Don We Now Our Gay Apparel - Does ObamaCare's LGBT Christmas Ad "Jump The Shark"?
At the same time that Phil Robertson of Duck Dynasty is being chastised by our cultural elitists for opinion that most American's have, the Obama Administration is putting out a new ObamCare Ad which targets the LGBT crowd. Scantily clad men suggestively sucking on candy canes, prancing around, and playing into the sterotype of what all gay men are supposedly supposed to act like, the ad appears to also be a poke in the eye of traditional Christian and Christmas values.
Is the Obama Administration this tone deaf, or are they purposely trying to push the buttons of small town America? What are your thoughts?

A&E Fires 'Duck Dynasty's' Phil Robertson Over Christophobian GLAAD Complaint

You had to see this one coming. The left has been waiting to jump on Phil Robertson ever since he let God and all creation know, in no uncertain terms, that he was a devout Christian, bathed in the blood of Christ, and not ashamed to let you know it. I mean, you know it just burn the leftists up that the Robertson family has the gall to throw their Christianity in our face every week when they say grace before the meal at the end of each show. Sometimes Phil even says "in Jesus' name" before saying "Amen"! It's almost like throwing Holy Water on a demon.
The patriarch of Duck Dynasty'. Phil Robertson was put on "indefinite hiatus" after GLAAD and its spokesman Wilson Cruz objected to comments Robertson made to GQ Magazine regarding homosexuality.
Calling it "the vilest and most extreme statements uttered against LGBT people in a mainstream publication", GLAAD spokesperson Wilson Cruz attacked Robertson's Christian faith, saying "Phil and his family claim to be Christian, but Phil's lies about an entire community fly in the face of what true Christians believe. "He clearly knows nothing about gay people or the majority of Louisianans -- and Americans -- who support legal recognition for loving and committed gay and lesbian couples. Phil's decision to push vile and extreme stereotypes is a stain on A&E and his sponsors who now need to re-examine their ties to someone with such public disdain for LGBT people and families."
So what were the "vile and extreme statements" that Phil Robertson uttered that has the LGBT crowd ready to take to the streets with torches and pitchforks?
On being asked about homosexuality, Phil Robertson opined:
“It seems like, to me, a vagina — as a man — would be more desirable than a man’s anus. That’s just me. I’m just thinking: There’s more there! She’s got more to offer. I mean, come on, dudes! You know what I’m saying? But hey, sin: It’s not logical, my man. It’s just not logical.”
Asked about repentance and what he himself finds sinful, Robertson offered this:
"Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there," he says. "Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men." Paraphrasing 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, Roberson continues, “Don’t be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers—they won’t inherit the kingdom of God. Don’t deceive yourself. It’s not right.”
So where are the vile and extreme statements. Did he call for violence against gays, or that gays should be oppressed, or rounded up and put in camps? No. Phil Robertson gave his opinion based on what he believes. You can agree or disagree. That's all. What it does sound like is the fake outrage from a bunch of leftist Christophobes.
That's right, you read right. Christophobe. We constantly hear of homophobes, islamophobes, this phobe or that phobe, but attacks on the Judeo-Christian heritage in this country are met with silence. When any conservative, especially a conservative Christian, doesn't agree with the politically correct views of the left, the offender is attacked with La Cage au Faux outrage by GLAAD, or whatever leftist group is pissed off this week. Meanwhile, Alec Baldwin throws the word "faggot" around at photographers and reporters on a regular basis, and GLAAD can barely muster up an arched eyebrow, or an "Oh, that Alec!"
Also, Wilson Cruz is apparently an ordained minister and expert on biblical theology, saying that the Robertson's "claim to be Christian" but lie about gays. He doesn't say what those lies are, but because he's gay and I'm not, I probably couldn't understand anyway. It's a gay thing, I guess.
What Phil Robertson did do was give his opinion on homosexual sex. It's his opinion. We are still allowed to have those, are we not? He also paraphrased a portion of the Bible which condemns sin and sexual immorality, including but not limited to homosexuality. The offending portion that he paraphrased for you sinners out there was this:
Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. (NIV, 1st Corinthians 6:9-11)
Cruz says that most Americans support the LGBT agenda. I don't know if they do or they don't. I don't really care, and that is not what Phil Robertson was asked. They asked for his views. Not America's views.
This is the problem with all of these leftist groups. They don't want you to have your own views. Your views must reflect the collective view, and when someone like Phil Robertson gives his view, he must be crushed and made an example of. Their goal is to remove individual thought. Like the book 1984, the goal is to shrink the language:
“Don't you see that the whole aim of Newspeak is to narrow the range of thought? In the end we shall make thought-crime literally impossible, because there will be no words in which to express it. That is why it is dangerous when you have these vacuous Hollywood actors and actresses, or some advocacy group, start calling for the elimination of this word or that word from books and dictionaries, or the public square. Just this week actress Jennifer Lawrence of the 'Hunger Games' franchise, called for "regulating" words like "fat".
By the way, why do they call themselves GLAAD when they seem to be pissed off all the time!

