St. Louis Cardinal Fan Upset At Cross on Pitchers Mound - "Muslims (might) use that mound".

Posted by Brian

To the so-called Cardinal fan who is insulted by the sign of a cross on the pitchers mound in St. Louis:

GET OVER IT!

Your country is crumbling around you.  Your rights are being taken away from you at a breakneck pace. Politicians, the media, and your fellow countrymen are waging a war on the the Constitution and the Judeo-Christian moorings on which it was founded, all while bending over and grabbing their ankles at every perceived slight from Islamists who push for sharia law in YOUR country!

And you have your panties in a wad over THIS.  Stand up and grow a pair!

Oh, by the way! Going into today, the Cardinal's are tied for the best record in baseball.  Not that I think the cross has anything to do with it, but knowing the superstitious nature of pro ballplayers, if it works for them, who am I to say it doesn't give them the little something extra to fall back on late in the ballgame, or the season.

WHY IS THERE A ‘CHRISTIAN’ CROSS AND THE NO. 6 DRAWN INTO THE CARDINALS PITCHER’S MOUND AT BUSCH STADIUM?
Jun. 26, 2013 10:30pm Jason Howerton

At least one St. Louis Cardinals fan is upset that the team would allow religious symbols to be drawn into the pitcher’s mound at Busch Stadium.  Before home games, a groundskeeper has regularly drawn a “Christian” cross and what some claim is  the No. 6 for the late Cardinals great Stan Musial on the mound behind the rubber (though it looks like the Christian “fish” symbol), the Yahoo! Sports blog “Big League Stew” reports.

The symbols have reportedly been drawn when various pitchers have taken the mound. Some Cardinals players are outspoken about their faith and even Cardinals manager Mike Matheny proudly proclaims “Jesus Christ is at the center of my life.”

"Religious Fanatic": Romney Mocked on CNN for Quoting Psalms in Commencement Speech

Posted by Brian

"Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.  As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.  Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: "Ps.127:3-5a

The tolerance of those on the left is striking, unless you are a Christian or Jew. Then you are a fanatic.
It amazes me, the pretzels that the left will turn themselves into in order to make completely contradictory arguments.  On one hand, they speak of protecting women, children, homosexuals, and people of all faiths and race.  On the other, they openly embrace Islam, which advocates misogyny, child abuse and rape, beheading or hanging homosexuals, and enslaving, torturing and executing those who do not convert to their faith.

Piers Morgan and his panel would be outraged at any criticism of the "religion of peace", by are more than giddy, attacking Romney for quoting Psalms at a university which is 90 percent Mormon or Christian, during a commencement speech.
My question for Piers Morgan, who has now shown himself to be anti-2nd Amendment and anti-1st Amendment: When are you going to make good on your promise and deport yourself back to jolly olde England?

Christian Group "Stoned" at Arab Festival Taunted Attendees with Pigs Head

This video has been going viral over the last few days.  It shows Arab youths pelting a group of Christian evangelists, whose sole offense appears to be that they are carrying signs with Christian messages and Scripture quotes..

Taken in that context, the pelting that these people take is enraging.  Even more so is the seeming lack of concern from the Dearborn police.

But there is something that this video, and much of the reporting on it, does not mention as the most likely culprit in the anger of this crowd.  What has not been mentioned, or shown, is that one of the members of this group showed up with a pigs head on the end of a stick  (there are glimpses of it at about the 4:34, 4:55, 8:54, 10:46, 11:00, 18:51 mark of the video), which I can only conclude was meant to taunt, or enflame the Muslims.

Look. I don't get the outright overreaction of Islamist Muslims to symbolism. The anger. The violence. As a Christian, I don't fly into a rage over every insult to my faith.  But, I also don't purposely go out and try to insult the religion, or beliefs of others, either.  I can reasonably assume that the person knew that this would be the reaction of some of the Muslims in this crowd, and once the yelling and violence began, started rolling tape.

