"Goober" Graham Preemptively Congratulates Obama - "Hats Off to Him"

The feckless Lindsay Graham (R-SC) congratulated the President on the fiscal cliff deal before it has even passed. This fool is illustrative of what is wrong with GOP "leadership. These milquetoast generals haven't a clue as to how to put forth a coherent message of conservatism the American people, giving them a bold choice between liberty and tyranny. With no message, they rush our the most incapable messengers to the Sunday morning talk shows with apologies, and plans of tyranny-light.

Graham did communicate exactly what is wrong with the GOP leadership when he stated: "Hats off to the President - he stood his ground". When are the leaders of the GOP going to "stand their ground" Senator Graham? When are you guys ever going to elevate Senators and Congressman who can actually speak coherently to the public, and don't accept defeat as just part of being in the minority? Spokesman who actually have the ability to expose Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Obama and the rest of these leftist goons and unpatriotic oligarchs for the tyrannical pieces of excrement that they are? It is apparent that Graham and the current leadership are incapable, on any level, of accomplishing that.

There is a huge vote coming up on the most serious assault on the Second Amendment in our country's history. Are Lindsay Graham, John Boehner, Eric Cantor, Mitch McConnell, and John McCain going to come out and say that Democrats and the President "stood their ground", and "unfortunately we were the first to blink"? 'We're sorry we were unable to defend the Constitution as we took an oath to do. The Dems are just too tough'.

They're losers and the country is going to to sink further into despotism as long as voters continue to send them back after each election. GOP voters need to run strong conservative candidates against Lindsay Graham, and the rest of this feckless bunch as they come up for reelection, and DEFEAT them! Believe me, they've earned it.

“What have we accomplished? Political victory for the president. Hats off to the president– he stood his ground. He’s going to get tax rate increases– maybe not at [$250,000], but on upper-income Americans. “And the sad news for the country is that we’ve accomplished very little in not becoming Greece, or getting out of debt. This deal won’t affect the debt situation. And it will be a political victory for the president, and I hope we have courage of our convictions when it comes to raise the debt ceiling to fight what we believe as Republicans. In a 1995 interview, Sen. Diane Feinstein stated that her goal with the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban was to disarm all Americans.

“If I could have gotten 51 votes in the Senate of the United States, for an outright ban, picking up every one of them… 'Mr. and Mrs. America, turn ‘em all in'. I would have done it. I could not do that. The votes weren't here.”

Still think that gun owners claims are hysterical ranting against "common sense" gun laws? Well, here is proof-positive that these people's goal is to disarm the American people.

Of course Diane Feinstein doesn't hold herself to those same restrictions that she wants to put on everyone else. In 1995, Senator Feinstein admitted to carrying a concealed weapon, saying "I made the determination that if someone was going to try to take me out, I was going to take them with me".

Funny how she doesn't feel that every other American should have the right to make the same decision she made. Hypocrite!

I think it's official now: Bill Clinton is no longer the biggest serial liar to occupy the Office of the President. Barack Obama is able to lie through his teeth to the American people with absolutely ZERO indication that even he is aware that he is doing it. He does it without so much as an eye tick, and with no conscience and no emotion. This is the definition of a psychopath! Dictators throughout history have all had this mental condition, along with a messiah complex (check!). Aside from those of us who are not mesmerized by Obama's speaking style, how can anybody not see that he refuses to take responsibility for anything negative, or takes credit for even those things which he had zero to do with. His frequent stops all over the country, which even in non-election years are little more than campaign stops, are Obama's way of getting his applause fix. He's addicted to it. Applause and adulation are his crack. He desires, and has to have it, just like any other addict. He tells his audience what he thinks they want to hear, even if he has to lie, to get that "high" from the applause that follows.