Start Of Chick-Fil-A "Kiss-In" Day Begins With Vandalism

The oh-so-tolerant left constantly preaches that we must be more accepting of whatever their leftist cause celebre of the week is. Disagree with the US accepting sharia law? You're an Islamophobe. Leftist members of the Catholic Church who don't agree with some of its tenets? The Church should change their teachings. Do you disagree with the idea of man-made Global warming? You're a flat-earth global warming denier.
The truth is that tolerance among the left is in short supply. That is, if it is a cause that they support. In the mind of a leftist, there is no room for dissension or diversity of thought. It is George Orwell's "Ingsoc", where independent thought is criminalized, and Newspeak narrows the vocabulary in which to verbalize those thoughts. Don't believe it? NYC schools submitted a list of 50 words to eliminate from tests because it might make some kids uncomfortable. George Carlin and Richard Pryor must be rolling over in their respective graves! These are men who pushed the boundaries using words that today would get them labeled bigots, or worse. One thing is for certain: a SNL skit by Pryor and Chevy Chase would never make it on the air today, as it contained the word "nigger", which is never to be uttered today, even in an historical context such as "Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn", which some have tried to have banned from schools due to that word being in the book.
On Wednesday, tens of thousands of Americans exercised the 1st Amendment right to defend the right of another American, Chick-Fil-A CEO Dan Cathy, to speak freely of his opinion that marriage is the union of one man and one woman. Agree or disagree, this is his opinion. We don't have to like it, but it's his. For expressing his opinion, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel , and the mayors several other cities said that Chick-Fil-A was not welcome in their cities, with a Chicago Alderman threatening to get a Chick-Fil-A business permit disapproved in his district. This is not only unAmerican, but it is facist! Americans recognized this and flocked to Chick-Fil-A in support. Not for what he said, but for the attempts of government officials to punish and silence him for having an opinion they disagree with.
So today is a counter-protest, with LGBT groups purportedly going to go to Chick-Fil-A's around the country and have a "kiss-in", to protest Mr. Cathy's opinion. I fully support their right to do so. But, what exactly are they protesting? Note that Chick-Fil-A does not discriminate in hiring people who are gay, or for religious reasons. Nor do they refuse to serve people who are gay. They are protesting his "opinion", and that he had the unmitigated gall to actually give it!
Yet morons like Roseanne Barr are on Twitter (below) claiming that Mr. Cathy's opinion creates a hostile work environment for Chick-Fil-A employees who are gay! Tell me Roseanne, would that mean that openly gay CEO's who actively promote pro-LGBT causes are creating hostile work environments for their employees who are Christians?
Apparently for others, even the "kiss-in" wasn't enough, as employees at an LA Chick-Fil-A went to work to find that their business had been vandalized with graffiti. As has become common among the left and the Occupy mobs recently, criminal acts seem to accompany leftist protests and gatherings. Their ginned up and sanctimonious anger seems to make them incapable of conducting themselves civilly, or lawfully. Violence and/or vile acts just seem to naturally follow these malcontents. In fact, they celebrate those who are arrested, or who they view as "sticking it to the man".
They may find out in November that who's taking back the power won't be them.

On a day that some gay-rights activists are planning a "National Same-Sex Kiss Day," a Chick-fil-A in Torrance was vandalized overnight with hateful graffiti.
Chick-fil-A employees were greeted Fridays morning with the words "Tastes like hate" scrawled in large black lettering mimicking the chain's advertising across the back wall of the restaurant at 182nd Street and Hawthorne Boulevard in Torrance.
With media helicopters hovering overhead and police officers on the scene, one employee said, "I'm just trying to sort everything out."