I don't agree with the violence by the Muslims in the crowd, but I fail to see how a hogs head on a stick, at a Muslim festival, is "Christian outreach".  In my opinion, this group wanted to cause a scene, get it on video, and post it to YouTube for publicity.

It is quite possible that the crowd would have reacted to this group in exactly the same way even without the hogs head on a stick.  But, by having it, their credibility of purpose is now questionable, and groups out there like CAIR and others are going to point this out as proof of widespread Islamophobia.

"Christian" groups like this, and people like Terry Jones, cause more harm than good in the battle to point out the true dangers of Islamists and Sharia in America.

Great Britain: No Crosses Allowed, Hijabs & Turbans OK

Posted by Brian
Presumably this also means that Jewish people not be allowed to wear a visibleStar of David either...unless of course the government decides to issue yellow cloth patches with the offending symbols to be sewn onto the left breast of clothing.

British Government: Christians Have No Right to Wear Visible Cross or Crucifix
By Patrick Goodenough March 12, 2012

(CNSNews.com) – Britain’s Conservative-led government plans to argue in a European Court of Human Rights case that employers are entitled to ban the visible wearing of crosses at work because displaying the symbol is not a recognized “requirement” of the Christian faith.
A document leaked to Britain’sSunday Telegraph outlines the argument the government plans to present at the tribunal in Strasbourg, France, where two Christian women will claim that their rights were violated when employers barred them from wearing crosses at work.

Democracy Uprising My Ass!

Posted by Brian
Events that have transpired over the last few months in the Middle East, from Tunisia to Egypt, Yemen to Libya, and now Syria, have been described as "spontaneous" democracy movements by media, the U.N, and leftists all over the world.
The Egyptian riots were so spontaneous that there were leftist groups from the United States in Tahrir Square in Cairo on day one of the riots.  We are expected to believe that the far-left Code Pink just happened to show up in the square on day ONE(!) on a lark.  What luck!  What other groups may have been there is anybody's guess.  The media were so caught up in their own euphoria of a "peoples" uprising that they became cheerleaders rather than finding out who was organizing all of the groups.
Eventually they got around to saying that the Muslim Brotherhood was involved in the overthrow of Mubarak, but it was reported that they were just a tiny fraction of the groups involved and had no real power. Now we find that the Muslim Brotherhood has a very prominent place at the table of the new government and are looking to gain at least 50% of the parlimentary seats the upcoming elections. So much for a minor role.
Even in Libya, the reports of Brotherhood and possibly al Qaeda influences have been downplayed by a media stuck on naive and stupid.  I'm no fan of Khadaffi or Mubarak, but a Middle East with countries across Northern Africa falling like dominoes, and which all may end up under the influence of the Muslim Brotherhood, is not neccesarily preferable to the previous regimes.
The Muslim Brotherhood has as their goals the destruction of Israel, and a worldwide Muslim caliphate. Is it really that much of a leap to think that all of these countries, would just happen to, if they all fall, end up under the political thumb of the Muslin Brotherhood and would virtually surround Israel. Think of it: Tunisia, Egypt Yemen, Libya, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Syria, all in short order, have spontaneous uprisings.  But there's no coordination by other groups.  Hell, the media says there's not, so it must be true!
So how is the democracy movement going in Egypt?  Well, since the the influence of the Brotherhood has increased, so has violence against the Coptic Christian population in the country. In general, attacks on Christian churches have been increasing in the Middle East from Cairo to Baghdad.
The Muslim Brotherhood, along with Hamas and Hezbollah is gaining strength in the this region, while the U.S. and Europe are exhibiting weakness in the handling of the entire situation, these groups taking complete advantage of of every perceived weakness.
The average person in some of these countries may in fact be wishing for democratic change,  but these islamist groups are going to discard these naive idealists as soon as the usefullness is exhausted, as is happening in Egypt, where some of the protestors were left-wing Christians who are the very persons now being burned out of their churches by the islamists they aligned themselves with, against Mubarak.
There is a saying that my enemy's enemy is my friend.  The danger is when your enemy's enemy is no longer there.