Obama Abandons Campaign Promise: "Putting Full Weight Behind" Gun Control Legislation

Before he is even sworn in to a second term, Barack Obama says he will put his "full weight behind" passing new gun control legislation. Why now? Yes, the shooting in Connecticut was horrific. But so was the shooting in Aurora, Colorado. Fewer people were killed (26 in CT vs. 12 in CO), but far more people were actually shot (70 in CO vs. 26 in CT). For that matter, the shootings at Virginia Tech University the shooter killed 32 people and wounded and an additional 17. The Fort Hood Army Base terrorist attack (which the Obama Administration still calls "workplace violence), in which Nidal Hasan yelled "Alahu Akhbar!" before killing 13 and wounding 32 was equally tragic.
That the Connecticut shootings included 20 children is what shocked and horrified so many. But it was not the worst mass shooting in U.S. history. It is the age of the victims which is being used to politicize this issue. It is also the timing. The reason that the anti-gun nuts, and especially Obama, did not pursue this over the last 4 years is that Barack Hussein Obama still had a second election to win. To tackle gun control was not politically expedient. The majority of the American public, including many moderates and independents still support the 2nd Amendment. It would have more than likely cost him a second term. Now that he has won a second term, going after Americans' right to keep and bear arms is back on the table.
Now, before some of you go apoplectic, saying that it is just "common sense controls" being put in place, let's look at the legislation being proposed by Dianne Feinstein. It is the most restrictive federal anti-gun legislation ever put forth. For starters, 120 specific weapons will be banned outright. Other weapons will be corralled by certain new criteria, of which only one needs to be met to be considered an assault weapon. Semi-automatic shotguns and handguns are also in the crosshairs of her legislation.
If you already own a weapon which may meet the criteria, she assures us that you will be grandfathered in. However, you will need to be photographed, fingerprinted, have a background check run on you, provide the serial number of the weapon, and get certification from local law enforcement of your identity, and that you possessing the weapon does not violate local or state laws. This will provide a nice database for the government to have if stricter laws are passed in the future requiring the confiscation of these weapons.
This is one more promise to Americans' that Obama has gone back on. The difference is that this one is the most serious threat yet to the liberties and freedoms of all Americans.

The decades-old dairy subsidies (the government interfering in the free market) are set to go away, and if Congress does not pass a farm bill by January 1, three days away, consumers could see a serious spike in the milk they purchase.

Feinstein's "Assault" Ban Includes Handguns, Fingerprinting Gun Owners

Senator Diane Feinstein, who is leading the charge to reinstate the 1994 ban on so-called 'assault weapons', is not stopping at long rifles. The 2013 legislation would also include banning handguns.

From her site:

Bans the sale, transfer, importation, or manufacturing of:

120 specifically-named firearms;
Certain other semiautomatic rifles, handguns, shotguns that can accept a detachable magazine and have one or more military characteristics;
and Semiautomatic rifles and handguns with a fixed magazine that can accept more than 10 rounds.

The 2013 legislation also "strengthens" the 1994 ban by using a 1-characteristic vice a 2-characteristic test to determine whether a firearm goes on the list of banned weapons. Her reason for the legislation also states that it will protect "legitimate hunters" and existing gun owners, by grandfathering weapons owned on the date the legislation is enacted, though gun owners would have to be photographed and be fingerprinted! I'm sure she will give assurances that this database would not be used to identify and confiscate weapons if a more strict gun bill is passed at some unknown future date.

This legislation, like most anti-gun legislation, is being proposed in the wake of a tragedy capitalizing on the raw emotions of people, focusing on weapons instead of the person who actually committed the act. For them, we are supposed to try to understand what was going through their twisted mind, to sympathize with whatever crappy thing that may have happened to them in their childhood. Yet, most people who have bad, even traumatic things happen to them in their lives, and don't go shoot up a school or movie theatre.

Also, Feinstein speaks of "legitimate hunters". This is a classic tactic of the leftists. They try to convince us that the Second Amendment is all about hunting. "Who needs an AR-15 for hunting?", they say. First of all, the AR-15 is a military-style rifle. It is not a military rifle. It fires a .223 round just like any other varmint or small game rifle. The round is not even recommended for deer, as it probably wouldn't take down the deer with a single shot unless hit in a vital area. The only difference is the body of the rifle, which looks like, but isn't a military weapon. Like any other semi-automatic rifle it only fire one shot for each trigger pull, as opposed to a military weapon's multiple-burst when in automatic mode. Second, the Second Amendment is not there to protect hunter's rights. It is there to provide the people (who ARE the militia) with a means of protecting themselves from a tyrannical government, and the means to overthrow it, if necessary. It specifically does not mention specific types of weapons precisely because the founders knew that single fire muskets would become obsolete in the future. A populace with the right to own only muskets and cannons going up against a government with M16's, grenades, mortars, and other sophisticated weapons would be no match, and they knew it. The ability of the People to own modern weapons is vital to their ability to be able to do this. The hunting argument is a red herring in their argument, meant to dumb-down people, and change the argument.

