Discussion of Chuck Schumer's attacks on the TEA Party at a Soros-backed "Center For American Progress" speech.
If you are going to come in with your Democrat/progressive talking points, you might want to find out the guests you are facing off with, because if they are former Congressman Allen West (Col. USA, Ret) and former Navy SEAL Benjamin Smith, you might want to call out sick. Former "Schmucky" Schumer aide Chris Hahn found out that those talking points against well-read, informed opponents are shredded in milliseconds, while you are left with nothing with childish laughter, followed by sheepish grins.
Enjoy.
Former Congressman, Colonel Allen West fires up CPAC 2013 with his usual brand of no-nonsense, common-sense conservatism.
Colonel Allen West - No-nonsense, principled Conservative
Addressing current issues and problems facing the United States, Col. West intersperses his speech with the historical context of events and persons throughout our 237 years which have shaped the amazing experience called America.
Col. West, Dr. Ben Carson, Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, and other men and women like them are either the future of the GOP, or the rise of a new conservative party, relegating the GOP to the ash heap of history.
Either way, the future is brighter with them.
Allen West has already been accused of being a misogynist by Debbie Wassermann-Schultz, been called an Uncle Tom, and a "sell-out" to the black community. Bill Maher has gone as far as to say that Allen West is the leader of the "party of the apes" (No barely veiled racism there!), So, I guess it should come as no surprise that another Super PAC has come out with another despicable ad which illustrates Allen West doing the following: Punching white women and the elderly. Taking money from black families. Another day in the pathetic lives of Democrat Super PAC's who seem to be in a sprint to see who can put out the most despicable ads. Lies. Half-truths. Personal smears. A little racism thrown in. Everything is on the table.
This is the "new tone" under Barack Obama and the Democrat Party. When Obama told his supporters that he wanted them to "get in their faces", this is the type of thing he meant. So too his statement, "If they bring a knife, we bring a gun". It's Alinsky, Mao, and Stalin all rolled into one.
For those who are going to call on the Democrats to denounce this ad - Don't hold your breath. They won't. In fact, they will claim to have not seen it, and thus refuse to comment on it, or they will defend it and say that it probably didn't go far enough in smearing Allen West, as they have done with the previous Romney ad.
These people are soulless Stalinists, and these types of ads and campaigning are only going to continue under the new Demokrat Party, unless conservatives start calling them on this type of crap! Instead of the George Will's and the Bill Kristol's lamenting how "unfortunate", or "mean-spirited" these ads are, how about some real passion and righteous anger. God knows that there are plenty of examples of the absolute hypocrisy shown by liberals when it comes to disproportionate responses to perceived slights. Liberal politicians and pundits throw complete hissy-fits and dominate several news cycles over much less than what we've seen with the Mitt Romney and Allen West ads. Conservatives by contrast get silence from party leaders, and hand-wringing from conservatives on the morning shows and weekend round tables.
If the GOP leadership had one-tenth of the guts of Allen West has in standing for his principles, whether you agree with him or not, we would not be in the dire situation we now find ourselves in as a country. Which is all the more reason to fight for people like Allen West, and to completely purge the GOP of its milquetoast leaders and other RINO's up and down the national and state tickets.
TOO FAR? NEW ATTACK AD TARGETING ALLEN WEST DEPICTS HIM BEATING WOMEN
Posted on August 9, 2012 at 12:08pm by Benny Johnson
It is hard to think of an attack ad lower than the one essentially blaming Mitt Romney for a woman’s death, but we may have just found one.
It’s from Florida, and it depicts Allen West (R-FL) in a boxing ring with red gloves on. The cartoon-like video then shows West punching an old woman, a young lady and seemingly a family with children. He also steals cash from the hands of the family and pockets it, all while laughing like a gremlin. Continue Reading Here
Allen West Gives The Blueprint for A Winning Speech and Message.
Take note Romney!
Congressman Allen West speaks to the BREC (Broward Republican Executive Committee) at the Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six Fort Lauderdale, FL
No notes. No teleprompter. Clear, concise, humorous, factual, and uplifting. Allen West speaks with authority, not only because he is a great speaker, but because he is speaking from the heart. It is from his soul. He does not have to search in vain for the right words, because these are his core values. They are not poll-tested. He doesn't have to remember a catchy slogan given to him from a consultant or pollster.
Contrast this with the Obama, who when he is without notes or teleprompter, stutters and stammers his way through. His delivery is stilted, with pauses, stutters, and uneasiness. He is delivering speeches which change, based on which group he speaks to, and in which his message may contradict previous statements. When Obama goes off teleprompter, he stumbles because he can't tell people what his real message and beliefs are. If he did, he would be sunk. He knows it, and the Marxists and socialists around him know it. He stumbles because he is speaking the words of a poll-tested focus group, not what is in his heart. When he is off-prompter, it shows.
The contrast is stark.
