Networks Ignore House GOP's Criminal Referral for Lois Lerner

In a major new development in the IRS scandal, House Republicans voted on Wednesday to send a criminal referral to the Department of Justice for former IRS chief Lois Lerner. None of the networks covered the vote, however.
The letter sent to Attorney General Eric Holder stated that "findings" from the Ways and Means Committee "suggest that Lerner may have violated multiple criminal statutes." The letter went on to add that "the Committee asks that you pursue this evidence." The Boston bombing will not be a death penalty offense under new bill introduced by Democrats
Democrats in the House of Representitives, led by Maryland Rep Donna Edwards, are pushing to effectively remove the death penalty for any offense under Federal Law. These include, but are not limited to treason, espionage, kidnapping and assassination of the President, Vice President, or member of Congress, murder via torture, mass murder using WMD's (including chemical and biological), child abuse, war crimes, or kidnappings.
The bill, H.R. 3741, is a wet dream for those who want to assassinate government officials, kill large numbers of people with dirty bombs, or to permanently silence witnesses. Thats right! Under this ridiculous, and dangerous bill, killing the star witness against you would now be just another run of the mill crime.

So who is this Donna Edwards? She is a hard left Democrat who is in a safe gerrymandered district (No Republican has gotten more than 25% of the vote since the district was redrawn in 1990). She is a former community activist/organizer (imagine that!). She has a perfect 100% score from both NARAL and Planned Parenthood. She boasts a 0% score from the Club for Growth. She scores an "F" or 0% on 2nd Amendment issues, and Vietnam Veterans Assoc., and Iraq/Afghanistan Veterans advocacy groups score her at 0%. (Full list of Positions)
Leftists, starting with the President, are full speed ahead in the their quest for power. They see this as their moment to crush conservatism in this country for generations, and to do as Obama promised in 2008 - to fundamentally dismantle and transform the United States of America into the Marxist/socialist utopia they think it should be.
The GOP leadership in the House and Senate under Boehner, McConnell and the rest have already conceded defeat.
It is now up to grassroots conservatives and libertarians to come together and stand up against what is going to be a fight against both the leftists and marxists on the democrat side, and the neo-statists in the GOP.

President Barack Obama made waves last Friday when — amid a fierce fiscal cliff debate — he signed an executive order ending the pay freeze on certain federal workers. Beneficiaries to see a pay boost included Vice President Joe Biden and members of Congress.
Though the raises were relatively modest (at least for a government that runs trillion-dollar deficits)– about $900/year for members of Congress and $6,000/year for Biden– the Weekly Standard writes that the executive order would cost the taxpayer roughly $11 billion over the next ten years.

More total crap from the Democrats, using the "Violence Against Women Act" as a political wedge in an election year. Obama and the Dems are in trouble with women voters and the leftists are pulling out all the stops in the mythical "War on Women".

A lot has been made of the back and forth between Rep. Don Young (R-Alaska), and historian and Rice University Professor Douglas Brinkley regarding drilling in the Alaska National Wildlife refuge. The news reports and the progressive blogs have of course accused Rep. Young of "bullying" Dr. Brinkley.
What Rep. Young was doing was pointing out how Dr. Brinkley, and others like him, have characterized ANWR - as this pristine wilderness with majestic mountains, flowing streams, and wildlife that has been untouched by the evils of humans, and their technology. In fact, the area that has been set aside for drilling is a mere 3,000 acres out of 119 million acres. Certainly there are large portions of ANWR that have the breathtaking views that environmentalists describe, but these areas are not even visible from the area being discussed.
Many of the arguments being made today are very similar to the arguments made against the building of the Alaska oil pipeline. We were told that Caribou herds would have their migration routes blocked, causing the deaths of thousands, maybe even millions of these beautiful animals. However, once the pipeline was built it was discovered that the Caribou actually seemed to like the pipeline, especially the warm crude that flowed through it. Caribou could be seen congregating, and even mating around the pipeline. Apparently, they like a heated environment in cold weather just as much as we do.
So who is Douglas Brinkley. For certain, he is a well-respected and knowledgable man. But he is also way to the left on environmental matters. He has been the recipient of the 2009 National Outdoor Book Award and 2009 Green Prize for Sustainable Literature. He buys into the now disproven scam about the dangers of DDT promoted by Rachel Carson's book "Silent Spring", which has led to literally millions of unneeded deaths from malaria. In fact he has an upcoming book, Silent Spring Revolution: John F. Kennedy, Rachel Carson, Stewart Udall and the Environmental Movement 1961-1964 set to be released in the near future. He is a darling of the left, being embraced by "Think Progress" and "The Center For American Progress", both far-left/Marxist leaning groups.
Representative Young took Dr. Brinkley to task for testimony that he classified, in his opinion, as "garbage". He incorrectly addressed Mr. Brinkley as Dr. Rice (he is tenured at Rice University), at which point Mr. Brinkley not only tried to correct the Congressman, but went further, arrogantly saying to the Congressman, "“[It's] Dr. Brinkley. Rice is a university. I know you went to Yuba College and you couldn’t graduate.”
It went downhill from there.
Rep. Joe Walsh (R-IL) has an extremely passionate discussion with constituents. I would love to see more of this type of engaging meeting with constituents. There is passionate back-and-forth, as opposed to a Nancy Pelosi blowing smoke up everyone's rear, or a Fortney "Pete" Stark(D-CA) belittling his constituents. I want to know exactly where my Representatives stand on issues. The people of Illinois should be thrilled to have somebody like Walsh representing them. I want someone with that type of passion. Of course the liberal sites/blogs are calling it a meltdown, but notice that the people he is talking with don't look intimidated, but appear more amused, indicating that these meetings are between not only his constituents, but his friends, as he addresses some of them by their first names.
House subpoenas White House for Solyndra documents
GOP sees stonewalling across administration
Showing a growing frustration with the the Obama administration, congressional Republicans on Thursday authorized their second subpoena this week, demanding White House documents related to failed solar technology company Solyndra.
By a 14-9 party-line vote the Energy and Commerce Committee’s investigative subcommittee authorized issuing a subpoena for any White House documents related to Solyndra, which received renewable energy loan guarantees under President Obama’s stimulus program. The request for documents could include details of the president’s own travel and communications.
