Another School District Bows To Atheism and Political Correctness

Posted by Brian
Another example of political correctness run amok.  The atheists in our country are increasingly using the courts, with the help of left-wing activist judges, to further push Judeo-Christian values completely out of the public square.  It's not enough that they don't want to believe in God, which is their God-given right ( sorry!), but they don't want to see anything, hear anything, or be around anything which is religious.  They see a Memorial cross from several miles away on a hill out in the middle of the desert, they become offended. They check to see if it is on public land.  If it is, they want it removed. It doesn't matter to them that no one else is bothered by it, or that the men and women it represents were more than likely believers of the God represented by the cross.  It offends them.  "It's unconstitutional!", they scream, basing their belief on the misreading, by a single Supreme Court justice, of a letter written by Thomas Jefferson to the Danbury Baptist Church in 1801, which used the term "separation of church and state" to assure the church that the federal government would not interfere with their free exercise of religion.

There is a cultural war against the values that our country was founded on.  Unless, and until Americans stand up and start to fight back at the ballot box, at the local, state, and federal levels, we will wake up one day with a nation that resembles something out of a George Orwell novel.