Bonus! From Andrew Klavan and Bill Whittle of PJTV. If you have a few minutes, the Ad at the beginning of the video is excellent as well.
There is no doubt that as important as the state of Florida is for the GOP candidates running for the right to oppose Barack Obama, it will be even more critical in the general election.
Since he was first elected to the Senate, we have heard Marco Rubio's name floated time and again as a potential running mate for the Republican nominee. To be sure, Sen. Rubio would be an outstanding candidate and would bring many built-in advantages to the ticket.
That said, I believe he has a fellow Floridian in Congress might be a more promising pick: Congressman Allen West from the state's 22nd District.
"...We saw Senator Harry Reid talk about people being obstructionists. We saw him blame the tea party, we saw him blame senate Republicans. He's even blamed House Freshman on the Republican side. But what Harry Reid does not understand simply, the constitutional conservative grassroots movement called the Tea Party stands for this, they stand for fiscal responsibility, they stand for fiscal sanity. And the American people have to balance budgets in their homes. Our small business owners have to balance budgets to run their businesses. So obviously what Harry Reid calls obstructionism. I look at it, he stands for fiscal irresponsibility. He stands for fiscal insanity!"
Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.), a former Army lieutenant colonel, sends THE WEEKLY STANDARD an email commenting on the Marines' video, and has given us permission to publish it.
“I have sat back and assessed the incident with the video of our Marines urinating on Taliban corpses. I do not recall any self-righteous indignation when our Delta snipers Shugart and Gordon had their bodies dragged through Mogadishu. Neither do I recall media outrage and condemnation of our Blackwater security contractors being killed, their bodies burned, and hung from a bridge in Fallujah.
Tea party favorite Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) said Thursday that Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels would be "very proud" of Democrats for shifting public sentiment against Republicans, and he blamed the press for helping spread their message.
"If Joseph Goebbels was around, he'd be very proud of the Democrat Party because they have an incredible propaganda machine," West told reporters in the Capitol. "I think that you have, and let's be honest, you know, some of the people in the media are complicit in this, in enabling them to get that type of message out."
(CNSNews.com) – Congressman Allen West (R-Fla.) called on the media to “stop being afraid” of President Barack Obama who is “destroying this country.” West made his remarks on Tuesday at a press conference in support of the TransCanada Keystone XL pipeline.
“It’s about time that I asked this from the media: Stop being afraid of this president,” said Rep. West. “Stand up to him and call him out on the shirking of his duties and responsibilities. The House Republicans are passing pieces of legislation, after pieces of legislation about jobs. ”Read More at CNS News
Love him or hate him, Rep. Allen West embodies what we want from our representatives - straight talk without politi-speak. He is a breath of fresh air in the cesspool we call Washington, D.C.

h/t to The Blaze West: "I don't care who's yelling at me, cursing at me, or saying whatever. You're still an American."
This appears to be the new tactic by those on the left to "re-create" the town hall meetings from a year and a half ago in which citizens met with their representatives to voice displeasure at a health-care bill with which they disagreed.. The difference with these new town halls, up to this point, is this: those on the left don't want to ask questions. They hurl insults, yell down the speakers, and to try to ensure that there is no discussion. Contrast this with the town halls from two summers ago, where the participants asked pointed questions, and were certainly passionate, even angry at times. The booed at answers they disagreed with, and cheered for points with which they agreed. The difference was that they allowed their representative to actually dialogue with them.
Allen West is certainly a force to be reckoned with in American politics. He is grounded in his principles and his vision of what he sees for the country. Agree with him or not, he will communicate those principles and vision. I don't have a problem with those who disagree with Congressman West, or any other politician. The problem is that these protesters don't want anyone else to hear what Allen West has to say, and that speaks volumes. I tells me that Congressman West scares the hell out of them, because his message resonates with people.
The left will always let us know who they are most afraid of by the amount of hysteria and vitriol they exhibit. It turns into an Orwellian '2 minutes of hate'-like scene for those whom the left decides to focus on. It is the only explanation for the amount of attention to that has been focused on discrediting someone like Sarah Palin since 2008. On the one hand, the left tells everyone that she is unelectable and not a factor. But in their schizophrenia, they attack her as stupid, evil, dangerous, and responsible for everything from the shooting of Representative Gabriel Giffords, to global warming and rising sea levels. I'm surprised that some media pundit hasn't gone back to the infamous Palin map with crosshairs to point out that some of the states hit by the recent rash of tornadoes were targeted by Sarah Palin.
Now the left is focused on Allen West. Makes you wonder: what are they afraid of?

At a townhall meeting hosted by Congressman Allen West on Monday evening in Pompano Beach, the Q&A segment of the meeting featured a Koran wielding Nezar Hamze, Executive Director of the Council for American Islamic Relations (CAIR). Hamze confronted Congressman West and asked him to point out where in the Koran does it give marching orders to Muslims “to carry out attacks against Americans and innocent people”.
