name of political power. If not, and if Obama is reelected, the country may never recover.
2012 is going to be very interesting, indeed.

Watch the Obama nominee for Deputy Budget Director try to defend the WH numbers.
WASHINGTON — A new assessment of President Barack Obama's budget released Friday says the White House underestimates future budget deficits by more than $2 trillion over the upcoming decade.
The estimate from the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office says that if Obama's February budget submission is enacted into law it would produce deficits totaling $9.5 trillion over 10 years — an average of almost $1 trillion a year.
Obama's budget saw deficits totaling $7.2 trillion over the same period.
The difference is chiefly because CBO has a less optimistic estimate of how much the government will collect in tax revenues, partly because the administration has rosier economic projections.
But the agency also rejects the administration's claims of more than $300 billion of that savings — to pay for preventing a cut in Medicare payments to doctors — because it doesn't specify where it would come from. Likewise, CBO fails to credit the White House with an additional $328 billion that would come from unspecified "bipartisan financing" to pay for transportation infrastructure projects such as high speed rail lines and road and bridge construction.