One is classified "hunting" and the other "assault".
The difference? Body style. Both are semi-auto and fire .223 rounds.

This new attempt to weaken the Second Amendment is a lifelong goal of the leftists. A people without the means to defend themselves is much easier to control. For Diane Feinstein and the other leftists, this bill is a move to rid the country of all privately owned weapons, except of course for those in government, the military, and those persons of "privilege" that they designate, else why include handguns be in the bill? This bill is one of creeping incrementalism. They are selling this as a "reinstatement" of the 1994 ban, but they slip in a line to move from a 2-characteristic to a 1-characteristic test which adds even more guns to the list, and out of the hands of the American people. It is just another example of the "Overton Window". Move the bar a little further to the left than it previously was to create a "new norm", until eventually the norm will be no weapons.

This is a time for the American People to stand up once more and reject another infringement on their rights and liberty.

Piers Morgan: Amend Both The Bible and the Constitution

For a man that came to the United States to partake of all that this country has to offer, his constant complaining about it makes you wonder why he came here in the first place. Apparently to Morgan, our Constitution and religious beliefs are fundamentally flawed. In other words, the cornerstones on which this country were built suck.
Piers Morgan seems to be on a crusade to demonstrate how to destroy a career in under thirty seconds. I don't know if he lives in a hermetically sealed capsule, but he appears completely tone deaf to what's going on around him. Over eighty thousand people in the United States have signed a petition to have Piers Morgan deported for his anti-American screeds. Though I disagree with poor Piers, I don't think that this is warranted. We do still have free speech in this country. At least for now. I personally find MSNBC's Martin Bashear much worse than Piers Morgan. Both are condescending boors, but while Morgan is idiotic in his opinions, Bashear intentionally misleads, lies, and is truly contemptuous.
One of the truly humorous aspects to this whole "deport Piers Morgan" thing, is that the British have launched their own petition telling their government that they don't want him back!
Maybe Piers Morgan can land a job in Cuba. I hear that they have even stricter laws against firearms than the Brits.

Warren is fond of playing the role of the “folksy” type who still lives in his modest house in nowhere Omaha and owns an old car he’s had for years. Just plain folk, he’d have you believe. Well, DON’T believe it! This is the same Buffett who constantly travels by private jet; is chauffeured by limousines wherever he goes; regularly stays at 5-star hotels; invests in deals not available to any other investors. Yet, he’d have you believe he’s just like you. Sure!

Lately, Warren has been a shill for Obama. Over and over again, we hear how good ole Warren “wants” to pay more taxes and thinks his wealthy buddies ought to follow suit. “We aren’t taxed enough,” he says. Well, let’s take a closer look at just where Warren stands when it really comes down to paying his taxes. Not at what he says about taxes but what he has actually done regarding the paying of taxes that he legitimately owes.

There are two recent cases where Warren has done everything possible to AVOID paying taxes that he actually owes. The first case involved a 14-year fight over the dividend-received deduction that was finally settled with the IRS in 2005. The second case is still pending after 10 years in which he owes just over $1 BILLION in back taxes. Both of these cases are well-documented and you can satisfy yourself simply by using Google to inquire as to the voracity of these assertions. Also note the timeframes of 14-years and 10+-years; not exactly a haphazard hissy fit. While you’re at it, you might also ask yourself “why” Warren says one thing in public discourse while he practices the exact opposite in his business and personal life. Is not that the definition of hypocrite?

Liberal Myth of 91% Tax On the Rich Debunked

When talking about raising the tax rates on the rich, liberals loooove to point out that tax rates on the so-called rich during the Eisenhower/Kennedy years were 91%, and that it was a period of general prosperity. The fact is, tax rates were 91% during that time. But what they don't tell you is that those rates were not what they actually paid. Due to deductions and other exemptions (what liberals like to call "loopholes"), literally no one paid a 91% tax rate. In fact, no one paid anywhere even remotely close to that rate.

Mark Levin addressed this liberal myth on a recent "best of" show, pointing out what the "effective" tax rate was, that is, what people actually paid in taxes.