Muslims Attack Christians in Egypt, at least 12 Killed, 232 Injured; churches set ablaze

The "Arab Spring" continues to look a lot like winter
JewishWorldReview.com

CAIRO— (TCSM) An attack by Muslims on two churches in Cairo led to sectarian clashes that claimed at least 12 lives, a reminder that Egypt's religious rift has continued to widen since the successful uprising that pushed Hosni Mubarak from power.

The violence in the Cairo neighborhood of Imbaba, declared in the 1990's to be "liberated" from the Egyptian state by Islamist militants, also highlights the growing role the salafis, a small and strident Muslim sect, are playing in exacerbating sectarian tensions. The salafy strain of Islam, which feeds most militant Sunni movements, was publicly repressed under Mubarak and has been taking advantage of the more open environment since his downfall.

Fed To Bank: "Remove crosses, Bible verses, and Christmas buttons from display"

Feds Force Okla. Bank To Remove Crosses, Bible Verse

Federal Examiners Say Religious Decoration Inappropriate

PERKINS, Okla. -- A small-town bank in Oklahoma said the Federal Reserve won’t let it keep religious signs and symbols on display.

Federal Reserve examiners come every four years to make sure banks are complying with a long list of regulations. The examiners came to Perkins last week. And the team from Kansas City deemed a Bible verse of the day, crosses on the teller’s counter and buttons that say "Merry Christmas, God With Us." were inappropriate. The Bible verse of the day on the bank's Internet site also had to be taken down.

Evangelical support for Israel at all-time high

Evangelical support for Israel at all-time high

Benjamin Netanyahu greets Pator John Hagee
JERUSALEM (RNS) -- When Texas megachurch pastor John Hagee wrapped up a visit to Israel on Nov. 15 with 40 pastors in tow, he sought out the places where Jesus walked, preached and prayed some 2,000 years ago.

But there was another meeting on the itinerary that was a must-not-miss event for Hagee and his host: a sit-down with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The fact that Netanyahu -- knee-deep in contentious talks with Palestinians over a freeze on Israeli settlement construction -- found time to meet Hagee’s contingent speaks volumes about the ties between Israeli officials and evangelical Christians.

Christian Zionist support for Israel is at an all-time high, observers say, and Israelis, American Jews, and Palestinians are all taking notice -- some favorable, some not.

While Israel has long courted financial and political support from evangelicals, many Jewish American leaders have viewed the alliance with suspicion, leery about potential proselytizing and uncomfortable with evangelicals’ domestic agenda at home.

Recently, though, the American Jewish community has found a new appreciation for evangelical support at a time of mounting international criticism of Israeli policy and financial hardships for many prominent Jewish groups.

Hit hard by the economic downturn and the Bernard Madoff Ponzi scheme that decimated Jewish charities, American Jewish groups are sending less money to Israel. Dozens of evangelical groups “have definitely stepped in to fill some of the void,” said Dan Brown, creator of the website e-jewishphilanthropy.com.

One of those groups is the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews (IFCJ), a Chicago-based evangelical group that has donated as much as $70 million to Israel in 2009 alone, and another $30 million to Jewish causes in the former Soviet Union and elsewhere.

Five years ago, Hadassah magazine, a mainstream Jewish women’s magazine, rejected an ad from Eckstein’s group. But this year, after a large donation to a Hadassah-affiliated hospital in Jerusalem, Hadassah honored Eckstein's group at its annual gala.

“We still haven’t been embraced by the establishment Jewish organizations, but I do think there’s a growing admiration because we’ve been able to grow by leaps and bounds over the past three years while the Jewish federation system and other sources of Jewish philanthropy have suffered declines,” said founder Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein.