So what did the "rich" pay as a percentage back during the 50's "boom" economy?

The highest rate paid during the Eisenhower years was the 49.3% rate paid by those making over $1 million back in 1953. By 1961, their effective rate was down to 27.1%! Hardly the 91% that liberals trumpet every time they can get to a microphone.

Happy New Year! Tax Hikes Kick In on January 1st for ALL Americans

Coming January 1st Americans are going to see some significant, (and some not-so-significant) changes to their tax burdens. At the stroke of midnight on January 1st, ObamaCare kicks in, and with it comes 20 new taxes (for starters) on unsuspecting Americans.

These new taxes do not include the ever-looming tax hikes which will hit every American if legislation is not passed to address the "fiscal cliff", which will trigger an automatic tax increase on every American, automatic across-the-board cuts to spending. Tax increases will include sunsetting of the Bush Tax cuts, shifts in the Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT), which will increase taxes even more for many Americans. Married couples making less than $75K would be subject to the AMT, while single earners making less than $49K would be penalized with tax rate of 26-28%. In addition deep cuts would automatically be triggered for over one thousand government programs including Medicare and Defense.

Tax Hikes Looming after Jan. 1st:

Surtax on Investment Income ($250K Married, $200K Single) - 3.8% increase , meaning tax rates for the following investments: Capital Gains - 23.8% Dividends - 43.4% Other - 43.4%

Medicare Payroll Tax: Employees making over $200K will see their payroll tax increase from 1.45% to 2.35%. Self-employed will increase from 2.9% to 3.8%.

Individual Mandate for ObamaCare: (Takes effect Jan 2014): For anyone not purchasing a health plan, a 1% penalty on your Adjusted Gross Income in 2014 will take effect, increasing in 2015 to 2%. Exemptions to this include religious objectors (i.e Muslims under Sharia Law), illegal immigrants (convenient), people in prison, members of Indian tribes, and hardship cases as determined by HHS.

Tax on insurers: Penalty based tax to be imposed on Health Insurers calculated on profits.

40% Excise Tax on So-called "Cadillac" health plans.

2.3% Excise Tax on the makers of medical devices, such as wheel chairs, prosthetic limbs, etc. Getting old and need a wheelchair? Sorry, but it's going to cost you more to be mobile.

High Medical Bills Tax: Getting old and needing more medicines, surgeries or trips to the doctor? If you're expenses exceed 10% of your gross income, you can no longer deduct those expenses. These expenses are waived for those 65 and older until 2013. So compassionate. What did they say about "Death Panels?

"Special Needs Kids Tax" - If you are a parent with a special needs child you can now use only $2500 of your Flexible Spending Account to pay for programs like schools that provide special needs education, some of which easily exceed $14K a year. Guess it's more cost effective to institutionalize them.

Medicine cabinet tax - Like to use your Health Savings, Flexible Spending, or Health Reimbursement Accounts to purchase over-the counter medications? Forget it,. It's not allowed, except for insulin.

Are you a Medicare Part D recipient? Your tax deduction for prescription drugs was just eliminated. Happy New Year.

This is just the beginning folks. Your "free" health coverage is going to cost you plenty. Those poor people who are without health coverage (which was a myth anyway, as acute care at hospitals was mandated by law, and programs like Medicaid are available for those who couldn't afford health coverage, and weren't old enough for Medicare), like illegal aliens won't be covered, and are exempt anyway.

What Obamacare does provide is the means for the government to insert itself, incrementally of course, into every single aspect of your life, as nearly everything from what you eat and drink, to what kind of lifestyle you choose to live, can all fall under healthcare.

Your life is getting ready to change in a big way, and not for the better.

New York governor Andrew Cuomo says the state of New York is serious about gun confiscation. The Democrat and former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development told an Albany radio station he plans to propose a package of draconian legislation during his State of the State address next month.
“I don’t think legitimate sportsmen are going to say, ‘I need an assault weapon to go hunting,’” Cuomo said, according to the New York Times. “There is a balance here — I understand the rights of gun owners; I understand the rights of hunters.”
Cuomo indicated the state will likely force some kind of permit process on owners of semi-automatic “assault weapons.” In addition to generating revenue and expanding the size and reach of government, the effort will allow the state to confiscate the weapons of citizens who do not comply.
